Welcome ladies and gentlemen as we get the series underway. Pratapgadh and Hebitaka, two sides from the region of India, two upcoming forces in international cricket, will be facing off to decide who is the better side. This series isn't just to see who's better, but also to create a circle of cricketing nations in India and develop the sport in the region. Pratapgadh and Hebitaka have faced once in the GCF World Twenty20 Championship XIII and once in the GCF ODI World Trophy II. In both bouts, Pratapgadh was the one who came out victorious. Hebitaka will be looking for revenge, while Pratapgadh will be looking to increase their dominance. Pratapgadh has the home ground advantage, but Hebitaka has the ability to face any odds and still come out victorious. This is a series to watch. May the best team win!

Host Information
Pratapgadh has long and rich history, fight battles for over 400 years due to being surrounded by enemies. Pratapgadh has fought battles against the Mughals, the British, the French and the Portuguese for a brief time. Pratapgadh used to be part of an old kingdom in the 1500s called Mewar, the region was named after the son of Rana Udai Singh, Maharana Pratap Singh. In 1567, he and his family had to were forced to escape from Chittorgarh (Capital of Pratapgadh) after the Mughal invasion which resulted in deaths of thousands of Mewaris. Maharana Pratap Singh and his family built a new capital known as Udaipur. Maharana Pratap Singh took the throne when his father passed away in 1572. The Mughals invaded the city of Udaipur, forcing Maharana Pratap Singh and his family to escape and live in the dense forests of Pratapgadh. For the next few years, Maharana Pratap Singh and his fellow people used guerilla warfare against the Mughals and took back most of Mewar, except the regions of Chittorgarh and Kumbhalgarh. Maharana Pratap died in 1597, passing on the throne to his son Rana Amar Singh I. Rana Amar Singh I died in the battle of Kumbhalgarh just a year after his father's death. He had no children which meant a new leader must be chosen from the Mewari people. The one who stepped forward was Rana Rajendra Singh I, who's father worked as a blacksmith. Rana Rajendra Singh I was very aggressive against the Mughals and vowed that he would reunite Mewar and also free the states of Gujarat, Punjab and other parts of Rajputana. In just two years, Rana Rajendra Singh I reunited Mewar after he captured Chittorgarh from the Mughals. Over the years, many Ranas kept fighting the Mughals and captured all of Rajputana, Gujarat, Punjab, regions of Mumbai and Nashik and parts of Sindh. This caused fear among Mughal royals as this achievement of Rana Rajendra Singh I would the Indian population regain their confidence and revolt against the Mughal rule. In the 1840s, the British first arrived in India and took over a few kingdoms near the coastal regions just below the Rajput Empire of Pratapgadh. The British offered Rana Amar Singh II an alliance among the two nations, which Rana Amar Singh II rejected as he believed the foreigners couldn't be trusted. This resulted in a war that carried on for 3 years until the British decided to abandon their lands in India and head back to their country. Many British soldiers during the war, decided to switch sides and fight for Pratapgadh as they had enough of being slaves to the British Army. Many of these British soldiers settled in Pratapgadh and are well respected among the Pratapgadhi population. They are known as Anglo-Indians and have a small community of 990,000 people (Quite small compared to the total population of Pratapgadh which is 990,000,000). In 2010, the Mughals and Pratapgadhis went to war again and this time, the remaining lands of the Mughals were ceded to Pratapgadh.

Enough of Pratapgadhi history of war and violence, let's talk about cricket. Cricket was first introduced to Pratapgadh during the 1840s when the British first arrived. Once upon a time, the colonial troops were enjoying cricket at the beach when few kids and young adults arrived to check on them. They were confused at what the Britishers were playing. One of the troops smacked the ball towards one of the young Pratapgadhis and he caught it with ease. The troops decided to teach the kids how the game is played. They had a translator, which made the explaining much easier. The kids went back home to teach their friends about the game. The adults soon joined in and the culture of cricket in Pratapgadh began. Teams represented localities of the city and played each other for 7 months every year. The first cricket stadium was built in 1948, known as the Legacy Cricket Stadium in Ranthambore. This place has a special place in the hearts of Pratapgadhis and also hosted a test match between the national team and Eastfield Lodge in 2022. In the 1860s, cities started playing against each other, the best players from all localities made up the regional teams. This went on for more than 150 years. The first proper domestic league was set up in 2024, which is known as The Royal Trophy which is a first-class tournament. That is a long time for any proper domestic setup. The Pratapgadh Cricket Federation wasn't created until 1947, with the first chairman being Purshottam Chauhan. The national team was created in 2019 and played against Sajnur at home under the leadership of Sanjay Gadia. Unlike other countries, where twenty-over cricket has overtaken the fifty-over and first-class format, Test cricket is still the most popular format in Pratapgadh today. It is seen as the pinnacle of all cricket as it requires great management of time and use of bowler, patience, strength and character. Cricket continues to grow in Pratapgadh as the facilities and the league improving year by year.

