My deep apologies for not RPing. I was working a job that was supposed to end on US election day but, for a number of reasons, instead went all the way through this past weekend.

No disrespect intended to TJUN-ia, Cassadaigua, or Newmanistan with this RP. You're all amazing, incredible, great and talented RPers and teams, and I think any one of you would make a great WBC champion. But I'm pulling out the Margaret guns to try to make it me who wins it. So any criticism or slight you might feel, I pre-emptively apologize and wish you all the best. I hope you enjoyed the storylines presented for Newmanistan and Cassadaigua, and TJUN, I'm not looking past you, I just wanted to get it on the page. Good luck to everyone tonight!

Congrats Cass for a long-overdue fourth championship, and thanks for a great WBC to everyone who participated!

After the team's Ro32 exit, Tigers manager Winston Yi has been fired from his position. The LBA is now searching for a new manager to take what has ICly been an underwhelming return to the next level. Feel free to TG/DM me with any candidates you might have!

Also, if anyone wants a Llamanean on their team's managerial staff, the three managers below are available! Again, TG/DM with any inquiries -
Mark Dellavedova - 67 - Tigers Bench Coach (41-43), South Falls Athletic Manager (44-48)
Michael Shelby - 55 - Nikcoro Suns Manager (46-50)
Winston Yi - 57 - New Llama Cyclones Manager (47-50), Tigers Bench Coach (49), Tigers Manager (50)

Congrats to Cass for winning and great job hosting such a large tournament.

For me it was the first of the major 5 tournaments that I made it past the first round in and I'm happy to have advanced past the group stage in my second tournament. This was an extremely fun, and well run WBC and I'm also looking forward to the next one.

What a great Classic deserving of #50! And boy, what a turnout we had ...

The WBC Rankings are now updated for post WBC 50! I never thought I'd actually have to add rows once I shrank the sheet to 100, but I did! We officially have 102 ranked nations going into the next WBC. Whether or not any of them show up again remains to be seen :p

Glad to have participated in this WBC. The Groundball Day storyline probably only has a couple more installments left. Unfortunately due to my traditional Ro16 exit and finals season heating up at school, I wasn't able to finish it here. I'll aim to finish it up next WBC though (and on the 10th WBC anniversary of said traumatic event to boot). See you all then!

World Baseball Classic Council Voting

The dust has settled on the 50th World Baseball Classic, and all the post-championship partying has settled down in Cassadaigua. Now, it is time to move on from this Classic, and figure out who will be a part of the new council.

These nations were a part of the Council prior to WBC 49:
Banija
Cassadaigua
Drawkland
Free Republics
Hampton Island
Hapilopper
Ko-oren
Liventia
Newmanistan
Northwest Kalactin
Nova Anglicana
Sarzonia
South Newlandia
Terre Septentrionale (formerly Union of Socialist Alpine Republics, Alpine Union and Southern Democratic States)
TJUN-ia
The Greater Nordics
The Sherpa Empire
West Phoenicia
Xanneria

Failing to Provide a Roster & RP in WBC 49 and 50, and removed from the council: Xanneria

Not Providing a Roster & RP in WBC 50, and will be removed if they do the same in WBC 51: Free Republics

The following new/returning nations posted a roster and RP in 49 & 50, and will be voted upon at this time: Falisiand, Kohnhead, Ranoria, Royal Kingdom of Quebec, Super-Llamaland, Tikariot, and Zwangzug. Additionally, Daskel has qualified for a re-vote.

The following new/returning nations posted a roster and RP in 50, and will be eilgible to be voted upon after 51 if they do the same: Chromatika, Ethane, Karditan, Kriegiersien, Quintessence of Dust, Rwekazaland, Sangti, Sicoutimont, Squidroidia, The Fortem, United Hemand Insia, and Valanora

HALL OF FAME NOTE: No new nations qualify for induction. There is no official policy on when The Sherpa Empire should be reconsidered, but I feel it is best to do so after the nation gains another top four finish. This is obviously debatable and we can discuss this.

Therefore on the matter of adding to the council: Daskel, Falisiand, Kohnhead, Ranoria, Royal Kingdom of Quebec, Super-Llamaland, Tikariot, and Zwangzug; present members of the WBC Council after the posting of this post can submit their vote of FOR, AGAINST, or ABSTAIN for EACH of these nations. Please submit your vote to this nation, World Baseball Classic, by 9pm on Saturday, December 26.

Thank you!

Don't bother voting on it this time. Wait till a WBC when I'm not MIA for most of the group stage.

Get your votes in, WBC Council members, for the new council. Three days to go, and it probably won't be something you're thinking about on Christmas!

We are at about 50% turnout so far.

Regardless of whether I can regain previous standing (don't think I can anyway), I would rather start from scratch.
