NSSCRA 10- Everything Thread (IC)

Postby Newmanistan » Tue Nov 17, 2020 7:29 am

Welcome to the 10th season of NSSCRA!

For the first time, we are going to attempt to run two different series. The main series and the second tier series. The main series will be scorinated in the manner in which you are accustomed too, or in the same way that seasons 6-9 have been. The second series has all drivers, regardless of their nation, start with a skill level of zero. This puts all nations on a level playing period to begin with for that series. The second tier series only has one scorination of data, there are not five segments that are averaged.

Every "race weekend" will have two days in which information is scorinated. Day 1 will be the qualifying for the main series and the official race results (with qualifying) for the second tier series. Day 2 will be the day in which main series results are scorinated. Day 2 will be the only day where there is an official RP cutoff. Day 1 will not have an official cutoff for RP as the results will be posted at a time similar to what cutoff time typically is, but will be done without a cutoff associated with it.

Ex: In the main series, a race's information reads like this:
Exhibition- (Nov. 24/25)- Exhibition at The Proving Grounds Presented by Rocket Automotive

This means that the cutoff date for this race is Nov. 25.
On Nov. 24, qualifying for this race will be posted without a cutoff. It will also be the day that the corresponding second tier series race has it's results posted (as long as with the qualifying).

The first four posts in this thread will be informational.
Post 1 (this post)- contains the information you are reading now.
Post 2 will contain the schedule
Post 3 will contain links to nation's driver and track signup and/or any car images that they post during the year in the RP thread.
Post 4 will contain the list of winners during the season and up to date point standings for each series.

-- Dates are extremely tentative, but through the end of 2020 are likely to remain in tact. Off day periods will be added at several points in 2021, depending on factors including RL issues for myself and what else is going on in the forum. World Cup fans, don't worry, off days will be added once we know what is going on there.

-- Cutoff time is 9:00 PM (Eastern USA time) SHARP!!!! You are forewarned now about this. If it's 8:59, and you are typing, I highly advise clicking submit. (as some of you have gotten very good in doing :) )
-- If you are new, be advised that it typically takes an hour or so after I cutoff before the results get posted, due to all the spreadsheet work that is required.

Post 1 – The Valentians are back in Town.

Another year would have passed, and it was once again time for the Valentians to do their debut in the world of NSSCRA. Third season for them, they thought to themselves. They have certainly grew on the races that they have went through, as well as interacting with the many colourful drivers around them.

Image
An experienced driver for the Valentian team at this point, Exuberant Superintendent T-2000/2904-3 Surveillant Clarissa Alanis Star Breya « La Amoureux Chéri » Millie Taissa Butterfly Mélody Coraline Jolijn Trini Clementine Hollie Samantha Zeta Harumi brings her usual joy and cheerful nature to the new season of NSSCRA. Carefree, and most of the time happy just to race a car, Clarissa indeed can get distressed and annoyed when she was constantly gossiped about how she was doing poorly just because of her nature. Despite the number of setbacks and scrutiny of her being a robot, Clarissa has proven time and time again that she can indeed a vehicle amongst the other drivers, getting quite a number of good finishes for the previous seasons, even from her very first season.

Clarissa drives her trademark #7, armed to the teeth with sensors and top-of-the-line computers (coupled with intense cooling systems) that helps aid her with the vast amount of data that she uses to the fullest advantage. The vehicle is partially sponsored by Lhotse Love, which eventually sees quite a handful of branches being opened up in Valentine Z due to the relatively healthy nature of it, as well as the great taste.

Image
One of the newer faces of the Valentian drivers, Anastasia “De Sierlijke en Vrij High Valkyrie ov Valentine Z” Freya Valentina Ada. Jolin Annelijn Caitlin Trijntje Crystal Clarice Constance Judy Voi. D. Nexitros Annile Teresa Thida Myat Yadana Aye drives the #15 that once used to be of Jolyn Helen Ceeta’s. While she too is a fair and overall a nice woman with cool composure, the pressure and adrenaline of the race can drive her to be much more competitive than her peers. She also does have rare moments whereby she will go absolutely berserk when someone did her dirty (unintentionally or otherwise), as Tyler Linde unfortunately found out. When asked for comments, Valentina does indeed talked about her regret and remorse for going off in such a fiery rage, citing that she was never this angry anywhere else for a long time, and this was one of the only times where she got into such a rage. It was further contributed by the overly heavy amounts of adrenaline, which Lead Ambassador Germaine Athena “Mercy De Herzhafter Schutzengel” Sylvi Angelina Zoe Sophia Jen Alanna Rx J. Hailie Ziegler Halls Constance Pauletta Ginevra Lola Lauran Ambra Tschanz remarked that no one should not give her a stim pack, or at least to do it when she is away from everyone else.

She hopes to at least do her very best just like the many other racers, citing that with a particular driver not around, this just might go rather well without rivalry or heat from anyone else. Valentina’s #15 has no sponsors from anyone else but Valentine Z.

Image
With her ever-cheerful smile coupled with the bright blue-and-green paint scheme of the car that stands out amongst the rest, Chief Aviator Gwen Tracer Hepburn “Fate of Existence and the Omniverse” Ellen Trixie Caitlin Foxworthy Avril Verlene Eveline Celinda Sammy Doris T-Rev Oxton Arielle Lindall Leslie Vitesse Allison has gained a reputation in the fields for being one of the fastest – from having to chase for qualifications in NSSCRA 8, to her victory in the very first race in NSSCRA 9. Taking defeat in stride, Gwen is cited to be even more relaxed than Clarissa, especially since the latter is still unfortunately prone to awful remarks regarding robots. Starring in a video game featuring herself, along with many Fately adventures (and misadventures), Gwen is once again ready and excited for NSSCRA 10.

“Always bet on the Fate,” she remarks, wishing all the drivers around her good luck as she poses in front of a house in her normal size.

Post 1 – Nature vs. Machine.

Image
Taking the world of Valentine Z by surprise, Holly Aceline “De Stralend en Wonderbaarlijk Licht Koningin Van Haar Mooie Universum” Aurora Symantha Vreugde Astrid Lavender Lexis Lilac Harmony Tsi. Marlie Nova Radiant Lapia Starlight has decided that she wanted in for the latest season of NSSCRA. Many were unsure on what exactly made her wanting to go for a race, since it would seem that her very nature and attitude of it all would be totally against motorsports. She has disclosed a little bit about her motive, citing that it was not out of malice or anything bad. Rather, coming out of her naturally shy self, Holly wanted a thrill of a race, since she was more or less known to travel around her world at lightspeed. She was under the watchful eyes of the Valentians, not to control her, but out of request from herself, stating that the world is perhaps not too ready to know about her true nature, other than that she is completely made out of lights, cold ones at that.

She will be racing in her #55 without any indication of sponsors, other than the tires and the vehicle itself. The vehicle is cooled down by a mysterious method that Holly utilizes.

