President Tee Hsien Moong Closes All Travel From East Chanchajilla

SINGANA : President Tee Hsien Moong ordered that all travel directly from East Chanchajilla would be closed off in the wake of the recent spike in violence that has the world worrying of escalated warfare between the East and the West. The developing attacks on East Chanchajilla by West Chanchajilla's dictator Frederick Armbar came to a head on Tuesday with a large-scale offensive that saw rockets careen across the East, killing hundreds of people.

Tee Hsien Moong stated that the emergency measure is to prevent West Chanchajillan agents from guising within East Chanchajillans as they travel, thereby preventing future attacks on governments sympathetic to the East. Presdient Tee Hsien Moong spoke with President Boer of East Chanchajilla at length following the attacks, and stated that Siniapore stands with his government although he urged restraint and a different path for an outcome of the issue that didn't involve war.

Commercial airliners from East Chanchajilla were diverted today to Utobania and Jyau, and if the travelers are Siniaporean residents, they must go through intensive vetting at ports of entry after customs checks in foreign countries. Utobanian and Jyaueze officials are on board with the new guidelines.

THE KOSSMIL PAPER

KOSSMIL JOIN TAFCA

Date- 25 February 2021

History has been made in Kossmil, with the news of the newly formed nation joining and being accepted in Trans Adula Fair Commerce Accord (TAFCA). Trans Adula Fair Commerce Accord is a international trade agreement that was established on 6th May 2011 by the nations of Vitosium, Austrolis and Timeria, and currently there are now five members of TAFCA which are the three founders (Vitosium, Austrolis and Timeria) and the two recently joined members of the Republic of Kossmil and the Islamic Republic of Emmiria.

Image

There also the announcement from TAFCA that their pledged to help develop the Kossmilian economy with the President of Timeria, Aneya Raso also pledged ☫350 million to help develop Kossmil’s economy. President Mikhail Kuznetsov release a statement that he overjoyed that Kossmil is being accepted in the TAFCA and he owie gratitude to the TAFCA organisation that pledged to help the Kossmil economy, he also praise President Raso for his pledged of ☫350 million into the economy too.

The reaction of Kossmil joining and being accepted in TAFCA is mostly positive, a statement by Prime Minister Cherdenko who is in charge of the Conservative Party in which he said that Kossmil has a bright future ahead with the support of TAFCA behind them. This statement was also echoed by Deputy Prime Minister Krukov who is in charge of the People's Party, he was very supportive of Kossmil joining TAFCA and that he added that the people of Kossmil will not suffer.

But there were some who were against Kossmil joining TAFCA, The Patriot Front members has mixed opinions on Kossmil joining TAFCA with some member stating that Kossmil should open diplomatic relation with the Holy Empire of Drambenburg in hoping of economic support from the empire. The only political party who is fully against the TAFCA membership is Kossmil Communist Party, with a statement from General Secretary Stanislav Safonov which he questions the government decision to join TAFCA where he feel the people of Kossmil should vote on this manner and that he states that government should've open diplomatic relation with the People's Republic of De Yuan.

VILANJA SENTINEL
EAST CHANCHAJILLAN FORCES UNLEASHES AIRSTRIKES AGAINST WEST
FULL-SCALE OFFENSIVE UNDERWAY

VILANJA - East Chanchajilla has launched an offensive into West Chanchajilla, unleashing air strikes and artillery barrages aimed at Frederick Armbar's forces who control the region.

Video footage showed civilians fleeing towns with columns of smoke rising in the background and jet trails visible in the sky. Activists and observers say at least seven civilians have been killed so far.

At least 6 East Chanchajillan troops have been killed in the assault so far, according to military officials.

East Chanchajilla's offensive was triggered by weeks of tensions escalating after West Chanchajillan agents committed multiple deadly terrorist attacks within the country and a massive rocket barrage that killed over 540 people on Monday. The Zamastanian president Atticus Moreau announced on Tuesday night that Zamastanian troops would remain on standby if East Chanchajilla mobilized for an offensive.

On Thursday, hours after the bombing had begun, President Gideon Boer issued a statement supporting the offensive.

"We are ready to crush the diabolical state of Armbar's regime. We are at war and will never relent until the dictator is removed from office, either by revolution or by us."

The Coalition of Crown Albatross security council is due to convene on Friday to discuss the offensive at the request of its five current Euronian members, but it is not expected to deliver a strong rebuke to East Chanchajilla, given tacit Zamastanian support and other's ambivalence. Drambenburg was reportedly pushing for the council to at least make a joint statement but it was unclear on Thursday whether even that would be possible.

Image

The CCA secretary general, Katherine von Wettin, called on East Chanchajilla to act with restraint and “ensure that the gains we have made in the fight against repressive regimes are not jeopardized. I will discuss this issue with President Boer on Friday.”

