Whitelaw Palace

The President of the Democratic States of Toin and her family live at Whitelaw Palace. The address is 727 Constitution Boulevard NW, Whitelaw, WC. The Vice President and his family live at № 1 Government Place. Neither the Presidency or the Vice Presidency maintain any resort or retreat like Camp David in the United States, which creates interesting security problems when either family is vacationing. Certain staffers and Cabinet secretaries have the option of living in a higher security building due to the sensitive nature of their positions. The Chief of Staff of the President and the Secretary of Defence take up on this offer most often, and may occasionally be forced too live there temporarily, but Secretaries of State have also lived in such an area. The Speaker of the House, the Chairman of the Council, as well as their MPs and Councillors, live in the districts in which they represent as required by the Constitution. MPs and Councillors may maintain a private residence in Whitelaw for the duration of their stay during the legislative session. Justices of the Supreme Court maintain their own private residences, but all live in Whitelaw Capital Territory.

On the state level, states provide their Governors and occasionally Lieutenant Governors an official residence for the duration of their term in office. Territories do not provide their Governors an official residence but are required to live within the capital city of the territory. Legislative Assembly members, like the House and the Council, are required to live in the districts in which they represent. Larger states allow their MLAs to maintain a private residence in their capital city during the legislative session, but others are small enough to not allow this.

Municipalities, with the unique exception of Anchorton, which often as both a city and a state, do not provide their Mayors or any other municipal employee or city council member any official residence. Additionally, any government official not already stated to live in an official residence maintains their own private residence.

Before Whitelaw Palace and № 1 Government Place was built in the 1920s and 1930s, their tenants often used their own private residence or purchased a vacant building to use as their official residence and used their own private residence as a retreat from the public life or stresses of politics. The same was often true of Governors and their Lieutenants.

Katas doesn't really do the whole "the president gets their own building to live in" thing, they live in their own personal residence (also, the president isn't really a "leader" as their job mostly consists of representing Katas on the world stage, they have no real power regarding how the nation itself operates)

Technically the presidential office does have the capability for the president (and their family) to live there, but the amenities are basic and is intended for cases where working overnight is necessary

Her Majesty, Élisabeth IV, Empress of Aikoland lives in the Palais d'Allais, located about 8 km to the east of Ville d'Aiko (our capital city). The Palais d'Allais has served as the official royal residence since the mid-17th century.

Her Excellency, Prime Minister Mélodie Bélanger, lives in the Prime Minister's Office, located in the centre of Ville d'Aiko. The Prime Minister's Office was originally constructed in the early 18th century and served as the residence for the monarch's personal envoy to the capital and has been used as the Prime Minister's residence since the Office of Prime Minister was established in 1837.

King Alexander lives in the Royal Palace. The Royal Place is a large, modern building, only feet away from the beach. The first floor contains the Senate "chamber" (more like a conference room, as there are only 30 Senators) and Senate offices. The second floor has the Cabinet offices and a Cabinet meeting room. The third floor is the headquarters of the King's Royal Guard and the Military. The fourth floor is the King's offices, and his residence is on the Fifth floor. In the basement and on the beach immediately behind the Palace are recreation areas, where officials can eat, congregate, and have fun when they're not working. Although Coconut Palm Island has a reputation for having a very transparent government, press are never allowed in the building except for on Friday afternoons, where select journalists get a Q&A session (that often devolves into a fierce-but-civil debate between various officials) with the King and select members of the Senate and Cabinet (from various political parties). All other press events are held outdoors.

The Royal Palace has a great deal of history, and many quirks. Because of the risk of having so many high-level officials in the Royal Palace, the Chief Justice of the High Court (who is behind only the Senate President in the line of succession should the Monarch die, be incapacitated, or be removed for corruption) is never allowed within a mile of the Royal Palace, unless the Senate President is out of town. It also contains a bunker large enough to sustain the King, Cabinet, Senate, Royal Guard police leadership, and military command for up to a year (the King is paranoid about disaster preparedness). Although the Palace itself is heavily restricted, the King's Beach is frequently the site of the Nation's biggest and wildest parties (pre-pandemic, at least), including New Year's Eve, Election Night (an all-night party after our annual Election Day as the polls close and election results are announced), and Democracy Day (the day when the new Senate sits for the first time each year).

