Pursuant to our bid, we are giving the chance to all countries to bid for their stadiums to host AOCAF LXII knockout stage matches. While the Final is contracted to Banija, and the third place playoff to the Busoga Islands, applications to the hosting committee to host matches in the Round of 24, Round of 16, Quarterfinals, and Semifinals are open. The AOCAF LXII Hosting Committee is open to all submissions, provided they meet RBSA standards to host events at major tournaments.

All stadiums must be bidding with a natural grass playing surface. And the Hosting Committee will only consider stadiums that have a minimum fan capacity of 35,000. Countries may bid with as many stadiums as they want to host knockout stage matches. There are two ways to bid. 1, is via telegram. The second, is via a RP. Submissions will not be taken via Discord.

Minimum information required by the Hosting Committee about a stadium will be the following- Stadium name, stadium capacity, stadium city and country, and the host city's population. The Hosting Committee will welcome any and all information beyond the minimum that any candidate city deems fit to provide.

- Also, as a side note, please do not reserve posts. Only the host nations may reserve posts, and only for their basic IC information- everyone else is encouraged to use the draft feature on the boards if they must come back to their post later.

National Information

The Kingdom of Banija is a country that classifies itself as a semi-constitutional monarchy. A nation that is a member of Atlantian Oceania, it is led by the Kabaka(which translates to King), and the current monarch is Kabaka Mwanga. The Kabaka, alongside with the Waziri(translates to Foreign Minister), whom he picks and dismisses solely at his pleasure, is the Head of State and responsible for the country's foreign affairs. Upon reaching age 25, the Isebantu(Crown Prince), becomes the Waziri by constitutional right. The current Isebantu is Isebantu Mutungi. The full list of members of the Royal Family can be found here.

Kabaka Mwanga ascended into power after the assassination of his father, Kabaka Albert III during World Cup 82 Qualifying. This is, of course, a government with an elected element. The elected unicameral legislature is the Lukiiko(Parliament), and the Lukiiko is responsible for governance of domestic affairs. The Katikkiro(Prime Minister) is elected by the Lukiiko. Currently, the Social Democrats, Banija's most left-wing major party, has won the most recent elections, a strange notion for this traditionally conservative nation. Their biggest accomplishment to date is eliminating gender segregation laws in the country when it comes to collegiate and professional sports. The present Katikkiro is Kizza Makoni, whose two terms have provided the only periods of single party majority government in Banijan history. The established church is the Puritan Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, most commonly known as Puritan Mormonism. Well over 90% of Banijans identify as adherents to the state church, though freedom of religion is generally respected by the law and the populace. There is very little patience and open disdain, however, for atheism among the general populace.

Due to the massive influence of Puritan Mormonism in this nation, they are relatively socially conservative. Abortion in this country is outlawed unless the mother's life is in danger, and polygamy for males is legal. The church's Universal Call to Motherhood, which teaches that the destiny of each and every woman is to give birth to children and raise faithful Puritan Mormons, has heavily shaped the nation's view on the role of women in society, forming the basis for Banija's prior sports gender segregation laws in the first place. Consumption of alcohol and the recreational use of marijuana in Banija is legal. Due to Mormon tradition, however, the purchase/sale of coffee products is illegal within Banija- however, the consumption is not. Fans and teams are allowed to bring in their own coffee products as long as they are declared at customs, where it is then taxed per pound. Any attempt or effort to sell the product, however, can and will result in arrest.

Most people in the country speak both Olusanke, the local dialect, and English. There is a smattering of Korean spoken within the country, thanks to Banija's Quebecois roots. Banija's currency is the shilling. The exchange rate to the NationStates Dollar is 1,000 shillings to 1 NSD. Conversion kiosks will be available at all hotels and at airports to exchange your money, as well as any banks. However, using the NSDs directly to purchase items is only guaranteed at stadiums and hotels- vendors outside of stadiums or hotels are not required to accept NationStates Dollars. Fans are also advised that street vendors will only take cash, according to Banijan law- as an issue of security to prevent against credit card theft.

Of course, Banija is a developing country by modern economic standards. However, due to a recent discovery of large oil deposits in Hangaza, there is movement within the country on building better infrastructure. A general lack of development in Banija, we are a country with excellent sporting infrastructure, but little else. Most roads are dirt, and public transit within cities is via the boda boda, though each team will have a trio of 45 passenger busses to transport players, coaches, staff, family, etc... To and from the hotel to the games and practices. The climate of Banija has a lot of natural rainforest and jungle, which means that there is no winter, only wet season and dry season. Temperatures generally range at their coldest around 60 degrees Fahrenheit, and at their hottest around 110 degrees Fahrenheit. For the duration of the tournament, average high temperatures will range from 60 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit.

Banijans have a tendency of being relaxed about time. While, of course, things like flights and matches will run on time, this is something that is observed generally, especially at restaurants. It is considered standard to arrive about 15-20 minutes late for a restaurant reservation, which is something Banijan authorities would like to make note of for travelling fans and visitors to the country for this tournament. This is very true for hangouts with Banijans, dates, weddings, etc... Within the country.

