Official Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MID)
Russia has been shaken by the recent terrorist attack in Cuba. Russia sends condolences to the Cuban government and the victims' families, while also condemning the perpertrators and wishing for a swift justice. If the attack was possibly political, Russia would like to send some agents from the Ministry of State Security (MGB) to help the Cuban law enforcement with hunting down the responsible terrorists.
On the other hand, Russia condemns the recent attempt by Japan to assert sovereignty over the disputed Liancourt Rocks. This is due to the possibility that Japan might also assert sovereignty over both Sakhalin Island and the Kurils. If the situation escalates, then the Russian Armed Forces will be sent to deal with Japan.
