37th Annual PAMPAS Academy Award (Second Phase Voting Open)

PAMPAS Academy Award or Anugerah Akademi Sinema Pemecutan, popularly known as Pemecutan Academy Award are awarding ceremony for recognition of excellence in Pemecutan cinematic industry. The award is given annually by Pemecutan Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Science (PAMPAS). The winners are presented a copy of golden statuette called Mandala Statue. This year, the award is entering its 37th edition. And for the first time, the voting will also be open for international voters.

Detail Process

Firstly, we will post all the eligible movies (including documentary and short film) that entering this edition ceremony. Then we will opening up the voting process which will be divided into 2 phases. The first phase will be held for around 2 weeks, to select the nominee for each categories. The nominees are selected from the most voted entry. A minimum of 3 and maximum of 5 nominees will be selected. The second phase will also be held for around 2 weeks, which will select the winner of each categories which will be given to the most voted nominee. The live ceremony will be held at the end of the voting process. For international interest, we also open submission for foreign films which will be given its own category. This will be the first of such category to be presented in the award.

C. Plot/Synopsis
The movie follows the story of four teenager who goes on a vacation into a remote island in northern Samplestan. They took a ferry to reach the island which they feel so empty when they get there. They are follow the instruction to get into their rented lodged. Arriving there, they are greeted by a nice old women. They spent their first night quite nicely. The first day of the vacation, they are going to the beach. The beach is so empty that there are only 4 of them there. Without any suspicion they are swimming freely. Catur got an accident after her feet is getting cut by a sharp coral. She is then rushed back to the lodge. The Old Lady tend for Catur which can not move because of the accident. The other keep venturing the island after lunch. At evening, they are prevent to visit Catur by the Old Lady which says that Catur is already asleep and can't be bother again.

The three goes with their list of places when the Old Lady prevent them from visiting Catur again. Now they go to the forest for some hiking. Tri is sprain his ankle when he climb down the hill. He is rushed back to the lodge and being treated by The Old Lady. As there only two of them left, Eka and Dwi feels so bored to do their vacation for only the two of them. They are also being suspicious as they can't visit Catur again after their lunch. They decided to take some rest at the lodge pool when they see a movement in Catur's room. They try to sneak in the room from the back window. When they are successfully entering the room, they found no one there. The room is clean and the bed sheets is so smooth that seems like no one have ever slept in it. They check the closet and found no clothes of Catur. They try to search all over the lodge but found nothing. They also can't find the Old Lady. They begin to worry about Tri when they hear a scream. They rushed back to the room, Tri's room. They so shock when they open the door. They see the Old Lady is standing there in front of them holding a cut leg. While at the bed, Tri is unconscious with one of his leg missing.

Both Eka and Dwi run outside the lodge as the Old Lady is chasing them. They are hiding in the hut near the beach. They found a secret passage under the floor of the hut. Although frightened, they enter the secret passage. The passage is quite narrow and after a while, the passage is ended at a door room. They hesitantly open the door. Inside they find many strange object which refer to secret cult practice. They find an old picture of lady which they can identify as the Old Lady at the lodge. They also find articles about the lodge. Focused on their research, they are ambushed by the Old Lady. Both of them try to escape and reach the door to get out of the room. But Eka is capture by the Old Lady. Dwi is running away until she reach the forest.

Dwi is staying at the forest until the night come. She try to go back to the lodge, fearing something might have happen to her friends especially Eka. She reach the lodge and find it empty. She search for clue throughout the lodge when she find another secret passage just behind the cupboard at the lodge's lobby. She goes through the passage which she believe is the other way to the secret chamber that she discover this noon. She hear a women's voice which enchanted something. She is hiding behind the door while watching the Old Lady doing some ritual. In the bed in front of the Old Lady, Eka is laying there, half conscious, all tied up. He looks like he is trying to escape but his seems to be very weak. Dwi encourage herself. She take a wooden block and smash it toward the Old Lady head. After the Old Lady collapsed, she rescued Eka. They both are escaping from the secret chamber. On their way out, Eka is telling Dwi about the Old Lady's ritual and secret cult. She do the ritual to stay young and healthy. She is making youth potion by using several body parts from human. She use Catur's upper body and Tri's legs. She is trying to kill Eka and use his heart for the ritual. While Eka said that the Old Lady aimed for Dwi's head for the last part of her ritual.

