Nominees for Best Kid's Film

Postby Silvedania » Wed Nov 25, 2020 5:25 pm

Ava-Rose: Hello my name is Ava-Rose and I am 5. I like watching movies but not all of them are centered towards me. This is why I starred in the animated movie Over the Summer. That film isn't nominated, but one of my favorites is. It is called The Intergalactic Shipping Company. It is so good and so funny. It happens to be the only film nominated tonight. This means that this film has already technically won the award. But I love it anyways... Forever. Here is Danni O'Quinn with the nominees for best actor.

Nominees for Best Actor

Postby Silvedania » Wed Nov 25, 2020 5:34 pm

Danni: All the other presenters have talked about what makes a film great. The actors aren't part of that. The actors are the part that makes a film look good, not actually makes it good. But actors are important for the creation of a film, and thus here are the nominees for best actor:

  • Rajesh Verma - The Car
  • James Rogers - Black and White
  • Eiko Michori - -Soris Datae-
  • Bruno Smith - The Terrorists
  • Efstathios Chontopoulos - Odysseus of the North

  • Sarina Izmatea - No One Knows

The First Village
He does not wish to see me...

Mori counted the tally. "Masamune? Is something the matter?" The other boy shuffled his feet and fiddled with the flute in his hand, then nodded and stepped forward.
"It is something that I will have to tell you, without the others nearby," he said. A nod from Mori, who gestured for the others to stay in the main room while he and Masamune headed into another, passing by a window where the lycoris bloomed in the golden dawn. Once inside, the latter's usual smile faded. "Mori," he said, "do you remember when I first came to the village?"
"Of course I do."
"It was because your father sent me to watch over you." A beat as Masamune touched the wall, hiding his only eye from frame. "I suppose some part of him, much as he hated you and her, still felt paranoid. Well, woe be him. Seems you'll be knocking on his door any day now, demanding that he be a man for once in his life and face up to his mistakes... 'cept, he's not that sort of person, Mori. He would hate to see you. When he sent me away for this mission, he called you 'a disgraceful son that I ought to have never sired with that bygone courtesan.'" Masamune smirked. "I can see he's wrong, though..."

Mori gripped his blade. "Just like that... here for one day, gone for the rest of them, like he expects me to figure out my own life— my own fate, as just a kid with a down-on-her-luck mother who can barely take care of herself, let alone her son." In the nearby window, the wind ruffled the lycoris. "Just leaves her, forgets all about her, like he didn't just use her for his own whims. Maybe to him, she was just a toy for his fun, someone to take advantage of, but she's my mother— she's still a person. I don't get how someone like him could throw someone away. He didn't even send money to us— he used her like that, and now he has a whole army, and still he somehow can't be moved to help his own son and his own wife? He just comes in and uses people, and leaves without a second thought." He shook his head. "You and the other boys are lucky to have dads, someone to be your beacon of strength."
Mori breathed in. "Me? All I know is that he ran, Masamune. He can fight a battle, but he can't even look after a family— what kind of man is that? He doesn't want to see me? I swear, I'll make him see me, I'll make him realize that I'm his, whether he wants to or not, because what kind of parent just abandons their child like that? I know mom was never all that great, but at least she was there more than he was. At least at the end of the day, she loved me when almost everyone else called me an illegitimate son of an illegitimate Ronin." Masamune glanced to the side, uneasy. "I don't need apologies. I don't want pity... I don't expect much out of anyone, really, ever since you and the other boys and pretty much everyone in the village bullied me back then for how I couldn't speak, and for how my father ran away, how my mother used to be a courtesan."