The East Chanchajillan leader marked the launch of the offensive, dubbed Operation New Fall, with a tweet, saying that it was being conducted by East Chanchajillan and Eastern-backed West Chanchajillan militias, against Armbar's forces.

“Our mission is to prevent the creation of a terror corridor across our western border, and to bring peace to the area,” the president wrote. "We may bring the fight farther if we must."

The CCA Observatory for Human Rights, a Quetana-based war monitor, said civilians in bordering villages had begun fleeing deeper inside the Western-held region, although a significant portion of refugees are fleeing in the opposite direction towards the Eastern forces. Omi and Vicalvi, key cities and administrative centres for the Armbar regime, were hit by airstrikes, a spokesman said.

INTRODUCTION OF SEIAA WORRIES PROSPECTS OF PEACE TALKS

BUENA VERA, ARTEGANA - Representatives of the Qolaysian mediation team at the now-stalled peace talks in Artegana have expressed worry about the formation of the South Eastern International Association of Adula (SEIAA), which associates the government of Togaria with several south east Adulan nations who are potently against the Qolaysian government's actions in Togana. On Thursday, the SEIAA Charter was signed by the governments of Alecburgh, Togaria, Nebetia, San Martina, and Ireqa, who have committed to an alliance of economic and military cooperation. The agreement, although allowed under sovereign laws, has broken a number of agreements made during the course of the peace talks with Qolaysia and Togaria, say Qolaysian representatives.

"How are we supposed to have any beneficial outcomes in these talks if our adversaries are committed to an international pounding of association?" asked Kyai Marimu, a Qolaysian representative in Buena Vera. "While all nations are allowed and legalized under international coalition law, and the blame falls not at the feet of Alecburgh or the matriarchy, we condemn Togaria for their blatant disregard for our process for peace."

Togaria's acceptance into the alliance, Qolaysia's government is concerned, will give it more of an upper hand in the conflict's process for peace and the ongoing crisis in the island of Togana, where rebels have been fighting for independence for nearly ten years.

Republic of Cyruda Joins SEIAA, Establishing New International Alliance

The Republic of Cryuda has officially joined the Southeastern International Association of Adula (SEIAA), with President Guiler Batemara celebrating the occasion in a national address, praising diplomats and delegates of the republic for establishing a more secure series of diplomatic relations with multiple southeast Adula nations. The SEIAA is comprised of 7 nations, including Alecburgh, San Martina, Togaria, Nebetia, Ireqa, and the Mist Carthara Islands.

"Today's developments are a step for the future," gleamed President Batemara. "The republic is grateful to the SEIAA for their acceptance of our diplomats."

All 6 prior members of the SEIAA signed onto a ratification, beginning a process of ratification that resulted in the Croix Sea state joining the economic and military alliance.

Speaking in Byanmar, President Batemara said, “Cyruda is now part of the SEIAA family, a family of seven nations and almost 100 million people. A family based on the certainty that, no matter what challenges we face, we are all stronger and safer together.“

Ministry of Transportation reveals High-Speed Rail Project

Sunday, 28 February 2021

West Somodi TR44, one of the several concepts presented during the announcement

By: Fyrwa Sydaman
Senbodia - During the weekly address to the nation, President Komansa S'deri intends to present the Ministry of Transportation’s new High Speed Rail project, a plan that intends to connect all of the United States’ largest urban areas in a single, federal rail system. Although the nation’s primary railway company, the Federal Railway Conglomerate (FRC), already operates high-speed service with the States Service, it announced through the Ministry of Transportation that it will begin preliminary work on a fully-realized High Speed system, with multiple concepts already considered including both on traditional lines (even so far as to retrofit trains onto existing lines) up to building a wholly new system.

Throughout the announcement, which was accompanied by multiple promotional videos of the various concepts the FRC had considered, there were several interludes by both Minister for Transportation Guiela Mana and CEO of the FRC Buua Canaba that explained the process the agencies would go through to explore the project and put it into motion.

At the same time of the announcement, the S'deri government released a white paper on the project, adding in further details about the project such as seeking foreign investment for both financing, construction, and the requisition of the trains proper, the latter of which was noteworthy for bringing up Timerian railway companies as potential partners.

At the moment, the Ministry of Transportation has stated that it is in the “very early preliminary exploration phase” of the project, where it intends to conduct feasibility studies across the nation to determine the best possible routes and whether using existing tracks or building new ones entirely is the preferred option. Spokespeople from the Ministry have emphasized that the project has no definitive timeline, and that the main goal is to initiate construction as soon as 2023.

