This thread is an out-of-character planning hub for the Western Isles Gala. Gatherings in the International District is a great way to interact with other countries IC within a specific duration and help boost regional engagement. Posts here can include invitations, names of delegates and characterizations, locations, topics, etc. IC posts for the Western Isles Gala shall be posted in the International District IC thread.

This thread is open for anyone who wants to plan a gala or gathering in the International District as long as there is not one currently being held. Notify the Secretary of Role-play if you wish to plan one yourself.

This thread is for TWI members only. That means you must be included in the map before you can join.

This is not an International District OOC. This thread is solely for the planning of present and future Western Isles Galas.

Rules:
1. Standard TWI rules apply, along with all EOs regarding the International District.
2. Standard role-playing rules apply. No god-modding and no hearing everything in the room.
3. No bringing of weapons. No violence. No terror attacks.
4. No deaths during the gatherings (as much as possible unless planned otherwise).
5. Characters over 18 only.
6. Participating in the gala is advised and encouraged.
7. TWI members only. Any nations barred from the League and the International District, either from a resolution or IC canon, can only attend under special invitation.
8. Try to keep the Gala professional and proper. While a bit of fun is encouraged, please do not go overboard.
9. Stromboli will not be served.

Guidelines:

Planner(s) of the Gala must provide information on where and when the Gala will take place, who are the sponsors, and other information related to the Gala. Participants must provide information about their character and what they aim to achieve in the Gala. Please notify this thread first before hopping into the Gala to ensure that there is proper role-play and characterization taken into account. Characterization can include the name of the attendee, their age, their position, etc.

Crown Prince Victor and Princess Edyth of Wellsia will be attending.

[Almorea]

Deputy President Soodalter and her husband will be attending.

[Reathwood]

With much of the higher executive government occupied in attendance of a three-day festival of poetry in Wathbourne, Foreign Minister Cadwall Wessom will be in attendance with his wife Tova. Minister Wessom, 42, has served as Foreign Minister for the full length of the Elvewer administration and was a deputy minister of its predecessor's foreign ministry. He has received praise from the Reathwood diplomatic corps for his unwavering calm and rational decision-making, even if he—unfortunately for a prominent international representative—can be slow to compromise.

[Solaryia]

With no major events occuring in Solaryia at the moment, Consul Conti Bellarys and the Marshall of Foreign Affairs Jan Richter will be attending the Gala.

[Hospitaller West Indies]

Governor Thomas de Bonpar, along with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chief Diplomat Maximilien Every will be attending the Gala, exception being if there's an urgent matter that needs to be addressed that day that would make it impossible to attend. Our nation hopes to improve relations with other countries, as well as make potential trade deals, and if not then just to enjoy the Gala.

[Westmoor Isles]

Lieutenant Representative and newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs Lee Nguyen, as well as General Finn Ryan of the Westmoorish Army will be in attendance on behalf of Westmoor. Minister Nguyen, 62, hopes to touch base with other foreign representatives as his first action as the new Minister of Foreign Affairs. General Ryan, 50, plans on supporting Nguyen's efforts by representing the honorable officers of Westmoor's Armed Forces.

[Ainslie]

Ambassador-General Callum Parkes will be there with Aaron Gerslin, the Ahnslen Foreign Minister.

[Dormill and Stiura]

President Cedar Dyson, his girlfriend Sylvia Vilar, Ambassador to the League Roger Van Adrichem, and Merritt Simonis, Director of the Office of North Mesder and Raedlon Relations of the United Republics Foreign Ministry, shall attend on the behalf of Dormill and Stiura. Other Doraltic invitees to include a member of Vilar's family, Van Adrichem's family, and Simonis' family. Overall, Dormill and Stiura's presence will be to touch base with representatives of the mentioned region to expand on Doraltic foreign policy objectives and otherwise wine-and-dine.

[Havalland]

His majesty Leon Wolf III and his brother Jacob will be in attendance, accompanied by Knight Captain Samual as a royal escort and unarmed bodyguard of the king.

[Corindia]

Secretary of Diplomacy Isidro Macías will attend.

[Hyukai]

The Royal Palace declared that King Gustaf, his wife and their 3 kids as well as Prime Minister Maximilian Akita Jr and his wife will attend the Annual Western Isles Gala in the International District. Their aides will also be attending along with secret service to protect the King and PM's families. Heavy precautions will be made on Hyukaians as a small outbreak known as Hyukaian Rash is spreading in Hyukai.

[Athara Magarat]

Due to internal pressure regarding the case of the 18 Matribhumi School girls who went missing in Roendavar and later were confirmed dead and due to the strong public opinion against the Roendavarian (and Magarati) government for how the issue was handled, no Magarati official will be arriving to the gala unfortunately.

[Biaten]

Minister of Foreign Affairs Carter Eldridge, his wife Olivia Eldridge, Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs James Skeates and Representative to the League Helen Steuben will attend on behalf of the Republic of Biaten.

[Segentova]

Segentovan Chief of State, Pierre Delacroix (will attend the gala along with his wife, the first lady of Segentova, Temperance. The Segentovan minister of foreign affairs, Jàcome d'Orey et Avignon III. will also be attending, accompanied by his wife, Josephine. Lastly, Segentovan ambassador to the League, Hugo Poullain, and his wife Majorie will also be in attendance. Segentova's objective during the Gala will be mainly to show face and build on ties with allied or friendly nations.

Deputy-Prime-Minister Violette d'Andorra Tasse is attending, together with her husband, Louis Tasse. Marshal English, Minister for Foreign Affairs and his wife, Mary Anne English will also attend.

Her Royal Highness Victoria, Princess Royal will be in attendance representing the Realm of Serpens Land.

His Royal Highness Arine will be attending with a small entourage. It'll be his first trip abroad without being accompanied by another royal.