They are reaching the pier but no boat is there. The night become so late. As they think about the solution, the Old Lady arrive and attack both of them. She manage to stab Eka at his back which makes him unable to moves. She then chasing Dwi who is still running. She take a log and throw it towards Dwi's leg which make her stumble and fall unconscious. When she opening her eyes, she find herself laying at the bed in the secret chamber. She struggle to break free but the Old Lady is coming with the remnants of Eka's body. Dwi is screaming in agony. The Old Lady is approaching her with a huge ax. She is screaming until the whole screen is turning red.

During the post credit, a young lady is seen combing her hair while seating at the veranda of the lodge. She is looking to the distance. She then suddenly smiling sweatly.

During the time of early Tegeh Kori Kingdom reign, in a remote place near the mountain, a small village is in a peaceful situation until for the past months. An obscured event shocked the villagers when in one morning they found their cattle are all dead and several people suddenly missing and found dead after a few days. The head village, I Suka Lara, asked for a protection from higher authority. One day, a young man wandering alone near the forest in the edge of the village. He is suddenly being attack by an unknown forces. A group of soldiers come to rescue the man. After rescuing the young man, the soldier leader ask the young man for the head village mansion. The young man, I Jaya Langkir, who fortunately the head village's son, takes the soldiers to his house. I Karang Damar, the soldier leader talk intensely with I Suka Lara about the village situation. Neither of them know that I Jaya Langkir ears-dropping their conversation. The mother, Ni Eka Laksmi escorted his soon for his behavior. I Jaya Langkir is immerse with the soldier leader.

During the time the soldiers are in the village, I Jaya Langkir and I Karang Damar relationship also become close. Ni Eka Laksmi notice their closeness and confront his son. I Jaya Langkir admitted that he likes the soldier's leader. His mother asked him to forget his feelings. I Jaya Langkir try to do what's his mother asked him to do. But his action makes I Karang Damar confused. During one of the soldier patrol, the soldiers are ambushed by unseen forces which injured I Karang Damar. Jaya Langkir patiently taking care of Karang Damar injury much to Eka Laksmi annoyed. She then asked his husband to arrange marriage for their son. Knowing his parents decision, Jaya Langkir run from his house. The injured Karang Damar runs to search for him. He find Jaya Langkir near the forest. Karang Damar succeed to calm him. But when they wants to back to the village, a strange mist avoid their sight. An unseen forces then attack both of them. Jaya Langkir take Karang Damar sword and defended him from the force. After much fight, they are able to runaway. But the forces still try to catch them. Both of them hide inside a temple where the forces unable to break through. Karang Damar is still in shock to know that Jaya Langkir can fight and using sword. They hide in the temple through the night.

The next morning, Jaya Langkir is stunned when he doesn't find Karang Damar. He trace his presence which lead him to the forest. Although afraid, Jaya Langkir went inside the dense forest. In the village, the situation is in chaos after both head village' son and the soldier's leader went missing. Inside the forest, Jaya Langkir see a strange phenomenon every where. But he finally relieve after seeing Karang Damar is lying above a huge rock. When he try to approach him, something block his way. The strange forces comes again but this time it surrounding Karang Damar's body. Jaya Langkir shouted for Karang Damar to gain conscious but to no avail. The forces become more and more dense until it composed into a human body. Jaya Langkir is shock to see that human personification is very similar to Karang Damar. He then confront that person. Karang Damar personification laugh helplessly. The personification says that he will kill Karang Damar and use the body as a disguise for his true identity. The personification is truly just a shadow, a spirit. It only can possessed dead body and took their identity. Afraid of losing the one he love, Jaya Langkir asked the shadow to take away his life instead.

Karang Damar come to his consciousness. He is very delighted to see Jaya Langkir is on his side. He hug him tightly. They then go back to the village much to the joy of the villagers and the rest of the soldiers. During their time together, Karang Damar rise his sword to Jaya Langkir. He says that although his face is Jaya Langkir but his attitude is not him. Jaya Langkir laugh. He told Karang Damar that Jaya Langkir has sacrifice himself for him to alive. Devastated with the news, Karang Damar fights the fake Jaya Langkir. The villagers and the soldiers are shock with the fights. Karang Damar stated that the one he faced now is not the real Jaya Langkir and says that Jaya Langkir has died. Ni Eka Laksmi loss her conscious after knowing his son's dead. Karang Damar able to push the fake Jaya Langkir into the forest when the shadow spirit comes out from Jaya Langkir body. The shadow's spirit become stronger in its true form. Karang Damar is cornered and unable to moved. The shadow spirit tell him about the time when Jaya Langkir decided to sacrifice himself. From the story, Karang Damar understand the great feeling that young man has for him. He then release his last power. Combining his blood with his sword, he summoned the fire of hell. The fire engulfed the shadow spirit. But then he realize that the Jaya Langkir's spirit is also inside the Shadow Spirit. He use his might to catch Jaya Langkir's spirit and take him out from the Shadow Spirit's body. Karang Damar is badly injured with burning all over his body. Jaya Langkir's spirit stay in his side while the Shadow Spirit has burned down. On his last breath, Karang Damar confess his feeling towards the young man.

