Countesian Settlement Zone
Farmans Bay Colony
Population: 3,500
The small Countesian fleet let out a blare of their horns as they approached the colony. The garrison had been ordered to temporarily cease the lockdown and allow the colonists to take to the streets and docks to greet the arriving soldiers. The colonists, who had spend nearly two weeks kept in their homes to keep them safe from the risk of native attack, flocked to greet the soldiers who had begun to march down the central street and to their camp which lay just outside the settlement. The colonists showered them with cheers and praise.
As most of the troops began to settle in and raise fortifications around their camp and the colony itself, a group numbering a hundred strong broke off from the main preparations and met up with another group of several hundred colonist engineers who had located a suitable tract of land for the proposed airfield. Using the machinery originally brought over to pave the roads of Farmans Bay, soldier and engineers alike began to lay down what was the start of a eight hundred meter runway capable of landing small to medium sized jets. The finished airfield would eventually be turned over for civilian use, but at the moment was planned to ferry supplies to the small army that had been sent to secure the colony as resupply by boat was now considered to be too lengthy of a process.
Alec Murtry, who had been overseeing this operation finally decided to contact his superior. He felt that he had the right to know a military buildup was taking place, even if he wouldn't approve.

Jacob Tanner read his security chiefs message along with his accompanying photos with great annoyance. Had he known this would happen, he wouldn't have left the man acting director. If natives caught wind of the military build-up, things could go sour. He had only hoped the tribal leaders would approve his offer of autonomy. If not, he stood directly in the warpath of their forces. Although the soldiers from the eastern expedition had returned to New Hanlen and made camp directly opposite the natives, his small force of of a thousand was no match for their numbers should violence break out. He hoped this would not be the case.

A scout ran off to tell of the events occured.
The chiefs at the point of accepting the agreement, were in uproar. They disarmed the 1,000 soldiers and angrily confronted the governor

"I have been northing but candid with you, so believe me when i say that the arrival of troops was not done at my order. My subordinate and commander of the garrison went behind my back likely out of fear of violence" Jacob pleaded to the angry chiefs "But it does not have to be that way"

We abhor the actions they are taking, but seeing as they have shown they are willing to use nuclear weaponry, we'd like to hide our involvement."

They Lacienian colony had grown quite a bit. It resembled an actual town now. There were multistory buildings, paved roads, water pipes, and even a small airfield. Despite all this growth, there had still been no contact from the Natives. It is. beginning to be thought that Nadteima has no Natives and is opener the taking.
