What was your nation's role in World WAR I & II?

So I was wondering what was everybody's nation's roles in both world wars, were you on the axis, the allies, neutral, or something different?? Our nation was on the axis as they tried to expand and the current king of Witiland had German blood and supported the Germans. While in this timeline the axis still loses, Witiland gains lots of land and gets to keep it. The world wars also allowed Witiland to become a powerful force on their continent and increase their sphere of influence.

Anyways, the Democratic Republic participated in WWI on the side of the Allies, joining the war in 1915. This proved controversial as many Gandoorese considered the war to be a European affair of no concern to Gandoor. Because of this, our government declared itself neutral in all future foreign wars in 1922, which later became enshrined as the First Amendment to the Constitution of Gandoor in 1925. Due to our neutrality, we did not participate in WWII nor were there any concerns that we would be dragged into the war, as a treaty was signed between our nation and the Japanese Empire wherein the Japanese declared their formal recognition of our stance of neutrality and that no military aggressions by the Japan against the Democratic Republic or its citizens would occur.

We had a aliance with England since 1705 and We had strong French investments since the XIXth century. Also We had had colonial tensions with Germany.

We sent troops to France and Italy We were almost pulled out from the War due to unrest in 1917. As result of it We approved the 8 hour working day in 1919. We got some increase of our colonies and We Got South American German owned assets. We suffered political instability in the 1920s and 30s. The Monarchy flirted with facism and there was a Short lived dictatorship 1923-1926 that fell to a Republican democratic coup.
We rearmed in the 30s We had a relatively large navy and modern navy. Because We knew the Italian expansionist intentions in the Balearics and We were concerned with Japanese agressive expansionism. And, the armed (prorepublican) neutrality in the Spanish Civil war. When war started in 1939 We were ill prepared in spite of rearming. We sent another force to France and We took part in the Norwegian campaign. Of forces were destroyed in France. We lost most our heavy equipment in Dunkirk and the fighting withdrawal along the French army.
Some Squadrons evacuated to the UK fought in the BoB. In winter our country defenses were smashed in winter 1940-1941. The axis restored the monarchy and imposed a proaxis collaborationist regime. Catalan forces were sent to eastfront along the Wehrmatch. A resistance started. While part of the evacuated forces remained loyal to the Government in exile. And, started a struggle for the colonies between the GiE and the Royalists. Free Catalan Navy served together the Royal Navy during the war. Our Air forces and Army were rebuilt and reequiped by the British and We received Lend and Lease aid.
In 1942 our Asian colonies were ocupied by Japan and most of our Asian squadron destroyed in early 1942.
In late 1942 the Balearics were freed and become a base for the allies. Free Catalan forces clashed with the collaborationist ones. Our forces fought attached to the British 8th army in Italy. In 1944 our forces took part in the Provence landings and our country liberation. In spite the reconstruction of our army We only had the 1st Armored division attached to the 1st Free French Army. As a civil war erupted in our country in 1944 autumn. Our rebuilt Naval forces and Marines made a landing in the our Pacific colonies as diversion for the Borneo Landings.

WWI didn't happen in our timeline (well, it did, back in the mid/late 19th century and was a completely different war to IRL WWI^) but WWII happened at more or less the same time (and more or less the same way)

We were neutral during both wars, like Switzerland (In fact, Switzerland is the only nation we have a formal alliance with), but unlike Switzerland we did not trade with the Axis Powers

^I haven't written out my nation's timeline, and I'm probably not going to, but basically the industrial revolution started a little under a century sooner then RL, so technologically things are about 50ish years ahead on average, this changes a lot and I'm not gonna bother making an entire alternate history, but assume that big events are relatively unchanged unless otherwise stated

Angevinia-Europa successfully established hegemony over Europe and directly controls all of Great Britain, Ireland, Iberia, France, Germany, and much of Scandinavia. She has friendly relations with the Russian Empire, the only other continental power. This period of history is known as Pax Angevinia, and there has been no conflict in Europe for the entirety of the reign of HM Emperor Matthias IV. World Wars are not a possibility at the moment.

In WWI, Trenaka was neutral, but sent some monetary and food aid to the Central Powers.

In WWII, Trenaka was part of Germany after being invaded in 1938, but was liberated in November 1945.

Our nation had limited participation in World War I, while we did declare war on the Central Powers in 1914, our small population and military size meant that Aikolandais forces only saw limited engagement during the conflict.

During World War II, our nation was invaded by and fell to Italian forces in 1940. Despite our nation falling to Italy, Aikoland was instead annexed and was governed as part of the nominally-independent Vichy French regime, with His Majesty Emperor Henri VIII, the Royal Family, and several high-ranking members of the Aikolandais Government managing to escape to London where they formed the Aikolandais Government-in-Exile.

We lacked a major organised resistance movement against the occupying forces due to our small population at the time (our 1940 population was only 2.9 million), with most resistance consisting of espionage and sabotage. What was more common was passive non-cooperation and the continued usage of Aikolandais symbolism in response to the forcing of French symbolism on our nation and people.

We were liberated from Axis control in 1944 and Prime Minister Justin LaRue announced that until he, the rest of the Government-in-Exile, the Emperor, and the Royal Family were able to return from London, then Deputy Prime Minister Émile Rochefort (who remained in Aikoland after its fall) would serve as acting-Prime Minister and was ordered to cooperate fully with the Allied authorities.