Swarna Bhoomi Stadium, Palika, Rajputana (Capacity: 30,000)
WIP

Rao Deva International Stadium, Bundi, Rajputana (Capacity: 47,500)
The Rao Deva International Stadium was built in 2009, originally built for football purposes. In 2012, the Bundi Football Club sold the stadium to Pratapgadh Cricket Federation and it was converted to a cricket ground. It can seat about 47,500 people and has a tiny field. It is the 8th biggest cricket stadium in Pratapgadh and hosted its first match which was a T20 match between Pratapgadh and Sajnur. The temperature during the summer season in lowest in March and highest in May. The lowest temperature in March is 19 degrees and the highest is 33 degrees, while the lowest temperature in May is 28 degrees and the highest is about 43 degrees. So we recommend you to drink plenty of water.

Due to its small field size, the boundaries are short and the pitch is flat which makes it a batting paradise. This place is perfect for T20 matches and the fans enjoy some hard-hitting action.

Rajsee Udyaanon, Jaipur, Rajputana (Capacity: 52,000)
The Rajsee Udyaanon (English Translation: Royal Park) is a park in Jaipur, with beautiful gardens and water fountains around the park. The stadium was built in 1960 and has a capacity of 52,000 people. It is home to the Jaipur Cricket Club (domestic) and Someshwarpuri Cricket Club (Local). The stadium is the 4th biggest cricket stadium in Pratapgadh along with Jaisalmer Cricket Stadium and Suryapur Cricket Ground. The temperature in Jaipur varies a bit. The temperature from March to July during the summer season is at its lowest in March and highest in May. The lowest temperature in March can go from 15 degrees to 31 degrees while in May it can go from 25 degrees to about 40 degrees. So it is quite hot during peak summer.

The pitch is perfect for batting for the first two days, but the pitch begins to break up due to the scorching heat of Pratapgadhi sun. The pitch offers more assistance to spinners on the last two days of a test match. The home ground hasn't helped Jaipur CC much but is still one of the best quality pitches found in Pratapgadh.

Gaitonde Stadium, Mumbai, Maratha Pradesa (Capacity: 54,000)

Pratapgadh's Unbelievable Victory Against Kryenia! Knocked Out Of The Group Stage With A 4-1 Record!
Written by Saurav Mishra

They did it! Pratapgadh has taken down the number one side! Pratapgadh has shocked the Krytenians, defeating them by 5 wickets! A celebration in Pratapgadh has erupted. This is a bittersweet moment, though, as Pratapgadh have been knocked out of the ODI World Trophy II group stage. Pratapgadh had an impressive record, four wins and only one loss against Gruenberg, but couldn't make it to the Super Eights as Gruenberg had a superior net run rate. However, this moment is like winning the trophy as Pratapgadh has made their mark in the cricketing by defeating Krytenia. Krytenia batted first and scored 299 for the loss of 8 wickets, but Pratapgadh were able to chase them down, scoring 301 and losing only 5 wickets in the process.