Image
Accompanying her light-based friend on top of re-entering the world of motorsports, Vice Foresittend Jolyn Maxine Caulfield Moira “Неуловимая, Женщина-шпион” Marlene Wendy Lucille Lapis Jill Khorosheva Vin. Zolina łnt. Natasha Vasilisa Helen Ceeta Tescelyn Maximovna would effectively be the fifth driver for the first tier set of NSSCRA 10, her confidence reignited. Used to be in NSSCRA 8, on top of racing for WGP2, she figured that she would take a time off given the several DNFs that she has gotten herself for the latter, as well as dying in NSSCRA 8 and to her realisation, learning that the faked funeral was perhaps not the best thing to go about with how she has “died”. In remorse of the stunt and admitting that it was indeed in bad taste, Jolyn was once again ready to tear through the tracks with her newly commissioned #76, though she would be initially taking the Qualifications method to get in so as to balance the time between her motorsports career and her teaching one.

Welcome everyone to the 10th edition of the NationStates Stock Car Racing Association. We are delighted to have had so much interest in the series especially over the last four completed seasons, and we are confident that this will continue this year. Due to the success of the series, and the continued interest we have in it, we have decided to institute a secondary series. For the most part, the feedback has been positive for us to this, and we hope that it is successful. However, this secondary series needs a name.

This is where you, or perhaps your loyal companies come in. From now until the running of the exhibition races, we will be taking bids from companies that would like to have naming rights to this series. If interested, companies should provide information about themselves, particularly in regards to their support of motorsports, but all information is helpful. More then likely, the more information submitted, the better. It will be a tough decision, we feel, when it needs to be made.

#81 - DRAKE STEVENSON - Hometown: Hapilopper City - Age: 32 - Twii.tur: @HapiDrake81
HASCAR Starts: 309 | Wins: 54 | Challenge Cups: 4 (2011, 2013, 2014, 2018)
NSSCRA Starts: 17 | Wins: 0 | Championships: 0
Crew Chief: John Malloy (twii.tur: @j_malloy) | Spotter: Banjo Williams (twii.tur: @BanjoHap)

Probably the most well-known Hapiloppian driver in international motorsport, Drake Stevenson cut his teeth on the dirt tracks around Hapilopper City before walking into a Team Blue test session in late 2008. Drake made his NSSCRA debut in 2009 and went on an almost-immediate tear, winning 54 races and four HASCAR Challenge Cups before seeking out a lifelong dream to become a World Grand Prix champion. Unfortunately, that dream flopped out on him in a huge way, which partially led to a falling out in a personal relationship that meant the world to him. With little else to turn to, Drake went back to stock car racing and back to Team Blue, where he served as a driver consultant. When Team Blue tired of Chris Holmes' personal demons, Drake was put back in a race seat, a seat he'll run in for the entire NSSCRA X campaign. He's in a much better place, both mentally and emotionally, than he was a few months before, but he's still hoping for a big break, either in his personal life or his professional life. Away from the track, Drake enjoys the company of his friends at Andrew's Pub, a popular hangout among those in the Hapilopper City racing community, as well as watching his little brother, Ernie, compete in Nephara and for Team Hapilopper.

#73 - TAYLOR HENDERSON - Hometown: West Hampton - Age: 21 - Twii.tur: @THendo73
HASCAR Starts: 32 | Wins: 2 | Challenge Cups: 0
NSSCRA Starts: 36 | Wins: 1 | Championships: 0
Crew Chief: Pat Howard (twii.tur: @PitBoxChief) | Spotter: Will Stanton (twii.tur: @HendosEyes)

One of the breakout stars from the NSSCRA last season was one Taylor Henderson, the graduate of the rough and tumble world of the short tracks of the Hampton Cities, where drivers settle their differences both on and off the track. That sort of experience has led some pitsiders to view Taylor as a tough, no-nonsense driver who has little tolerance for stupidity. The first lady to win in the history of the HASCAR Challenge Cup, Taylor has gained a tremendous following among younger Hapiloppians. She scored her first victory - a long-awaited first win at that - at the Anderscoggin 420 in Xanneria late last season, and Hapiloppian pitsiders expect more will be coming this season. This season, she carries the orange colors of her family-owned business, Sharpe's Coffee, alongside the primary colors of HapiCorp. While "Hendo," as her fans know her as, is tough on the surface, away from the surface she's actually a softie, and is more than accomodating to her many fans, especially her younger fans, people who she sees a lot of herself in.

#8 - FRANK BRONSON - Hometown: Hapilopper City - Age: 41 - Twii.tur: @Frank_Bronson
HASCAR Starts: 485 | Wins: 8 | Challenge Cups: 1 (2000)
NSSCRA Starts: 66 | Wins: 2 | Championships: 0
Crew Chief: Lawrence Malloy (twii.tur: @larry_m8) | Spotter: Sharp-Eyes Glover (no twii.tur account)

Last season, Frank Bronson had what had to have been the best season of racing he had experienced in over 20 years. It seemed like he had come into a groove he had been missing for years, dating back to when his team, Ralph Hayes Racing, appeared to fall off a cliff in 2001 before closing down entirely at the end of that season. After that disastrous season, he bounced from ride to ride, winning a handful of races when he's been able to. Bronson is seen as one of the best ambassadors for stock car racing in the Dominion of Hapilopper, and is known for signing autographs for fans, even hours after the races have concluded. His legions of fans typically give Bronson among the loudest cheers during driver introductions, and even if he's not winning races, the fans still stick by him. Some wonder if Frank's still in that groove he was in last season. If he is, with Team Blue's newfound stability, Frank might be a threat to win every single week.

That is, if he qualifies. Frank does not have a charter at the start of this NSSCRA season, after Team Blue was granted just two charters for this upcoming season. Frank, however, isn't that worried, nor has he really expressed much protest. After all, Frank had expected to retire at the end of last season before Chris Holmes went on a rampage in TJUN-ia. Either way, a lot of tension in the "8" camp will exist during qualifying days this season. Hopefully that will change as the season progresses.

At the UnionRacing shop, the engineers are busy working on a car that can only be described as the farthest thing from stock. But somehow this car with its extremly low 110 millimeters of ground clearance, long sloped nose and a body profile that looks like the cockpit of a fighter jet with the wide wheelbase, not including the about half a meter high wing is stock. The wing is actually around 25 centimeters higher than the stock model, which has a 'modest' 23.2 centimeter wing. Micheal Rush, team owner and driver, walks in and promptly looks like a kid at a candy store, if said kid could buy the whole store with pocket cash. "What the hell are we doing here", he ask one one of the team members putting the car on a dyno. "Honestly, we don't know", they reply as the car revs to 6700 rpm before the engine explodes. "How many engines have we blown today", Rush asks with a smile on his face. "I'm pretty sure this is the 4th engine-", the crew member replies before somebody says that they have actually blown 5 engines not including the last one. "Tell them to be careful to not blow another one", Rush jokes as he walks out. These fine guys and gals are from the Stevens Autoworks skunkworks, a group of engineers hand picked from the puragatory that is working on mid-sized inline four sedans. Freed from the development restrictions of having 'reasonable performance' and a 'easy driving' design philosphy they have produced some bad fast rides for the Stevens Motorsports teams, if not quite a few blown engines in the process. His 2006 championship car had to go back to the shop more than once every month due to his excessive burnouts overreving the engine, which usually resulted in a happy shop due to having something other than tuning civilaian cars. And the car usually came out faster then before. But their crowning acheviment was his 2004 All-Star race car, a piece of work by even their standards, Bending the rules when called for, the shop came out with a bad fast ride that almost lapped the field at the 2.9 mile Perth Tri-Oval. Too bad the governing body banned it the next day, it was on hell of a racecar. Even now, that 2004 All-Star race car is the backbone of the secondary divison chassis in the National Series, where it has won more races then any two other models of car combined.

