Ibican Military officers set out to meet local leaders at the other 4 cities in our claims, repeating our offers of security and improvement to their infrastructure and healthcare. The first civilian ships arrive in Maurau, at a dock fashioned by the military out of pontoons. The ships carry the first contractors, from Ibican construction companies. Their current contracts to build first a modern port for Maurau, for bulk, ro/ro, and containerized traffic, then build a better bridge across the Maurau River to where Joint Base Maurau is. Then to build a real base, as JB Maurau is currently just an assortment of tents and a dirt runway. Also on the ships are representatives from Ibican companies looking to invest in the new territory. Representatives from Albion Oil secure land for oil storage and for new gas stations around Maurau. The Bank of Ibica reaches an agreement with locals to open a branch in one of the town's tallest buildings (only 4 stories), in addition to their 2 planned locations in JB Maurau. The first military convoys set off down the roads out of town to find and eradicate the criminal elements the locals are concerned about.

Langenian forces have negotiated with locals. The locals have allowed Langenian troops on their soil for their security. In return, Langenia will improve their infrastructure and healthcare.

The troops meeting with natives in Azahna were talking with the natives. The natives had been proposing an alliance when suddenly a group of natives attacked. The sides exchanged fire until they could escape. The Native allies loss men and of the 4-men fire team, only a man survived.

"That's it everybody evacuate" yell biertsan as he goes on the ship bring out machine guns and shooting at anyone he sees, it seems the first colony was a failure and the people retreated back to homeland. However the High prince told them to send a another ship and to be more peaceful. Another ship comes in with 300 people...

Ibica has been lucky so far, as the one town they have been to so far welcomed them, but he worried about what was to come. The convey that headed out of Maurau to the north hadn't radioed in for awhile. "They're probably just out of range, it's a dense jungle," he told himself.

20 miles north, the convoy hadn't encountered much at all, but that would soon change. Up ahead, the leading APC saw a few wrecked out vehicles ahead. This must be one of the road blocks the locals had told them about, where bandits would rob traders moving between the towns. The vehicles rolled to a stop, and the Marines climbed out, their M16s trained on the blockage and scanning the tree line on each side of the road. "I have a bad feeling about this..." one Marine trailed off. The convey carried a Marine Company of 85 soldiers. All of them waiting for what they all felt was coming.

"No, we're alone out here." 1st Lieutenant Merritt Bateson replied before walking forward. "Hold fire boys!" Bateson walked close enough to the locals to more easily communicate. "We stopped, but we do intend on eventually making it up to Toules. I'm 1st Lieutenant Bateson, these are my men. I take it you weren't expecting us."