Lynton Saxon won the toss for Krytenia and chose to bat first. The best decision is to always bat first at The Oval. The Krytenian openers, Shelton Schneller and Howard Tatton came out to the crease and Gondalwala had a discussion with his brigade. He hands Kartik Kakadia the ball and goes back to his fielding position. Howard Tatton is the one to play the first ball of the innings. Kakadia bowled his first ball and Tatton nicked it, but the keeper (Javed Kazmi) couldn't the reach the ball as it was too low and touched the ground before he could even reach for it. Kakadia was bowling away from Tatton as he knew that Tatton is eager to score runs and he would go for every ball. Kakadia bowled another outswinger and Tatton nearly nicked it, Kazmi caught it with ease and praised Kakadia. The first over saw no runs scored as Kakadia looked like he had control over the Krytenian openers. The second over was bowled by Abdaal Rahman who only conceded two runs in his over. However, disaster struck for the Krytenian side when Tatton was gone for a duck as he lost his middle stump against Kakadia's delivery. By ten overs, Pratapgadh got rid of both openers and Krytenia were on 43. Kakadia took one wicket and conceded 23 runs in his five overs, Rahman also took a wicket and conceded about 20 runs with a maiden over. Shahane, Tenzin and Sanghavir were brought into the attack. Shahane bowled five overs, while Gondalwala alternated between Sanghavir and Tenzin as Sanghavir bowled three overs and Tenzin bowled two overs. By 20 overs, Krytenia were on 101 and lost another two wickets, both taken by Shahane. Tenzin and Sanghavir were still part of the attack for the next 20 overs. Farhang Gondalwala his five overs and both Tenzin and Sanghavir managed to take a wicket. By 30 overs, Krytenia were on 167 for the loss of 6 wickets. Abdaal Rahman can into the attack in the 40s as Gondalwala decided too have Kakadia and Shahane bowl the final ten overs. In his last five overs, Rahman gave away 37 runs, but also managed to take another wicket. Tenzin gave away 11 runs in his last two overs and Sanghavir gave away 18 runs for his last three overs. After 40 overs, Krytenia were on 233 for the loss of 7 wickets. They were really going for the big runs but were also losing their wickets regularly. It looked like Krytenia would collapse and fall under 260, but cricket showed its magic. In the last ten overs, the Krytenians managed to score 66 runs and lost one wicket in the process. Shahane and Rahman took two wickets each while Kakadia, Sanghavir and Tenzin grabbed a wicket each. Gondalwala's plan completely backfired as Krytenia ended up on 299 for the loss of 8 wickets. Pratapgadh now had to chase 300 to win this crucial match.

Then came Pratapgadh's turn to bat. There was no room for any mistakes by Rathore and Parte, they couldn't afford to lose an early wicket. The Krytenian skipper, Lynton Saxon, decided to bowl the first over himself. The openers didn't go the ball yet and Lynton Saxon got a maiden over. The Pratapgadh batsmen played it safe and accumulated about 72 runs in ten overs. Rathore was on 48* and Parte was on 24*. In the next 10 overs, Rathore went past 50 and Parte also scored his second ODI half-century. However, Parte nicked a ball off Lovatovic and was caught behind facing his 46th delivery. Nusrat Khan came to bat one down and assisted Rathore in keeping the run rate up and scored a wonderful 38 off 29 balls before losing his off stump to Lovatovic. Darsheel Upadhyay came into bat but lost his wicket on his 23rd delivery, scoring 25 runs in his innings. The captain, Farhang Gondalwala, assisted his companion and Rathore successfully scored his maiden ODI century, the second Pratapgadhi to score a century in ODI cricket. Rathore finally ended his innings on 113 off 93 balls, a marvellous inning. A great return by Rathore, who struggled to bat after going past 50, has finally scored the century he has been working so hard for. Gondalwala also contributed 30 runs to the score before being caught behind on his 28th ball. Javed Kazmi and Savir Sanghavir were the ones who took Pratapgadh beyond 299 and won the match. Pratapgadh finished their innings, scoring 301 in 40.3 overs, losing only 5 wickets. They did it, Pratapgadh defeated the one number team in ODI.

The Pratapgadhi team ran across the field to join Kazmi and Sanghavir for the celebration. This was a huge achievement by the Pratapgadhi team and no less than a win in the final. Having the perfect 4-1 record, you would believe Pratapgadh would be in the finals. That was not the case as Gruenberg came second, one place above Pratapgadh due to having a higher net run rate. Finishing on 4 wins and only one loss and not qualifying hurts, but Pratapgadh have proven they are no less than the top teams. This is what Gondalwala had to say after the match, "I am incredibly proud of my team and what we have achieved today. The bowlers did their job, we were just unlucky in those last ten overs. After aggressive batting again helped us overcome a big team like Krytenia. Sadly, we aren't going to qualify for the super eights even after such a great performance in this edition of the ODI World Trophy, we have certainly made our mark. We will come back even stronger next time. For now, let's celebrate this achievement!"