Team Info
Team Name: UnionRacing
Main Sponsers: UnionAir, GoSwordIsland.com
Drivers
Micheal Rush, 37 years old: National racing legend who excelled in the Sword Island National Series driving for Stevens Motorsports, the engine and chassis provider for UnionRacing. Won the championship 8 times in his 16 year career( 2005-2007, 2010, 2013, 2015-2017). A class act, Rush has been know to drop by the Stevens Motorsports shop and spread his knowlegde with the younger drivers there. Has never been know to have a temper, although in one high profile incident with Richard Irwin back in 2009 after a late race pass under yellow by Irwin, who had been elimated from contention the week prior due to contact made by #07 car of Rush, cost him the championship

Chris Gordon, 25 years old: Has been phenomenal on the dirt track circuit in Sword Island, winning the 'Dirt Triple Crown' of Sydney Cricket Grounds, the Brisbane Backstretch, and the oldest track in Sword Island Fredericksburgh Fairgrounds. Has had a rocky start to his paved oval career, winning one race at the Perth Tri-oval before posting back-to-back-to-back DNF's, a rocky transition he has attributed to meshing with crew chief Eric Knaus. However, his temper and inablity to work well with others is what cost him those 3 races

Kassie Collins, 19 years old: Youngest driver in the UnionRacing stable and has proven herself to be a tough out on the super late model circuit. Has a lot to prove as she was tapped personally by team owner and teammate Micheal Rush to drive the #35 car after beating his entry in the Brisbane Super Late Model Open event last year by 8 seconds. Adding a bit of a punch to a this team, Kassie is a self described 'agent of vengace on the track', often getting into conflict with some of the more questionable personalities on the circuit and repaying favors for other drivers. This has earned her a sizeable fanbase and the respect of everyone else on the track. Besides that she is a threat to win week in and week out on the short and intermediate tracks, and it's only a matter of time before she cracks the formula for road courses and superspeedways. Her favorite track in all of Sword Island is the Brisbane oval configuration due to its high banking all around except for the frontstretch due to it leading into the road course.

Track Info
https://www.nationstates.net/page=dispatch/id=1446893
DNF Tendency: On the oval, it's 4. The road course however presents a whole different set of challenges that could result in either less aggressive driving or being more aggressive, but wrecks will and can occur in the heavy braking zone coming out of the long front straight. It has a DNF tendency of 7. The track record is 1:01:02.

NSSCRA Update: Expansion to two full time teams for Season 10
Official Press Release

YOGYAKULTA -The Badai Angin Tim Motorsport (BA Tim for short), has decided to expand its operations to add a second full time team for this season, after a noticeable improvement on the performance of the team in Season 9 with the sole full time entry for Hana Bhe. The organization was able to retain her services in the flagship #0 Team, and the former national stock car champion will be driving for the team in her third season of top level stock car racing. She will be joined by last season's FISCAR champion, Fiona Sunarya, who will drive the unchartered #00 Team and will be running for Rookie of the Year honors having run six races in preparation for her full time entry last season.

The organization is also pleased to announce that the automotive company will remain the sponsor of the NSSCRA Main Series race at the Yoggy Oval, and it will be a Night Race unlike the past two races in the short track. In addition to our two full-time teams, we are happily announcing that one of our cadets and runner-up to the FISCAR champion, Mercy Binayas, will be driving behind the wheel of the #99 Team as our open charter entry for the home event which is now part of the NSSCRA playoffs and will serve as the Elimination race for the Round of 16. She will also run the #99 as an unchartered entry at the last race of the season at the Proving Grounds 500 at Tundra Falls in Newmanistan. In addition to the two races, Binayas will also compete in the second-tier series, running the #0 Team for five to six races at tracks in Esportiva, including the Prospect Showcase at Tundra Falls and its opening round.

The organization would like to thank Solymok for their support in previous seasons of NSSCRA where they supplied the tyres in Seasons 8 and 9 with the Megfogo STx. Unfortunately they will be halting the production of this tyre specification, causing the organization to look for other companies to supply the tyres. And we are happy to announce that we have signed an agreement with Tropicorp Racing Supply and their Sifaka brand of tyres to be the official tyre supplier of the NSSCRA organization of Badai Angin Tim Motorsport this season.

Aside from the developments on the technical side, we are also please to announce several partnerships with other teams to participate in the Second-Tier series. First partnership to be announced is with Katana Racing, which will share the running of the #0 Team, and will be driven by former FISCAR driver Tadashi Mitsubishi. He drove for the Katana Racing team in FISCAR last season and will be making the step up to NSSCRA racing this season. He will run the remainder of the races not entered by Binayas in the second tier series. The second partnership will be with Deutschmagyar Racing with Rusty Motorsport, spearheaded by current WGPC driver Rustom Ibuna, and Mr. Ferko Koos, the owner of DMR. Former WGP2 driver and WGPC prospect, Barnabas Mate from Gergary, will be running the #71 entry in the second-tier series as well. Due to the contractual obligations Mate has with Solymok, the team will run with Solymok Megfogo ST tyres, the same variant used in the FISCAR domestic series.

Finally, inquiries for any technical partnership with other NSSCRA teams whether in the main series or in the second-tier series are open. Please state your intentions by letting us know via a public media release (OOC: Post in this thread) or contacting us via our available channels (OOC: TG or in Discord).

Paint schemes for the BA Tim organization and partner teams will be released in our next official press release.

Inklingcraft Singularity Racing

OOC Note: Thanks to Saint Kanye for the Inklingcraft logo and the logos for the companies that will be on Shigeru Ishikawa's FunStar #40 this season.

About Inklingcraft

Inklingcraft is Squidroidia's main automobile and transportation manufacturer. Born shortly after the founding of the nation, at first Squidroidia's heavy reliance on public transportation due to the ban of private transportation forced the "car" manufacturer to accept government contracts for public transportation within Inkopolis and the other cities in its country - The company, based in Spartansburg, spent its time mainly making busses instead of cars. But with Squidroidia moving on from its fascination with busses and monorails, and as the government contracts dried up for the Inklingcraft company, the private transport ban was lifted and the Inklingcraft workers got to work on cars to crowd Squidroidia's once empty highways.

