1. Does your nation have nuclear weapons? Yes
a) How and when did your nation acquire nuclear weapons? 2649, once the Second Immortal had given approval to the development of a nuclear weapons program.
b) How large is your nation's nuclear arsenal? 16,000 "planet-breakers", and over 500,000 in "light armament" to be used in space battles.
c) Has your nation ever detonated a nuclear weapon in war? Yes, many times. A Namisian is trained to know that civilians who do not join our cause are to be considered enemy combatants.
d) Has your nation made any commitments to limit or reduce its nuclear arsenal? Absolutely not. Earth threatens intervention if we don't stop, but we would like to see them try.
2. Does your nation use nuclear energy? Yes.
a) How much of your energy supply comes from nuclear sources? Nearly 100%. The little resources available on Namisia for any other kinds of power production is very limited.
b) Have there ever been any accidents at a nuclear power plant in your country? Officially, [REDACTED]. Unofficially, many times. Pretty much happens once every few years on average.
c) How does your nation deal with the issue of nuclear waste? It is dumped into a nearby gas giant within Namisia's solar system.
What happens when people are put through a history of suffering and insanity? Probably totalitarian dictatorship, like the planet of Namisia.
We're literally the bad guys, we know. This nation and Pycos take place in the same universe.

And I hope I don't need to seriously say this, but OOC views are very different from IC politics.

1. Does your nation have nuclear weapons? Yes. Despite the strong resentment towards technology, The Overseers have condoned the development of weapons of mass destruction to deter foreign powers from toppling their horrific regime.
a) How and when did your nation acquire nuclear weapons? The democratic republic which preceded to current totalitarian theocracy had an extensive nuclear mining program as it relied heavily on nuclear power(though it condemned WMDs). Upon conquering the nation in the civil war, the Federation used slave laborers to extract as much resources from the nuclear deposits to develop a vast arsenal of nuclear weapons in secret. The first warheads were complete by 1 ACR(aka 2043 for those outside of the secretive shadow state).
b) How large is your nation's nuclear arsenal? It is unknown by the rest of the world, but is believed to be anywhere between 400 and 6,000. Likely closer to the latter.
c) Has your nation ever detonated a nuclear weapon in war? No.
d) Has your nation made any commitments to limit or reduce its nuclear arsenal? Nope. The opposite is true considering the efforts to expand the arsenal. Some speculate The Overseers may, as a last ditch effort to ‘destroy modern degeneracy’, nuke every world power to regress the planet back thousands of years.

2. Does your nation use nuclear energy? No. All nuclear resources have been allocated towards expanding weapons of mass destruction.
a) How much of your energy supply comes from nuclear sources? N/A
b) Have there ever been any accidents at a nuclear power plant in your country? N/A
c) How does your nation deal with the issue of nuclear waste? N/A

The Tilminese Federation is a totalitarian fascist theocracy ruled with an iron fist by The Overseers, a fanatical organization of theocratic fundamentalists seeking to eradicate ‘modern degeneracy’. Has scenic architecture, no light pollution, quiet streets and public executions for the smallest crimes. Oh and one in every four Tilminese has died from starvation, disease, execution, forced labor, and genocide ever since the Overseers have taken power but that’s not too important.

a) How and when did your nation acquire nuclear weapons? N/A
b) How large is your nation's nuclear arsenal? N/A
c) Has your nation ever detonated a nuclear weapon in war? N/A
d) Has your nation made any commitments to limit or reduce its nuclear arsenal? N/A
2. Does your nation use nuclear energy? Yes.
a) How much of your energy supply comes from nuclear sources? 15.3%
b) Have there ever been any accidents at a nuclear power plant in your country? Yes. There have been several incidents and accidents as a result of earthquakes. Only two incidents were a result of operator error. Three incident sites are still in the process of being cleaned up - most other sites resulted in minimal or no release of radiation and/or were quickly cleaned up.
c) How does your nation deal with the issue of nuclear waste? (needs to be determined, I do not know enough about radiaoctive waste disposal)

Incoming transmission from the Diplomatic Ministry of the Republic of Lave.

1. Does your nation have nuclear weapons? The Republic of Lave does possess nuclear weaponry as a means of deterrence, defence, and as a first strike option against opposing forces that threaten the stability and safety of the Republic of Lave. Nuclear warheads are used in engagements in space as a means of destroying large warships, and used on the ground as a means of targeting infrastructure and disabling critical production facilities to siege the planet and achieve victory for the Republic. Despite this, the Republic of Lave has no intention to utilise nuclear weapons against any state, due to the large scale damages such weapons can cause to planetary environments and people, and the centuries long rebuilding efforts that must be pursued in the aftermath of their use.

- A) How and when did your nation acquire nuclear weapons? The first nuclear weapons on Earth were developed in the mid-20th century, during a primitive industrial war referred to as 'World War II', that took place between 1939 and 1945. This war saw the development of more modern methods of aerospace travel, along with primitive chemical fuel pre-spacecraft that would develop into full spacecraft by the end of the 1950s. Following the 3rd World War that lasted from 2044 to 2055, nuclear weapons stocks were depleted, and the United States of America prevented further proliferation of the weapon. However, the weapon would come to be used by the Federation against the Empire of Achenar by the 2300s, and nuclear weapons were proliferated through Federal and Imperial worlds as to defend them from attack from either side. The Republic of Lave inherited a small nuclear stock in 2483 when it achieved independence from the Federation, and during the Old Worlds Coalition and the Galactic Cooperative that followed, nuclear weapon stocks would swell to large numbers. After the fall of GalCop in 3174, the means to deploy the larger and more dangerous nuclear weapons outside of Lave itself (up to 100mt yields) was lost, as capital ships became museum pieces in other former GalCop starsystems or were scrapped, such as in Lave. Lave's present nuclear arsenal is still large, and small nuclear missiles (<1mt) are routinely in use by Lave Fleet ships during engagements in space or for small scale planetary bombardments.