"At the end of the day... I still want to make my own fate, because nobody else will be there for me. I'll be a better Ronin— a better man— a better person— than him. Even if I have to do it alone."
"No." Masamune put his hand on Mori's shoulder. "The rest of us will be with you 'till death. Maybe you don't believe us, but after everything that's happened, we do respect you now, Mori. Maybe you don't feel that way, maybe you don't trust us, but we'll prove it. But, I'll be honest, the path of a Ronin has never been easy. Maybe you'll make it, maybe not, but us lot will be with you the entire way, Mori. We won't just abandon you like him. We need more people like you. People who want to be heroes—"
"Maybe I will be a hero, maybe I won't be." Mori detached from Masamune, and looked out the window, staring at the blooming lycoris. "What is a hero, anyway?"
A beat. "That, I think, we'll find out together, but I think you're already halfway there; you've got the resolve to do whatever you please, and take it like a man. Guess you could be a villain or a hero."

"Whatever it is... I just hope it's not like him."

The Hotel
Eiko took a sip of matcha from his lacquer wood cup as he stared at the mirror, while behind him, his mother Tomoe put the bow onto his ponytail. "Eiko," she said, "you did take your medicine this morning, right? We can't be scaring anyone like last time, now. Don't you remember how much it hurt me and Park, hearing about that? It'd be just awful if it happened here."
"Yes, mother."
"Good, good." She pat his hair, smiling as she looked at the mirror. "You wouldn't want to hurt Lyosha, now, would you? Or Eve, or Minato, or Rainier..."
"Yes, mother."
"That's just lovely..."

He slipped on his outer kimono-jacket, but still his mother's gaze was affixed to the mirror as she stroked his ponytail. "When your mother and I were younger, I used to be so jealous of her hair..." She leaned in to whisper in his ear. "But I turned around, became better. She, though? She got into all those bad things. Promise me you won't do something like that, huh? You wouldn't want to break my heart."
"Yes, mother." His grip over his cup tightened.
"It's terrible what happened to her, but at the end of the day, she was beyond saving. Don't be like her, Eiko. We told her not to, that it was dangerous, but she still did it, and she had you... you know." She straightened out, smiling as she looked at the mirror and combed her own hair, while Eiko stared down at the cup of matcha green tea. "When that man found you in the alleyway and found us, I was considering just letting you get put into an orphanage, but I figured... why not? I should be a better person than her. It's a virtuous decision, Eiko. I saved you, don't you know?
"Yes, mother."

"Don't fall into her trap, Eiko. She wasn't willing to listen to our parents and me, and look where that ended for her." She smiled as she affixed some earrings. "Died all alone... do you know how lucky you are, Eiko? I could've just left you behind, but I wasn't willing to do that. See, I was better than her. At least you don't have to worry about me going missing, because I'll always be with you, Eiko. At least you didn't end up in a foster home, waking up every day bruised and broken. That would've been so sad, seeing you hurt that way, but I don't do that. I love you, Eiko. I love you very much, even if you don't feel like I do. Don't you know?"
"Yes, mother."
"Maybe I hurt you, sometimes, and I'm sorry for that. But it wasn't my fault. Sometimes, your mother comes through, Eiko, and I just get so angry and— oh! I just can't control myself." She wrapped her arms around his neck. "I'm so sorry, Eiko. Do you forgive me?"
"Yes, mother." She played with one of the asymmetrical cuts that framed his face.

"That's great. Always remember that I love you, Eiko."
"Yes, mother."
"I love you, that's why I saved you. That's why I protect you, that's why I told you not to tell others about what's wrong with you. You shouldn't scare people with that. Only I understand what you go through. I know Lyosha looks like he cares, but he won't. This is too much for him. Same with Park. They're amazing people, but you have me. You don't need them. You only need me. They can take care of the others, like Kasem. You have me."
"Yes, mother."
"You could've been left out there, like the worthless child that you were back then. But I saw something more in you. I hated your mother, but that doesn't mean I was going to abandon you." Eiko recalled what Moon Jongmin said so long ago, about him being worthless indeed. "But thank God you learned to act, right?"
"... yes, mother."