A few times later, the villagers and soldiers come to the fighting scene. All of them feels shock and sad. I Suka Lara and Ni Eka Laksmi that come behind, try to go through the crowed to see what's really happen. Eka Laksmi falls to her knees when she sees her son's body is on top of the soldier's leader body. Both of them had died. A few months later, the village have been calm again. No more ambushed or terrors from strange presence. I Suka Lara bid farewell to the remaining soldiers who will be back to the main town. While his wife visit their son and the soldier's leader grave which is lay side by side. A white crown flowers are put on top of their graves.

Ngurah Putra is a successful composer. He has composed many songs for various artists during his 20 years career life. His talents are known for his flexibility in music genre which make him could composed many different song genre although his main interest is still classical music.

After taking a holiday abroad, Ngurah Putra back to the country and thinking about making his own music performance again. It has been 5 years from his last composition performance before he busy making other songs that being approached to him. He say about his intention to his best friend, Bayu Krisna, and his friend is very supportive. Although he still reminded Ngurah Putra that many new young artist will try to approach him again to make songs for them. Ngurah Putra just nods for understanding. But he will try to devote himself for the new composition that he wants to make for his new performance. And just like Bayu's prediction, Ngurah Putra meet several artists, young and old, that wants him to create songs for them. Ngurah Putra reluctantly agree but he assure them that he can't make it fast enough because of his own project. Fortunately all of them could understand that. Ngurah Putra separate his life between works and gatherings with his friend. He also spent time in rural to gain inspiration for his own project and the others. He usually wake up until late night to finish the requested songs and also make progress of his own project. It is a usual thing when he sometimes didn't sleep at all. His condition become worse after he collapse in his friend gathering. The doctor told him to take some rest as his body is in severe fatigue. Komang Sudirga, Ngurah Putra's manager, then persuade him to postpone his project and to decline songs request for some time for his own health. Ngurah Putra agree to decline other project but he still wants to continue for his own project. Sudirga reluctantly agree.

One day, Ngurah Putra drive to a countryside to take some inspirations for his project. But he nearly gets accident after his eyesight suddenly blurred and he didn't see other car are coming from the opposite direction. He is admitted again to the hospital. The doctor says that there a possibility of eye problem but he can't be sure whether it is glaucoma or else. The doctor ask him to take further test. Ngurah Putra only said yes to the doctor although he doesn't take the test again. He continue to make progress for his project. And suddenly, one day he wake up with blindness. He call his manager and Sudirga rush him immediately to the hospital. Further tests are underway. And Ngurah Putra is informed that he contracted eye cancer which already reduce his eye sight.

Devastated about the news, Ngurah Putra lock himself from anyone to see. Sudirga, his manager and Bayu, his best friend, try to persuade him to take medication and treatment. After about a week locking himself, Ngurah Putra decided to go out. He doesn't know where to go. He just wandered around the city. He bumped several peoples and even falls to his knees because of his eyesight loss. With much efforts he manage to arrived at the river that cross the city. He just seat in the park bench on the side of the river looking everywhere with his bad eyesight. He suddenly cry for his loss and thinking that he might unable to do anything again because of his blindness. The night has come when he suddenly hear a sound of violin nearby. He can't see who's the one that playing it but he could feel the melody. It's soft, sad but encouraging. Ngurah Putra then sat up and went back to his apartment.

The next day, he contact his manager that he will proceed with the treatment much to his manager delight. Ngurah Putra is being treated for several months while he continue to compose for his project. Even though he still can't see clearly but he still can hear all the sound around him. Ngurah Putra is being informed that the doctor will operate his eye to stop the cancer spread. He is also being informed that the worst case is a possibility of permanent blindness. Ngurah Putra think about it for sometimes before he decided to continue with the operation procedure.

The operation is successful although Ngurah Putra will loss almost 75% of his eye sight afterwards. Ngurah Putra just smile brightly. He accept everything that happen. After back to his apartment, he continue to finish his project.

