IC: South Acren, a Germanic nation focused on Military might, had just finished their conquest of what once was France. It easily took the unoccupied land without any resistance. Now they began to settle in it. The increase in population had forced their hand into expanding borders, regardless of what the rest of the world thought. Of course this decision was mainly made by the military, who pressured the Kaiser to authorizing the Operation, and it didnt take long for protests to spring up around the world. These were mainly ignored, and South Acren continued its colonization.

Polynesia gets a chance to rule itself, as a sovereign, unified entity for the first time in history!

This is the national flag of South Polynesia. (Since our wondrous nation hasn't had a chance to unify all of Polynesia, this is what we are simply referred to as) The blue represents our fine oceans, the white waves for the ferocity of the Pacific's ocean currents. The red represents the blood our people gave before freedom, and the centrepiece, the orange sun is a representation of our honour, and our future prosperity.

A short history
Our ancestors had explored this fine ocean, what the outsiders call 'The Pacific',
but what we would simply call 'Vasa Tele', meaning Great Ocean for over a millennia, in finely crafted longboats,
of which the world at the time would've looked on in awe. Almost the entirety of the the largest ocean of planet
Earth was explored by these long gone ancestors, with an exception to the far northern reaches. From Rapa Noi
(Easter Island) to Aotearoa (New Zealand), to as far north as Hawaii.
Unfortunately, the fortunes were not to last. The European oppressors carved up our homes for the sake of Empire,
we had no power within our own lands any longer. The First World War came and went. Many New Zealanders died
on the beaches of Gallipoli, including our native Maori people. Hawaii was annexed by the United States,
unjustifiably. There are many more travesties that we could list, but as a short overview, we are not going to here.

The Second World War brought an end to our oppression. The Empires that once was couldn't take the brutality of
the fighting, they miraculously collapsed, every single one of them. The Polynesian islands, for the first time in
centuries became free of colonial rule. In the south, we rose out of the ashes, the Union of Polynesia. The modern
world taught us plenty, and we knew that to survive was to be united. It is unfortunate that the northern Islands
didn't see this in the same way as us in the South, but we are sure that in time, they will see the error of their
ways, and join us, to complete true Polynesian unity.

Overview
Polynesia, or how we unfortunately have to be internationally recognised as, the Union of South Polynesia
comprises of many different islands, laying mostly south of the Line Islands. Aotearoa comprises of the two
largest islands, simply referred to as the northern and southern islands. On these islands are three main
settlements, namely Tāmaki (It's old name being Auckland) and Te Whanganui a Tara (Or Wellington) on
the northern isle, and Ōtautahi (It's old name is Christchurch) on the Southern island. Though these
three cities are the biggest of our nation, it is Nuku'alofa, on the island of Tonga that serves as our national
capital, being the island where our great, great Polynesian ancestors originally come from. Port Vila is
the main settlement on the Vanuatu island chain. There is Narau, and the Elice and Caroline Island chain,
of which the town called South Tarawa is the biggest settlement on these islands. Pape'ete is the largest
town on the old name for the islands collectively known as French Polynesia, and another possession of
the late French Empire, New Caledonia names Noumea as their largest settlement. Far to the west, or
put in other ways, to the east of the old Chilean nation is Rapa Noi, or it's old, foreign name Easter
Island. Adamstown is by far the smallest settlement, located on one of the Pitcairn Islands, with only
a measly 58 people living on it. This holds the record for the furthest Human settlement away from
any other areas of civilisation, and is currently extremely hard to get to, though there are plans to
make it more accessible.

Our government is... Interesting. In the middle of the Japanese - American conflict of WW2, before
it completely broke down, the government takes inspiration from both old world governments. We
classify as a Semi - Constitutional monarchy, where the Chieftain/Chieftess (You, as a foreigner may
understand his/her position a little better if we called them a President) can be allowed to run the
day to day politics, and deliver minor reforms, but major laws, international policy and overall the
power to completely override the Chieftain/Chieftess if needed, the Emperor/Empress holds the
true power over the country. Honour is a huge part of Polynesian culture, never again shall we
be put against the boot of a foreign power. We lead the world in renewable energies, with huge
wind offshore farms, hydroelectric power where possible and the occasional solar farm are
commonplace within our proud nation.

Westward Development

In domestic news of our great, Polynesian nation, Makani, Emperor of all Polynesia has announced his disappointment of the state of our nation west of the Tahitian Islands. This is understandable, west of these islands, not 10,000 people live within the borders of our nation, though many, many more miles to Rapa Noi from the old French Polynesia is present. In light of this news, in cooperation with the Emperor, Malie Lea'ai, our Gracious chieftess has outlined a plan to improve the states of these far western islands.

The worst of this disappointing population count is the Pitcairn Islands, where around 50 to 60 people only currently live. An empty island, a couple of miles from the tiny settlement known as Adamstown shall be converted to a grand, national port. Though the island in question is small, the submerged mountain underneath it offers support for offshore structure building, should the need arise for such port to become bigger than the surface area of the island. This should hopefully encourage continued, and a hugely increased immigration to Adamstown. It will expand to become a flourishing settlement, encompassing the entire island of which it calls home.
(This is in no way a military move to allow the navy to better cover the Vasa Tele ocean waters, it is purely to help the secluded people of Adamstown.)

A similar move will be given the green light for Rapa Noi (3,510 km from the old Chilean mainland). This will prove to be much easier, though it is further away, because of a much larger population of over 8,000 people. Still, as an island of national pride, the furthest west our distant Polynesian ancestors managed to travel, it deserves the same treatment that Adamstown will get, and so it will. The western islands of our nation need to be improved for the prosperity of everyone, from Ōtautahi to Rapa Noi.]

The Confederate government formally offers an alliance to the great Democratic Federal Republic of Massachusetts. The terms of the alliance shall be written under the Treaty of Boston and are as follows:
1.The Confeoderationis Republica Stephaniesland and the Democratic Federal Republic pledge to defend each other from hostile invasions.
2.There shall be a free trade agreement (FTA) established between the two nations, removing all tariffs between the two nations.
3.Both nations shall regard the regulations of the other nation as equivalent to their own on all products.
4.Qualifications granted in one nation shall be admissible in the other nation.
5.Both nations shall agree to have a joint military training program known as the Dixie-Masstonian Joint Training Initiative.
6.An agreement shall be made that neither nation shall claim land on the other's side of the Mason-Dixon Line.

The treaty has been signed by Supreme Director Stephanie Claire Cordato and Chancellor Julius Vestus.

They have been given orders to report back anything they see and to find land suitable for the establishment of a long term outpost.

IC: It seems that South Polynesia has gotten a message from a nation of which we haven't discovered yet. It seems that we'll have to keep this in mind, and send out exploration teams to track the origin point when we can.
Though, we are currently too busy with our Western Islands development project to respond to anything yet, for now we'll have this written down, and put into a file for review at a later date.

The group of explorers led by Dr Neill Grylls have made it to the old Bahaman city of Nassau. The city is empty and deserted. Any life that may have once inhabited the city has been long gone. As the team explores the city, they find broken down vehicles and decaying buildings everywhere they look. But no bodies. No animals. Not even carrion. There were no sounds beyond the howling of the wind. What could have happened here? Who knows? But Dr Grylls seems determined to find out. The team quickly set up camp in the old capital building, readying to set out into the wilds the next day.

Due to some protests by this action, Stormtruppen Military Police are deployed in order to prevent any violent rioting over this controversial act.
