Bio:
Eos was born the daughter of Elias and Ismini Asteriou in 2205. However she was not born alone, as her sister Iris had been born just before her (as Iris often liked to remind her). The two twins were raised in a fairly typical Promethean neighborhood and household on Promethia. Like so many, their father was off fighting for much of their childhood, though there would be times when he rotated home to spend time with them. They were primarily raised however by their mother who was strict but loving. Eos developed a close relationship with her twin Iris and the two were largely inseparable during their days on Prometheia. It wasn't until their father returned and they began to move around the galaxy that Eos and Iris displayed clear differences in personality and outlook. While Iris was resentful of Elias for uprooting their life, Eos was grateful for her father's return and somewhat desperate for his approval. Because of this while Iris turned rebellious, Eos did her best to keep in her parents' good graces. However the moving wore on Eos as well and she sought comfort mostly in books. She took a great interest in reading whatever she could get her hands on. They were somewhat lonely years but they lit a spark in Eos that would influence her life in a great way. By the time the twins were 16, they both decided they wanted to attend Adon Institute of Higher Education. While her sister had focused on medicine and biology, Eos found herself far more interested in psychology and chemistry. Her years at school were a bit calmer than her sister's and while they remained good friends they drifted apart somewhat into different life styles. While Eos partied occasionally she spent more of her time in the library and hanging out with a small group of friends. One of the them was a human named Aidan who she eventually developed a serious romantic relationship with. Her school years were some of the best of her life and Eos expected to live a casual civilian life, probably working in some private practice on Prometheia. However things changed upon the tragic news that her father had died while serving in the military. Eos and Iris had a number of long talks and decided to fulfil their promise to join the military.
Eos' military service was fairly mundane, though being separated from her sister was a big change. She went through basic training and then was sent out as field psychiatrist for the 44th Fleet of the Confederation's navy. She gained a lot of experience treating soldiers there, and saw what war could do to people's psyches. In reality it was probably the best field experience she could have asked for and she learned a great deal during her service. Her relationship with Aidan had dissipated over time and Eos found herself completely dedicated to her work in the navy.
Things changed greatly two years ago however when her sister was caught in controversy and dishonorably discharged from the military. Eos didn't hesitate in tendering her resignation and uprooting her life once more to join her sister on the planet Altanorch. After two years they were approached by the Confederation with an unconventional offer to return to service. Iris accepted eagerly and though she had her reservations Eos joined as well finding that she missed interacting with soldiers.