VILANJA SENTINEL
EAST CHANCHAJILLAN FORCES CAPTURE STRATEGIC WEST CITY OF OMI
FULL-SCALE OFFENSIVE HAS PUSHED BACK WESTERN FORCES, ARMBAR REPORTEDLY IN HIDING

OMI, WEST CHANCHAJILLA - East Chanchajillan military forces backed by Zamastanian advisors have finally captured one of the largest and most populous cities in West Chanchajilla following days of intense bombardment, military officials and activists announced Sunday.

The city of Omi in the northeast of the People's Republic sits on the highway linking the capital of Ivora with other major cities across the country and is considered critical to the dictator Frederick Armbar's forces, meaning its capture by the East is a major loss for his regime. Its capture is the latest in a series of military triumphs for the East Chanchajillans, whose forces have taken control of most of the northeast of West Chanchajilla from regime forces, largely because of intelligence support from Zamastan.

"Our armed forces continued operations in southern parts of Omi with the aim of putting an end to crimes committed by Armbar's forces," army spokesman Brig. Gen. Mykcal Brodey said Wednesday.

East Chanchajillan government forces have been on the offensive for nearly a week after the West committed extensive terror campaigns and rocket attacks on the East. The fighting is the most intense since the 2019 Turania Offensive, and certainly is the most direct since the 1972 war.

In recent days, the East Chanchajillan forces have captured more than a dozen villages there as the regime's defenses began to crumble. President Boer has stated that the military's objective is to "end the threat of the regime, either by force or by revolution." There are reports of rebel factions against Armbar's regime joining East Chanchajillan forces in the offensive against them.

As of Sunday, February 28th, 2021, which is day five of major offenses against the West and also five days since the rocket attacks of February 23rd, 78 East Chanchajillan troops have been killed and at least 400 Western troops have been killed. The death toll from 2/23 was also updated by the government today, and sits at 548 people.

VANBERSON CALLS BOER, URGES RESTRAINT

President Arthur Vanberson (Labour Party) has called East Chanchajillan President Gideon Boer in the wake of East Chanchajilla's military offensive against the West and the socialist dictator Frederick Armbar, urging the President to use restraint in the endeavor to "take down the regime at all costs", in Boer's own words.

East Chanchajillan troops have moved quickly through West Chanchajilla after weeks of violent terror attacks perpetrated by the West pushed the East to retaliate with airstrikes and now a ground invasion, with the city of Omi falling to Eastern forces today.

"Versenia stands with the East," Vanberson stated in a speech, "but we urge restraint in the military offensive."

Image

"I told President Boer that we are here to help, but the East's military needs to practice caution. Airstrikes against urban areas may cripple the regime, but it will come at the loss of innocent lives. Please, Mister President, use your superior force for its use: efficiency, not recklessness."

Versenia's government closed diplomatic relations with the West in early January after multiple issues arose with diplomats and delegates from the People's Republic involving drug trafficking charges.

Man who attacked Qolaysian student sent to psychiatric hospital

An Albarinean court has sent a man who attacked a Qolaysian student in Saint Raneau in October to a psychiatric hospital

Image

Saint Raneau - An Albarinean court on Sunday ordered a man who attacked a Qolaysian student in the capital in October to be sent to a psychiatric hospital.

The capital district court said the attacker, a 29-year-old Albarinean man of Zalluabedi origin who was not further identified, was mentally ill and suffering from religious delusions and therefore could not be held legally accountable for the attack. He had been charged with attempted manslaughter and dangerous bodily harm.

The man hit the Qolaysian university student on his head in front of a synagogue during the holiday of Sukkot. The student had to be admitted to a hospital with severe injuries but survived the attack.

A judge said while it was clear “this was a targeted attack on a Qolaysian,” the attacker was a “mentally ill person who acted on his own,” SRT reported.

LIVE: Zayyaan al-Akhtar Recommits To Grand Alliance
In the wake of SEIAA charter and tensions in Qolaysia, Zalluabed strengthens alliance with Allies

President Zayyaan al-Akhtar has announced that Zalluabed will recommit to the "Grand Alliance", more officially known as the "Trans-Toyana Prosper Alliance" (TTPA), with their allies of Drambenburg, Qolaysia, Buckingla, Styrae, and Beleroskov in the wake of multiple geopolitical moves in the region. Most significantly to the TTPA's concern is the signing of the SEIAA Charter, which brought 7 nations into a economic and military alliance to counter growing Drambenburgian influence in the region, according to Zalluabedi diplomats.

"We are committed to our foreign alliances," Zayyaan al-Akhtar said when prompted by a reporter. "Drambenburg's influence in our national security is vital to our nation's sovereignty, as are our friendships with Buckingla and the government of Qolaysia. Beleroskov's endeavors too are so essential, and we must share a bigger part of cooperation in the future."