A pause. "Why the hesitation?"
"Mom taught me to act."
"Really? I guess she was good for something after all. Of course, abandoning her child, living the life she did... I think she was still largely awful, wouldn't you agree?" Nothing. "Eiko? Don't tell me you actually pitied her. Someone like her? Someone who ran away from home? Someone who just couldn't love you like a proper mother, like me? At least you've proven to be better than her. Your acting, how much you love me, and Ayame... keep at it. I know sometimes I hurt you, but I truly do love you, Eiko. It hurts me more."
Knock knock knock. "Hoi, you two, hurry up." It was Eve Amagi, the writer. "The party's getting started. Wouldn't want you two to miss out, so do hurry."
"Hold on please," Tomoe said. "Eiko needs to refill his tea." By the time she turned around, he had already refilled his cup.

The two headed down to the hotel lobby, where the others were waiting. Minato Suiseki was dressed just like her character, in a green kimono with red lycoris adorning it, messy and tattered, yet still proud, and she looked far more like a mother for Eiko versus Tomoe, who was in a more western-style dress. Rainer wore a Suzuraigan suit that resembled a Chinese one, and his beard and hair were neatly combed, with a few loose strands hanging over his face. Next to him was Lyosha in his usual attire: vast, flowing white coat, suspenders and a white shirt beneath that, and black pants, while his platinum-blonde hair gleamed in the hotel lobby light. Eve, meanwhile, had on a mix of fashion; an Illapa Katari-esque shawl from Jachali Tupa depicting some myth or another, a standard dress for her lower half, a yukata above that; indeed, Minato kept glancing at it, as though hoping that Eve wasn't going to seriously wear that.
"Ho, lovely to see you ready," Eve said as Eiko and his mother came close, the latter's hand squeezing her son's. "Thought something mighta happened, but it's good to know—"

"Oh, I was just taking time to talk to Eiko," Tomoe said. "Preparing him, and all."
"Preparing?" Lyosha glanced around. "I don't think Eiko of all people would be concerned about that."
"Oh, Lyosha." Tomoe smiled. "I just want to make sure he's in the best form possible. Isn't that right, Eiko?"
"Yes, mother." A beat. Rainer frowned. "He all right, there?" he asked. "He's looking a bit out of it. Won't do to have him up there if he's sick."
"I'm fine." His director remained frowning, then turned, leading their group to their transportation for the night. Why was his mother so exhausting to be around? She had to be right. She had to love him. If she didn't love him, she wasn't a true mother— that couldn't be right, could it? She had to love him. Why was that so hard for him to accept? Was he just being ungrateful? That must've been it. She loved her, like Eiko loved Ayame, and sought to protect her. He had to trust his mother. Maybe her methodology just felt strange. That had to be it.

Control yourself, Eiko. He whirled his head around upon hearing his father, and his mother's grip hardened as Lyosha turned to him. "Something wrong, Eiko?"
"Please, don't worry so much for him," Tomoe said. "I'll take care of him tonight."
"Mrs. Michori, I'm merely doing my duty as an Ezharan."
"I'm still his mother." Next to Eve, Minato bit her lip.
Eiko sipped his matcha, hoping that there would be hot water at the theater.

He felt that tonight would be a long night.

Grand Theater
The red carpet passed by unimpressively, thankfully with no confusion as to Tomoe's presence, which had, by far, been one of Rainer's concerns. Certainly, she was Eiko's mother, but Ezharan Talents and Idols alike, regardless of their age, were curiously sent with trusted adults more so than their parents. Perhaps there was concern over Eve, who was known for her eclectic rituals and inspirations? Even so, with Lyosha present, it would not have been a grave concern to any Ezharan observer, as the Idol was known for his compassion with the Talents, and was known as a big brother figure for many of them. Then there was whatever fiasco happened in The Freelands, at the beach...
After the red carpet, Minato sighed. "Thank god that's over."
"Still not used to it, are ya?" Rainer offered her a friendly smile. "Even after all this time..."
"You know it, Rainer. I've only ever wanted to perform, forget, perform again, forget again..."