Although they still have a public transport division, Inklingcraft has focused on private transport for the most part. The Splattershot is Inklingcraft's main passenger car, and as such the sedan will be the car used by the Singularity Racing team. However, they sell other types of cars, including the smaller Splattershot Jr. meant for first time drivers, the Roller 4 by 4 SUV and the Bazooka truck brand. Currently Inklingcraft hasn't made any sports cars.

Singularity

The theory of Singularity within Squidroidia is one about being as one. As such, there primarily is one version of a program throughout companies and teams in Squidroidia with some exceptions. The Inklingcraft racing team will be dubed as "Inklingcraft Singularity Racing" to highlight this Squidroidian theory, and as such will only field one car. The colors for Singularity, black and white, will be primarily featured on the car, but sponsorships will retain their colors.

Shigeru Ishikawa

Shigeru Ishikawa will drive the #40 Inklingcraft Singularity car for NSSCRA this season. The Midnight born 25 year old won a 101 lap shootout between him and 15 other drivers to earn the seat, with the main sponsor being the FunStar media company. As such he, a driver with good experience in karting in other lands due to the lack of go-karting tracks in Squidroidia, will become the first ever driver of an Inklingcraft stock car in the NSSCRA Main Series. His car will be revealed at a later date.

Spartansburg Speedway

The 1.5 mile Spartansburg Speedway is the most known raceway in Squidroidia, and is the home track of the Inklingcraft Singularity Racing NSSCRA team. A flat out oval, the lack of adequate pavement has the track's lap times slower than most speedways on the schedule. The track will host Round 12 of the NSSCRA 2nd Tier Series, the Drew's 300, and is also the prospective host of the FunStar Squidroidia 400 in the NSSCRA Main Series. The record time is 42.613, so the FunStar Squidroidia 400 race can last around 3 hours and 20 minutes, while the 300 will last around 2 hours and 30 minutes. As such the marathon nature of the track will be a toll for drivers in all levels of racing.

Stevens Automotive has elected to support a seperate factory team in addition to UnionRacing as a one car operation. It is unknown whether this new team will use the standard bodies supplied to Union or use entirely different models. team owner Adam Stevens has expressed that this team will have a seperate engine and chassis program than UnionRacing. "This is our first factory supported team in a long time, and we expect to be competing for wins in a couple of seasons.", Stevens said in the press release. Driving the #04 in 2020 will be Lexie Shelby, 20 year old open wheel standout who will drive in both the NSSCRA and National Open Wheel Tour. "It's going to be weird pulling double-duty some weekends but as a driver I think I can manage it.", she remarked at the press confernce anoucing her signing. This isn't the first time that Shelby will pull double duty for Stevens as in 2016 she competed for both the National Open Wheel Tour championship and the Roots of Racing Modifed Tour, bringing home a title in both series. However this team has expressed that it will run only the select races:

Tundra Falls 400
GoSwordIsland.com 350
Argo Petrol 350
Golden Bear 400
Super Skychief 500
Proving Grounds 500

EVERLONG CONVENIENCE STATIONS PROPOSES SPONSORSHIP FOR NEW NSSCRA TIER 2 SERIES

BUCKRIDGE, HAPILOPPER – EverLong Convenience Stations, the leading convenience store in Hapilopper, has formally made an offer to sponsor the new “Tier 2” series in NSSCRA, the premier stock car racing series in the universe. Under the proposal, the series will be called the “EverLong Contender’s Series” and will feature a healthy sponsorship fund from the company.

“This is a great opportunity for the multiversal public to know more about EverLong,” said Andrew Dempsey, President and CEO of Everlong. “We are the go-to place for the motorist to get their food and drink and fill up at the pump. Our stores are clean, safe, and open 24 hours a day, and many of our customers are fans of not only auto racing, but the NSSCRA and Team Blue. We hope this partnership will come to pass, as we feel it will be a fruitful one.”

EverLong has been a sponsor of motorsport in Hapilopper for over 20 years, and has been a contingency sponsor in the HASCAR Challenge Cup, with its “EverLong Through the Field” award, awarding $5,000 to the driver that gains the most spots from the start of a race to the finish. The company also serves as a contingency sponsor to Team Blue’s three cars in the NSSCRA series, as well as Hawking-Byrd Motorsports’ two cars.

EverLong is the leading convenience center in all of Hapilopper, with over 700 stores across the Dominion. The stores feature over a dozen gas pumps, as well as plenty of food and drink options for the Hapiloppian customer, clean bathrooms and friendly staff. All stores are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, because the road never closes. For more about EverLong, visit their website at everlong.co.hp.

THE TEAM

Image

Glorious Free Republic Motorsports was originally founded four seasons ago as St. Kanye's official entry in the Electric Grand Prix (eGP). However, that series never took off, and so the team refocused their efforts into stock car racing. GFR debuted in the sixth season of the Nationstates Stock Car Racing Association (NSSCRA), and now have over twenty wins, consistent playoff performances, and a championship. The current team president is Lucas "Luke" Brown, a former driver and champion in KURT (Kanyean Unified Racing Tournament), the country's top series, and the vice president is Eunice Radetsky.

THE CAR

Image

The team uses the Chadwick C-1000 model in NSSCRA. This car has been St. Kanye's top-selling full-size sedan model for sixteen years running. "Chads" also compete in KURT alongside the Sentoza Speedhawk and the Binkham Bushido, and have won six of the last eight championships. Aside from GFR, Direwolf Auto Team from neighboring New Northwesteros also utilize the Chad. GFR's tires are provided by Tropicorp Racing Supply, and fuel by Argo Petrol.

THE DRIVERS

Image

#3 Sage Caldwell

Twii.tur: @SageTheRacer

Crew Chief: Jackson Cohen
Spotter: Bart Easton

Caldwell, 31, is an easygoing fellow who loves racing, basketball, beer, girls, and his dreads. He moves up from the R&D ride to replace Skip Stiller, who has announced his retirement from NSSCRA last season. However, having raced more than seven times in the past three seasons, Caldwell is no longer eligible for Rookie of the Year honors.

Image

#18 Jeremiah Brooke

Twii.tur: @Jeremiah_B
NSSCRA 6 Championship Four
NSSCRA 7 Regular Season Champion
NSSCRA 8 Regular Season Runner-Up
NSSCRA 9 Regular Season Runner-Up
NSSCRA 9 Champion
1-Time Vilaye Energy Drink 314 Winner

Crew Chief: Ben Warwick
Spotter: Raymond Goldfarb

Even as he won the championship last season, the 29-year-old remained humble, approachable, and an overall nice guy, qualities that have made him such a fan favorite especially in his native St. Kanye. On the track, Brooke is often calm and collected, though he used to get really flustered when witnessing big crashes, having been sidelined late in the seventh season because of one. He's getting better, though.

Brooke is currently dating fellow racer, Stacie Houston of Cassadaigua, giving rise to the paired nickname "Stacemiah". The two have been close friends since the sixth season and only recently decided to take their relationship to the next level.