Zalluabed's government has long been a bend to economic opportunities from foreign governments, especially in the realm of oil reserves and maritime trade. The introduction of SEIAA, as well as the already present reality of other regional organizations like WEDA and CAMDA, pressured Zalluabed into the TTPA in November of 2020, allowing Drambenburg to establish a naval port in the capital city of Zakaraban.

UBOTROV THREATENS SANCTIONS ON SEIAA OVER TOGARIA-QOLAYSIA PEACE TALK STALLS

President Nikolai Ubotrov of the Federation of Beleroskov responded today to a statement from SEIAA Rep. Devon Lakeson of Alecburgh, who had made a statement countering Zalluabedi President al-Akhtar's comments regarding the state of the TTPA;

"There is no ill-will here towards the member nations of SEIAA, but the direct implications of dragging the direct adversaries of a key proponent ally of the TTPA, meaning in this instance the inclusion of Togaria, into such a versatile alliance during the height of tensions and the culmination of a peace process, long overdue, mind you, is exceptionally careless. Not in regards to the government of Alecburgh, but in regards to the government of Togaria. The Togarian government must step away from SEIAA if they wish to have any foothold in negotiations to end the fighting in Togana.

Image

The government of Beleroskov, in full solidarity with our allies in the government of Qolaysia and sister alliances in the Grand Alliance of the Trans-Toyana Prosper Alliance, demand that the government of Togaria and President Zophar Lawson take immediate steps to restart the stalled peace negotiations in Buena Vera, or cease their involvement in the Southeastern International Association of Adula. A non-negotiable to either of these terms is in full effect, and if ignored, the government of Beleroskov will initiate severe sanctions on all member states of SEIAA."

President Ubotrov's planned sanctions, if needed to be implemented, would target significant sectors of the SEIAA member states' economies, including manufacturing, agriculture, and a total ban on food imports.

AIRSTRIKES PUMMEL WEST CHANCHAJILLAN MILITARY POSITIONS, MOREAU CALLS ON ARMBAR TO SURRENDER

Image
Mobile phone images captured one of the Zamastanian airstrikes on a West Chanchajillan military site on the morning of March 1st, 2021

TOFINO - President Atticus Moreau ordered the Zamastanian Air Force to conduct airstrikes on six West Chanchajillan military positions on Monday morning, striking key component facilities near the capital of Ivora as the East Chanchajillan military continues to make significant gains against the regime. In a statement following the airstrikes, Moreau called on the West Chanchajillan dictator Frederick Armbar to resign or surrender.

"Armbar, your tyranny ends today," Moreau said blatantly in an address following the strikes. "You have corrupted the wonderful people of West Chanchajilla for too long, you have tormented and terrorized the East and the greater world for too long, and you must comply to international law and submit yourself to surrender."

The President did not address whether or not further military action would be conducted against the Armbar regime, although previous statements by the administration have addressed that "all options are on the table".

The airstrikes were performed by 6 Z-14 fighter jets which flew over West Chanchajillan territory. They met no opposition and flew under their covert jamming software, striking six locations that are essential to West Chanchajillan military operations, including the Defense Ministry headquarters in Ivora, several information centers, and weapons facilities tied to the missiles that were launched into East Chanchajilla on the 23rd. Official estimates say that at least 25 West Chanchajillan military personel were killed in the strike.

"Further military action, at least at this time, is classified information." Secretary of Defense Camille Boffrand said to reporters. "One thing we know with certainty is that Frederick Armbar is a clear and present threat to East Chanchajilla and the world over, and Zamastanians are also in the way of harm for as long as he's in power. We are officially committed to his ousting, and we are in full support of the East Chanchajillan government."

The deployment of Zamastanian troops in West Chanchajilla appears unlikely at the time being, although there is an indication that airstrikes against the regime may continue should Armbar continue to stay in power.

SPEAKER CHASTAIN CALLS ON CONGRESSIONAL HALL TO IMPLEMENT SANCTIONS AGAINST SEIAA

Image
Speaker of the Chamber Natasha Chastain (GLP)

Speaker of the Chamber Natasha Chastain (Liberal Party), has made an official referendum to Congressional Hall to establish sanctions against member states of the Southeastern International Association of Adula, commonly known as SEIAA, after the group accepted Togaria as a member participant of the organization. The referendum call comes in the wake of Togaria's decision to stall peace talks between their government and Qolaysia over the conflict on the island of Togana which has been raging for more than a decade.

President Moreau, and previous Zamastanian administrations, have been supportive of Qolaysia's government, despite their recent leanings to Drambenburgian influence and questionable decisions by their government in their response to an attemted coup in November of 2020. Qolaysia, for its part, has committed extensive economic ties to Zamastan and her allies, specifically regional allies like Quetana, Saint Croix and Bens, and Emmiria. The soverignty of Qolaysia's claim over Togana is also a sympathy of Zamastanian politicians, who largely see their claims as legitimate over Togaria's.

