Description
The year is 2164 and humanity is fighting to exist. A vicious race of biomechanical aliens know as the Bydo threaten to wipe the Homo Sapiens species off the face of the Milky Way Galaxy either through assimilation or outright destruction! Despite being stalled, the Bydo Empire continues to conquer more and more Star Systems by the day. But thanks to the efforts of the Space Corps, the military arm of the Human Colonial Alliance, a new line of starfighters and small support craft has been sent to the front.
They are the R-Type program.
Equipped with wave cannons, laser Vulcans, missiles and virtually indestructible combat satellites known as Forces, the R-Craft are possibly the last hope of winning this war. There are many different models of ships and weaponry for aspiring pilots to choose from in order to effectively combat the enemy.

Now blast off and strike the evil Bydo Empire!
Humanity is counting on you.

This RP is a fun little experiment: it focuses on soldiers at the tail end of a civil war. They have already won; there is just one final mission they need to undertake before they can finally go home, after 4,5 years of conflict. The mission: to take one of the final heretic holdouts in a mountain monastery. The RP will be done in a few weeks time, and will be quite fast-paced: focussing on the characters and their already developed relations rather than having to develop those over time.

Description
As the Vermont town of Burlington prepares for their annual Christmas Fair an apocalypse is brewing right under their noses. A week after a patient has been diagnosed with the mysterious "Kongo Virus" that turns its victims violent, the CDC is doing what they can not to cause any panic, but a months-long campaign from a disgruntled former employee might reach a pivotal moment as Congress begins to take the threat more seriously with each passing day. But is it to late? With global cases skyrocketing and patients progressively harder to contain concerns grow and conspiracy theories spread like wildfire. Will this be the end? Or a new beginning?

In this character-driven RP players will take on a role of survivors of a disease-induced apocalypse that turns their friends, neighbors, co-workers and even their loved one against them. Having to face the end of the world as we know it, our protagonists will have to make often inconvenient alliances to keep on living among the dead. As ones will struggle to get by others will thrive in this newfound reality.

Which role will you take? That of a vicious vulture, preying on the sick, weak and the elderly? Or that of a caring guardian, ready to lay down their life for the sake of their ward? That is up to you.

All characters in this RP are original, and all politicians after FDR died office in 1945 have been replaced with fictional characters. Most events that occurred in real history have occurred in this RP, the economy is in the same shape, the climate, healthcare, are all the same. The only difference is America's entrance into the Vietnam War.

President Henry Davis was elected as a Republican as a War Hero, upsetting the ultimate noninterventionist candidate in a long and hard battle in the primary. Davis is similar to Eisenhower, with similar beliefs regarding civil rights, and foreign affairs, a similar tendency to be quiet yet cunning, and an identical emphasis on rhetoric that has kept American politics stable for his past two terms. In 1955 the Republicans took massive losses across the country resulting in losing the House as well as the Senate. In late 1958, President Davis and congress decided to finally commit to the Vietnam War and there is a great fog over the country, not knowing what will happen, as the draft took many young boys overseas.

As 1959 draws closer to an end, Washington begins to heat up with both the primary fields buffing out, many remain in each party's primaries. In a shocking turn of events, President Davis declares to the nation, that he will not give assistance to the Republican Candidates until the primary is over.

In the midst of a time of great chaos and national confusion, where do you stand?

Sauron’s victory seems near absolute. The realms of man have been defeated, and the Dwarves and Elves remain too weak to fight back against Sauron’s forces. Perhaps by Eru Illuvatar’s direct intervention, or some other will of fate, Barad-dur has been affected and no new missives are forthcoming. A pale mist obscures Barad-dur from the dead plains of Gorgoroth, and none who enter to investigate ever return. His lieutenants remain without instruction, and to make matters worse come grim tidings from the East. The Ithryn Luin, thought to have gone from history have returned to the West at the head of a great host. However, although they have already made inroads towards Rhun, what their goals may be remains unclear.