The three major international airports within Banija are Istria International, Jinja City International, and Busukuma International. These serve the country's two largest cities, and the nation's capitol. All teams and dignitaries, upon their arrival to Banija, will fly into Gonzaga International Airport in Busukuma before reaching their final destination. Gonzaga International has long been known as the 'VIP' airport, catering to the royals, high-ranking government officials, and those deemed of special importance by the Government of the day. Jinja City's airport status was recently converted to international status after the discovery of oil within the Hangaza region. Like World Cup 83, All cities within the country hosting Cup of Harmony games will have their airports equipped with at least temporary international status, from the period of 10 days before the tournament begins to the period of 15 day after the Finals end.

In terms of food, Banijans are very heavy meat eaters, and you'll find plenty of chicken, goat meat, beef, pork, and turkey options on your localized menus. In terms of non-meats, popular staple foods are jollof, matoke, Chapati, a rolex, and samosas. Strictly vegan restaurants within the country, outside of Istria and Busukuma, are almost non-existent, though of course you'll find non-meat options everywhere.

Locations

Istria, Moravica
Banija's largest port and largest city by population, this is in the Moravica region, in Northwestern Banija. It is a city of 3 million people, and it is known as Banija's economic capitol. It is largely considered Banija's most diverse city. Historically, this city served as the second capitol city of the Kasanke Tribe, the historical predecessors of the modern Banijan nation. It is one of two Banijan cities with a major foreign population- the other being the nation's capitol, Busukuma. It has risen in status since its designation as an Olympic City, having co-hosted the XIV Summer Olympiad with Orean, Liventia. Nearly a third of the city holds citizenship of a country other than Banijan. More of those come from the Royal Kingdom of Quebec or the Busoga Islands, but people come from all over Atlantian Oceania and the rest of the multiverse. It is also known as Banija's wealthiest city and primary economic hub. It is home to Banija's oldest university, the University of Loyola-Istria, and to the country's biggest airport.

Two seperate stadia shall be used from this city.

Stadium- Kabonero III Field
Image

The first stadium in Istria is Kabonero III Field, with a capacity of 48,000. The stadium is named after Kabonero III, the monarch who united the country's modern day territory under his rule, and the first to rule the country with the name Banija. There was controversy when Banija hosted the Baptism of Fire as this stadium was not selected to host matches in that, due to a failure between the RBSA and Istria City FC, the stadium's operators, to reach an agreement on revenue splitting. This failure happened again at Cup of Harmony 76. However, one was reached for this tournament, and Kabonero III Stadium will host games at this tournament. The stadium is located on the city's oceanfront, and is considered to be on the city's best real estate.

Istria Olympic Stadium
Image

The second stadium being used in Istria is the Istria Olympic Stadium, with a capacity of 80,000. Per implication by the stadium name, this was the designated main stadium on the Istria side for the XIV Summer Olympiad. The stadium played host to the tournament's track and field events, as well as select games in both association and gridiron football. The Olympic Stadium is brand new, and this is the stadium's first time being used as a sporting tournament other than the AOCAFs.

Herzegovina City, Moravica
Banija's oldest city, the city by its current name is over 800 years old, when it was first conquered by the Kasanke people. It is a city with a population of 1 million people. It is the heart of the Puritan Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The national religion was started in this city, and the church's world headquarters, the Herzegovina Temple, is the multiverse's largest Puritan Mormon church. The Bishop of this church, formally titled the Patriarch of Herzegovina, is the most senior member of the church, and the joint head of the global church, alongside His Majesty, the Kabaka. It is home to Banija's largest university, Northern Moravica University. It served as the seat of government for the Kasanke Tribe. It is also the capitol city of the Moravica region. As the original home of the predecessors of the Banijan monarchs, all reigning monarchs are buried on the grounds of the Herzegovina Temple.

Herzegovina City had their own airport finally open just prior to World Cup 83. It is not the largest airport, and much traffic is still directed through Istria. Still, it has permanent international status, and is a city looking to continuously place themselves on the map.

Stadium- Star Field
Image

The stadium in Herzegovina City is Star Field, and it has a seating capacity of 70,000. This stadium was, of course, a shoe-in to host games- when you consider capacity, ease of transportation, and size of the city, it was a no brainer. The stadium is home to Herzegovina City FC, Banija's most successful side since the establishment of the BSL. The stadium has long hosted major events, including two World Cup Quarterfinals and an AOCAF LVIII quarterfinal.

Mynda, Aksum
As mentioned above, there was a lot of debate over the last four stadiums that would be picked. Which ones would they be? With legitimately competitive bids from 7 different stadiums to be in that final group of four, of course, there were bound to be disappointed cities and regions. Aissa, the regional capitol of Hangaza, was chosen to host matches in the last World Cup thanks to their large stadium, but this time around, the Banijan half of the host committee wanted to go in a different direction. Look at a much larger city, even if it has a smaller stadium. Mynda is the country's 6th largest city, with an urban population of about 855,000 people, and it is the largest city in the Aksum region.

Stadium- Electra Stadium
Image

Electra Stadium has a capacity of 47,000 for the tournament, a permanent expansion from its former 41,000 seating capacity. Electra Stadium is the home to Mynda Electra, and both are owned by Electra, a public utility company from Damukuni. This team was the first ever foreign owned team in the Banijan Soccer League, purchased before Dukuma SC was purchased by an Al Qurijan family, and before Fadron Pizza's purchase of the Busembe Timberwolves.