Behind them were Eve and Lyosha, paired only since Tomoe had insisted on accompanying her son. Questions were asked for Eve, of course, but with her erratic personality, Lyosha's tempered calm helped to keep her on track and avoid ranting about this or that bizarre religious ceremony or tradition. Compared to her other projects, — Soris Datae — was at least linear and made sense, especially since she was working with Eiko, who she thought would shine in writing heavily focused on him, rather than her beloved symbolism. Still, she still took upon her mantle of "half a director." She did not operate the camera, but she still managed to have a phenomenal eye for detail. Every frame had to be perfect, integrate every detail, right down to the minutiae of flowers and knickknacks, and it frequently took Rainer's pushing around to force her to relent.

Finally, there was Eiko; his mother allowed him to speak freely. Questions abounded of his work schedule, the rumors of Ame to Vira that Lyosha was quick to shut down, how he could be such a phenomenal actor despite his young age, how he managed to improvise so many beautiful speeches. To the last of the question types, he shrugged. He really didn't know. To him, words poured out of his mouth, onto the blank page that he called a theater: less acting, more being honest. Every tear, every laugh, that was how he felt. Oh, and yes, most of the stunts in the battle scenes were his. The CGI was only for the lycoris, and he was disappointed that he couldn't actually have practical effect lycoris blowing around him. It didn't feel real enough without it actually flying around him.

Soon enough, the Ezharans had taken their seats.

Silvedania wrote:Conan: What goes on behind the cover...

Rainer smirked at best cover. "Never would've thought that old thing would win anything, but here we are," he said.
"Considering how it spoils nearly the entire plot," Eve said, "I'm inclined to agree, but I suppose seeing such a lonely boy, standing there, in front of a grave to some unknown, fist clenched as though promising that he would not falter ever again... it stirs one's soul, does it not?" Minato nodded, and Eiko stared ahead at the screen, unmoving, with Tomoe's hand over his. Lyosha glanced at him. "Eiko, you good?"
"Please, don't mind him, Lyosha," his mother said.
"Eiko?"
"I'm fine." His response was monotonous, robotic.

Silvedania wrote:Ishaan: Without the directors...

Rainer frowned and turned towards Eve. "Woman, whateva ritual you did before all this, you got us the wrong nomination," he said, laughing at his own misfortune. "But hey. That design was rigged up in a couple of minutes by an intern after the last one got trashed. Guess I'll be seein' her again for my next project, 'cept as a poster designer." Eve folded her arms and turned away. "Oi, Eve, I can see your smirk."
She turned back with a roll of her eyes. "The best that I can offer for us is good fortune. The rest..." A beat. "Fertility, good harvest, good weather. love... there's none for specifically the director award, Rainer."
"Why don't ya make one, then?" He took a sip out of his glass of champagne.
"Come now, such rituals can not be done for such trifling matters."

Silvedania wrote:Cracy: Thank you, Elon...

At Cracy's behavior, a dark mood set upon the Ezharans, one teetering between compassion and displeasure, but Eiko seemed pained especially, as though Cracy's begging reminded him of something far, far too familiar. "What in God's good name was up with him?" Rainer said, nearly rising out of his seat before Lyosha glared him down. "Oh, and congratulations, Eve. Knew you'd get something fancy for your phenomenal work. Here's to more projects together, eh?" The other Ezharans followed with their own congratulations, and Eve shrank in her seat. "Come on, Eve." Minato patted her writer's shoulder. "No need to be so embarrassed. I know I'm one to talk, but..."
"No, no, I'm just thinking, with Eiko..." She smiled as she brushed aside her hair. "With Eiko, I'm not sure if that's so deserving. Everything he said sounded like it came from his heart. Perhaps I wrote it, but it still felt like it was his own voice, his own past, that made every word echo beyond what I could possibly make." The boy nodded.
"Thank you for that, Ms. Eve," he said. "But... don't be so hard on yourself. I need words to say. You gave me that chance."

Let it out, Eiko... He could feel his true mother embracing him, warming him, but Tomoe's hand gripped his, set him down.
"Well, in that case," Eve said, "you're welcome. Now, I'll need to find all those writers. They all sound fascinating — I'll really need to figure them inside out and upside down."
"Always wand'ring like that, Eve," Rainer said.
"The intermingling of cultures, of open minds, can help produce vast beauty, director. You of all people should know this."

