"Look around you. Is the world more peaceful since the revolution? I see nothing but death and chaos."
- The Client

Galactic Map | Fondor Station | IC | Rules| Factions Map

The destruction of the second death star six months ago has been the death knell of the Empire, but the war is not over. Chaos reigns throughout the galaxy as the power vacuum is filled by warlords and mercenaries. A New Republic begins to form, struggling to gain influence in a galaxy of destruction. Meanwhile, forces of the ARR continue to beat back the Empire, gaining the all important core worlds. Who will you be? The brave soldier of the NR? A member of the once proud Imperial Navy? A pirate, struggling to survive in the unforgiving outer rim? It's up to you.

New Technologies:

EF 83 Nebulon B - KDY
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nz13rwQpUd4&t=474s
Originally designed sometime before the battle of Yavin, the design and the original production models were mothballed, in favor of designs in line with the Tarkin doctrine.
In 0 ABY, KDY was ordered to start serial production of these vessels to increase defense against ARR raids and act as a heavy support ship for SD task groups as a stopgap measure.

The Inclusor Class Cruiser - KDY
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZLAtGu3-98&t=185s
Often called the "child" of the Imperial Class Star Destroyer, the Incursor was a project, commissioned and deployed very early in the Imperial fleets history. Intended to function as a stopgap unit that would be deployed to sectors and threats that did not merit the deployment of an Imperial Class Star destroyer.
Although the concept was feasible and the Incursor was not a bad design or a ship without use or merit, it was a victim of the Tarkin Doctrine and serial production of the ship halted in 10 BBY, with relative small numbers of the ship ever being built.
With a robust communications and sensor array, the Incursor class cruiser, a 620 meter long ship with extra powerful weapons for a ship of its size, is perfect for occupying fringe worlds, and conducting hit-and-run attacks. It’s hangar bays can hold up to a squadron of TIEs, a Lambda-class shuttle, and several TIE troop transports, enough to single-handedly maintain control over an entire system. The ship’s two heavy laser cannon and 4 medium turbolaser turrets can inflict substantial damage to enemy ships.

Stats:

Length: 620 m

Width: 100 m

Height: 100 m

Armament: 4 twin medium turbolaser turrets, 2 single heavy turbolaser turrets, 24 laser cannon, 2 tractor beam emitters.

Engines: 7 KMX-12H main engines, 4 XXB-4A sublights.

Hyperdrive: Class 1.4.

Complement: 8 TIE-ln fighters, 1 Lambda-class shuttle, 3 TIE-tr troop transports.

MC 83 Nebulon B - Mon Calamari (Mon Calamari redesign of the KDY Nebulon project, blatantly in breach of patents and Intellectual property laws. Expect the ship to be pulled over and impounded.)
Canon Rebel Nebulon B, which is a cheaper, easier to construct version of the KDY Nebulon B.
During daring raids on Imperial Mothball and recycling yards, several of the incomplete or partial decommissioned Nebulon B ships were stolen and fitted by the Mon Calamari to serve in the ARR fleet.
Finding the design cheap to build and the frame suitable in speed and moddability for the varied uses of the rebellion, the Mon Calamari shipyards have begun serial production of a knock off version of their own making, nicknamed the MC 83 Nebulon B.

Victory III Class Star Destroyer - KDY
A refit undergoing just before the battle of Endor, this project attempted to upgrade the aging VSD 1s to the standard of the VSD 2 model. The resulting ship combined the heavy missile firepower of the VSD 1 with the speed and additional shielding of the VSD 2, resulting in a powerful model of the craft.
It is an often requested upgrade package, but once again, the tarkin doctrine ensured KDY priorities often ensured Victory I Class SD's were more often scrapped, rather than being eligable for recieving the upgrade package.
KDY also used the upgrade package as a test bed for possible improvements across the Star Destroyer line. These experimental improvements Included more automated systems, centralised gunnery systems, improved energy distribution and control mechanism amongst hundreds of other improvements large and small. These ensured, amongst other things, the reduction fo the required crew compliment on the Victory III Class, compared to its sister ships.