Busukuma, National Capitol Region
This is the nation's capitol, located on the country's Southern coastline. Puritan Mormons believe that their God told the-then chief of the Kasanke, Kabonero III, that he should conquer all of the land that is currently Banija, gave the country it's name(therefore killing the name of the Kasanke nation), and put the capitol in the South. He did it, made Busukuma the capitol, and declared himself Banija's first Maharaja, or Emperor. As the nation's capitol for over 400 years, the city has been the spot for many major events in Banijan history, and the seat of plenty of foreign embassies, a large foreign population, and Banija's first airport.

The city, of course, is known for having two airports- the public, international airport, called Busukuma International, and also the non-public airport, named Gonzaga International Airport- reserved for the royal family and their guests, elected national politicians, foreign diplomats, and the point of entry for high-ranking officials to avoid the general public. Heads of State/Government, Foreign Ministers, AOCAF officials, host committee members, and national teams, upon their first arrival into Banija, will fly into Gonzaga International.

Stadium of the Restoration
Image

The national stadium, the Stadium of the Restoration, sits 91,835. It is the country's largest soccer stadium, and, of course, it is the national stadium. On the stadium's site, in 1835, the Banijan monarchy was restored at this site in Banija's first declaration of independence from the Royal Kingdom of Quebec. When the RBSA was formed, it was the obvious site to build the national stadium. The original facility sat 69,000, and was then, as it is now, Banija's largest soccer stadium. It was home to the Banijan national soccer and gridiron teams, and hosted plenty of international tournaments, including the Finals of a UICA Globe Cup, World Bowl and a Baptism of Fire. However, the ageing facility needed to be rebuilt so that one could fit the WCC's 80,000 seater minimum requirement to host a World Cup opening match, as required when the country co-hosted World Cup 81.

The bid from AEP, an architectural firm from Siovanija & Teusland, won the bid to build a new Stadium of the Restoration on the same site in time for World Cup 81. The brand new stadium's capacity, according to the bid, is a nod to Banija's history, of the year that made the site famous in 1835. It has a retractable natural grass surface, used for soccer, and a retractable articifial turf surface, used for gridiron football and during ceremonies like coronations. There are no gaps between the stands, while the South Stand is a single tier, designed to amplify crowd noise. The stadium contains 35 suites, 1 of which is always reserved for RBSA executives, and the second always received for His Majesty, the Kabaka.

Since the rebuild, of course, it hosted both the opening match and one of the semifinals of both World Cup 81 and World Cup 83, the AOCAF LVIII Final, the CoH 76 Final, as well as the coronation ceremony of Kabaka Mwanga.

Busembe, Kitara
Busembe is the biggest city of the Kitara Region, with nearly 300,000 people within the city limits. It is, of course, on the country's west coast- but not a port city, like Istria, Herzegovina City, or Busukuma. The city, in fact, isn't what's memorable. The reason it was chosen, of course, was because of the stadium. The Kitara Region is known as Banija's hottest region, however, and so that means expect both the temperatures and the humidity to climb very high in games that are played at The Wolf's Den.

Stadium- Tiones Lumber Field at the Wolf's Den
Image

The stadium's name pays homage to the stadium's operators, the Busembe Timberwolves of the Banijan Soccer League. It has a capacity of 44,000, so it is one of the smaller stadiums awarded AOCAF matches- however, it is also seen as one of Banija's highest quality stadiums. It is one of Banija's most intimate stadiums, with the fans being extremely close to the field. The intimacy, as well as ease of access from Busukuma International Airport(just a 45 minute train ride to the Northwest) are some of the major reason why this stadium was chosen. The Stadium, as well as the team, is owned by Taeshani pizza company Fadron Pizza, one of three foreign owned sides in Banijan domestic football. The stadium is sponsored by Tiones Lumber, a lumber company from the Vilitan Cove.

Jinja City, Hangaza
This city of 2 million people is Banija's largest inland city, and the second largest city in the entire country, in terms of population. This city is the economic center of the Hangaza region, even if its political capitol lies towards the East, in Aissa. Being an inland city, of course, it is not know for its diversity- nearly the entire city are native Banijans, even if many are from rural Hangaza. Historically, the city is known for being the spiritual home of one of Banija's minority ethnic groups- the Akamba. It is also sight of the first battle of the Kasanke conquest, when they moved from the Moravican coast to take over the entirety of what is now Banija.

Stadium- BCEL Stadium
Image

This stadium has a capacity of 52,400. Sponsored by the soft drink company BCEL from Baker Park. It was built to attract matches for the previous Baptism of Fire, and is considered one of Banija's premier stadiums. It is home to Banijan club Jinja City FC, one of Banija's Super 5 clubs. The stadium has consistently been known to host major matches at international tournaments.

Aissa, Hangaza
The Hangaza region, of course, will play host to two AOCAF Phase 2 groups. The region, dominated economically by its economic core in Jinja City, will provide a second host city, in its regional capitol, Aissa. A city of 477,000, it is nothing remarkable on its own. This is a notoriously difficult city to access, just a few miles from the country's eastern border with Geisenfred. It is a one hour bus ride from Jinja City, although people will certainly be able to fly directly into the city.

Stadium- Hangaza Unified Stadium
Image

This is stadium is not that new, but has a capacity of 55,000. It is the largest stadium for a team that is not in the Super 5, showing how even though they have high attendance and strong fan support, that doesn't always translate towards on-field success. Even though it's not that large of a city, the stadium has always been an excellent piece of infrastructure, right on the outskirts of the regional capitol.