Pratapgadh have denied Krytenia a perfect record of 5 wins and 0 loses. Krytenia will be going on to the super eights, with the Krytenian population and the world questioning the team's inability to beat an unranked team. Pratapgadh were knocked out of the ODI World Trophy II, even with a brilliant record of 4 wins and 1 loss against the hosts, Gruenberg. But Pratapgadh have earned the respect of fellow cricketing nations. This isn't the end though, Pratapgadh will continue to progress in the cricket world. One thing that makes the Pratapgadh special is their will to fight on and the courage to stand up to the top elite teams. Not just Pratapgadh, but teams such as Sajnur, TJUN-ia, Saint-Domingues, Garbelia and many more gave a good fight to the elite teams. The next edition of ODI World Trophy will be interesting. For now, goodbye and take care!

Second Division To Be Introduced In The Royal Trophy
Written by Saurav Mishra

Cricket in Pratapgadh is progressing even more quickly now due to increased international activity. The Pratapgadh Cricket Federation (PCF) first announced the creation of The Royal, a first-class tournament involving many districts of Pratapgadh, in the year of 2022. The first season was to be played in 2023 all the way to 2024. However, this was delayed due to financial reasons when Warrior Sports backed away from sponsoring the tournament and clubs were still being restructured. The first season was finally played in 2024. It started in January and each round took place each month. It ended in February 2025 with the final, won by Ranthambore CC when they defeated Lavpur CC. The second season is arriving next year, 2026, but PCF already has some huge announcements.

The PCF held a press conference on 13th April 2025. In the press conference, PCF Chairman Darshan Negi, announced that a second division will be introduced to The Royal Trophy. The Royal Trophy's first season was played between 14 teams, each team playing 13 matches. The second division will include Palika CC, Gurdaspur CC, Indraprastha CC, Bundi CC, Kota CC, Kumbhalgarh CC, Jodhpur CC, Nashik CC, Vadodara CC, Uparkot CC, Hanumangarh CC, Bikaner CC, Dungarpur CC and Ompur CC. With the introduction of a second division, promotions and relegations will also be a thing in the second season. So this time, the worst-performing teams in the first division won't go unpunished, yes I am talking about Udaipur CC and Rajendragadh CC. This also brings a new qualifying structure for the playoffs. After all group stage matches are played, the top two from the Division 1 group will qualify for the semi-finals. The top finishing team in the Division 2 group will qualify for the semi-finals, playing the third-placed team from Division 1. Things are getting bigger and better as the PCF is prospering financially due to more profit from domestic matches and sponsorship from Vajra Automobiles and Star Energy. The Chairman of PCF, Darshan Negi, also said during the press conference, "We are not stopping here. Over the next few seasons, we will be increasing the number of divisions to include more teams. Pratapgadh is a vast nation where cricket is played in every corner of the country. So it is only if more teams get involved in the tournament. The Royal Trophy will be known as one of best domestic first-class leagues in the multiverse." Expect to see even more teams in the future. However, this isn't the only good news.

Another good news is that more international players will be playing in the second season of The Royal Trophy. Before PCF even announced the second division, the PCF held meetings with Cricket Hebitaka. The meetings ended with six Hebitakan players being included in the second season of The Royal Trophy. Those six players are Gregor Danson, Hamiko Rukido, Ginnu Singh, Chetan Rajat, Tenali Kumarkar and Freaza Lemm. The players to look out for would Hamiko Rukido and Ginnu Singh. Both are currently at the age of 19, so there is a lot of room for development. Considering how Pratapgadh puts first-class cricket as a top priority, the youngsters could really gain some experience and improve their game. Darshan Negi also talked about Pratapgadh being more active internationally. He said, "Cricket in Pratapgadh has really improved due to international activity. Players played for their respective regions for years and believed there were no more opportunities for them. However, we participated in the tenth season of GCF Test cricket which saw the birth of our national team. Since then, we became more popular among cricketing nations, known as the dark horses of cricket along with Sajnur and other nations. We are trying to use this popularity gained from international cricket to improve cricket back at home." As he said, he is trying to improve domestic cricket in our nation, using the popularity gained from international cricket. Over the next few seasons, we could be seeing more international players signing with Pratapgadhi clubs. They could use The Royal Trophy as a way to get more experience and participate in one of the fastest rising first-class cricket championships in the multiverse. Things are surely getting better for the PCF.

That is all we have right now about The Royal Trophy. Ranthambore CC will be the one to look out for in the second season after winning the first-ever season of The Royal Trophy. And don't forget Lavpur CC, no one expected them to end up in the finals from the start, but Imran Ansari led his team till the finals which shows that one team can achieve anything if they are determined. It is possible that more international players will be signing with Pratapgadhi clubs. For now, goodbye and take care!
