"Hello, Senator Volek. This is Elisa Hidalgo speaking." She answered curiously.
“Hello. I wouldn’t ordinarily reach out to a Senate candidate this early, but Colorado is a must-win state for us. Assuming that you’ll be able to make it to the general unopposed, you’re the woman of the hour. I’ve read up on what you hope to achieve if you win, but I want to hear a bit about your strategy and about your views on reform versus.. well, let’s call it something stronger than reform.”
"Oh." Elisa thought for a moment. "Well, strategy-wise, we're primarily focusing on three particular groups: young progressives, Hispanics, and college-educated Whites. We're going to be campaigning pretty heavily in the suburbs because that was where we saw the blue wave two years ago. We're also going to hammer in on Guerrera's exposed corruption and point out how frequently he's folded to the Wolf Republicans despite claiming to be a moderate. All of that combined with turning out the base in strong numbers would be a start to taking the seat back.
As for reform... you might need to be a little more specific. If you're worried I'm going to try to 'overthrow the system' or something, don't worry. I do want to reform how some things are done to combat corruption and give regular Americans more of a say, but I'm not planning on taking a wrecking ball to things, if that's what you're asking."