Dodoma, Bunyoro
The Bunyoro Region got a rude awakening with Bwubanza City Soccer Club's recent relegation, in stunning fashion, from the Banijan Soccer League. Previously seen as a lock to host World Cup matches, that relegation threw it all into doubt. Would Bwubanza City's revenues fall enough to prevent them from making the necessary upgrades to host World Cup football? There was, of course, the other city in the region to consider- Dodoma, a city with almost 800,000. Locals joke that while in the rest of Banija, there is dry season and wet season, in Bunyoro, there is wet and wetter season- it has some of the highest rates of rainfall in all of Atlantian Oceania.

But where to put the matches? The existing stadium in the city isn't big enough, with a capacity of 33,000. Then, of course...

Stadium- Albert III Stadium
Image

This was built for World Cup 81 under a different name, and is currently used by Bunyoro RSC. However, after the assassination of the Kabaka's father, Albert III, it was renamed after him. It will debut in this tournament, and, of course, be the future home of Bunyoro Regional Sporting Club. With a stadium capacity of 48,600, and with revolutionary field drainage technology, thoughtful considering the amount of rain that this region gets, this will be some of Banijan engineering technology on full display. Due to the unique structure of the roof, the sound is made to go down onto the ground, and many expect this will be the tournament's loudest venue due to that stadium design.

This southeastern city is being called upon to host matches at AOCAF LXII, and they have graciously jumped at the opportunity. Once again, the RBSA has waived their normal 35,000 seat requirement to ensure that the Bunyoro Region gets to host games. Hoima, Ankole
Now, while Hoima wasn't a shoe-in per say, it was never really going to be left off of the host list, was it? One of five cities in Banija with at least a million people, it had to be chosen. It is not a multicultural city, as is true of most of Banija's inland cities, but it is more diverse than Jinja City. Banija Air is headquartered in this city, as the city's economy relies on commercial airliner manufacturing. The weather in this city is known as some of the best in Banija- almost always temperate, and not much humidity. Of course, there is alittude, as the city is located three quarters of a mile above see level.

Stadium- Mavuto Field
Image

This is a stadium that was built before AOCAF LVIII, and it will be the new home of the Hoima Warriors of the S-FPL going forward. With a combined investment from the Ankole Regional Government, the Hoima Warriors, and the City of Hoima, this is a behemoth of a stadium- seating a stunning 75,000, becoming the largest stadium in the BSL. Built to ensure that Hoima would get AOCAF LVIII games and games in future tournaments, it is home to a burgeoning fanbase of soccer fans. It is named after Gerald Mavuto, the city's first ever mayor.

Busoga Islands National Information

Image

The Islamic Republic of the Busoga Islands are one of the newest states on the Atlantian Oceania map - the country forming as an independent nation shortly after World Cup 80, as a result of what is commonly known internationally as the Banijan-Equestrian War, but within the country as the Busogan war for independence. They are located on the northwestern edge of the Shango-Fogoa Basin. It has a population of about 12 million people.

The islands have been inhabitated for over 400 years, named after their founder, Ayatollah Kizil Busoga. These people have been one that have fiercely and jealously their independence. While, of course, being ruled by Quebec City, and then via Busukuma, for over two entire centuries, they are now looking to come out of the woodworks and stake a name for themselves. Politically, they closely ally with the Equestrian States and other nations within Canterlot's sphere of influence, and thanks to heavy foreign investment they have a rapidly growing economy.

In terms of football, they are six professional clubs on the Islands. They all retained membership within the Banijan pyramid upon independence, and continue to compete domestically within that structure. The national team has never made the knockout stages of the AOCAFs. They suffered a severe disappointment at World Cup 86 Qualifying, finishing in 8th place despite their Pot 3 ranking, and failing to even receive an invitation to the Cup of Harmony.

The sport competes for the status of 'most popular sport on the island', alongside cricket. Rugby Union is known to be the 3rd most popular sport on the island, behind the two prior ones which are considered the most popular. Of course, popularity with the national team rises and falls with the good fortunes of how the national team plays.

Many across the country speak English, and it is a good language to use to get around. This country will host all games for the League A group that the Busoga Islands are in during Phase 2 of the AOCAFs. The other 11 groups, of course, shall have all their games played in Banija.

Lakiska, South Island

Located on the South Coast of the South Island, Lakiska is the long-time Busoga Islander capitol. It has a population of 425,000, making it the second largest city in the country. This city has one of the country's two international airports, the other one being in Dukuma. The city has two venues that will be used to host matches during Phase 2 of the AOCAFs.

Netop Football Squad

Nation Name: Netop
Nation Trigramme: NTP
Record: 10-5-10
Achievements: Quarterfinals-BOF 73
Colors: Blue, Green, and Yellow
Nickname: The Friends (Netop is what colonizers referred to Native Americans as when they were friendly with them)
IC Information about Netop: The Islands of Netop were a colonization expedition by Kohnhead. When they arrived they encountered a peaceful native people and proceeded to wage war on them. Atrocities were committed by the Kohnheadian colonizers but after years of hardships the native people sent the colonizers back to Kohnhead after successfully rebelling. The South Kohnhead situation also forced Kohnhead to abandon it's overseas colony. While the natives won some Kohnheadian colonizers stayed around and introduced their culture to the native people which is why the names, currencies, and language are quite similar. They also introduce the wildly popular sport of football which is played by amateur teams and leagues across Netop.