Image

#46 Thea Alvarez

Twii.tur: @Luna_Althea
NSSCRA 6 Championship Four
NSSCRA 7 Championship Four
NSSCRA 8 Championship Four

Crew Chief: Kaley Curtis
Spotter: Naomi Hoff

Alvarez is a shy, sensitive girl who enjoys fantasy books and movies, stuffed animals and shoes, and would rather dress cute than sexy. At 22, she is the youngest member of the team. But behind the innocent exterior lies a very tough challenger who has mastered the art of last-second wins ("Yeezie magic", as the media calls it). Despite breaking her streak of three consecutive Championship Four appearances, Alvarez remains optimistic about the upcoming season, drawing support and inspiration from the many young fans who look up to her as a positive female role model.

#19 Pyotr Lavrentiev

Twii.tur: @CeroatLav

Crew Chief: James Fellows
Spotter: Ethan Petrov

"Lav" was originally one of Motorsports Ceroat's entries at the start of last season. However, four races in, his home country suffered a great crisis, causing his team to fold and forcing him out of a ride. Brooke approached him, offering a developmental seat at GFR, which turned into appearances in XCAR, NSSCRA, and the Kanyean second tier, where he won the championship. Lav will now take over the R&D ride vacated by Sage Caldwell, as well as compete in the second tier series.

THE SPONSORS

Blood Moon Beer: Longtime sponsor of Sage Caldwell since his time as an R&D driver. It is a strong, dark beer. Coolers filled with Blood Moon are always on hand whenever GFR travels, and the drivers and crew (save for Alvarez) often enjoy a cold one after every race.

QED Car Rentals: The company has remained at the #3 camp despite the driver change. Short for "Quick, Easy, Dependable". For over thirty years, QED has been renting out RVs, limousines, trucks, helicopters, and of course cars, including the road version of the Chad C-1000.

Rich Discount Stores: Aside from being a contingency sponsor for all GFR cars, the Kanyean retail giant has been the primary for WGP2 champion Abdoulaye Goita's cameo for the Yeezies in the Pencurve. It has also appeared in a race for Caldwell, and will continue to do so this season.

Prime Insurance: With the #9 team at Direwolf folding, the Northwesterosi insurance company has to find another car to sponsor, and they didn't have to look for long, jumping onboard with Caldwell for a couple of races.

Hyde Medical Group: The biggest healthcare company and seventh biggest private company overall in St. Kanye, Hyde operates hospitals, manufactures medicines and medical equipment, does research, works with medical schools and charities, and gives primary sponsorship to Jeremiah Brooke. Recently, they have also taken their sponsorship into other forms of motorsport, making a deal with Schkeska-VSK Viska Racing, an Aurunan WGPC team.

Vylet: An internet service provider which operates in St. Kanye, New Northwesteros, and soon other countries as well. With their distinctively colored uniforms and vehicles, it's easy to see if someone is having their internet installed or fixed. Vylet is also parodied in the Kanyean sketch comedy R.O.F.L. as "Vylent", a company which sends hitmen after customers who fail to pay up.

GGtech: Pencurve Electronics' brand of gaming accessories like mice, keyboards and controllers, as well as gadgets such as laptops. They also manufactures the track simulators used by both GFR and Stiller's racing school. With Multiversal (see below) announcing that they will cover all races for Thea Alvarez, GGtech will head over to Brooke and the #18 team. They will also be the title sponsor for the regular season finale in the second tier series, the GGtech 400.

Allclear: Technically not a separate company, but the higher-ups at Hyde have decided that for a couple of races, they will promote their new allergy medication in place of their usual red-white-blue scheme.

Multiversal Automotive Coatings: A sponsor with a long history in KURT, it also appears primarily on Thea Alvarez's colorful car. Multiversal paint covers all GFR cars, as well as some from other teams. (OOC: if it's painted by me, it uses Multiversal paint.)

Girls Will Code: A movement that started in Filindostan, promoting the teaching of computer programming among females, and has been on the hood of the #46 for last season's Pencurve. They have expanded their relationship with Alvarez and will cover several more races this season. (OOC: Girls Will Code logo used with permission - thanks, Fil.)

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, START YOUR ENGINES!!!
NSSCRA begins its 10th season soon! Will our Jebslunden Motorenwerken be able to go all the way this season?

Well, it's that time again, folks! Time for the sounds of anything-but-stock cars to roar in 26 races around the multiverse! Time for winners to celebrate and losers to work harder! Time for blood, sweat, and tears to be vindicated in the end, or bitterly dashed against the cruel rocks of defeat! Time for Villaye energy drinks in one hand, Die Glückliche Ratte in the other, and a rousing stave of Ein Prosit in every bar from Dürrdürrwüste to Oquevocêquiser, from Jebsheim to Ozeantore, from Luzes do Sul to Auroraheim. In less than a week, the opening exhibition will begin for the tenth season of the NSSCRA!

Now, from what I've heard, there will be some changes this season from previous ones. Jebslunden Motorenwerken (fixed that for you, news outlets of the Multiverse. <3) will be receiving only one full-time charter this season, down from two last season. That means that Lexi and Vanda Rosa Cordeiro Kerman will need to work extra hard to stay in the field. While many have speculated that this was due to unforeseen circumstances requiring Sie Nah and Augustinho Motores to pull out of last season, and brief tensions requiring Eva's deployment, it's more likely that the change was to accommodate newcomers to the series getting their own full-time charters. Cuts had to be made somewhere, you know?

The other major change is the addition of a second-tier series. Now, while the Dicker Slim's Sportswaren 250 will feature in the second-tier, there will be no Jebslunden participating. No word on why there weren't any signups, though I have heard that a certain Kerthenian businessman tried and failed, citing favoritism and fraud in the inspection teams. As for the main series, Jebslunden Motorenwerken will be fielding the same drivers as last season. My girl Eva will be utilising the full-time charter, in the BDA #13 Löwe. In the #30 Sie Nah Fleet Systems Bartpinguin will be Lexi Patterson (congrats on the new citizenship!), and Vanda Rosa Cordeiro Kerman will be driving the Die Sportler/Augustinho Motores #1 Garanhão de Ferro. Lexi has told me she will also be supporting the Sherpa NHI this year, as she did last year.

Today's featured Imbissmeister is Haariger Ivo candies. Haariger Ivo Kerman started in his basement, making chocolates and various chocolate-based sweets shortly after Der Zweite Große. Twenty years later, he'd built himself a candy empire spanning most of the world. And he's still going! These days, Harriger Ivo makes everything from gummy bears to gingerbread tanks. Beginning this year, there will be a Haariger Ivo booth at every major sporting event in Jebslund! Mention me for a free bag of Fröhliche Krüge beer-flavored gummy steins or Stacheligebeeren, gummies made to look and taste like the famous cactus fruit from Dürrdürrwüste.

Writing for the Sportler, this has been Eva Kerman wishing you a lucky season!