Additionally, Togaria has been accused of human rights abuses in the conflict, including the killing of citizens and non-combatants, the burning of villages, and the destruction of towns and villages through indiscriminate burnings.

"SEIAA needs to answer for their support of an unruly regional government," said Chastain in a memo.

Proposed sanctions on SEIAA are varied by individual states, with countries like Alecburgh being targeted to slightly more of an extent due to their leading role in the organization than others who are less so, like Ireqa and Nebetia. Sanctions are purely economic, targeting the personal earnings of political leadership and the exports of individual national economies in the regard of food and manufacturing.

The proposed tariffs also come at the behest of the TTPA, with Drambenburg, Beleroskov, Zalluabed, and Buckingla also threatening sanctions.

President Moreau has not made any public comment on the matter.

Queen Diana Responds to the Threats of Sanctions by Zamastan, TTPA

"Good evening all. Three days ago, I offered one of my eight royal advisors, Devon Lakeson, the chance to form a unitary organization with nations around our geographical location. He was hesitant at first, but after realizing what it could do for the matriarchy, he stepped on the gas and hopped to it. Mr. Lakeson contacted many different states including Albarine, Ireqa, Nebetia, and Saint Crox and Bens. The union was able to gain six, yes six different states to join us. These range from the Mist Carthara Islands in the far east of southeastern Adula to Nebetia and Cyruda right near us, or even on our borders. One of these six states turned out to be Togaria. This state in question has done quite... questionable acts during the ongoing Togana War between itself and, the also invited, Qolaysia. Now. I, the Queen of Alecburgh, do not myself condone these acts, but Togaria, the government, the people, and the overall spirit of the country have decided to join us in the creation of the SEIAA. This is something we will never forget. After it was announced that states, including Togaria, decided to join the organization, many international powers took, quite frankly, an over-exaggerated response. States including Zamastan, a nation whose leader, President Moreau, himself supported my recent absolute rule has threatened the use of embargos and sanctions against Alecburgh and the other members of the SEIAA. Let me ask you, Mr. Moreau, are you going to go back on what you said to me? Are you really going to look me in the eyes and let these sanctions happen? Many of these members are small, and much weaker nations than your own. Some in fact have fewer people within their entire borders... than you do in some of your smallest cities. How are we the bad guys for trying to represent these states while you, Beleroskov, and other nations are threatening sanctions against us!? Immature. I am an 18-year-old young woman and quite honestly... I don't think I would sanction someone just because they made friends with someone else. I have offered talks with the TTPA to bring peace between our organizations rather than threats that could harm millions. I am open to traveling across this cursed planet to have a chat with any one of you myself. Think about these offers. Thank you."

The New States within Alecburgh are 'Very Pro-Absolute Rule' says Milo Murphy, ex-chair of the House.

Milo Murphy, former chair of the House, has gone to have a short interview with the Sentinel, here is his most important line during this confrontation.

"Queen Diana... she has supported independence and all of these great things ever since she was born. Now, let us get onto the true trouble we have today. Millions displaced. Millions more migrated. Millions creating cities out of nothing. Some of the newer states such as Kynnshire and Euphrates del Sur are complete, without a doubt, pro-absolute rule. I talked to a friend who moved to the new state of Outer Muskeleuga about a week ago and he has told me that up and down the state corners are flags of the Federal District and each night he hears the national anthem on replay. He told me how he moved due to his company moving there, and went onto say how everybody he has yet to meet... are pro-absolute rule. With 12 new states, a new federal district, and the first-ever National Territory... It's troubling, and these new sub-entities just feel like a ploy for more parliamentary seats. We'll see though."

Rulani and Serra Leon Join TAFCA

Image

North Kai - Today Trans Adula Fair Commerce Accord welcomes in two new members, Rulani and Serra Leon. Both members will be important parts of the future of Adula. With two new member states, TAFCA is expected to increase regional trade and continue plans to better Adula. Adula currently has one of the lowest GDP per capita of any continent and TAFCA hopes to improve this figure in the coming decades. One plan that both Rulani and Serra Leon will be key figures in is the Central Adula-Epsilon Railway. This project will connect members in inner Adula to the Epsilon Sea through Kossmil. This will give greater access to trade routes in the north and between through the Olympic. This project will boost regional exports and give greater opportunities to members in inner Adula. It will also help to boost Kossmil’s economy as it will be a central artery to Adula. The railway will also act as a travel option as there has been discussion of a high-speed railway connecting the region. This would provide a cheaper option to low-income citizens, giving them more opportunities within the region.