Ngurah Putra feels nervous when his project is ready to be perform by the city orchestra. His manager stay besides him to accompany him to meet everyone that come to the performance. His best friend, Bayu also present and help him to make the performance available. Ngurah Putra seated in front of the stage when the performance from his composition are being played. He unconsciously shed tears during the performance. After the performance ended all the audience gives a standing ovation. They praise the performance as the best of his many creations. Ngurah Putra smile widely for his success and for all the peoples that have help him through everything until his project is finished.

In the time of mid 17th century of Giri Island, the northern part of the island is controlled by a powerful kingdom known as Ulunusa Kingdom. The kingdom is quite old. It has been around from 14th century. The kingdom is very prosperous. The monarch lead from their capital in Ulun Pasih. The situation is so calm lately although deep inside the kingdom something big might happen. The current King, King Linggih X doesn't have male child and the kingdom throne might be pass to his nephew, Prince Ki Satya Damar. But the king is reluctant to give the kingdom to his nephew. He paid more attention to his eldest daughter, Princess Nyi Madu Sari. The Princess is given a tight lesson and preparation to become the next successor. Patih Agung Ki Karang Dawa warned the King about his action to his Princess. He told the King that female monarch might be not welcomed by most of the population. Although King Linggih X dismissed Patih Agung warning, he always worry about his daughter's future.

King Linggih X approached Duke of Pemogan and ask him to come to his Court. His intention is to ask for a marriage between the Duke's son and his eldest daughter. Duke of Pemogan is quite shocked with the reason of the meeting. He feels honor with the King's intention. And without any hesitation, the Duke agreed. The marriage between Prince Ki Sapta Guna of Pemogan and Princess Nyi Madu Sari of Linggih is held very lively. Although behind it, a plotting is develop. A secret meeting is held between Count of Tonja and his closed followers after the marriage. Princess Nyi Madu Sari continues her study and become an excellence heir. As her marriage is matrilineal then she has a right as the rightful successor for his father. But Patih Agung's concern become reality when he gets news from the spies about conspiracy that build up around the Royal Family. He told King Linggih X about the spy report. The King's become more worry about his daughter's future if he died. But his concern makes him depressed which cost his health. King Linggih X finally died.

After 12 days of mourning period, Princess Nyi Madu Sari is crowned as the new Monarch of Ulunusa. She entitled Queen Linggih XI. During her reign, many uprising occurred. The largest one is initiate by Count of Tonja, her own uncle. He wants to take the throne for his son and he despise a female as the ruler of the kingdom. The uprising almost crushed the kingdom. The capital, Ulun Pasih, was besieged. The territory of Petang Islands is controlled completely. After almost a month under siege, the capital fall. The Queen have been escaped to Belaluan and reached Tambangan border. Army from Pemogan arrived to save the Queen and recaptured the capital. The traitors are forced back out of the port. They then fortify themselves in Petang Islands. Queen Linggih XI come back to the capital. She ask Count of Tonja for a cease fire because she doesn't wants the kingdom to collapsed further. A meeting is held and it is settled that Count of Tonja and his follower will take Petang Islands as their domain and established a kingdom which become a vassal of Ulunusa. Count of Tonja agreed. Nusa Petang Kingdom is established but Count of Tonja's son is the one who ascend to the throne.

With the break away of Petang Islands, the Queen's opinion is deteriorated. Several uprising happened again which makes the opinion towards the Queen's decrease rapidly. The spy told the Queen's that King Satya I is the one behind all the uprising that happened in the kingdom. The uprisings are made to make the peoples believe that a Queen can't lead a kingdom. The Queen reluctant to wage another war with Petang Islands. She then told Patih Agung Ki Karang Dawa that she is intended to give the throne to her son. She doesn't wants her peoples suffer further if she reigned longer. Immediately after Prince Ki Sida Sapurna reached majority age, The Queen announce her abdication.

After 12 days after her abdication, Prince Ki Sida Sapurna is crowned as the new King. His first decision is to moved the capital from Ulun Pasih into more inland. Satria Palace is build as the monarch new residence which is near the highland. And the uprising vanished. Queen Linggih XI which is now become Queen Mother follow her husband to Pemogan. She live peacefully there until her death.

Sutha Wijaya open the film with narration over the current position of Pemecutan in oil and gas industry in which might be declining nowadays. He then focused his explanation over the establishment of MG Oil, Pemecutan state-owned oil and gas company. The movie detailing the background of MG Oil establishment, their establishment process, their earlier years.