Last cycle Netop sent its first ever team to the World Cup Qualifiers where they came in 7th of their 10 team group at 17 points after a quarterfinals run in the 73rd Baptism of Fire. Netopian officials claim their COH invitations was lost in transit although many think we just didn't get an invitation and they are just saying that. Netopians were surprised to find out that we could sign up for the AOCAF but because of our geographic location we are technically allowed to sign up so here we go although Netop is pretty isolated they technically are allowed in.

Coaching Staff
Manager: Joey House (57) (M) House is to put it simply a tactical genius. He was the obvious pick to manage the squad as an unanimous selection and the early signs of picking him are extremely positive.

Assistant: Isaac Galindo (74) (M) Galindo was actually a colonist from Kohnhead but was one of the ones who stayed in Netop and was the leading figure in introducing football to the nation. Unfortunately in recent times he has become quite ill which has prevented him from becoming the full time manager. The thought here is he can help House from the background without having to put too much stress on his body.

Assistant: Vicky Hensley (39) (F) Hensley has recently retired from the sport of football. The idea behind her hiring is to give House the old in Galindo and the new in Hensley as she's supposed to bring new and innovative ideas to the team. Hopefully it actually works out as planned.

Starting XI
GK: #-492 Johnny Howells (22) (M) Howells who is from one of the most Southern Islands has the exact opposite personality of someone who you want on the team. He is the guy who blames others, gets into fights with teammates, has a massive ego, isn't as good as he thinks, and never takes any responsibility. He has some talent although not as much as he says and the backup position is not ideal so he's the starter. Howells played amazing at the BOF and has given us renewed confidence in him.

RB: #2.5 Logan Diaz (28) (M) Diaz is an aging back who has dealt with a lot to reach this point. He once had lots of speed but a couple of major injuries have made him very slow on the right side. He is a safe and secure tackler who you know won't over commit but can be beat on just speed.

CB: #007 Heather Burrows (20) (F) Burrows is the future of the defense. At only 20 she is the second youngest starter on the team. Her main problem is a lack of size but she makes up for it with a massive vertical which prevents her from being a liability on corners. She also tends to be a bit aggressive when making a tackle resulting in a decent amount of cards and over committing errors.

(C) CB: #-17.3 Constance Vaughan (37) (F) Vaughan who has already told the press that she will be retiring after the World Cup cycle is over is the captain of the team. At 37 she has loads of experience and Burrows has said Vaughan has been a great mentor for her. Vaughan doesn't have the most speed at this point but she can be that guy at the back. The rock in the back line who will be always be their for the keeper as the last line of defense before Howells.

LB: #123456 Beau Hendricks (26) (M) Hendricks had to undergo a good battle for this starting spot with Ellie Pitt and despite Pitt being the fan favorite and having the better skill set of the two Hendricks has been named the starter. Hendricks will be under a microscope as he will desperately try to keep his spot.

RM: #-973 Tiana Mitchell (27) (F) Mitchell was brought into the starting XI after Wanda McNeil played horribly. Mitchell doesn't have McNeil's speed but she at least is competent enough on the field and she's next to Park and Holder who are both very good so they can pick up her slack.

CM: #1776 Savanna Park (25) (F) Park is the best player on the team and it's not debatable. She stands in the middle of the formation and has brillant skill moves, a deadly and powerful shot, and good enough speed to make runs. With Holder to her left and the speed of McNeil to her right the midfield is by far the strength of the squad.

LM: #1.754 Max Holder (18) (M) Holder is the youngest player on the squad and is already one of the best. His best traits are his set pieces abilities as he takes the free kicks and corners as well as ideal speed, strength, and size. Holder should be the superstar on the team in a few years if he continues to develop.

RW: #2020 Zoe Kinney (22) (F) Kinney is very raw on the wing and it was a bit of a surprise that she is in the starting lineup. She has good power and with the right development could become something special. "She is a long term project though and could be heading to the bench if she doesn't play well early on." That's what I wrote before the BOF, but at the BOF she showed us what she could do scoring the second most on the team.

CF: #10a Teddy Riggs (33) (M) Riggs is aging but will be by far the top scorer on the team. Riggs has that ability to find the back of the net often and his powerful shot and 6' 4" frame make him the best option in almost all situations. Despite being 33, Riggs has indicated he wants to play for at least five more years.

LW: #-10 Lyla Wormald (24) (F) Wormald is the 1B to Riggs' 1A as she will get the most assists and will be the second best scoring option behind Riggs. Wormald is relatively young but she has a tendency to struggle in high pressure situations and is a very streaky player.

Formation: 4-3-3

Roles
Captain: Vaughan
Free Kicks: Holder
Corners: Holder
Penalties: Riggs

Bench
GK: #493 Marcus Nixon (29) (M)
Def: #24.94 Ellie Pitt (25) (F)
Def: #1492 Bertie Gilbert (17) (F)
Def: #1093 Arthur Werth (25) (M)
Mid: #-973 Tiana Mitchell (27) (F)
Mid: #0000 Wanda McNeil (24) (F)
Mid: #2700 Carole Bond (34) (F)
For: #69 Adelle Benton (25) (F)

SAVIGLIANE NATIONAL TEAM ROSTER
AOCAF 62

Savigliane’s international record in this new dimension is off to an incredibly rough start. After a promising group stage campaign at the Baptism of Fire where the Swans conceded just two goals in five matches, Glazgo put four past Savigliane in a disastrous Round of 16 match. A trying World Cup qualification campaign then cost manager Laurent Chambéry his job as Savigliane finished a distant sixth in their group with just twenty points in eighteen matches. And while a draw against Taeshan and a win against Omerica were both encouraging CoH results, Savigliane ultimately found themselves one of the 24 teams eliminated in the group stage.
Specific information about Savigliane's situation can be found in my first WCQ RP or my BoF RP line. Essentially, the nation has been teleported to the NS world from an IRL equivalent and is still working through the fallout of that event.