Rulani and Serra Leon are also major mining powers within the region. Now in TAFCA it should be easier and cheaper for them to export raw material. The high demand for exporting these materials should be curbed when trading with member states. This will hopefully boost their exports in the coming years and give members access to cheaper raw materials. As their economies continue to grow it will also open up more demand for luxury items and new development. Members of TAFCA are currently discussing an investment plan to establish a blueprint for the next decade.

CHANCELLOR CERFBEER PRAISES MOREAU FOR STRIKES, ENCOURAGES MORE ACTION
Zamastanian Air Force bombers conducted airstrikes on key Armbar regime positions in support of East Chanchajillan military

Gutaai - Chancellor Matthias Cerfbeer of the Republic of Jyau praised Zamastanian President Atticus Moreau on conducting airstrikes against West Chanchajillan military positions following weeks of violence against the East Chanchajillan sovereignty, and encouraged the Zamastanian leader to conduct more strikes to cripple Frederick Armbar's ability to wage conflict.

In a statement following the airstrikes, Chancellor Cerfbeer said "President Moreau displayed true leadership and judgement today. Knocking out the fighting capabilities of the tyrannical madman Frederick Armbar is essential to ending his regime. I encourage President Moreau to keep this adrenaline going. Keep hitting. Don't stop until the snake's head is severed."

Jyaueze lawmakers passed a resolution blocking all travel to and from East Chanchajilla following the escalation in violent attacks by West Chanchajilla, but they also passed resolutions giving East Chanchajilla aid in the form of weapons and medicine in the wake of rocket attacks and a subsequent invasion of the West by the East. Eastern forces have taken a significant portion of territory in the week since they started their offensive, capturing the country's fifth largest city in the northeast.

NNCNEBETIA
President Highland Responds To International Sanction Threats and Queen Diana's Comments

President Brett Highland of Nebetia responded today to prompts regarding the threat of international sanctions from dozens of countries, including Drambenburg, Beleroskov, and Zamastan due to the Nebetian government's association with the government of Togaria through the SEIAA. When asked what he thought about the sanctions, he initially condemned the government of Togaria and their actions in Qolaysia and the island of Togana over the past decade, as well as their actions in the ongoing peace talks.

"Well, Togaria is in the wrong here," Highland said, "and their actions throughout the course of the conflict in Togana are despicable. We condemn them fully, and while we are in an alliance through SEIAA, we are committed to making sure they answer for their wrongdoings."

"Not to mention," Highland continued, "SEIAA has nothing to do directly with the crimes of Togaria. We do, however, have to own the fact that Togaria is now a member state in our alliance, and we are sharing the burden of the hundreds and thousands of civilians they have wronged. And, Togaria's actions in the Buena Vera talks are despicable as well. They have now committed to rejoining the talks and ceasing their freeze, but their actions beforehand are reprehensible."

"With that said, I understand the international community's frustrations with us for aligning with the Togarians. I understand they wish to make sure we understand. And yes, if I was in their position, I would also install sanctions. While I plead with those governments to reverse their decisions, I understand. The government of Nebetia will continue to work to better our relations, and if that means toughening through sanctions, then we will."

President Brett Highland was then asked about comments made by Queen Diana of Alecburgh, who railed the governments of the sanctioning countries.

"States including Zamastan, a nation whose leader, President Moreau, himself supported my recent absolute rule has threatened the use of embargos and sanctions against Alecburgh and the other members of the SEIAA. Immature."
-Queen Diana of Alecburgh

"The Queen's comments highlight her inability to lead," Highland stated in a stark rebuttal. "Among many things, she clearly doesn't understand the importance of functioning democratic government. She ousts her Prime Minister due to a misinterpretation of words from President Atticus Moreau, a man who I highly admire by the way, installs herself as essentially a dictator, and then blames her actions on the encouragement of a foreign leader? That is the real immature act here."

"She seems to take these sanctions personally," Highland continued, "she takes too much pride in Alecburghian patriotism, more so than the collectiveness of the SEIAA. Ironic, if you ask me."

The harsh bashing of Queen Diana by Highland may harm Alecburgh-Nebetian relations, experts say, although the Foreign Ministry has backed the President's comments.

Jupiter Starts Appraisal Drilling at Trogon Off Caspiaa

Jupiter Energy announced appraisal drilling commenced Monday on the Trogon discovery, one of the largest on the Caspiaan Continental Shelf in 2020.

The well is being drilled by the Deepsea Taspi, a semi-submersible rig owned by CIMC and operated by Afjell Drilling.

The Trogon discovery, in the Caspiaan sector of the Tarin Sea, is estimated to contain recoverable resources between 40-120 million barrels of oil equivalent (boe), according to operator Jupiter, which holds a 45% stake in the license.