Strigida class stealth cruiser
An extremely powerful heavy cruiser built in absolute secrecy deep in the Tetan dockyards, this ship is the cinch pin in the Tetan naval strategy. While having only light armour and shields, and little to no point defense or conventional turbolasers, this craft is equipped with an extremely experimental cloaking device stolen from shipments to the Emperor’s personal vaults on Byss. However, due to the shield baffling nature of this device the Strigida must lower the cloak to fire its main weapons, 30 high power, long range concussion missile launchers. Alongside those weapons the Strigida has 7 Medium Turbolaser turrets, and five-point defense cannons. While 25 basic hulls have been completed of the class by this point, only four mount the experimental cloaking device, and the others are in various states of completion, awaiting mainly a new supply of Adegan crystals. Only 3 others are crewed at this point.

Weapons: 6x Dual MTLs, 30x long range concussion missile tubes, 5x Point Defense Cannons.

Crew: 2, 000 enlisted, 900 boarding troops, 500 specialist gunners, 50 engineering specialists

Hyperdrive rating: 4 while in cloak, 1.6 while without cloaking device

Communications: While in cloak communications are limited to a 30 light minute tightbeam, while out of cloak it mounts a powerful Holonet transponder.

Name: Liu Bao Rui
Faction: New Republic
Appearance: Liu Bao Rui stands a height of 6 feet. Covering the right side of his face and neck are the burn scars that he received as a child. While on duty, Liu Bao Rui wears his old Galatic Republic uniform
Personality: Liu Bao Rui is known among his men to be both kind and fair. It isn't uncommon to see Liu Bao Rui walking alongside the enlisted members of his crew while amiably chatting like they were old friends. He is, however, known to be a harsh disciplinarian and is known to dish out harsh punishments to anyone in the crew, no matter their rank or connections. That particular trait had caused him to alienate a super minority of his former subordinates when he was still a part of the Guard d'Azure. He is a diligent and cautious man, constantly worrying over the most menial of issues. He is willing to listen to superior officers as long as it kept his crew safe.
Skills: A skilled naval officer specialized in large scale naval engagements. He was one of the most talented graduates of the College for Planetary Security Forces, graduating within the top ten in the academy. While he is skilled as a naval officer, he is also capable of personal combat, especially with a vibrosword.
Weapon: A Vibrosword and a DH-17 blaster pistol
Ship (If you have one): Emancipator A Imperial I star destroyer
Rank (If you have one): Admiral
Bio:
Born on the fortress world of Anaxes, which was once known as the defender of the core, Liu Bao Rui was expected ever since birth to join the Guard d'Azure as his forefathers had before him. His family was one of the most influential and storied on the planet, with their family name synonymous with naval service. Like many families with a rich naval history, they owned an estate in the Sirpar hills. Due to their family's history, influence, personal brilliance, his father was a commodore within the Guard d'Azure. His flagship, eternal peace, was one of three Procurator class star battle cruisers that were active in the Guard d'Azure. The ship had been apart of their family for nearly one hundred years. His mother was an instructor in the College of Planetary Security Forces, which is on the Anaxes Citadel. His elder brother was a student in college by the time Liu Bao Rui turned 5. Like his father, his elder brother was considered a skilled naval commander and tactician. Growing up, Liu Bao Rui was feed stories about his ancestors, who helped defend the Republic from the sith and various other threats. His father, when he was home, would always tell him stories about his adventures, such as fighting off pirates when he survived in the judiciary forces of the Republic.

As a teenager growing up on Anaxes, his parents taught him much about the history of the planet and its proud naval traditions. During his offtime, he would practice sword fighting. Since he was a regular human, this was a hobby more than anything serious. After all, what could a human vibrosword user do against a crowd or mob armed with slugthrower or laser weaponry? Despite his informal training, he would become talented enough for his family to hire an instructor to train him in using a vibrosword. During this period, his skills with the vibrosword improved leaps and bounds. By the age of 16, he was one of the most talented duelists in the nearby region. It was during one of these training sessions that he would suffer a horrendous injury. He had left his guard open due to arrogance. Due to that arrogance, he failed to see a strike aimed at his chest. The excruciating pain caused him to faint, and when he awoke, he was in his family's estate. The gash had healed by the time he awoke, but it left a permanent scar and taught a lesson to the young man.

