Race day
Mid season break had been a relief for Dom Falepeau. It gave a chance to take some time off and somewhat distance himself from the usual pressure. The non-championship races during the midseason had also been a nice change. With no championship points at stake, it took a lot of pressure of one's shoulders. Sure, there was a factor of putting up a good show for the spectators, but in the long run, they weren't something too overly important in regards of the results. Dom and his team had used that as an opportunity to test out different race strategies and setups, in short - trying out some new things.
However, now, they were in Nekoni. It was time to start working again. Working hard to keep up the decent performance shown in the first half of the season. Usual scenario - trying out different setups during practice to send it in qualifying. Results had been decent - Dom starting P8, with his teammate Jasmin couple spots ahead in P6.
At the morning of the race day, Dom had taken himself a liberty to invite the team staff out for a quick little motivational morning workout session. With music playing in the background from a little boombox, Dom was in front of the crowd, doing various simple exercises to be mimicked by the rest of the team.
''One! Two! One! Two!''
''Front bend! Back bend! Sidedab!'' Dom shouted out as he did a dab, which was shortly after mimicked by everyone else with some laughing.
''Aaaaand shake what your momma gave you!'' Dom said as he turned around and did some aggressive twerking.
''Okay, that's enough for now!'' Dom said as he shut off the boombox. ''If we manage to work today with the energy we all showed here right now, we have some promising results waiting for us. Half the season is over, come on guys! Let's do this!'' Dom waved his fist up in the air and received some cheering from his team. Soon, everyone head out to prepare for the race. Dom head back to his motorhome to take a quick shower and put on his racing suit. He hoped his fun little motivational thing would boost some confidence in the whole team for the race.