The Royal Family and Government-in-Exile were able to return to Aikoland after the end of WWII on 3 June 1945, a date that is now recognised as Restoration of Sovereignty Day in our nation.

Thermodolia did not participate in WW1 with the government considering it to be a European affair. That being said we did engage a few forces under Operation Pronghorn in which we defended our nation and our waters from both allied and central powers incursions.

Two battles occurred while Operation Pronghorn was in effect, the Battle of Socotra and the Battle of Zanzibar.

In the battle of Socotra the costal artillery fired warning shots at a British naval patrol that had entered our waters, the British respected our neutrality and left the region without incident.

However in the battle of Zanzibar the German flotilla which was attempting to escape Africa at the time refused to heed the warning shots and continued to enter our waters. The in the resulting naval battle the Germans lost four ships while we lost two. Tensions where extremely high with the German high command worried about Thermodolia entering on the side of the allies. To the disappointment of the British and French, Thermodolia decided to remain neutral for the rest of the war.

WW2 for Thermodolia started early after the Marco Polo Bridge incident. Thermodolia had been guaranteeing the independence of China at the time and when the Japanese invaded China, Thermodolia declared war on Japan. Most of the fighting that Thermodolia was involved in during WW2 happened in the pacific theater with a few battalions and aircraft wings being sent to the Soviet Union after it was invaded. After the USSR was invaded Thermodolia declared war on all other axis powers. During the war Thermodolia was invaded by Japan with many Island territories of Thermodolia and small parts of the mainland being under Japanese occupation. This would later lead to Thermodolia enacting harsh reprisals in areas it would occupy after the war

After the war Thermodolia would help with the occupation of Japan and the occupation of Isla de Flores, who at the time was a Japanese ally, the Thermodolians would continue to butt heads with the Americans over how the Japanese should be treated. The Thermodolia position at the time was that Japan was to be broken up and the monarchy, military, and any thing else that would have led to aggression to be removed.

as for WW2, we weren't as a sovereign nation at the time due to the US annexing us for economic reasons in 1933

In the First World War Graccia was under the rule of Ottoman Empire and Graccia fought alongside with Central Powers. More then 2,400,000 Graccians were involved, some experts say that 3 million. Most of them fought in the Caucasus and Africa. Critics also charge Graccia of taking part in Armenian genocide. Graccia denies this, the only thing that they did against Armenians was the killings of Dashnaks.

Graccia was neutral in the Second World War, but we did take 800,000+ Jews during the holocaust, more then 8,283,000 Jews live alongside with 234,270,000 Muslims today. The Prime Minister wanted to join the Allies but the King of Graccia didn’t make him do it. He claimed that it would lead into the deaths of millions Graccian citizens.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Synnia wasn't really around during either of the great wars.

But that doesn't mean it wasn't involved.
Synnia didn't exist until the mid 60s. Synne Industries existed since the early 1900s. The component corporations of modern Synnia have been around for much longer than the latter two. Synne Industries may have not built arms and aircraft for the United States during World War I but its component corporations sure did. Synnia wasn't around for World War II but Synne Industries was and made, as people like to call it, "mad stacks" from arms manufacture.

The Japanese Empire annexed united Octocratiera during the 19th century and after World War 2, the Americans occupied the north & the British occupied the South until late 1940s when the Octocratieran Repubic was established and then somewhere in the 50s, The country was split into two countries as what we know today as the Federal Republic of North Octocratiera & the Kingdom of South Octocratiera. The answer to this question is rather complicated, as it would be similar to asking the Soviet Union on whether they fought Napoleon. The previous state in control of the territories of Engadine Mcdonalds 1997, Bruzistan, took arms with the Axis powers, as our strategic position in the South-west pacific would have allowed many Japanese and German naval vessels to efficiently strike against the allied powers, and the leader of the time, Brouh Joulky-Alderson, held views that even at the time were considered to be extremely similar to the likes of Benito Mussolini and Adolf Hitler.

Today however, we use this dark period of our nation's history as a time to always be vigilant against the fascists across the globe, and a week of mourning for those who perished in the pogroms and anti-socialist repressions so that we may never forget

Little as We were neutral in both WWs.

In the great war. Most Valencians that served in the Great war. Served as volunteers in the French Foreign Legion. Our merchant marine suffered due German submarines.
In the end We severed our diplomatic links with the Central powers and We entered the war. Because our military being small and ill prepared We sent an small force that suffered important casualties during the 1918 German spring offensives.

In WW2 We tried to keep neutral. With the Germans arriving to our border. And our sea trade attacked by warring submarines. We were doing balances. Some diplomats helped escaping Jews to enter our country or escaping allied Pows, also we sold raw materials and oil to Germany. But We didn't officially enter in war until 1945 in the allied side.

First Altropian War, (1918-1925): Arpasia along with Gallais is invaded by Duzlant, but due to the rugged terrain of Northeastern mainland Arpasia, Duzlanter troops cannot proceed further. Post war losses include 3 former regions now part of Duzlant and Gallais.

Second Altropian War (1945-1950): Shortly after the fall of Zatówa and the annexation of eastern Belgravia, Duzlant again invades Arpasia, but this time, the Duzlanter army is successful in crossing the terrain of the Arpasian borderlands and successfully capture Philippeaux, Arpasia is put under a puppet regime by Duzlant. 4 years after the fall of Philippeaux, Occidentian and Esterish troops land in Arpasian and Gallish shores, within 3 weeks of the landings, Philippeaux is liberated, while the rest of mainland Arpasian territory is liberated in 1946.