In 34 BBY, the same year that he would enter the College of Planetary Security Forces, the battle of Malastare Narrows occurred. For Liu Bao Rui, this showcased just how weak the Republic had become, and as an adult, he would support the military creation act. During his time in the academy, he was a diligent student, listening and taking notes during every lecture and lesson. During exams and mock battles, he would consistently rank among the top of his class, and by the time graduation came, he was ranked number five in his class. He joined the Guard d'Azure as a Junior Lieutenant serving aboard a dreadnaught heavy cruiser. His family's political influence and his skills helped him quickly move through the ranks, reaching the rank of captain by the age of 26. He was to command a CR70 Corvette. The corvette would be his flagship until he became a Lieutenant Commander at the age of 28. After that, he would be given the command of a Dreadnought class heavy cruiser. Despite the militaristic traditions of the planet, he had little to no real combat experience before the outbreak of the clone wars. He would occasionally stop smugglers, but other than that, the core proved to be a peaceful place. During this time, the separationist movement was increasingly becoming more worrisome. He did not understand how loyal Republican citizens and planets were willing to break away from the Republic and pledge allegiance to another man. It was treason, and he was not the only one that felt that way. It was no surprise to him and his family when the first battle of Geonosis happened. His father would pay for the Eternal Flame back to the Kaut drive yards for it to be refitted for war, while Liu Bao Rui and his brother were commissioned as Commodore and Rear Admiral respectively. His father would send the procurator to be refitted at the Kaut Driveyards. His father was commissioned as an Admiral in the navy of the Republic.

Liu Bao Rui would be a part of several major engagements during the Clone wars including the battle of Christophsis, where he would be apart of the relief forces sent to aid Jedi General Anakin Skywalker and Admiral Wulf Yularen. He would perform admirably during this battle and would be promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral. His father's procurator would be finished refitting in 20 BBY. His new flagship, Swift Winds, would take part in the Malevolence campaign. These battles gave the young rear Admiral the experience he needed, along with showing him the truth about war. In 19 BBY, with the establishment of the Empire, Liu Bao Rui felt betrayed by the chancellor that he had once supported. Despite this, in the same year, he was promoted for his actions during and after the malevolence campaign. The Jedi, while no friends of his, were a stabilizing force in the galaxy, and he failed to see how they would revolt against the very Republic that they had fought for and defended for several millennia. He was further outraged when many generationals were demoted or outright replaced with what he saw as incompetent naval officers. He would continue to serve the new Empire, as it was his duty, but the longer he served, the more disgruntled he became. In 10 BBY, he would be contacted by a local rebel cell asking him to desert. Despite, his dissatisfaction with the Empire, he still believed in the Empire and the peace and stability it brought with it. He quickly rose through the ranks to become a vice Admiral in 9 BBY, though he grew increasingly hostile towards the dogma of the Emperor and Empire.

In 5 BBY, his dissatisfaction with the Empire reached a boiling point, and he resigned from his position and left for his home world of Anaxes. After returning to his homeworld of Annaxes, he took all the credits he could, before contacting the local rebel cell and officially joined the alliance to restore the republic. That same rebel cell would leave He would be given one of the few CR90s. In 3 BBY, they would meet up with the main rebel fleet, and he was given the rank of commodore and was given command of a dreadnaught class heavy cruiser. His dreadnought class heavy cruiser was destroyed during a skirmish against an Imperial patrol in 2 ABY, and he was one of the lucky few who managed to escape. With the destruction of his ship, he would lay low for a while, before reestablishing contact with the main alliance cell in 3 ABY. During the battle of Endor, he would lead an MC75, but due to the foreign design, he didn't know how to operate the ship effectively. During this battle, he would relegate command of the ship to his XO, who was more familiar with the ship. He would witness the destruction of the second death star from his bridge. After the battle of Endor, he would be given the command of Emancipator, an Imperial Star destroyer 1, after which was captured by general Han Solo during the Battle of Endor. He was also given the rank of Admiral due to his experience.