In the mid, the film focused on the expansion of MG Oil. Their new drilling location and the difficulties of offshore oil exploration. Then they focused on the controversy about Uyuri Oil Exploration in Soracana Islands which made the strain over both countries relationship. The company setbacks is shown afterwards. Continued with the establishment of MG Power, the company subsidiary which focused on renewable energy.

About 15 years ago, Yudi and Ratih are closed friend during their high school year. Yudi is a nerd shy boy while Ratih is an overweight bright girl. Their high school life was not very good and also their love life. During the graduation day, they made a promise that they will marry each other if none of them get married in their 30th birthday.

15 years later, Yudi have become an IT staff with a great job and a huge salary. He is living a great life although he is still single. On the other hand, Ratih change into a beautiful women and working in tourism sector as a financial staff and shockingly still single. They have lost contact after their university days. But they finally meet each other during a reunion day of their high school. They become quite nervous when they meet again but things change fast as they talks about their passed university life. Knowing that they are both still single, Yudi reminded Ratih about their promised to Ratih surprise. She never thought that he will remember that promise. With an awkward moment, they decided to try to become a couple.

They find themselves very connected to each other as a friend but become very strange when they try to become a couple. Yudi's shyness and Ratih's insecurity makes their relationship ups and downs. On the other hand, Putra, their high school popular friend, took interest in Ratih after he saw her during their reunion party. Putra makes aggressive move to win Ratih's heart which makes Ratih become more confused. While Sinta, Yudi's coworker who have interest on him always try to seduced him.

Things gets really complicated when several events make both Yudi and Ratih build their jealousy towards each other. Until they decided to break-up. Ratih then become Putra's girlfriend while Yudi try his luck with Sinta. But, it turns out Putra only like Ratih for who is she now but not her overweight selves. While Yudi find himself being uncomfortable with Sinta's lewd behavior. These makes them break up with them.

One night, Yudi and Ratih accidentally meet each other in a restaurant of a hotel where Ratih is working. The awkward atmosphere built up between them until suddenly Yudi encourage himself to ask Ratih out and retry their relationship. Ratih is silent for a while before said yes. And both of them kissed each other inside the restaurant with the clapping and cheering sounds from the restaurant guests.

Satria just came back to his hometown after 8 years in the city, studying at the university and get some working. He see that his hometown is not much change, most are still the same. When he goes to the traditional market, he meet his childhood friend and also his first crush, Wirya. Their first meeting seems to be an awkward moment for both of them. As Satria still have the same feeling while Wirya literally try to avoid any contact.

Satria try to get more information about his crushed. From his mother, he finally knows that Wirya is already married and have a five years old son. He feel heartbroken for the truth. He decided to avoid Wirya. But the faith are not with him. They are always bump into each other and as Wirya always help Satria's mother in their rice field, they always seen each other. These makes everything gets more awkward.

One day, Hartati, Satria's mother, asked him to give a lunch box for Wirya. Although reluctant at first, but Satria have to complied. At the rice field, they are having lunch together in a silent until Wirya started a conversation. Even though not too much but they've started to share their stories from 8 years passed. Until suddenly, Wirya makes a move a kiss Satria which shock him. After the incident, Satria try to avoid him. Not because he doesn't have the feeling to him, but because Wirya is already married. But the lunch box have to always delivered for Wirya which makes Satria harder to avoid him. While Wirya ask for forgiveness for his bold action. And questioning Satria's feeling towards him. Satria have to lied to Wirya and says that he had forgetting his feeling towards him much to Wirya disbelief.

Satria can't understand Wirya's attitude and attention too him. He is confused. Wirya is already married but why he still try to get close too him. Satria always avoided Wirya's closeness but they are always meet for the lunch at the field as Wirya is working for Hartati. Until one day their closeness change into more intimate and their intimacy are seen by Wirya's wive who come to the rice field to tell him about their sick son.

Dewi, Wirya's wive, feels indifference towards Wirya. She question Wirya's feelings towards her and their marriage life. One day, she ask Wirya about his relationship with Satria which shocked him. He tried to avoid the question but she keep pressuring him until he told the truth that he love Satria and always love him and their marriage is just a way for him to try to forget Satria. Although now he understand that he can't and never completely forget his feelings towards Satria. The revelation really shocked Dewi. She decided to leave her husband and take their son to her father's house.