"This exciting new discovery is located close to existing infrastructure and has the potential to become a new core growth area for Jupiter in Caspiaa," said Jupiter Energy’s Managing Director in Caspiaa, Odin Marstensen, who added the company is dedicated to growing its presence in Caspiaa.

Trogon is located 158 kilometers west of Florø, Caspiaa, at a water depth of 330 meters, and is close to the existing production facilities of the Korre field. The reservoir lies at a depth of 3,250 - 3,400 meters.

Jupiter Energy’s Director of Subsurface in Caspiaa, Steinar Ceass, said, "The main objective of the appraisal well is to collect the data necessary to help provide certainty related to the reservoir, structure and recoverable resources, so the partnership can optimize the development solution.

"Data from this well will also provide valuable information to help de-risk additional exploration and development opportunities in the license and in the surrounding area."

RHAGA TRIBUNE
Emmirian Politicians Move To Sanction Togaria
Consultative Assembly Passes Legislation to Freeze Togarian Assets

RHAGA - The Parliament of Emmiria (Consultative Assembly) passed a vote on Tuesday to sanction assets of the Togarian government after criticism internationally from Zamastan, Drambenburg, Beleroskov, and even Togaria's fellow SEIAA states among others, regarding their human rights abuses in the Togana War and their conduct at the Buena Vera peace talks in Artegana.

President Sulaiman signed the legislation once it was passed by parliament, with Foreign Minister Naadir al-Shaikh issuing a statement announcing the implementation of the sanctions and condemning the Togarian government and her allies.

"The Togarian government's conduct is concerning," Naadir al-Shaikh said, "and until the talks are concluded conclusively for the benefit of the people their government has oppressed in the progress of the conflict, these sanctions will remain in place.

The sanctions target Togarian government officials such as President Zophar Lawson, specifically around their monetary holdings in trade deposits regarding Emmirian connections like luxury goods and manufacturing sectors. Textile manufacturing, a main industry in Togaria, is one of the main addressed sanctions. Other sanctions include automobile industries, agriculture, and avionics.

VILANJA SENTINEL
OFFENSIVE HAS STALLED SOUTH OF OMI AS EASTERN FORCES MEET STIFF RESISTANCE
Now operating with control of West Chanchajilla's fifth largest city, Omi has been hit heavily by regime artillery in recent days

NEAR THE CITY OF OMI, WEST CHANCHAJILLA - East Chanchajillan military forces have stalled their advance through West Chanchajilla one week into the conflict, with mobilization south of the city of Omi coming to a halt as West Chanchajillan forces loyal to the Frederick Armbar regime have congregated their presence there. Regime forces have staged a siege against the city as Eastern forces buildup their presence within the country, bombarding the outskirts of Omi with intense artillery barrages.

One military official stated that "this is the first of what could have been hundreds of major setbacks. We're bogged down at the moment, but our troops are fighting tooth and nail to deliver the outcome we need."

President Gideon Boer spoke to the media, giving an update on troop casualties and delivering a statement praising the valor of East Chanchajillan troops.

"Our troops are the best fighting force in the world," Boer said, "they will not stop until the mission is accomplished."

Boer stated that at least 300 East Chanchajillan soldiers have been killed in the fighting, the majority of whom were killed while capturing the city of Omi. More than five times that number have been lost on the West Chanchajillan side.

Despite the setback and stalled offensive, East Chanchajilla is still making major strides against the regime with the help of Zamastanian air power, indicated by intense airstrikes conducted on Monday by the Zamastanian Air Force.

Huge explosion erupts after 18-wheeler hits fuel train

The government of Cechena has issued a state of emergency for some southern provinces along the border with Birnir after an 18-wheel truck hit a train carrying chemicals and fuels in the town of Cylmam, causing a huge explosion and starting a fire that is expected to burn for several days.

The town of 5,400, about 172 kilometers south of the capital of Grosnoiva, was rocked by the boom around 6:45 a.m., according to authorities.

Authorities said the driver of an 18-wheel flatbed truck lost control of his vehicle, was unable to stop, swerved around a parked vehicle and into a rail crossing, where his truck struck a passing fuel train.

"Nobody was injured or killed," a spokesman said.

A barn burned to the ground, and several nearby houses were evacuated, but most people have returned to their homes.

The first 11 cars of the train were filled with gasoline, coal and petroleum products, causing the initial explosion and fueling a fire that was still burning Tuesday evening, authorities said.

Sulifa's Samaar Values Malls Unit at Z$6.5 Billion in Takeover Bid

Samaar Properties PJSC, the Sulifa-based developer of the world’s tallest tower, plans to take over its malls unit, in a transaction that will value the business at 24 billion dirhams (Z$6.5 billion).