Name: Jeremiah Dawntreader

Appearance: 50 years old, grey hair, male, white, tall, etc.

Personality: Rather ruthless, but loyal. On several occasions, Jeremiah has “forcibly extracted” a confession from a possible informant among his ranks. He doesn’t like formal conversation, speaking almost entirely in either concise orders or single syllables, and has been known to lose his temper when a soldier does something royally dumb, but generally he comports himself like the officer he was for a brief period of time. He rarely shows emotion, (again, the military background) but has a very fine line whereupon, if pushed over, he will explode. Jeremiah suffers from no mental illness.

Skills/Powers: Jeremiah is an excellent shot with most weapons, great tactician, and an amazing mechanic and pilot. He speaks only galactic basic.

Biography: Born on Coruscant to an unhappy middle-class family, Jeremiah was the third child, and a troublemaker from the start. He frequently missed out on school and occasionally got himself in fights. Then one day when he was seven, several ARC-130s did a flyover as part of a celebration for a military victory, and watching them loop and twist, Jeremiah decided right then and there that he was going to fly. He actually put some effort into his school work, and although he still didn’t do all that well, he learned.

At age 13, fed up with the constant fighting in his home, he ran away, bought a Starhopper, and flew off to Correllia. He started business as a mechanic just outside Coronet City. In this endeavor he was quite successful, making a good sum of money, but never dampening his dream of being a pilot. He eventually bought the Twilight's Gleam from a family friend living on Corellia.

Dawntreader always looked up to the Jedi, but never even considered trying to join them. In his mind, the Force wasn’t a power, but more of a mindset that helped you fight better. He also liked the Republic for it’s democratic system, but thought it was too much of a bureaucracy. That didn’t keep him from hating the Confederacy. Jeremiah began putting together a crew and buying modifications for the ship, and hoped to join the clone wars as a privateer on the side of the Republic. In need of wiling and able troops, the Republic accepted his crew, and placed them in charge of a small volunteer task force.

His stint wrecking the CIS lasted only several weeks, ending when Palpatine seized power. After Order 66 and the collapse of the Republic, fearing retribution due to his profession, he and his crew retreated to space near the Maw Cluster, finding XB-4723 there. They landed the ship and began working on the asteroid, quickly setting up a large shield around it to create an atmosphere, and building large landing pads.

Throughout most of the Galactic Civil War, Dawntreader supported the ARR, but didn’t officially join them. This changed after the third attack on XB-4723. After repairs were completed, Dawntreader realized his operation could not survive without joining the rebels. The Alliance, in need of additional ships and crew, accepted his proposition. The Consortium’s first attack with the rebels was the Battle of Endor, where his flagship destroyed numerous ties and dealt significant damage to the [i]Devastator[i], leaving it open to the attack by Blade squadron that finally ended it. After the battle ended, his and his fleet’s service was rewarded with several damaged fighters and two new CR-90s. The fighters the Consortium repaired, and now are in active service with Twilight Flight.

Ship: Darklighter’s pride and joy, the Twilight’s Gleam, is a modified CR-90 with a hangar bay, additional engines, and single turbolasers replaced with quad laser cannons. The ship is sparsely adorned, with all modifications focused on improving combat ability.

Rank: Commander, Jeremiah is the commander of the whole TC, and oversees all parts of the Consortium’s operations.

Faction Name: Twilight Consortium

Number of Members: 20,000

2 ISD, 1 Immobilizer 418 cruiser, 3 Incursor-class Cruiser, 5 CR-90 corvettes, 3 Sphyrna-class corvettes, 1 YT-1300 freighter, 2 VCX-100 freighter, 2 VCX Auxiliary shuttle.