Jebslund is a nation of kerbals ruled by Emperor Jebediah Kerman. We reject tyranny, believing that rights should be protected, though we also believe said rights end where the rights of others begin.
Shockingly, we *do* use NS stats, with the exception of lifespan.
Singular sapient: Jebslunder
Plural Sapient: Jebslunden
Singular/Plural nonsapient: Kermanic
Note: When a verb can logically only be done by the sapient using/piloting/holding the object in question, then the appropriate demonym for the number of sapients is used.

Capitalism, Socialism, and Communism are ECONOMIC SYSTEMS. Stop conflating them with political systems.

Organization Name: Badai Angin Tim Motorsport (Short Name: BA Tim, Badai Angin)

Number of starts: 62 (in 132 race attempts)
Wins: 0
Podiums (Top 3s): 2
Top 5s: 3
Top 10s: 10
First race: Tundra Falls 500, Season 8
Latest race: Proving Grounds 500, Season 9
Cars: Badai Angin Kecepatan K8 (Season 10), Badai Angin Kecepatan (Season 8 and 9)
Tyre Supplier: Tropicorp Racing Supply (Season 10), Solymok (Season 8 and 9)
President of Team Operations: Werner Ragos

Short History
Badai Angin Tim Motorsport entered the 8th season of the Nationstates Stock Car Racing Association (NSSCRA) after acquiring the assets of Ajian team Kissan Motorsport (KISMO) during season 7 of the competition when the latter became defunct after the end of the previous season. Entering three full-time teams with all rookie drivers in their first season, overspending of their budget as well as a lackluster technical package of engine, chassis, and tyres caused them to miss most of the races, and their two charters taken away from them. As a result, the operation downsized to a single-car full time team and one part-time team for Season 9, where their performance improved, keeping their charter for the entire season and qualifying for all their attempted races.

This season will see an expansion to two full-time teams, the #0, and the #00 teams which will be driven by former national stock car champions Hana Bhe and Fiona Sunarya. The team will also enter a third entry in Filindostan as well as the last race at the Proving Grounds 500 with FISCAR runner-up Mercy Binayas.

#0 Team History
Number of starts: 48 (in 66 race attempts)
Wins: 0
Podiums (Top 3s): 2
Top 5s: 3
Top 10s: 10
First race: Tundra Falls 500, Season 8
Latest race: Proving Grounds 500, Season 9
Driver with most starts: Hana Bhe (48)
Short History
The #0 Team is the flagship team of BA Tim, and has been driven by former national stock car champion Hana Bhe since their debut in NSSCRA 8, placing 27th in the exhibition race. For their first season, the car was mainly sponsored by Descension, a business process outsourcing company in Filindostan. However, the car did not perform as expected by the team, qualifying in the lower positions and in many cases, only qualifying due to the team having a charter. In 12 races it made, the car only placed as high as 37th place as well as having four DNFs, including one at their home race at the Yoggy Oval. Before the Toys 4 All 500 qualifying at Lonngeylin Ring, the team's charter was reallocated, causing the team to need to qualify by speed, which they failed to do for the rest of the season.

During the offseason, there were many rumors of either BA Tim pulling out of the NSSCRA or reorganizing their structure, with news of them bringing back Chiemi Hino to the competition, who at the time is contracted driver under the Badai Angin drivers' programme. Shortly before Season 9 started, the organization scaled back their operations, keeping the #0 as the sole full-time team, keeping Bhe as the driver and sending the other drivers to other programs. The remaining sponsors of the other teams were consolidated to the sole entry and as a result had many various paint schemes from Descension, Solymok, VeniLoans, and Zalada, with Badai Angin being the sponsor for the home race at Yoggy Oval.

Bhe found herself struggling at the back of the field in the first five races before scoring her first top ten in Ruwani Motor Speedway in Banija. She would get her first top 3 in her home race in the Yoggy Oval, finishing 3rd. The team would improve significantly compared to last season, getting 2 top 3s, 3 top 5s, and 10 top 10s in this season, and despite rumors of Bhe being considered to be replacing Meagan Sharpe in the #4 Team Cassadaigua entry for Season 10, the organization decided to offer an extension to the Filindo driver beyond the ninth season. Bhe would ultimately finish 24th in the drivers' standings.

Season 10 will see Descension and their Girls Will Code initiative sponsor 15 of the 26 races, while Zalada sponsors 11, including the Exhibition race at Tundra Falls.

#00 Team History
Number of starts: 13 (in 36 race attempts, ran as #83 in Season 9)
Wins: 0
Podiums (Top 3s): 0
Top 5s: 0
Top 10s: 0
First race: Tundra Falls 500, Season 8
Latest race: Proving Grounds 500, Season 9 (ran as #83 in season 9)
Driver with most starts: Ilham Lukas Jenie (7)
Short History
The #00 Team is the second team of BA Tim, and has been driven by former national stock car runner-up Ilham Lukas Jenie in their debut in NSSCRA 8, placing 32th in the exhibition race. For their first season, the car was mainly sponsored by Solymok, from Gergary. However, the car did not perform as expected by the team, qualifying in the lower positions and in many cases, only qualifying due to the team having a charter. In the 7 races it made, the car only placed as high as 39th place as well as having five DNFs. Before the Yoggy 500 qualifying at the Yoggy Oval, the team's home race, the team's charter was reallocated, causing the team to need to qualify by speed, which they failed to do for the rest of the season.

During the offseason, there were many rumors of either BA Tim pulling out of the NSSCRA or reorganizing their structure Shortly before Season 9 started, the organization scaled back their operations, keeping the #0 as the sole full-time team, and sending Jenie to the Hodoran GT championship. The Solymok sponsorship of the #00 was moved to the flagship #0 and the team was shut down for season 9, allocating the pit crew to the #99 FISCAR team of Fiona Sunarya during that time.

However, at the NSSCRA race at Cocoa-bo Speedway in Starksville, Cassadaigua, it was announced that the team would be reactivated as the #83 with Sunarya driving six races during Season 9. Eventually, the #83 entry was run for the rest of the season but was operated using Dahon cars and a separate team (joint Dahon and Nasional Tim Motorsport entry) operating it. During the time when the #83 entry was operated by BA Tim, they qualified for every race they attempted, finishing as high as 24th in the TMW 500 at the Ramba Test Track. The team also participated as the #000 at the Rumble in the Rice Fields in Guilin, but failed to get the available open charter spots after finishing 13th. Sunarya would wound up 54th in the drivers' standings. Before the end of the season, it was announced that Sunarya will be moving up to the NSSCRA series for Season 10 with the #00 number bought from Jaguar Racing which used the number for Michael Stefan during Season 9.

Before the start of the season, MasayaBee, a Filindo fastfood chain, has announced to sponsor 18 of 26 races including the exhibition with the other 9 sponsored by Descension and their Girls Will Code initiative.

For their first season, the car was numbered #80 and was self sponsored by Badai Angin. However, the car did not perform as expected by the team, failing to qualify for all but one of the NSSCRA 8 schedule, when Egar qualified 36th in the Atlas 799K at the Aurora Motorsports Park in Esmerel, and Descension providing sponsorship for the race having moved the paint scheme from the #0 team who failed to qualify for the event.

