Jumping on to this, can we mark the 'Default' flag as the 'Australian Aboriginal' flag, because there are a few Aborigines on this site, I certainly can't speak for them, but speaking for myself, It deserves recognition if it is on the database

I think that leaves Afghanistan as the winner for your new nation idea :) I guess they're not too popular since 2001.

Note that a lot of nations are still using old images that are no longer accessible without URL manipulation, mostly due to inertia. I don't feel like doing a thorough cross-comparison with the actual selection box on the settings page, but I know that all current flags are .png rather than .jpg, that's why I filtered the latter out. I was going to give the list both with and without them, but I got "Your message contains 68579 characters. The maximum number of allowed characters is 60000.", and I didn't feel it was worth double-posting for. Oh well.

There's definitely some glitches left in the list, like "China.png" and "People's_Republic_of_China.png" being the exact same flag, but I'm not going to comb for those. They're more relevant to the most-used than least-used flags, which is what you were interested in.

The frequently-used flags have some surprises too. What the heck is a Chuuk? One of the four states of the Federated States of Micronesia, apparently. Wow, we have a flag for that!? I guess most players probably chose it because they liked the appearance of the flag rather than because they care about where it's from.

For what it's worth, 400 of the Chuuk nations are obvious puppets of the same player. Disqualifying them would still leave it in the top 20.

Yap has only 28 obvious puppets (says nothing about non-obvious ones), but the same player also has 33 Chuuk puppets (actually not counted in the 400 above, I think they're two different puppetmasters), and it seems similar numbers of every other flag too.

Thanks for this. I've replaced Russia and Mauritania flags, although this may not show up to individual users for a while due to various layers of image caching.

Also renamed Macedonia to North Macedonia due to Prespa Agreement.

Instead of adding the US states, prohaps just a few known/iocnic US flags in history, such as the 13 stars US flag and a few others that were the current design for a while in history, then it would be a lot smaller of a number of flags added. I also thought about the flags of the 13 colonies themselves, but it would be a little unfair not to include the 37 other states
If you want to send me any cards, best if you send it to this one, Holland DS6, I just need more bank on this account if I want to upgrade the limit, but I just keep wanting to buy cards worth more, cards I like or cards for a collection that I am working on, I already had a lot of cards in the catagory, so mind as well make it an official collection that I could possibly already complete. I try not to break the rules, so if I do it by accident, please just tell me mods, although it would have to be through the TG only for mods, like Ransium had to due to class region. I didn't really check for spellings, so it may be a little unclear, sorry. :P More in my factbook on card+gifts.

I would recommend changing the sorting so that provincial flags are listed as sub-items under their owning nations.

Also "Default", if it's still called that, should be the first item on the list, rather than sorted under D.

Here's a very basic mockup of what I mean:

Adding historical flags would open a whole new set of complications. The current policy has been to remove old flags when the nation changes to a new one (like what this very thread is about!), and there's some pretty famous historical flags that aren't on the list, such as the Soviet Union.

I think the problem with US states is that if you add one you'd have to add all fifty, and a great number of them are just boring. And that's before you even consider the effect of adding another fifty options to what's already a very long drop-down list.

If you are talking about having a custom flag, then that's not too difficult, but I'm guessing you mean an option where you pick from a group of flags that you personally pick or upload? Is this what you meant?
