Nationstates for Educators & the WA

Postby The Gallant Old Republic » Tue Feb 23, 2021 2:40 pm

A fairly simple question, but I couldn't find an answer to it.

If I create a nation to set up a Nationstates for Educators region, do I have to resign this nation from the WA?

I have been on NS for a decade, but now I want to use it for a class I'm teaching. The nation for the teacher must sign up for the WA and, under normal site rules, you can only have one nation in the WA. Obviously my intention is not about vote rigging, especially since I don't even vote now! But I wasn't sure if I would be given a "pass" since the second nation is for education or if I would have to cut ties on this nation first to avoid moderation for cheating.

I don't think so.

In fact, all class nations can be in the WA without even supplying an email address.

The multi WA rules applies to all nations regardless.

This seems more like a Moderation question; you might get more concrete answers over there.
(My personal guess is that you'd have to resign.)

Yes. However, once the class region is established, you can resign your WA status on that nation and rejoin on your preferred nation. I can't promise you that you'll keep your endorsements.

Note that class regions are only available to verified educators. You need to be in a staff directory or have a teacher page or something we can check. For instance, we don't hand them out to student teachers. Note also that any student creating a class nation needs to resign any nations they currently have in the WA. The same rules apply to resignations.

This has been on my mind for a bit and would expect the same answer as I thought, but if I used another email or just take off my current email and use it on another WA nation, wouldn't that count as WA multing since I have the guaranteed WA status and then the other WA? I just want to participate in TNP card games without moving
If you want to send me any cards, best if you send it to this one, Holland DS6, I just need more bank on this account if I want to upgrade the limit, but I just keep wanting to buy cards worth more, cards I like or cards for a collection that I am working on, I already had a lot of cards in the catagory, so mind as well make it an official collection that I could possibly already complete. I try not to break the rules, so if I do it by accident, please just tell me mods, although it would have to be through the TG only for mods, like Ransium had to due to class region. I didn't really check for spellings, so it may be a little unclear, sorry. :P More in my factbook on card+gifts.
Finally getting my own card soon!

If you the player are operating more than one WA nation then yes, you are multying. It's quite simple. Class regions, different email addresses, imaginary younger brothers - they're all irrelevant. It's one WA per player maximum, regardless.