During the offseason, there were many rumors of either BA Tim pulling out of the NSSCRA or reorganizing their structure. Shortly before Season 9 started, the organization scaled back their operations, keeping the #0 as the sole full-time team, and sending Egar to the Hodoran GT championship. The team was shut down for season 9, allocating the pit crew to the #0 FISCAR team of Mercy Binayas during that time. Binayas made one appearance in the #0 car in the IRACT-sanctioned Rumble in the Rice Fields, but failed to finish the race. The #80 team would not make any appearance in Season 9 and the number is allocated the the UrGa entry of Leonidas Baxter.

The team will make a return in the NSSCRA as the #99 in the Yoggy Oval as the open charter hold for Mercy Binayas's NSSCRA debut, as well as an appearance as an unchartered entry at the last race of the season in Tundra Falls.

Tropicorp Racing Supply bringing Sifaka Slicks to NSSCRA 10

Tropicorp Racing Supply, Tropicoast, Tropicorp :: Tropicorp Racing Supply have established themselves as the premier Tyre Supplier in the NSSCRA having secured longterm multi- season commitments from a number of NSSCRA teams to be the exclusive or preferred tire supplier through the NSSCRA Season 10 campaign. Some of the newest additions to the Tropicorp Racing Supply team include Badai Angin Tim Motorsport who have made the switch from Solymok Tyres to Tropicorp's Sifaka Tyres for the new season at the NSSCRA's Top Tier. The addition of new teams to the Tier 1 and Tier 2 levels of competition could also result in an opportunity for new teams to try out Tropicorp's Sifaka Tyres at the upcoming Exhibition events at the Proving Grounds in Newmanistan and Tropicorp Racing Supply welcome all new teams the opportunity to receive one free set of Tropicorp Sifaka Tyres for evaluation in the practice sessions leading up to the Exhibition.

From there, Tropicorp Racing Supply will be bringing truckloads of their Sifaka branded motorsport tyres to each NSSCRA event regardless of the number of hard commitments they have from teams, as they will also have more than enough tires on hand to support any teams that are not weekly Tropicorp customers who wish to switch their tyre allegiances on race weekend. Tropicorp engineers will have three primary slick variants with a Super Speedway tire with an inner liner, an intermediate and a thick-walled tire with no inner liner to be used at Short Tracks and high impact road course events. Additionally, Tropicorp will also bring its 'Storm' variant tyre to select road course events where the sanctioning body could decide to attempt racing in the Wet if desired. This new derivative of the Tropicorp Racing Supply Tyre line and may represent a crossover into the personnel transport market through the "Storm" branding which replaces the Sifaka wordmark on the wet tyres only.

Tropicorp is a quasi-governmental corporation created to conduct Research, Development and Production activities primarily on behalf of the Tropics of Vilita. One of the byproducts of Tropicorps development in a remote location on the Calanian mainland has been the removal of native and wild tree species to make way for development space. Tropicorp engineers discovered a dense grove of Calanian rubber trees.

Tropicorp Engineering developed the special Calanian rubber to create high performance racing tyres for testing purposes. After the tests proved successful, It wasn't long before the tooling was done and Racing Tyres were popping out on an hourly basis from the workshop and Tropicorp Racing Supply was born. Everything on Tropicorp Racing Supply's standard product line from Crew Uniforms to Composite-Material suspension parts will be on offer. - even the potential for advanced product opportunities through Tropicorp Engineering to include Chassis and Hybrid Power systems.

Tropicorp Racing Supply will accept any requests for teams to align themselves with the Sifaka tyre for the NSSCRA 8 season. Teams do not have to get pre-approval to use the Tropicorp Sifaka tyre and can either submit an intent to purchase letter to get priority pick up on race days or simply send a pit crew member early to get in line and buy tyres off the rack at the truck. Teams wishing for new Tropicorp Sifaka tyres for testing purchases can contact Tropicorp Racing Supply for special orders.

The flagship (And thanks to the theory of Singularity the only) car of Inklingcraft Singularity, the #40, is driven by 25 year old Midnight resident Shigeru Ishikawa. The black and white paint scheme, done by Multiversal Automotive Coatings, is meant to symbolize the Squidroidian theory of Singularity, as one streak of white is present on each side of the black car as well as on the back windows. Due to the nature of the color used, all sponsors have been allowed to keep their main colors. Due to being the main tire supplier of NSSCRA, Inklingcraft Singularity will be using Tropicorp tires. Fuel supplier is up in the air, but Fuel Up fuel will be used for the FunStar Squidroidia 400 for the #40 team should it occur.

Sponsors

FunStar is a streaming company headquartered in Souraoi, Squidroidia. As the main sponsor of the #40 team, it has given the most funding out of the 4 brands the #40 has sponsored. FunStar's main streaming service, FunStar Link, is Squidroidia's most popular streaming service and will hold exclusive streaming rights in Squidroidia for NSSCRA races. It is also the title sponsor of the proposed FunsStar Squidroidia 400 NSSCRA Main Series race.

Mako Designs is Squidroidia's primary apparel company. Having designed kits for the Squidroidian national football team as well as Squidroidia's numerous football clubs, it has a deep tradition of sporting apparel, but also sells casual apparel within its numerous stores scattered throughout the country. Mako Designs has not elected to make Shigeru Ishikawa's race suit.

Drew's Drinks is a Squidroidian beverage company headquartered in Inkopolis, Squidroidia. Their primary drink is Drew's Cola, an orange soda with a ting of lime, but also have drinks ranging from Natural Pond water (Which will be the main drink of the #40 team) to Kraken energy drinks. They are the title sponsor of the confirmed Drew's 300 NSSCRA 2nd Tier Series in Spartansburg, and have also elected to bid for the naming rights for the NSSCRA 2nd Tier Series. With the tentative title being the NSSCRA Drew's Series, the series hopes to let the company's beverage selection be exposed to a more public audience, as well as introducing a trophy to those in the 2nd tier that are especially road course loving...

The Drew's Road Course Ringer Trophy

The Road Course Ringer trophy is, as the title suggests, a trophy given out to the best driver on road courses during the Drew's Series season. There will be 3 main rounds and 1 championship round: The 3 main rounds will be GoSwordIsland.com 350 in Brisbane, the NGADM 500 at the Jungle Circuit in Peninsula, and the cutoff Bank of Appalachia Roval Challenge in Charlotte. NSSCRA chase rules apply, as a race win will automatically get a driver into the Road Corse Ringer Trophy Championship. The top 4 drivers based on road course race wins and points scored during the 3 road course rounds will make up a Championship 4 at the Crocodile Roadkill circuit in Schoenwetter, Kriegiersien. The highest placing driver out of the finalists will be crowned Drew's Road Course Ringer Trophy champion.

If Drew's Drinks doesn't win the sponsorship rights, the Drew's Road Course Ringer Trophy can be used if the title sponsor for the 2nd Tier Series wants to.