- B) How large is your nation's nuclear arsenal? Exceedingly large, and small nuclear weapons are still in mass production, ensuring that their true numbers are always in the millions. As for the larger nuclear weapons, Lave possesses around 100,000 in storage for use from planetary facilities or other nuclear weapon deployment facilities. The Republic of Lave only provides this information for the benefit of the GalNet system and Universal Cartographics, and will not provide information pertaining to production facilities or production methods involved in producing nuclear weapons, not will it provide information on planetary storage facilities.

- C) Has your nation ever detonated a nuclear weapon in war? The Republic of Lave has detonated innumerable nuclear weapons across history, especially during large conflicts in which the Republic has been forced to utilise them in order to destroy far more powerful fleets, such as during the 2498-2530 war against the Empire. Nuclear weapons were also utilised in [REDACTED] during the 3125-3151 incident to little effect.

- D) Has your nation made any commitments to limit or reduce its nuclear arsenal? No, and the continued defence of the Republic of Lave depends upon not reducing the current nuclear arsenal to appease Federal and Imperial would-be conquerors.

2. Does your nation use nuclear energy? Yes, the Republic of Lave primarily utilises nuclear fusion as a means of producing energy, although nuclear fission is also used in the production of energy for smaller scale operations, such as powering industrial plants owned by large business conglomerates such as Lave Industrial Company.

- A) How much of your energy supply comes from nuclear sources? The government of the Republic of Lave estimates that around 80% of power production on Lave is done through nuclear fusion reactors, while around 13% is done through nuclear fission to a total of 93% of total power production being from nuclear sources. The remaining 7% of production is typically done through means of solar and wind power, although fossil fuels are still used in some places (usually smaller villages utilising a grid of fossil fuel powered generators to power their villages).

- B) Have there ever been any accidents at a nuclear power plant in your country? Nuclear fusion power plants are impossible to melt-down, with only the hydrogen fuel being explosive and consequently stored incredibly safely in strong fuel storage tanks. Nuclear fusion plants cannot sustain themselves through chain reactions like nuclear fission plants, and consequently once the magnetic fields that allow hydrogen to fuse are shut down, the reaction is not self-sustaining and it stops, safely ensuring that the reactor cannot 'explode' like in popular culture and film. Nuclear fission plants are typically also safe, never being large enough to produce unstoppable chain reactions without being swiftly cooled by efficient cooling rods that can prevent runaway nuclear fission chain reactions. Nevertheless, there is still the risk of faulty fission reactors melting down, but such an incident has not yet happened and current safety measures ensure it will not happen. Some nuclear fusion plants in the country have been running for nearly 800 years with continuous maintenance and upgrades, meaning they are completely safe and cannot possibly harm the public of the Republic of Lave.

- C) How does your nation deal with the issue of nuclear waste? Nuclear fusion produces no dangerous waste products with the exception of tritium, which will be recycled by the reactor and which only has a half life of around 12.3 years, making it hardly a threat for the Human population. Other waste that nuclear fusion produces includes inert helium gas through the process of fusion, which is not dangerous and consequently is not a harmful waste product like those produced through the means of nuclear fission. Fission waste is typically buried in protected waste storage sites across the planet, before being extracted and launched into space by heavily protected spacecraft for proper disposal, dumping into the sun.

1. Does your nation have nuclear weapons? No, but we're working on it.
a) How and when did your nation acquire nuclear weapons? The feasibility of atomic fission weapons is currently being investigated, with the first actual bomb tests in the final preparation stages.
b) How large is your nation's nuclear arsenal? 4 test devices for various bomb configurations, currently non-functional as the fissile components have not been installed.
c) Has your nation ever detonated a nuclear weapon in war? No, but the concept intrigues us.
d) Has your nation made any commitments to limit or reduce its nuclear arsenal? No, because nobody else knows we're considering building any in the first place. (At least, we hope they don't know.)
2. Does your nation use nuclear energy? No, but that is another possibility being considered. Controlled fission reactions have been achieved under laboratory conditions, but most of our nuclear program is focused on weapons at the moment.
a) How much of your energy supply comes from nuclear sources? 0% or thereabouts; the first laboratory reactors produced about a watt of power between them, but this energy output was not actually harvested and was allowed to dissipate.
b) Have there ever been any accidents at a nuclear power plant in your country? No, because they exist only on paper and as wooden mockups at the moment.
c) How does your nation deal with the issue of nuclear waste? Waste reuse and recycling methods are of great concern for both environmental and efficiency reasons; if fissile material is still releasing energy after it's been "spent", then it hasn't really been spent, has it?

All game-generated statistics and policies will be summarily ignored in favor of a good story.

1. Does your nation have nuclear weapons? No

2. Does your nation use nuclear energy? Yes, there are three nuclear plants in the nation, two are operational, one is experimental. The main purpose of the operational plant near Ninnu is producing isotopes for medical and scientific applications, but it does also provide energy.
a) How much of your energy supply comes from nuclear sources? as yet, less than 1%
b) Have there ever been any accidents at a nuclear power plant in your country? There have been two incidents where radioactive material was exposed to air in a non-isolated zone. The list looks longer than that, though, because transparancy for nuclear plants is total, resulting in even stuck elevators, clogged toilets, and sprained ankles being reported as "accidents".
