Recently implemented technological innovations, combined with a bunkering shortage, have led to the significant overproduction of petrochemicals, far exceeding domestic demand. In order to prevent collapse of this industry the Republic of Pine Petroleum and Energy Consortium (ROPPEC), a state owned company, has been authorized to release surplus products for international sale. Prices reflect the cost of production and quantities are limited to stock on hand, no special export taxes will be applied. All steel drum deposits will be waived and bulk purchases (the entire stock of a single item) will receive a 10% discount.