Samaar Properties, which already owns 85% of Samaar Malls, proposed to pay 0.51 shares for every one share in Samaar Malls, the companies said a statement. According to SNNB calculations, the offer values Samaar Malls’ at 1.85 dirhams per share and a 10% premium to its last closing price.

A property glut and faltering demand in Sulifa have driven prices down by more than a third since the market peaked some seven years ago. The decline has been made worse by the tensions in south Adula maritime trade, and Samaar last year temporarily halted new projects.

The company sold its share in Samaar Malls, which operates one of the world’s biggest shopping centers in the East Adula business hub, in 2014. The order book was more than 30 times oversubscribed for the institutional segment, and more than 20 times for the individual part at the top of the price range at 2.9 dirhams.

Military tensions weighed on the business for most of last year, though visitor numbers started to pick up when curbs were eased. Still, Samaar Malls posted a wider-than-expected loss for the year.

The shares of Samaar Properties, the biggest listed developer in Sulifa, last closed at 3.63 dirhams, while Samaar Malls ended at 1.69 dirhams.

Property broker JLL said in January that Sulifan developers are likely to continue a high supply momentum this year, an increase that means two more years of price declines. The chief of Samac Properties PJSC, one of Sulifa's largest developers, said last month it will take at least one to two years for the real estate market to get out of its downturn.

Blanian asks Epsilon for ‘clear gestures’ on nuclear inspections

Constantioan president asks Great Epsilonian counterpart, Ramses Sirus, for Epsilon's full cooperation with CCA watchdog on nuclear inspections, 3/02/2021

Constantiopolis, Constantio - Constantio President Tony Blanian has asked his Epsilonian counterpart, Ramses Sirus III, for “clear gestures” and an immediate return of Epsilonia to the terms of its nuclear deal with world powers, according to his office.

Blanian made a telephone call to Sirus on Tuesday, days after Great Epsilon's foreign ministry ruled out holding an informal meeting with Zamastan and CCA countries to discuss ways to revive the landmark 2012 accord, insisting that Tofino, Constantiopolis, and Cardiff must first lift all its unilateral sanctions.

A statement by Blanian's office said the Constantio leader also asked Sirus for Epsilon's full cooperation with the CCA nuclear watchdog on inspections and expressed his “deepest concern” over Epsilonian violations of the deal that was signed in South Sotoa's capital.

“Having reminded [Sirus] of the efforts made by Constantio with its partners in the last years to reach a negotiated solution, the [Constantio] head of state stressed it was important that Iran made clear and immediate gestures so that dialogue can resume with all parties to the Sokcheon deal,” the statement said.

The accord – officially called the Sokcheon Comprehensive Plan of Action (SCPOA) – saw Epsilon curtail its nuclear programme in exchange for a gradual easing of international sanctions. But it has been hanging by a thread since Ramses Sirus and his regime conducted two nuclear tests in 2016 and 2018, and the international community reimposed punishing sanctions as part of a “maximum pressure” campaign against Epsilonia.

Since then, Epsilon has stepped up its nuclear work in violation of the SCPOA.

Supreme Court justices finish arguments in voting rights case

Cyruda Supreme Court justices on Tuesday asked tough questions of lawyers arguing over the legality of two Conservative-backed voting restrictions in Maskyani in a case that could further weaken the Citizens Voting Rights Act, a landmark 1985 federal law that bars discrimination of any kind in voting.

The important voting rights case comes before the justices at a time when Conservatives in numerous states are pursuing new restrictions after former President Baron Teesa made false claims of widespread fraud in the May 13th election that he lost to Liberal President Guiler Batemara. Conservative proponents of Maskyani's restrictions cite the need to combat voting fraud.

The justices heard arguments by teleconference in appeals by Maskyani's conservative Attorney General Bill Vanas and the state Conservative Party of a lower court ruling that found that the voting restrictions at issue disproportionately burdened minority voters.

One of the measures made it a crime to provide another person’s completed early ballot to election officials, with the exception of family members or caregivers. The other disqualified ballots cast in-person at a precinct other than the one to which a voter has been assigned.

Volcanic ash blots out sun from eruption on Mount Abu

TEMEBOK, QOLAYSIA - The Mount Abu eruption in North Temebok, Qolaysia turned the bright morning dark in the surrounding areas as clouds of ash obscured the sun today as plumes of ash rose 5 miles into the sky.

30,000 people have been ordered to evacuate from the base of the volcano, which is among the most active in Qolaysia.

The 2,600-metre (8,530-feet) Abu was dormant for four centuries before erupting in 2010, killing 3 people. Another eruption in 2015 killed 17 people, while seven died in a 2016 eruption. There are so far no casualties in today's eruption, according to authorities.

The volcano, one of two currently erupting in Qolaysia, has sporadically come to life since then.