Satria learn Wirya's marriage situation from Hartati and confront Wirya. Wirya told him that he is regretting break up with Satria 8 years ago (the reason why Satria leave his hometown and studied at the city) and he can't burried his feeling for Satria until now. The marriage is only a mask for Wirya for he try to be 'normal' but he completely failed as he still have the same feeling for Satria.

Hartati concern of Satria's change behavior. She try to console his son. Satria ask her for what can he do about the situation. He can't deny that he also still love Wirya but he is already married. Hartati says that sometimes love have to sacrifice.

Satria decide to meet Dewi. He tell her that he will go back to the city and might not come back again. Dewi is shock with Satria's decision and ask him about his feeling for Wirya. Satria just smile and says that he still love Wirya but Wirya already have another future. Dewi feel sadden with Satria's revelation. He then ask Dewi to go back with Wirya and not telling him about Satria's decision.

Satria have pack his belongings and gives a farewell to his mother. Hartati supported her son decision although with heavy heart. When Satria waiting for his bus at the terminal, he is stopped by Wirya who asked him not to go again. He try to convince Satria by divorcing Dewi so that they can be together no matter what others will say. But Satria is unmoved. Even though he really wants to be with Wirya but he can't break their marriage. He also think about Wirya's son. His son can't be grow up without a father. If 8 years ago Wirya is the one who give up their love because of frighten for what people will say about them, now Satria have to give up their love for Wirya's marriage longevity. Although hard for him, Wirya have to let go Satria. He blamed himself for his cowardice 8 years ago which makes their complicated situation now.

Satria looking at Wirya from the bus window for the last time before the bus started their ride to the city. He can't control his feeling as the situation of 8 years ago repeated again. He can't control his tears that have falling down. On the other hand, Wirya come to his house. He is shocked as his son run towards him and Dewi is standing inside the house. He try to fake the smile and embrace the wrong decision that he had made 8 years ago. He embrace his son and come towards Dewi who is also smiling.

Nawari is a brave and remarkable orphan raised by greedy and sadistic nurses in a small orphanage. His childhood is nothing but rough torture and abuse until he ran away at his youth and lives in the street. One day, while searching for food, he met a lady of European descent who gave him bread and a glass of milk. Eventually, he gets a job working as a private butler (some says consort) for the grateful and generous Lady Cohen of Cohen Tower. The unlikely couple rapidly succumbs to a frantic passion, and they fell in love. much to zack's dismay, a tenant of Cohen Tower who has feelings for Cohen.

On the day of their wedding, Zack sneaks from the attic of the Tower and starts a fire. Believing that Lady Cohen is dead, Nawari flees from the tower and wanders the cold moors for days until he is rescued by a bartender, Azura.

However, although Lady Cohen is blinded severely by the fire, she still breathes. Without Nawari, she becomes fragile and paranoid. She turns to alcohol for comfort. The ghost of those who died on the fire haunts her.

Meanwhile, thinking Lady Cohen is dead, Nawari has moved on from the accident and married Azura, they even have a baby son. However, one night he believes he can hear Lady Cohen calling, "Nawari, where are you? Nawari, please come home!" which he responds by returning to Cohen Tower.

On his return, he finds Lady Cohen drunk and without sight. Mistaking him for another ghost in her vision, she attacks him with a knife and stabs him 42 times. Nawari then holds Cohen's hand dearly and tells her how much he missed her. Shortly after, he kissed her deeply before he died from blood loss.

As she attends to the body, Lady Cohen realizes what she has done. Driven mad with guilt and sadness, she found her way to the attic, and jump herself from the roof, killing her instantly.

So they make it bigger, taking over the whole apartment building, to the dismay of the neighbors. But soon they join in, and the for starts to take over the town. In the deep forest just outside the city, a bunch of cocoon can be seen hanging on a tree. They are waiting their time to hatch. One young worm still excitedly eaten again and again while seeing the hanging cocoon. She dreamed to become one of them someday. But to be like that she has to eat daily. As time goes by, some of the cocoon start to break apart. The young worm stop her eating and looking at the hatching cocoon. She is mesmerized by the beautiful creature that come out from the cocoon. It is a red butterfly, so elegant and beautiful. Next to it, emerge a blue butterfly which looking rather bulky. They are flying circling the tree and approaching the young worm. They are talking for sometimes. The young worm told them about her dream to be like them. They are both told her to be patient because she will be like them someday. She just need to wait and keep what she's doing now. Both the red and blue butterfly fly away from the tree, leaving the young worm alone.

