Back then I skipped English class to watch it on the TV of the campus administration building, felt like an important moment in history that I shouldn't miss. Of course back then I was a teenage liberal who said cringey shit like "post-racial society" and I genuinely thought the wars would end.
I don't remember where I was on Obama's second, my guess is I was asleep because this was a time when I'd go the gym at 3AM.
Then in 2017, it was my first time back in America since moving abroad, I was with my wife and my mother-in-law came too, we went out for breakfast and then when we got to my parents' house they put on the TV. I said something to my parents along the lines of "This is fucking sickening, I can't watch this" which I think my MIL got the gist of despite not speaking English. The language barrier kept her and my parents from an awkward discussion. I left and my wife caught up with me after a few minutes of watching in horror.
i don't think i've ever actually watched one, i didn't watch trump's and before that, i was either too young or not interested in politics enough to care. wait nvm i was at lincoln's inauguration was pretty lit as the kids like to say
