Your favourite OST(s)

Postby Sanghyeok » Sun Nov 01, 2020 6:50 pm

What's your favourite OST(s) from a game, TV show, or movie? It can be a character theme, opening theme, BGM, or closing theme.

I can't think of my favourite right now, but here's one:

Departure!. The lyrics really resonate with my college life (especially with the current quarantine and all), and I always play it everytime I found myself demotivated in studying. Actually I should listen to it right now.

My favorite OST will always be the Opening 1 from Aldnoah Zero, here's a link.

Ace Combat 7 (as well as Ace Combat as a whole, I guess) would be nowhere nearly as good without its OST, especially with gems like "Charge Assault", "Daredevil", and "Hush".

Keiki Kobayashi is an absolute godsend and it was a travesty his music wasn't nominated during The Game Awards.

Chartreuse is my favorite color.

Ace combat Zero is definitely the best OST in the series, and my favorites from it have to be Avalon, Zero, and Near the Border. All of those are excellent in their own ways.

I have to say, Trigger's leitmotif in AC7 is my favorite string of music anywhere, but I legitimately teared up a bit at the sheer beauty of the singers and the awesomeness of the flamenco track in "Zero"; especially when it played during that epic final duel at the end of AC0

Magic Spear 1, anyone?

Honestly I actually like the Razgriz theme best of any Ace Combat track.

I find "Ghosts of Razgriz" to be a quintessentially-Ace Combat song that blends into the background just enough that it's not lost during the gameplay but not overpowering either. It's just a great vibe in general.

Even if it's not actually timed as a proper waltz, "Rocket Jump Waltz" is an amazing little jingle, and I wish it was a lot longer whenever it plays on the loading screen.

Stellaris. There is no better game soundtrack as far as I'm concerned. If space could have a sound, this OST is the closest humankind will ever come to hearing it. I actually don't listen it so much anymore because it makes me yearn for things I'll never be able to see.
