Alright, so one of the two biggest titans are up against each other. I won't pass up the opportunity to review both of them. I don't think I have much of a strong preference in terms of the formatting and I don't think the formatting should be the focus. I'd say both fit their aesthetic. In Le Patron's factbook, the usage of color, font size and overall imagery pumps my blood. It significantly aids the delivery of the content quite well and matches the futuristic tone perfectly. On the opposite side in Miroslavsky's factbook, there's much calmer style being used. A sort of Noir style that eases my mind as I read it. There's seemingly no rush. Just me accompanied by the words that detail Miroslavsky's journey in life.

Now onto the two and how I think of them as characters. Starting with Konrad, the man comes off as a character both on the fringe of sanity and politics. Always on his toes in an unforgiving era, Konrad comes off as a personification of chaos and his own force of nature, always finding a place in society, no matter which corner of the Earth he's thrown into, whether it be due to circumstances or choice. He finds himself breaking bed with people from all, particularly unorthodox, walks of life. Bohemians, criminals, eccentrics. If you can give him the time of day, he'll sit with you. If your typical revolutionary was the type to pull back the curtains of the world to lay bare its ills, Konrad would merrily burn it all to the ground, perhaps not out of spite but in the hopes that, just like the aftermath of a forest fire, his actions could renew the world and form a ripe ground for his own view of society to form. That's what you'd think as a follower of Konrad, thinking that he's the new David of the world. However, Le Patron clearly comes off as a man bathing in his own delusion and insanity. He wants to fit hundreds of years of history into an abnormally short time, with him being the catalyst for that kind of progression. Logically, no civilization would survive that kind of information overload but but survival isn't the goal. Maybe my man just wants to have the greatest high known to any human.

Moving onto Miroslavsky, reading his content is like reading the magnification of his detailed psyche and behavior throughout his life. You see a man whose born and bred to become an officer but his actions and events in his life both break and build up Miroslavsky's mind, transforming him from the little kitten that he was in the military academy to the lion that he's currently depicted as but there's great depth beneath the surface offered. There's much more to Miroslavsky underneath the surface. I interpret Miroslavsky's life as a warning to the path of becoming a strongman but not only that, it's a tragic telling of a man getting used to being carried by the tumultuous waves of fate. One can ask, when did Miroslavsky stop wondering whether he'll achieve his dreams or not and when he started wondering how cruel fate would be to him? Miroslavsky is built and broken by many colorful individuals throughout his life, either taking a toll on his mental psyche or being the foundation that keeps his luster for life afloat. Miroslavsky is a much more depressive tale to follow. It's a tale of an ambitious statesmen, maneuvering the tides of civil war while dealing with the chaos and unpredictability of humanity in the form of his relationships with others, particularly his better half and significant other, Feodora. I feel that Miroslavsky's life touches upon the concepts of mortality, hopelessness and struggle, particularly in relation to his surrounding environment as well as with himself. Miroslavsky is a powerful man but life always throws opportunities at Miroslavsky that serve as a somber reminder of his mortality and the mortality of others, slowly degrading his idealism and his luster for life as times slowly goes on.

Anyways, I hope I explained my own interpretations of each character well enough and gave them the justice they deserve. I think they're some of THE best written characters I've ever come across on NS and I see them as grand inspirations for myself whenever I want to write a character. Now as for my choice, it's very difficult but I think it comes down to personal preference and relatability, I personally picked Miroslavsky but I could've just as easily picked Konrad so it's certainly a difficult choice between the two. Miroslavsky feels more human to me and I guess that's what moved me more towards him.

It's just a bit unlucky on my part that my factbook would be going up on the same day that this happened. As a temporary fix, if you switch to the Light or Century Dark themes, the factbook will appear as it should.

No need to be. This round is a complete walkover and I admit it- I voted for you the second I saw the poll was open, and I rarely vote in the competition at all. I'm perfectly fine with admitting that Ari's factbook is far from my best work and desperately in need of an overhaul I'm not yet willing to give it.