As time pass by, the young worm start to looking for her place. She then wrapped herself inside a cocoon. Waiting for quite sometimes, her cocoon started to break apart. She is trying to open up the crack on her cocoon. She walk out from her cocoon. She looks very tired. She try to take out her wings which quite difficult to do. After several attempt, her wings are free. She spread her wings in an aw. The wings is yellow in color with 2 white dot at the bottom of it. She fly excitedly and happily. She can see the other worms also looking at her in an aw. She greeted them which congratulate her with a beautiful transformation. After quite a while, she then fly away from the tree, looking for the flowers whose smell attracted her. The flower is near a pond where a large frog seating quietly on top of a lotus leaf. The young butterfly fly quietly and landed on the flower. She takes the nectar to satisfy her hunger but when she is going to fly again the frog attack her. She try to escape from that frog's tongue. Luckily she is flying faster which making her further away from the frog's tongue range. She feels relieve when she is bump with a great sparrow. Shocked, she don't know what to do when the sparrow attacked her as its meal.

Wijaya is a well-known family in Ubung. The family has a legacy as a doctor for several generations. Pandu Wijaya is the latest generation of Wijaya's family. He is a reknowned surgeon. His career is very brilliant. He even become vice director of a hospital in Ubung. Oka Ramdan is Pandu's young son. The family has prepared him from early age to become a doctor so the family legacy will always continue. He has to study harder than his friends. This makes him feel isolated from his social life. Studying is always on his schedule.

Sometimes Oka feels so tired with all of the study that he has to take. One day, he ask his friend, Frans Pramudya to take him somewhere. They are both skipping class for a day. They continues to do it for several weeks. News about Oka skipping classes is heard by his parents. He is then being question by Pandu. Pandu is angry with Oka's behaviour which he sees as a disgrace to the family name. Pandu even beaten him up with his belt before he locked his son in his room. His mother, Sukma Dewi is just silence with all that happen.

The next day, Sukma Dewi comes to Oka's room. She is not comforting her son but rather gives him ultimatums to not skipping class again or else. Afraid for his son behaviour, Pandu hire a bodyguard to keep an eye for his son every action. This situation makes Oka unable to do anything. Frans feels sorry for Oka's condition. He is getting more stressful. He can't do anything except studying not just at school but also in private lesson and even at night before he sleep, he has to study under his father supervision. These condition makes him suffer. He try to talks about his feeling to his friends, Frans and Sintya. But he is unable to do so because the bodyguard prevent him. His parents are also prevent him to go out. His daily life is only between home and school.

Oka getting more depress. He can't eat properly. He is often vomiting after he eat. His body is getting thinner. Frans and Sintya feels sad about Oka's condition until one day Oka is collapse during class. He is rushed to the hospital where his father is working. Although knowing his son is at the hospital, Pandu doesn't visit him. He is continuing his works. While Sukma is patiently waiting for her son in the room. She doesn't seem to be sad even though Oka is looks so pale. She just tell his son to be healthy as soon as possible because being sick making him skip class for too long and it will affected his grades.

At night, Oka is crying in silent remembering everything that his parents said to him. Even after 3 days he is staying at the hospital, Pandu has never visit him. From his mother, he knows that Pandu doesn't want to visit him because what happen to Oka has disappoint him. Oka is feel so devastated for everything. He feels that he will never be able to satisfied his parents. Oka is walking out from his room unknown to anyone. He walks slowly to the elevator. Inside the elevator, he press the rooftop button.

Next day, Sukma is arrive at the hospital. She is walking elegantly even though the situation is quite chaotic. Everyone is rushing around. Sukma doesn't seems to pay any attention. She just going to her son's room. She looks puzzled when she see no one is in the room. She ask the passing nurse about her son whereabouts. The nurse looks pale but she is then ask Sukma to follow her. The nurse then take Sukma to the morgue. Sukma feels strange about that. But the nurse doesn't say anything. She is just taking Sukma into one of the hospital bed. The nurse then open up the sheet which reveal Oka's dead body. Sukma suddenly stunned. She can't say anything. She can't cry. She is just standing there. Frozen.

Satria Manggala is a widower. He lost his wife because of ovarian cancer. After his wife's death, he is focusing himself into his works. He is rarely going to any gathering or social events. His life is just work and home. He has 2 children, Arumi and Dwipa. Arumi, the older, is a college student. Dwipa is in his senior year in highschool. Although they like their father affection towards them but they also have a feeling that their father is lonely.