The Executive Director lives in the Tower of Pycos, a tall building in the center of Pycos City dedicated to the administrative tasks of the Pycosian government. The Executive Director and their family live on the top floor, Floor 104, a large penthouse apartment that overlooks Pycos City, only dwarfed in height by the Network Server Tower and the Great Lighthouse.

Named after Riley Delaney Jones, the woman responsible for the first large-scale rebellion that led to Saint Arsenio's freedom, Delaney Palace is the official residence of the Saint Arsenian Royal Family and the workplace of the Monarch, and has been since its construction in 1534. It remains one of the oldest buildings still in-use in Saint Arsenio.

It's a uncommon style of architecture in Drusoria, with critics saying it will 'ruin' the local landscape of the area. Belles was designed by a renowned architect, who has a portfolio of Arabic palaces, the design was encouraged by the government to make Drusoria more open and 'international'.

The Chief Executive Counselor along with family and designated personnel live in a series of fortified earthhomes across the Eco-Commune. They've come to be known as the Silverroots. Based on a combination of ecological design and sustainable architecture, it provides fairly modest if well-maintained and spacious living conditions though fortified for security reasons. Rumor believes all the Silverroots are connected through an underground mag-lev line. They also have hidden sectors for aircraft transporation if need be.

Penrose Palace, the continuous home of the Prince of Daethiel for the past eight centuries (though it has changed a lot in that time), is the current royal residence.

The Emerald Palace,it was originally build by the Imperial Front when Novia Xeneia was a Monarchy in the 15th Century.From then to now it has been the residence of every leader in Novia Xeneia history.

The Doges of Montevento live and do most of their work at the Palazzo Ducale in San Giovanni, Costa Grande. The Palazzo Ducale (english: Ducal Palace) was built as a holiday home for the Grand Dukes of Tuscany by orders of Francesco II Stefano, with its construction starting in 1738 and ending in 1762. It was designed by the architect Vincenzo Sinatra, inspired by the French palaces of the seventeenth century. Despite its original purpose, it was inhabited only by the Duke Pietro Leopoldo I for just one week in 1793 and by Lodovico II of Etruria for 3 days in 1805, before becoming the official residence of the Monteventani Doges after the country got its independence in 1831.

However, most Doges do not actually live in the Palazzo Ducale permanently, and just use it as their office, choosing instead to live in their personal private residences, which are just reinforced with extra security measures by the Monteventani Republic to ensure the safety of the Doge and its family.

The Doges also have a holiday residence, which they usually use to spend their holidays or to receive foreign leaders and diplomats. This building is referred to as the Casarese Villa, and is located inside a park of 1,369 hectares with the same name in the Province of Fiume D'Oro, 212 kilometers from San Giovanni. The park contains more than 200 species of trees from all around the world. The Casarese mansion, built in 1911, combines the Norman and Tudor styles and has been used by all Doges from said date.

The Sovereign of the North Sea Federation used to live in the old President's Residence, but with the monarchy came demands for a new palace. The Queen lives in a newly constructed palace on a fjord, and the area surrounding it is guarded heavily to prevent any such things like assassination attempts and the like. Following the Queen's move to the new location, the old President's Residence was turned into the Republican Museum, dedicated to the history of the nation from 1947-2017, and it famously contains many valuable artefacts from the Popular Revolution of 1947, most notably the gun of Eoghann Bruithainn, the leader of the Revolution and the first president of the modern republican era.

The official residence of the monarch of the Kingdom of Crookfur is McRiderch castle in the capitol city of Kirkhill.

McRiderch Castle is more commonly known simply as the Octopus due to the 8 wings/galleries that link the central "King's Keep" to the 8 great towers of the main curtain wall. The castle is situated on McRiderch Hill, the most northerly and isolated of the five tallest peaks that ring Kirkhill (collectively known as the five sisters).

This site has been the location of some form of fortification since the 8th century and the main castle including the curtain wall was completed in approximately 1230. Since then the defences and amenities have been gradually extended and modernised with most of the expansion moving down the Western approach to the castle. In the 1750s the actual Royal suites were moved from the King's Keep (which is still used for formal and ceremonial events to this day) to the newly built and more comfortable Lower House. Jokingly referred to as the Royal cottage, the Lower House sits in the former Royal garden just below the main curtain wall and inside the more modern "cannon proof" fortifications.