Silvedania wrote:Ava-Rose: Hello my name is Ava-Rose...

"No children's films?" Minato said. "That's a shame. Rainer, perhaps you should've spoken to some colleagues."
"And destroy the competition? No way." Rainer chuckled to himself. "I'm joking, of course. but maybe someone like Nova would've suggested one of his superhero shorts. I think something like that would've been a nice palate cleanser for all the adult-centered dramas we'll be seein'."
"Isn't ours sort of kids' media?" Lyosha asked. "Most of the critics I've seen have called it... shonei?"
"Shonhai, Lyosha," Rainer said. "And yes, it is sort of that. Except if you blended it with some squid ink and charcoal to create, well, that."

Silvedania wrote:Danni: All the other presenters...

Only a slight smile came over Eiko as he heard his nomination; he seemed to be elsewhere, but the quiet "good job" from his mother snapped him back to reality. "As expected," Eve said. "With the work he put into it, I'd hope he'd be recognized, at least. Gods willing, he'll win it." Minato smiled, one that could only be smiled by a mother seeing her child achieve lofty goals, but otherwise, she remained silent.
"I don't need it," Eiko said. "I'm just... happy to perform at all. Maybe mom'll want it." At that, Tomoe remained silent, but squeezed his hand.
I'm so proud of you Eiko... A great heartache squeezed his chest as his mother's voice echoed in his mind, and he bent his head down, trying to hide his face as he stared into his cup of matcha green tea. To cry, here, when there was no story to be told— why even bother letting tears fall?

Lyosha leaned in. "Eiko?"
Tomoe interjected. "I'll handle this." And she squeezed his hand, leaning in close. "Don't make anyone panic, please. I know it hurts, but please, it hurts me more. Please, don't disappoint your mother." All he could manage was a nod, and Tomoe frowned. "Do you want us to leave for a moment?" He shook his head no, and Tomoe pulled away, frowning. Rainer gave a concerned thumbs up in his direction, and she nodded while Lyosha shook his head no.
"If Eiko has any problems, I'll cover for us," Rainer said. "If he's got trouble—"
"He doesn't." Tomoe glared back at the director.

"You don't know what he's thinking."
"Of course I do, I'm his moth—"
"Quiet." Minato gestured for both of them to sit down, her eyebrows knitted in concern. "Tomoe, stop speaking for Eiko. He's fourteen. I'm sure he can say what he's thinking."
"He has trouble with that, actually," Tomoe said. "It's better if I he—" Her counterpart's worry shifted to a glare.

Silvedania wrote:Monika: Uh wow...

Minato breathed a sigh of relief, then gave a nervous shrug. "Hey, don't mind 'em, Minato," Rainer said. "You did good for us."
"Truth be told, I'm fine not being nominated. Just means I don't have to get up there and give a speech or anything. I'm just... too normal for anything like that. Besides, my role was pretty minor. I'm sure the nominees deserve it."
"Normal's never been bad," Eve said. "And minor? Maybe you didn't have all that many lines, but you still held immense gravitas as Mori's mother. I'll make it up to you, if we ever collaborate again."
"Oh, no need, no need. Make it fair. I'm good enough, someone else should have their limelight." She smiled.

A huge limousine comes near the main hall."Sorry,we are a bit late" said Bruno Smith as he got down from the limo.A crowd of paparazzi surround him, clciking as many pictures as they can.He also poses in the most masculine way possible. The next person to come out of the limo is the beautiful Margot Watson, who is the main actress of the film 'The Terrorist'.She looks stunning in her new red gown. Then the other actors follow. The last one to get down is the director,Carol Stevenson OM.HE might be a legend in his field and one of the greatest directors of all time,an Oscar winner, but he is a very reserved man.He tries his best to avoid the paparazzi and almost runs inside the Grand Theatre, with the actors following him.