Arumi is befriended with Praja. Although the rumour in their college always says that they are dating but they are not. She sometimes share her thoughts to Praja including about his father. Praja told her to try to get her father back into the social circle. But they don't know how.

One day at a grocery store, Satria is clumsily make a cereal display to fall apart. Some of it falls all over a woman who's standing nearby. He is then apologize to the woman and they are introduce each other. The woman is Tyas Hapsari. Although they are seems to be connected immediately, Tyas have to go after she receive a call. They then take separate ways.

The meeting slowly change Satria's behaviour. He become more vibrant and energize. He is also smile often. Arumi feels suspicious and ask her father. Satria told his daughter about the meeting which makes Arumi so happy. At the college, Arumi told Praja about what happen and he is very happy to hear that. Arumi says that she wants to meet that woman. Satria and Tyas are meeting constantly usually at the grocery store. They are not dating or something, they just like the company of each other. But their meeting always cut short when Tyas phone is ringing. Satria is questioning what's Tyas might be hiding from him.

After quite sometimes, Satria encourage himself to ask Tyas to be his girlfriend. Tyas is shock at first but then she reluctantly refuse him. Feeling hurt, Satria is become gloomy again. The sudden change makes Arumi worry. She ask her father what happen and Satria tells everything to his daughter. She feels sad about what happen but also curious about Tyas's decision.

Arumi silently take Tyas phone number from his father phone and try to contact the woman. They then meet secretly. Tyas feels happy to finally meet Arumi which is always a topic when she is talking with Satria. Arumi then ask about Tyas's decision to refuse his father. Tyas told her that she actually like Satria but she is afraid that she is not worth enough for him. Arumi try to ask more explanation when suddenly Tyas's phone is ringing. She then cut the meeting and have to heading home. Confuse with the action, Arumi decided to followed Tyas.

Arumi stood in front of a simple house. She saw earlier that Tyas is entering this house. She brace herself and knocking on the door. A voice can be heard and Tyas is standing behind the door. She is quite shock knowing that Arumi is behind the door. She ask her to come in. Inside the house, Arumi is apologizing for her action which Tyas understand. Tyas know that she has to say what's she is hiding all the time. Not that Tyas feels bad about it but she is afraid that no one will understand.

They are standing in front of a room. Tyas is opening the door and walk in. Arumi is following behind. She sees someone is laying helplessly in the bed. That woman is sleeping soundly. Tyas told Arumi that the sleeping woman is her mother-in-law. After her husband died, she has to take care of her late husband's family. She's been doing this the whole time. And divided her time between working and taking care of her in laws have make her have little time to socializing. Meeting with Satria is like a new colors to Tyas's life. But she is afraid with her condition like this Satria won't accept her. That is the reason why Tyas rejected it.

Knowing the truth makes Arumi feel sad. She decided to tell everything to her father to know his reaction. Satria feels sad that he doesn't know the truth behind all of this.

Tyas just finished her morning routine giving her mother-in-law breakfast. Suddenly the doorbell is ringing. She open the door and is shock when seeing Satria is standing in front of her. They are seating at the living room. Satria told her that he is already know everything from Arumi. Tyas understand that. He then told her that he is very proud of her action to take care of her in law and she doesn't have to feel shame or afraid because of that. Satria told her that he is okay with her condition and ask her again to be his girlfriend. Tyas is smiling with Satria's words. Tyas thinking for a while before accepting it. Satria is smiling widely and suddenly hug her tightly. They feel embarrassed later on but laugh after that.

B. Plot/Synopsis

This documentary movie is telling the background about Batubulan status and it's dispute over the time. Batubulan is a small island located in northeast of Giri Island, Pemecutan mainland. It is nearer towards Soracana Archipelago than Giri Island. The island was part of Tegeh Kori Kingdom, the first kingdom that rule the area. After the collapse of the kingdom, the island is given to Ulunusa Kingdom. It was taken by Karanganyar Kingdom. And after the Karanganyar Civil War, Batubulan Island become the place where Karanganyar Royal Family is banished.

The island then become part of Tambangan Kingdom, the predecessor of Karanganyar. It was being handed over several time between Tambangan and Ulunusa which still claim the island based of Tegeh Kori splits agreement. After Soracana Islands breakaway from Ulunusa, the new kingdom is also contested the right to own Batubulan Island. This three-way dispute were continued until the area was conquered by British Empire in 1908.

This movie is trying to detailing about the backstory of the dispute and why Batubulan Island become so important.
