The General Assembly,
Believing that false advertisement is a harmful ploy by businesses to fool individuals into buying their products;
Disappointed that this tactic costs large amounts to manipulated customers;
Realizing the need for regulations to prevent this predatory business practice.
Hereby defines “false advertisement” as: blatantly false statements made by a company to promote their product or service
Creates the World Assembly Advertising Standards Board, (W.A.A.S.B) who's primary functions will be to:
i. Create and “advertisement standard document” which all companies in member states must conform to
ii. Review all advertisements created by companies in member states
iii. Decide whether all claims made in the advertisements are true
iv. Approve advertisements for use on the public
Mandates that companies in member states:
i. Make honest advertisements
ii. Be able to prove to the World Assembly Advertising Standards Board any claims made in their advertisement
Forces companies to pay full compensation for damages deemed to be because of a false idea of the product based on the advertisement for it by the W.A.A.S.B
Allows member states governments to sue companies for violating the W.A.A.S.B rulings