"Wait, I didn't got nominated?"
"Nah, but I did, Mrcel, ain't that great?"
"And also... who designed the movie poster again?"
"Wasn't it the intern? How was he called.... Mar... Car..."
"Marco, his name was Marco Sharko."
"Oh right, Marco. Kinda weird though"
"But see? I told you I am the next Claudio Fragrasso!"
"Oh come on Mrcel, just don't worry about it."
The two figures were sitting in a comfy chair for the remainder of the night.

''Psst , Seregey Im heading to the toilet , if they nomintae us or you need anything , find me and tell me.''

''Ok director.''

''Im comin with you just incase the paparazzi block your way..'' Said Assad

''Thanks.''

Both Assad and Dannial got up and walked though the theater hallway and to the toilet , only to be founded by the paparazzi and many of them asked him so much questioon. Assad was trying to make way for Dannial to the toilet as he try to block the paparazzi , Dannial was able to run to the toilet while Assad was left to answer the questions...

Nominees for Best Documentary

Postby Silvedania » Thu Nov 26, 2020 6:11 am

Yaseen: This was a surprise category. The academy wasn't expecting this category. But since there were enough documentaries entered in, we included it anyways. This is what happens when we respond in numbers.
Here are the nominees for best documentary:
  • Fighting for Freedom
  • The Bonamulle Bombing

Here is Chelsea Francis with the nominees for best film.

Nominees for Best Film

Postby Silvedania » Thu Nov 26, 2020 6:13 am

Chelsea: Thanks. Actually, at the Academy, we couldn't decide! We just couldn't decide which film was the best. SO, all the films are nominated tonight! Wahoey!

OOC: Voting in this category will be different, as you will not be able to vote for your own film.

Morris was disappointed that the Voxijan movies were only nominated for two categories. Although since Intergalactic Shipping Company was the only film in its category, it made sense that they didn't want to be seen as giving favor to Voxijan films. The rest of the Inetxaga family seemed happy with the decisions, though, so it was fine.

Khalziqi and Sa'adi. Two North Alezian Actors in Actopolis

Postby North Alezia » Thu Nov 26, 2020 3:03 pm

(A Limousine arrived at the venue with a small North Alezian flag put on the top of the hood thingy I forgot what that is. Two people stepped down from the limo and met with camera clicking and flash lighting)
Khalziqi: Ahh... Actopolis. Really a place where we enjoy movies and win on them.
Sa'adi: Yeah, I agree. Even though we actually played in the North Alezian entry as main actors, still, I don't see any paparazzis lurking around us...Only official media or something
Khalziqi: One, I don't think we're famous enough for Paparazzis. The paparazzis that we're going to see are those from ABA and Channel 5 or something. Maybe some international ones, but let's not hope too much. Two, Paparazzis are very creepy in my opinion.
Sa'adi: Touche, my friend. By the way, my eyes hurt a little bit due to the light there.
Khalziqi: Actually me too, We only got to experience this back in the National Film Festival back in Zafi.
Sa'adi: Let's get in.

(They're met with the director and writer of their movie)

Khelshina: Ah! You're here! Thank goodness. I thought you're not going to make it on time...
Khalziqi: Thank you. It's pretty crowded around here.
Darurrahman: Of course it's going to be crowded. There's a lot of people competing, or just enjoying some movies.
Khelshina: True... Now quick. We're going to go into the nomination hall or something like that, sorry I don't really read the whole thing piece by piece.

(The North Alezians sit on their seats)

(The nominations are continued to be read... One by one....)

(The North Alezians exited the room)

Darurrahman: WE ACTUALLY GOT TWO NOMINATIONS! THAT'S A RECORD! We're literally the first North Alezian team to get nominations EVER! I'm so proud of you guys... I can't believe it
Khalziqi: And Ms. Sa'adi here got one of the two. Great job, I know that "Sitting outside in the middle of the snow crying" is a good scene!
Sa'adi: Thank you... I still can't believe I got nominated. Really. There's a lot of great actress here... By the way, they misspelt my name. I'm Namirah Sa'adi, not Narina Sa'adi... Mistakes do happen, so it's fine.
Khelsina: Anyway, Make sure we return to the hotel first before celebrating the North Alezian way (jumping and holding hands like kids). Anyway, great job everyone!
Khalziqi: I still want to walk around...
Darurrahman: Actually, we can't just go back yet. We can do meetings and stuff. Well, Team Shamal, Let's move!

