For a moment, thousands of Allanean soldiers broke out in cheer. None expected surrender to be this massed and this rapid. The enemy had fought tenaciously (if not always bravely) to this point, and so the Allaneans had fully expected to fight a tenacious fight to the bitter end. Now, of course, the situation had changed utterly within minutes.

From the ground forces' base, companies of men on armored vehicles moved out to the towns that used to be the capital cities of Candabaumie's kingdoms and empires, to secure major buildings, the various leadership palaces, and the records of the slaver governments. From the sea, warships moved into harbors to secure what remained of the enemy fleets.

Immediate action was taken to begin distributing food and blankets to those of the population who were afflicted by power shortages due to the war.

OOC: Well, most were moderate in their rulings. It was mostly about 20% of slave owners that were cruel. Actually quite a few were abolitionists, but if they tried to say anything, they would be killed. Though it would Probably be Prince Kiuty

We, Cassiopeia Blaken-Kazansky, by the Grace of the Gods and the Will of the People Empress of Greater Prussia, Queen of Allanea and Reichskamphen, et cetera et cetera, hereby welcome the friendship of the people of Candabaumie. We hereby ordain that henceforwards it is the duty of the Free Kingdom's soldiers to protect the right and liberties of all people of Candabaumie.

We hereby also order that General Aubrey Hamington, for his bravery and wisdom in conducting this campaign, shall be styled Viceroi of Candabaumie, Archduke Hamington, He Who Makes Men. We order that he be forged a crown and a sword, fit for his new station, out of the crowns and weapons of defeated slavers.

We are also informed that some of Candabaumie's monarchs have been abolitionists, fearful of acting lest the slavers murder them and their families. Those men shall be given posts and positions under the Viceroi, as dukes and archdukes, as the Viceroi of the Candabaumie shall so see fit, and their personal property shall be kept secure. Of the former slavers, those who surrender and cease all their evildoing, will be treated with all possible kindness. Those, however, who continue to resist Our benign rule, should be stripped of all titles, and faced with the entire violence of the Crown.

Further, We direct Our Viceroy to undertake a full investigation into the former crimes of slaver-kind and publicise them, in the form of a Truth and Reconciliation Commission, but to undertake no further prosecution of those who have recognized and accepted the authority of the Crown. It is also the task of Our Viceroy to work to assure the safety, liberty, and prosperity of the people of Candabaumie going forward.

We direct that the Viceroy of Candabaumie shall be crowned as soon as it is possible, in the late slaver-prince Kiuty's former chambers.