Starfighter squadrons: (6 fighters each)
8 Z-29 Headhunter, 6 Y-wing, 13 A-Wing, 10 T-65 X-Wing, 1 B-Wing.

Description: Pirate organization/Scavengers
Backstory(How your faction Came about):

Founded twelve years ago, after the crew of the Twilight’s Gleam landed on XB-4723, Twilight Consortium operates off of the asteroid. Originally just the CR-90 and her crew, they began setting up a spy network to plan their raids. Their first lead was an Imperial Gozanti-class cruiser dropping off fighters at an old outpost on Prishella III. They intercepted the ship at the jump point in the Zerm system, pretending to be a vessel in distress. When the Imperial ship moved closer, the CR-90 engaged, quickly cutting their comms and damaging the shields. The Gozanti launched it’s fighters, but they were no match for the gunners on the Twilight’s Gleam’s laser cannons. Within minutes the ship was disabled, whereupon the pirates boarded, seizing some cargo and making off.

The Consortium expanded greatly, and frequently raided Imperial cargo ships before and during the GCW. The Consortium got most of it’s ships and equipment have by salvaging from space battles and through the black market. In fact, the Consortium operates a small black market, and maintains a cordial relationship with Hondo’s network. The Consortium also maintains several spies and informants at important waypoints and intersections along major hyper routes and intersections.

One of the most important operations of the Consortium was a raid at a transfer on Junkfort Station. The Imperials were moving several million credit’s worth of coaxium from one cargo hauler to another when Twilight’s Fleet dropped out of hyperspace. In the ensuing battle, much of the coaxium was destroyed in a damaged cargo hauler when it tried to jump to hyperspace, destroying the reactor and causing the ship to explode. A good deal of coaxium still came back, in addition to assorted foodstuffs and other equipment, when the Consortium returned to the platform.

Twilight Consortium has been directly attacked three times. The first time, the Imperials sent three Arquitens-class light cruisers, which the base’s turbolasers made short work of, the base sustaining only minor damage to the shields. The second time, another trio of cruisers, but they were complemented with a brand new ISD. The Imperials fled only after all the cruisers were destroyed, and the Star Destroyer had taken significant damage to the shields. The toll on the Consortium was high, but not a kill blow. They had lost a brand new C-ROC cruiser, sustained heavy damage to the shields of the base, several fighters had been obliterated, and even the Twilight’s Gleam was grounded for a while while repairs were underway. The third time was after the battle of Hoth, and the Empire sent in two Star Destroyers, which caused significant damage, destroying many of the Consortium’s secret projects, however, the TIE model we had survived, and is being tested for deployment. The Imperials left when the rebel alliance responded to our distress signal and sent a Mon Cala cruiser to the Consortium’s aid. This led to the Consortium’s working for the alliance for the rest of the war. The Consortium continues the fight against the Empire, attacking Imperial holdouts frequently, including a recent raid on the Pentastar Alignment that cost the Imps an Incursor-class cruiser. Their forces are now vastly expanded due to their raiding.

About the Incursor-class cruiser:

With a robust communications and sensor array, the Incursor class cruiser, a 620 meter long ship with extra powerful weapons for a ship of it’s size, is perfect for occupying fringe worlds, and conducting hit-and-run attacks. It’s hangar bays can hold up to a squadron of TIEs, a Lambda-class shuttle, and several TIE troop transports, enough to single-handedly maintain control over an entire system. The ship’s two heavy laser cannon and 4 medium turbolaser turrets can inflict substantial damage to enemy ships.

Stats:

Length: 620 m

Width: 100 m

Height: 100 m

Armament: 4 twin medium turbolaser turrets, 2 single heavy turbolaser turrets, 24 laser cannon, 2 tractor beam emitters.

Engines: 7 KMX-12H main engines, 4 XXB-4A sublights.

Hyperdrive: Class 1.4.

Complement: 8 TIE-ln fighters, 1 Lambda-class shuttle, 3 TIE-tr troop transports.