The Koskinen's Later Arrival

Postby Republic of Pine » Mon Nov 30, 2020 1:04 pm

An older, unremarkable Rolls-Royce limousine pulls up outside the entrance of the Four Seasons Hotel.

A chauffeur opens a door and Sava Nikifor Koskinen emerges from of the rear of the car. Her red-brown hair shines, pulled tight to the back, a dignified silver streak running from above her right temple. Her modest gown is made of seemingly heavy cloth, a necklace of large polished quartz gems shines brilliantly, a blue and gold sash runs across from her left shoulder and pinned to it a medal awarded for the highest achievements in the arts by the government of Bosnia and Herzegovina, her home country. She stands tall, smiling brightly, saying nothing, waving once to the small contingency of press gathered to document their arrival before turning back to the open car door and extending an arm inside.

With help from his wife, Ruzha Koskinen emerges. Wearing a white suit made from similar cloth, a red velvet bow tie and a small ROP flag on his lapel his only decoration. He stands erect, clutching tightly to his wife's arm, and places a hat on his head covering his greying unkempt hair. He is slightly shorter than Sava, but the broad Panama hat gives him the appearance of greater height. Ruzha staring aloft through impossibly dark glasses assembles a collapsible cane, sweeping it in front of him and guided by Sava, he approaches the reporters. Questions are being directed towards the couple as several Piner youths clamber for autographs.

A reporter for the ROP News Service is acknowledged, “Mr. Koskinen, why the later arrival to the event?”

Ruzha looks uncomfortable; embarrassed by the attention being directed towards him, the loud environment is confusing, disorienting. He shifts slightly, pulling a handkerchief from his breast pocket and holding it up to his mouth to cough. Sava places a gentle hand on his chest, pressing softly, Ruzha relaxes. Sava turns towards the reporter speaking loudly above the commotion in her pan-european accent,

“To be honest we had not initially planned on attending the festival. The nomination came as a complete surprise to us, what an incredible honor! Our arrangements were last minute and travel in the ROP is notoriously chaotic this time of year, we had difficulties from the onset. We owe our our sincerest apologies to the Director of the Actopolis Festival, who has been incredibly gracious and understanding, as were the Silvedania officials.”

More questions are asked in rapid succession as the flash of cameras reflect brightly of Ruzha’s glasses, he clears his throat and chimes in with a gravelly trailing voice,

“YES, yes, better late than never, no? We are most honored to be here, and I, I am proud. This may be the proudest moment of my cinematic career, to be nominated for Best Writhing for this screenplay, my first, and co-written with Sava, well, there was no way we wouldn’t be here! A great occasion for us, and a great occasion for Piner Cinema!”

A tall slender woman with round glasses towards the rear of the group, a head above the other reporters, waves a pen in the air while clutching her notebook. “A question please, Mr. Koskinen! What does this movie itself, your first project since the accident that took your vision and ended your directing career, mean to you personally?”

“I can honestly say, yes honestly, that this is the greatest artistic work of my life. The movies I directed before, they were not so special, but this, co-writing ‘The Feast’, is so far my favorite personal accomplishment-”

“And mine as well, darling” Sava speaks into Ruzha’s ear. “Thank you all, we really must be going, late as we are. Thank you!”

The couple proceeds forward past the growing crowd, greeted by the hotel concierge, they enter the hotel disappearing off the street. Sava is annoyed, their luggage will not arrive for another two days, and Ruzha will not care in the least.

Silvedania, the majestic nation.
NS Stats are mostly accurate except for a few things, like this nation is capitalist and the death penalty isn't in effect

News:All trade with Crabaiaia and Pikala has stopped as diplomats meet in Trenaka. Silvedanians are confused by Quentin Tarantulatino's new film, Seasonal Snackbox(This is a Bojack Horseman reference.) Weird song goes viral for making no sense.