NICKNAME: The Swans / The Red and Blues
MANAGER: Edward HERNÁNDEZ - 48 (Northwest Kalactin)
ASST. MANAGER: Natalia ROSSI - 43
STYLE MOD: -5
FORMATION: 3-5-2

Captain - Camillo Notari
Vice-Captain - Pietro Giraudo
Penalty Takers (in order of preference) - Francesco Grimaldi, Amara Vatrican, Adrian Toscani, Isabella Coste, Bertrand Marchetti
Free Kick Taker - Adrian Toscani
Corner-Kick Taker - Bertrand Marchetti (L), Adrian Toscani (R)

TACTICS

First choice lineup

Foreign manager Edward Hernandez has completely retooled the lineup to play a much more defensive style. The creative flair of Gabriel Lefebvre and Giovanna Vitale are no longer favored, with the more defensively-solid Augustin Dirac and Fabiano Dutto finding themselves in the starting lineup. Lefebvre, as well as more technically capable players like Michael Durand and Eloisa Fenoglio, have found themselves dropped completely as Hernandez pursues a much more defensive style.

The substitution of Dutto, a fullback by trade, for Vitale, basically a winger, makes the back five a very solid, well-drilled, but somewhat unimaginative one - Giraudo has been instructed to stay back more rather than play a makeshift libero, as he did in past iterations, while the versatile Marchetti has also dropped back more under Hernandez. In the midfield, a disturbing amount of trust has been placed in Augustin Dirac’s spindly arms - the defensive midfielder is hardly the strongest, although his ball-playing skills will help Savigliane on the counterattack.

Toscani and Vatrican will both play box-to-box roles, with Toscani bringing more flair and Vatrican more discipline. Up front, Isabella Coste is a hard-working runner and presser while Grimaldi’s hold-up play make him a natural complement. As a team, Savigliane will be disciplined on defense and favor slow build-up play or long-balls to the two forwards on the attack. It may be a boring style of football, but Hernandez is hoping it’ll prove effective.

Score a Goal - Francesco Grimaldi, Isabella Coste, Adrian Toscani
Score from Distance - Amara Vatrican, Adrian Toscani, Bertrand Marchetti
Assist a Goal - Isabella Coste, Adrian Toscani, Bertrand Marchetti
Score off a Header - Francesco Grimaldi, Thea Squarciafichi, Pietro Giraudo
Win a Free Kick/Penalty - Isabella Coste, Amara Vatrican, Adrian Toscani
Get Sent Off - Marcos Beccaria, Efisio Moreau, Nathaniel Auvergne
Get a Yellow Card - Efisio Moreau, Augustin Dirac, Nathaniel Auvergne
Come Through in the Clutch - Amara Vatrican, Bertrand Marchetti, Francesco Grimaldi

GOALKEEPERS

#01 - Camillo NOTARI (C) - 33 - AC Acqui Bollente
#12 - Charlotte FASANO - 28 - Gallant Cross (BRE)
#23 - Nicolas DuCASSE - 25 - Stade-Ferre Trinité

Notari is a commanding aerial presence, a penalty-kick specialist, and a solid all-around shot-stopper. If he does have a weakness, it’s that he’s a little shaky with distribution, although this has generally been covered by the center-backs’ abilities on the ball. Fasano is a younger, worse version of Notari whose main strength is her agility, while DuCasse is a more modern style of goalkeeper known for his distribution, but with room to improve in the air.

DEFENDERS

#02 - Adélaïde GARCIA - 25 - AS Villeneuve
#03 - Efisio MOREAU - 30 - Veriasod Lakers (TKT)
#05 - Pietro GIRAUDO - 32 - AC Acqui Bolente

#13 - Rémy LeCLERC - 22 - Stade-Ferre Trinité
#16 - Angelique BLANC - 25 - FC Riziéres
#24 - Marco BECCARIA - 31 - Pietrargenta

Giraudo is the real gem in a very skilled trio of defenders. His skill on the ball and ability to make accurate long passes makes him a vital cog in Savigliane’s offense. He’s also a solid defender in his own right - although not particularly athletic, his positioning and tactical acumen are remarkable. Moreau is the brawn to Giraudo’s brain - his aerial presence and strength are both excellent, although he’s more well-rounded than one might expect, and a consummate professional on and off the field. Meanwhile, Garcia is the quickest of the back three - while still occasionally prone to mistakes while on the ball, her athleticism and man-marking capabilities make her a valuable, versatile asset to the national team.

Of the three substitutes, Blanc is the best on the ball, but she’s much more athletic and disciplined than Fenoglio, who she is replacing. Young LeClerc is sharp, athletic, and versatile (serving as both a center-back and right-back for Trinité), but not polished enough with the ball to earn a starting spot yet. Meanwhile, the appropriately-named Beccaria’s hard-nosed, physical style of play has earned a reputation as one of the most hated players in Savigliane outside of his hometown of Pietrargenta. But while he may be polarizing, he’s also earned cult-hero status for his tactical know-how, his strength, and his aerial presence.