Fuel Up is a chain of gas stations in Squidroidia, headquartered in Spartansburg. The company mainly has 8 pumps throughout most of their outlets in the country, but for highway rest stops and more high end locations this can be increased to 12 or even 16. Convenience stores are located in every Fuel Up gas station, which do include Drew's products. As previously mentioned, they will provide fuel for the #40 car if the FunStar Squidroidia 400 occurs.

For the first entrance in the NSSCRA the presidents personal club, the Timesteam, opened a racing branch.
Combining material from the military and top-notch Automotive industry companies, three cars were presented and engineered with and for the three selected drivers.

#51- Tex Crazy

Tex Crazy is known as a reckless, risky driver without remorse. Making his money and getting his reputation as brutal speeder in death races, he seems to be pretty emotionless outside the cockpit.
“He can be fun at parties, if you like mean people”, said a friend.
He got his qualification for the team as winner of the Rally Kriegiersien were he competed with his own build car.

His white Paladin car, with a leightweighted undestructablenium (new manufactured alloy) chassis and a powerful Zoomengine isn’t believed to reach the finish with the same colour.
Image

#52- Lee Shera

Working as an pyrotechnician and Pirate before, the Name Firestarter came naturally for the last winner of the Summer Stock Car Race Series in Kriegiersien.
Before getting into the racing team of her companion, who she once kidnapped on a raid as Pirate, burning things was her live. She later became the best driver in the Maurice racing team, known for her dicey racing style.
“I am getting tired, have to go faster before I faint”, is one of her best known comments in the pit radio.

The Bard with the Doomengine, painted red, is the car designed of Lee and her team, with her mate Maurice as chief engineer.
Image

#77- Depp Jones

Depp Jones has the advantage of being part of the Family of the President of Kriegiersien. Thanks to that wealth with the small start up money of 10 Million shiny things from his Dad, he was able to form the Jones Racing Team, that dominates since a decade the Formula 42 Championship in Kriegiersien.
He was able to position himself as driver in his own car, winning the last title after his teammates car exploded under suspicious circumstances in the last race, being in front until then and title holder for 5 years.

The Black Smurf 4000 was his choice of car, equipped with a powerful Gargamel Engine.

Direwolf Auto Team's expansion into three cars in the ninth season of the NSSCRA didn't bring them as much success as they had hoped, as the DNFs continued to pile up. They decided to ditch their third team, the #9. entering the tenth season, with its aging Sherpa driver Liuyong Xu shifting to a consultant role in the team. Direwolf's one charter also changed hands from Paul Nystrom to Tyler Linde, who while he didn't light the world on fire in his rookie season, has been capable of providing solid finishes whenever he does make the field. Linde had better finishes while driving for Nanchang in IRACT (the Sherpa series) however.

Then came the announcement of the creation of a second tier series. Nystrom, not wanting to spend time preparing for a race weekend only to fall short in qualifying, announced that he will drop down to that series, where he at least has a guaranteed chance to make the field each week. That left Direwolf with only one driver in the top tier - Linde. The team renumbered his car from #33 to #21, while Nystrom was free to pick the #25, his number in the Kanyean domestic series, for his second tier attempt.

Apocalypse Pest Control CEO Elbert Linde continued to support his son's racing career by having his company be Tyler's primary sponsor. Adhesive brand Drawk Seal (OOC: Permission for name granted by Drawkland through TG) jumps on as a secondary.

#21 Tyler Linde - Apocalypse Pest Control (speedways and superspeedways, including Exhibition)

#21 Tyler Linde - Drawk Seal (short tracks and road courses)

Image
Tyler Linde as a driver has plenty of talent, but at twenty and in only his second year in the NSSCRA, he's still a little "raw". He can be a little daring with his moves, which sometimes pay off, but sometimes he's the one who has to pay. Linde tries to maintain good relationships with the other drivers, especially the younger ones. Some say that he has a crush on St. Kanye's Thea Alvarez, but he has neither confirmed nor denied the rumors. He has also learned the hard way that Valentina Aye is not to be messed with, and tries to be as polite as possible when speaking to her.

Linde is aware that he is not yet as well-known as the rest of the field (his surname on the entry list at the NSSCRA website is written as "Lynde", though he just laughed it off), so the reason for his efforts is to make a name for himself.

Yulha Sherpa College (sometimes called YSCD for short) is the Sherpa Empire's most prestigious school for the Deaf. It also controls an NSSCRA charter, which is used to create internship opportunities for students. This season, student interns will be included in the YSCD pit crew as well as working alongside Beihua journalists to document the season. The YSCD NSSCRA team was founded by former students Tsering Chu and Mendok Sherpa.

The school's participation in NSSCRA has raised its public profile, and they have recently seen a dramatic increase in admissions applications from non-Deaf students. School administrators and members of the Deaf community are still debating the pros and cons of the increased publicity. Some see it as an opportunity to raise awareness about Deaf culture and issues facing the Deaf community, while others see it as an intrusion into their spaces.

Driver Profile:
Tsering Chu

Age: 22
Hometown: Nanjing, Jiangsu Territory (currently living in Guilin, Guangxi)
Car: TMW Phoenix
Sponsors: Yulha Sherpa College for the Deaf, Khamdo Electronics, Kinetik Energy Drinks, Prana, Srivatsa Solar, Highland Tire, Petrohan, TMW
Background:

Tsering Chu started her racing career in IRACT before appearing in NSSCRA 7. In that season of NSSCRA, she showed flashes of brilliance, including a win at the Pink Love 350 -- but she was not consistent enough to go deep into the Chase. After taking some time off to finish her education and start a family, she is ready to return to NSSCRA for her second season of full-time competition. She recently graduated from YSCD, she is married to former NSSCRA champion Kai Qiang, and they have a newborn daughter named Sima.

Chu is Deaf and uses a custom-made comms system to communicate with her pit crew via buttons or video. The comms system was created in collaboration with team sponsor Khamdo Electronics.

Even if she didn't need an interpreter to talk to the press, Chu probably wouldn't blather too much. She's kind of shy. She likes the excitement of racing, but she also values her quiet time between races. She doesn't post a lot on social media -- even though her English is good enough -- because she just doesn't want the drama.

Team Dunneot GT
Previously on NSSCRA: TBP

The Dunneot GT team returns for another season where they will provide support for three cars in NSSCRA. The sports division of the Lisanderian manufacturer, much less wealthy than Camden and with much less sponsor support than Harlean, returns to the NSSCRA after a hiatus season due to the economic problems Lisander faced during the six months without a Prime Minister (The same ones that hit Bitten Heroes Academy in WGP2) The three drivers will once again drive the fairing of Dunneot Anera, the company's mid-sedan. For this season, Lício Granado will have a permanent charter in the first division, while Andrew Holden and Mor Holstein will race for the new second category.

This is a work in progress. Drivers, liveries and other info will be here as soon as possible.
The Principality of Lisander, a sports loving, very highly developed nation in Astyria.
Disappointing people and missing deadlines since 2013.