With the Dark Lord unwilling or unable to influence events, his violent and greedy servants have already moved to take advantage of the situation. Sauron’s vassals have become cruel overlords in their own right. To the West, in the desolate lands that had once constituted Arnor, the beast Thuringwethil, long thought dead, terrorizes what few Free People remain West of the Misty Mountains. From within the great peaks of the Misty Mountains a great fiery evil stirs once again in the deep. In the Gap of Rohan, Isengard solidifies its iron grip on the men of the Wold. In the vast depths of the Mirkwood forest, Shelob heralds a great host of spiders where once the Elves called home. Not far from Mirkwood lies the lonely Erebor, lorded over by Smaug the Chiefest and Greatest of Calamities, awakened into a new era of domination.

The Nine Nazgul and other vassals under Sauron enjoy vast lands that he had won for himself. The Witch King, Khamul, the Mouth of Sauron, and more lackeys are spread thin across Middle Earth, leading Sauron’s hosts to ensure his victory. Without the will of Sauron to lead them, it bodes ill for Middle Earth.

Description:

The years is 2091. The Third World War (2061 - 2063) saw humanity unified under a single government for the first time in its long history. The United Nations were a reality, not a dream. Democracy and liberty were safeguarded by the Revised UN Charter, imposed on all member states. Humanity could expand abroad. Colonies were established in Luna, Mars and the Asteroid Belt.

The Luna Colony would house a population of fifty thousand while the various Mars colonies would house a combined population of three hundred thousand. Arts, entertainment and commerce flourished. The colonies of the Asteroid Belt - established by private corporations - were far smaller in size, being mining outposts meant to power up the UNs economy.

It was in one of these asteroid outposts that an ancient artifact was discovered during a mining operation. It pinpointed the location of a dormant Wormhole Gate at the edges of Solar System, which could theoretically allow a starship to travel at faster than light distance. An expedition sent by the United Nations Space Command found the Gate and, using the artifact, activated it.

With no means of knowing where that Gate led, it was sealed off from any starships for two years. But now, despite concerns, the United Nations Space Command has given the green light to Operation Starlight. A joint military-scientific venture, it will see a team of military and scientific personnel take a starship into the Gate. What lies ahead, is unknown to everyone…

Operation Starlight is a character-focused, sci-fi RP whose aim is to tell an epic space adventure influenced by the classics of science fiction. A dynamic RP, the fate of the crew and the shape of the world will be shaped by the actions of the players.

*There is no predetermined plot. The world is shaped by the players. Whether alien cultures encountered are friendly or hostile shall be determined by the crew. Whether the ship manages to escape destruction or suffers considerable damage is determined by the crew. Actions matter. Not only the actions of commanding officers, but also of those of lower rank whose actions may save the ship or jeopardize its fate.

*The OP will provide storylines, with the pace of each storyline determined by the players. While the first storylines will understandably be determined by the OP, later storylines will be determined by the actions of the players and the consequences of those actions.

Description
After the bombing of Fort Sumter, a new army was organized in Western front in Tennessee. The new Army of Cumberland under General Grant have recently won multiple victories and are in high morale as they chase back Confederate Rebels. The atmosphere in the camp is light, even with southerners who are fighting for the Union among them. Shiloh seems like a good place to stop for camp. Little do they know that they will be ambushed and will have to fight desperately to try and survive the ambush.

The world is dying, and there is no hope for a cure. Poisoned by a vengeful elven mage that unleashed the Rot on the world. A blackish-purple substance that kills any plant life and poisons any water it touches. After three years, most of the world is unhabitable. Desperate for a way to save everyone, a scholar discovered not a way to stop or reserve the Rot. But a way to build a portal to a new world. Without any real options, the survivors focused on building the portal and when it was done. It was tested, and a fertile world was waiting for them on the other side. In order to explore this world, the survivors created the Pathfinders. A group whose mission is to explore, catalog, and identify threats of this new world. So the Pathfinders are about to launch their first expedition into the new world and see what this world has to offer. For who knows what is waiting for them and what the challenges they will face.

Description
We start in the little seaside town of Maren, in the world of Avarnis. It is a character fantasy roleplay which brings together ideas from both Chinese and Western fantasy fiction.