MIDFIELDERS

#04 - Bertrand MARCHETTI - 28 - Tikariot City FC (TKT)
#06 - Amara VATRICAN - 29 - AC Acqui Bolente
#19 - Augustin DIRAC - 25 - L’Escarene SC
#10 - Adrian TOSCANI - 23 - Cazadores Cathair (AUD)
#15 - Fabiano DUTTO - 32 - Ysgrann Bay Eagles FC (TKT)

#11 - Giovanna VITALE - 26 - Dynamo Sjoedrhavn (SVJ)
#14 - Leon SOLARI - 24 - Sophie City Royals (SNL)
#17 - Nathaniel AUVERGNE - 22 - Hofvinger (GRF)
#34 - Margherita ROMANO - 26 - Nazionale Acqui Bollente
#80 - Sébastien PETIT - 30 - Villeneuve NSC

Marchetti may not be the flashiest player on the team, but his endurance, pace, and keen sense of positioning make him absolutely essential to Savigliane’s tactical setup. An excellent passer, Marchetti is capable of making key offensive contributions (although he doesn’t push up as zealously as his counterpart, Vitale), but seemingly is always able to get back in time to disrupt counterattacks or fall back on defense. Dutto is an ambidextrous, versatile, fullback with the pace and endurance to deputize on either side. He’s not as incisive an attacking presence as either Vitale or Marchetti, but is solid enough at the position, even if he’s probably best suited to a back four. Vatrican is the more adventurous of the two center-midfielders, with her excellent dribbling enabling her to make driving runs toward the box, and her accurate - if not particularly creative - passing helping the team advance up the pitch. Toscani is a technically gifted young midfielder who, despite not being particularly athletic, has already impressed in his short time at Porto Vecchio, earning himself a transfer to Caza in the process. He’s capable of playing as a center-midfielder, an attacking-midfielder, or, thanks to his surprisingly good crossing ability, on the wing. Dirac is used as more of a holding midfielder for his club, but while his positional awareness and ball-playing skills are excellent for a midfielder of his age, he’s prone to being pushed off the ball and can easily disappear during matches against more physical sides.

Vitale is more explosive than either of the first-choice wingbacks, and her crossing and shooting ability make her more of a direct threat when attacking. A converted winger, she’s not particularly good tracking back, although her athleticism gets her some of the way there. However, with a defensively-minded manager, she's unlikely to get much time as a wing-back unless Savigliane are chasing a goal. Auvergne is a half-Washingtonian young talent whose creativity and physicality make him an incredible prospect despite his lack of speed. The tall, lithe, and technically sound Solari impressed despite San Ludovico’s relegation, earning him a transfer to Esportiva’s Sophie City Royals. Petit is a hard-working box-to-box midfielder on the field, known for his versatility and energy. Off the field, he doesn’t have the best of reputations, which is probably why he didn’t originally make the final cut despite his talent. Finally, Romano was clearly a cut above the rest of SavigLega 2 last season while leading Nazionale to promotion. Despite her fiery personality, she’s nowhere near the attacking presence that Vitale is, instead compensating with endless persistence and defensive ability.

FORWARDS

#07 - Isabella COSTE - 26 - AS Villeneuve
#09 - Francesco GRIMALDI - 33 - Nazionale Acqui Bollente

#18 - Thea SQUARCIAFICHI - 22 -Traktor St. Andrei (SVJ)
#22 - Zoë BARTHELEMY - 25 - Levis Athletic (QUE)

Grimaldi is a strong, physical presence in the box with a propensity for headers. While still athletic enough to get by in this system, he’s definitely lost a step, and he looks for his own shot a little too much. Coste is the opposite - end product and strength are the only things she lacks, while her speed and dribbling ability make her a constant threat to set up her teammates.

Squarciafichi, while still unpolished, is a deadly finisher. Although a solid dribbler, her best runs are off the ball, and her passing is definitely a work in progress. Barthelemy is more of a natural winger, although she’s ambidextrous and versatile enough to play on either wing. Her greatest assets are her energy, pace and dribbling, but she’s a little lacking in end product.

If my opponent RP's first, they have permission to do the following:
Style: 1.75
Formation: 4-4-2
Choose My Goalscorers: Y
Godmod Goalscoring Events: Y (stuff like deciding who scores a PK, who passes to whom and how the goal's scored is cool. Weird shit is not.)
Injure Players: N
Godmod Injury Events: N
Red Card Players: Y (no more than one more than you do for your own team)
Yellow Card Players: Y (same rule as red cards)
Godmod Other Events: N
=================================

Manager: Nicola Mentes
Mentes previously served as the manager of thw Megistos Under 18 national team and led that unit to the semifinals. He looks to bring increased defensive energy and speed and has already made his mark on the Stars.
Assistant Manager: Nathan Hanifer
The former manager of Sarzonia's Under 21 national team, Hanifer was the other finalist for the Stars managerial role. He assumes the assistancy at the request of Mentes.