I have a bit of free time on my hands, I'd be willing to give this a try. A few questions first, if I may.

I'd be going Imperial remnant / Fighting to retain a portion of the Empire as it were, but I'd need some info to prepare.

In terms of extent of the Factions, who controls Fondor, Kuat or the other major shipbuilding worlds? does the New republic control all these worlds?
In the original extended universe, the Imperial remnant held sway over major worlds for significant periods of time, giving them major shipbuilding worlds and population centers to sustain the campaign against the rebellion and the other warlords. If they are pushed back to elements of the Rim, things would be beyond bleak. :/

Do we have leeway in terms of using former/current suriving Inquisitors or Dark Jedi types of a sort? Or do you intend these to be minimal in number and scope?

Are you looking for small factions (IE: A small remnant fleet) or someone picking up the banner of a proper Remnant warlord or even an Imperial continuation or Successor faction with control of a sizable portion of the surviving Imperial fleet? (If corrusant, Kuat and other major Imperial strongholds are gone, their would be little left but Imperial remnant/minor warlords left, I imagine.)

I suppose one could start the game by starting a proper counter-offensive, control over a major shipyard and resources would be a minimum to wage what has now essentially turned into a galactic war beyond the scale of the Clone wars. A Thrawn feel of sorts, I imagine.

You would probably still have Kaut, although Fondor might already be in New Republic hands. I guess this would depend if the Author decides to go the legend, cannon, or in-between route.

I am interested.

It'll take a bit for any writing but currently thinking off an Inperial Remnant fleet with some level of competence. Smaller, though, considering the TC's level of strength. Should be fun.

I will wait for OP to answer my questions before I start brainstorming my faction. I'll very likely go Imperial remnant or successor faction, but I'd need some details before crafting my app.

The state of the Core worlds and what the new republic owns and what a successor faction might claim is important to see to what scale the Imperial remnant can operate in terms of being relegated to resistance tactics or having the possibility to still wage some form of traditional war.

My character might or might not face yours depending on whether the op decides that he should be operating in the outer rim or push for the core. For Imperial Remnant/Imperial Warlord, are you going to operate mainly in the core? How large would it be? The size of Warlord Zsinj's or the size of a smaller Imperial warlord's?

Holding portions of the Core is a neccesity for the Imperial remnant for long term longevity I believe. Most of the worlds that would be Loyal to Imperial rule would be in the Core itself. The further in the Outer Rim, the more the Imperial rule can be described as despotic and evil, which would make finding loyal recruits, supplies and safe zones more difficult.

What I would play depends on OP in terms of howmany warlords are their, how large are they, how large is the new republic, what options to the warlord players have, etc, etc.

After considering it all, I think I will play a very simple part with a very simple question.

What if Zero Command had been far more...aggressive in it's deployment or, really, deployed at all?

I'll be getting it ready.

OP hasn't been online to check back for activity since he last came back.

I am looking for a star wars game something fierce. I'll wait a bit to see if OP comes back, otherwise I might run it myself if people are interested enough.

If OP doesn't come back, i'll take a look and see how i'm going to run it.

I didn't read much of the Extended universe books, so if it gets that far, we'll discuss it at that point.

I'm never a fan of just telling anyone "no", so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Fondor Kuat, and the Core are still Imperial Remnant at this point, small factions are awesome. The RP will begin with the NR attack on Fodor, if the members want.

We are mostly doing this EU, cuz I think the storyline's better, but no Yuzon-Vong or anything. I also will accept very limited fanon, (My incursor) but within reason.

“...My only complaint is that this guy seems to have plot armor thicker than the hull of a battleship. What’s this Holy Grail thing, anyway? I tried looking it up using foreign information networks but I kept seeing footage of knights being butchered by a rabbit... I don’t think that was a legitimate source.”

...and Josephus sorta started a nuclear war, so I'll just ignore the fact that Kakistopia has almost 50% of deaths due in some part to the God-Empress, and I'll also ignore that Josephus XII was raised as a child-soldier, and I'll say Josephus is the more horrible leader.
