Skills/Powers//Magic: Daniel is a Mage who dabbles in healing, protection, and elemental attacks (fireballs and such), but has not mastered any of those areas. Rather, his true specialty is swordsmanship, specifically with bastard swords, sabers, and rapiers. He is also good with daggers and throwing knives, the latter which overlaps with his adoptive older brother's skills. And finally, he knows his history, theology, and other forms of lore.

Personality: Daniel is cocky, overconfident, and tends to let a potential reward cloud his judgement, which would have killed him off a long time ago if not for his twin brother's influence. However, he is also kindhearted and compassionate and strives to do the right thing, it's just that in situations where the right thing isn't easy to see, Daniel depends on the assessments of other people (mostly his fraternal twin brother, Leon), to make a decision. Basically, Daniel sees himself as a hero yet at the same time isn't prepared for the complexity of the world, although he is open to learning when given time and space and a clear head to process knowledge...

Moral Alignment: Neutral Good.

Biography: The Palaiologos family were longtime residents of Argyho, a rich merchant house known for its generosity and support of the leaderships' policies of inclusion and (relative) egalitarianism. Deuel Palaiologos, Daniel's father, married Maria Perrin, a skilled doctor and healer. Together, they had Daniel and his fraternal twin, Leon, and all was happy, even when Deuel began going on 'business trips' to Anselm to free slaves, one of whom he gave an offer to stay with his family and be a brother to Daniel and Leon, an offer only accepted later on. Surprisingly enough, Daniel and Leon found themselves liking Kyle, the former slave whom his father had taken a liking to, and due to Daniel preferring a combat career and Leon being focused focused on keeping Daniel in check, they allowed their adoptive brother to take control of the business after their father's death as long as they got a generous allowance for their upkeep and the upkeep of their future adventuring career.

For they had wanted to be adventurers since they were young, facing down threats and monsters, both creatures of darkness or just corrupt folk - Not even their parents, when they were alive, were able to quell those dreams. Kyle, meanwhile, was willing to finance said adventuring career provided that they don't get him and the family company in trouble. That and if they do jobs for him at a discount from time to time...

Goals: High Adventure to uphold the good and smite the bad!

Skills/Powers//Magic: Unlike his brother, Leon has only one magical specialty which he has mastered to its limit. This specialty is the conjuration of constructs made of light, primarily chains, shields, or chains with shields attached to them. He mixes this with his high dexterity and endurance to fill a number of combat roles, with him and Daniel protecting each other while taking turns attacking the enemy. Leon is also the one who manages his' and Daniel's savings, and while Daniel has knowledge of the divine and of historical events, Leon is the one who focuses on current politics and economics...

Equipment:

- 1x Rogues' costume with light chainmail underneath.
- 1x Dagger for emergencies.
- 2x Mana Potions
- 2x Health Potions
- 1x Pouch of Gold.
- 1x Wallet contianing necessary documents.

Personality: Leon sees himself as the capable, clear-headed brother (not to devalue Kyle, but even he can have gradiose goals) who sees the pitfalls of his siblings' appraches and takes steps in secret to prevent them from dying. He cares about Daniel and Kyle, but doesn't bother caring about the wider world or complete strangers because that is literally others' job. And by others, let his siblings care about the big picture - He cares about them. And if he keeps them save, and they somehow save the world, then doesn't that mean he saved the world anyway? Either way, Leon loves only a few things, and struggles to protect said few things - This is a trait he has had since childhood, a trait shaped by formative events during that time (see below).

Moral Alignment: Neutral Good.

Biography: Leon was born as Daniel's twin brother, part of the Perrin-Palaiologos merchant family. While he was young, he had friends, did well in school, did even better in private tutorials, and all in all demnstrated the precocious intelligence which cropped up every few generations of the family. But even in Argyho, the land of happiness, there was still danger and horror, and Leon realized that when a girl he knew died from sickness, the same sickness his parents would later die from. Since then, he became closed-off, minding his own safety and that of his parents, maintaining only the oldest of his friendships. Even then, however, he wasn't totally closed off, as when Kyle was adopted into the family, Leon saw in his new brother someone who appreciated those who can be trusted, someone who didn't take life's bounty for granted. And so Leon vowed to protect Kyle as well.

When their parents died, Leon was originally the one to inherit the fortune and the trading company, but upon hearing Daniel's desire to become an adventurer, chose to give the inheritance to Kyle after asking for ironclad guarantees and conditions to ensure thier comfortable life plus their adventuring career's upkeep. It also helped that Kyle was slightly more capable in business than Leon was. Either way, Leon followed Daniel into a life of adventuring, making sure that the two of them were as safe as can be, which was hard due to the fact that bandits and footpads were always willing to test the two as they travelled the countryside righting wrongs...

Goals: To safeguard his brothers and make sure they don't die following their goals.

Sailing and Naval Combat - Raised in Kartara in her youth, Alessia is skilled with all matters sailing and navigation, and her later training in Achysia gave her knowledge of how to conduct naval combat using larger ships and fleets and the occassional ensorcelled sea monster. Thus, she knows how to lead both small-scale operations and raids and larger fleet operations.

Warmage and Shaman - Alessia is a powerful Magi from a nation renowned for its powerful Magi, a lady of Black Magic specializing in Water, Wind, and Frost. What makes her even more potent is her ability to talk with the Spirits of her homeland, as well as honor them in the proper Kartaran ways in exchange for powerful boons, such as healing and enhancements, which would normally be White Magic, which she is disinterested in to the point where her potential for it has atrophied.

Personality: "I have two peoples - I failed one of them, and I will not fail the other," those were Alessia's words when she left Achysia to reside with her father's people, Clan Ice Bear. Raised in two societies, two cultures, Alessia sees the need to combine aspects of both to create a greater whole, as well as organic, gradual change to make sure that her people do not lose their identities and cultures in the drive to 'modernize'. Though blase about slavery only a few years ago, seeing her second people subjected to that fate has soured her stance on that institution quite well, even when it is her clan and allies who practice it. Nevertheless, she is pragmatic enough to allow it, even as she makes her displeasure clear by seeking occcassions to free as many slaves as possible.

As for her personal likes and dislikes, as well as personal quirks, she keeps them secret, although one can find an interest in the arts, stories, and customs of her father's people, which she is retraining herself in. She has also reverted to the worship of the Spirits and Totems of her ancestors, though she acknowledges the existence of the Sixteen, she only prays to them when it is clear that a given phenomenon or concept is outside the power of the Spirits to affect. She also loves fishing for salmon whenever she has the time to do it.

Moral Alignment: Lawful Neutral with Good Tendencies.

Biography: A long time ago, there was Clan Ice Bear, which lived on the coasts of the Main Isle, fishing, trading and raiding. They were friends with the Achysians and their Mage-Emperor, and by that, they were working as their sellsails long before the War of Seven Realms. These links drew so close that their then-chieftain, Stormbreaker, proposed marriage to the local Archmage who had been tasked to 'oversee' their operations. Tales say that if not for the fact that Stormbreaker was handsome, strapping and brave, this presumption would have been met with swift retribution. But he was, and the Archmage, Alina Riversong, agreed to the arrangement, provided that she not be bound to obey her husband. Either way, Alessia was conceived in love, and born of it, too.

As she grew up, her father trained her in the art of fishing, sailing, and navigation, while her mother taught her literacy and the basics of magic in cooperation with the tribe's Shaman. Alessia grew into her talents well, but at age fifteen, her mother was called to Achysia's capital, with orders to bring her daugther with her for training in Magic. She had no choice but to comply, but both her and Alessia vowed to return to Clan Ice Bear, no matter how many years it took.

During her apprenticeship, Alessia was scorned at for her mixed heritage and her then-rough ways, but she eventually managed to learn how to be outwardly 'refined'. Becoming a Mage at 18 and an Warmage at 22, it was clear that she had a special destiny ahead of her, a destiny which included being appointed Admiral of the Southern Shores, where she spent 4 more years fighting pirates, raiders, and Kartaran Clans which were enemies of both Achysia and Clan Ice Bear, whom she continued to have warm relations with. But just as she and her mother were about to announce their early retirement to return to Clan Ice Bear, war struck, a war they had to fight even when they knew they were serving a madman. When her mother was killed in a fleet action against the forces of Calaria and Duivene, all she can do was resent the Mage-Emperor for his madness.

When the war was well and truly lost, Alessia knew that as the Kartaran Clans had sided with Achysia, they would face the vengeance of Calaria, so she returned to Clan Ice Bear, only to find that her father had been slaughtered in one of the first 'vengeance raids' of that nation. Vowing vengeance, she re-embraced the Old Ways of the Clans and went on a quest to convince the five most important Totems of her people to support her in her quest. Eventually, she gained the support of Ice Bear, her Clan's animal, and also Salmon, Deer, Seal, and Dolphin, other important Spirits, and the Clans who worshipped them.

And on the Night of the Bloody Moons, she held a meeting of all five clans on a sacred mountain, and proclaimed the Bearpact, a coalition whose goal it was to drive out the Calarian foes!

Goals: Drive out the Calarians, and unite the Kartaran Clans into a new age of peace and prosperity.