HOME GROUND: Dave Wilson Stadium, Woodstock (105,690 capacity, natural grass field); alternate home ground i Joe Gibbs Stadium in Woodstock (75,900 capacity)

Roster (Starters in bold)

GOALKEEPERS
1 Carlton Sandt, 21, 6-foot-3, 215 pounds (Lakiska SC, Banijan Soccer League)
Sandt is the younger brother of legendary Stars goalkeeper Horace Sandt. He won the starting job for the Wanderers as a true freshman and led a previously downtrodden side to the national semifinals. He has catlike reflexes and is quick off his line. Can get too aggressive.
30 Paolo Gomes, 27, 5-foot-9, 165 pounds (Portland Timbers)
Gomes recently migrated to Sarzonia and earned a spot on the Stars national team with his quickness in the box. Plays a lot on instinct.

DEFENDERS
4 Charlie King, 26, 5-foot-11, 155 pounds (Saugerties Snakes)
King plays as a defensive-oriented fullback, often marking the opposing team's top striker. He relies more on positioning and reading his opponent's tendencies and body language to figure out where to run than on speed. He's not exactly a burner.
5 Tommy Benignati, 29, 6-foot-2, 200 pounds (Wilmington FC)
The older brother of Marco Beningnati, Tommy plays a much more rugged style than Marco does. Can play sweeper in a three-back lineup.
7 Matt Taylor, 24, 6-feet, 185 pounds (Burlington Browns)
Taylor's speed lends itself to being a fullback, but he plays halfback for the Browns. He has a tendency to struggle with more physical forwards and offensive midfielders.
6 John Taylor 20, 5-foot-10, 175 pounds, Portsmouth University
The younger twin brother of Under 21 national team player Carlette Taylor, John plays a similar style to his sister's, although with much more speed.
18 Ben Russell, 30, 6-foot-1, 190 pounds, Rochester Renegades
In his first season as team captain of the Renegades, he led the team to a Sarzonian Football Confederation championship, resulting in the team's promotion to the Cyanea League. If he's on the pitch in the event Howard gets subbed for, he will don the captain's armband. He is a reserve halfback for the Stars.
22 Carmela Bowen, 28, 5-foot-8, 145 pounds, Woodstock Justice
Brown plays fullback for the Justice, a Sarzonian women's football team, and typically marks whomever the playmaking midfielder is. Her stamina earned her a spot on the national team.
44 Pat Meyers, 21, 5-foot-8, 152 pounds, unaffiliated
Meyers won a lawsuit against the Portland Timbers third division affiliate when the team dismissed them after successfully proving the club released them due to their gender non-conforming status

MIDFIELDERS
8 Ernie Mabree, 26, 5-foot-10, 175 pounds (FC Corcorran)
Mabree has one of the better left-booted shots in the Sarzonian league structure and is one of the fastest players in Sarzonia. He'll play an important role in Sarzonia's offence.
10 Brady Reynolds, 28, 6-foot-2, 185 pounds (Portland Timbers
Donning the 10 shirt for the Stars, Reynolds can be very creative with the ball and will often take corner kicks and free kicks. Predominantly a right-booted player, but he's worked a lot during the offseason on improving with his left boot.
20 Clayton Wilson, 21, 5-foot-10, 170 pounds, (Woodstock Wild) Captain
A grandson of legendary Stars forward Brian Wilson and great-grandson of coach Dave Wilson, Clayton is not just a fourth generation star among the Stars, he served as the playmaker for the Under 21 Stars and is a sterling wing player on the Wild.
18 Carlos dos Santos, 25, 5-foot-11, 175 pounds (Woodstock Wild)
A right wing player, he will sometimes be called upon to take free kicks if Reynolds is unable to for some reason.
16 Trisha Collins, 32, 5-foot-6, 125 pounds (Portland Thorns)
Collins will assume the same role with the national team that she does for the Thorns in Sarzonia's women's football league as a defensive midfielder and general pest.
28 Travis D'Agostino, 30, 6-foot-2, 200 pounds, (Wilmington FC)
D'Agostino will provide depth for the defensive midfield for the Stars. He starts for Wilmington in that role.
30 Erik Swann, 24, 5-foot-11, 175 pounds (Portland Timbers)
Swann's strength is being a late-match offensive substitute who can score in a pinch.

FORWARDS
11 Cayden Aguirre, 32, 5-foot-10, 170 pounds (Nicksia Knights)
Aguirre is the creative forward on the squad with an ability to pinch hit as a playmaking midfielder in late-match situations in the event of defensive-minded substitutions.
21 Jake Campos, 21, 6-foot-3, 210 pounds, (Portland Timbers)
Campos is a straight up target player in the front line. His leaping ability makes him a prime candidate for headers in the box off corner kicks and indirect free kicks. He played on the Junior Stars team that competed in the most recent AOCAF.
17 Mek'hi West, 33, 6-foot-3, 215 pounds (Woodstock Wild)
West is similar in style to Campos, but with West 18 months removed from a torn ACL, he's still working toward being match fit for a full 90 minutes. He can give a good 45-50 minutes at a time before he has to be substituted for when he's a starter.
19 Holly Cambrio, 26, 5-foot-7, 145 pounds (Woodstock Justice)
Cambrio adds flair and ball movement skill and the ability to serve as a sparkplug off the bench, but would be a starter for a women's national team if that competition got resurrected.

Where you will play
Image
Gold Coast international football stadium is a very nice stadium it holds up to 104,000 people and is the largest stadium in northwest Kalactin. Many people are surprised that the stadium has a retractable roof even though it is very hot in northwest Kalactin in fact the reason why the roof is there is because of the heat! One time it was 114 degrees Farinheight in Gold Coast so they put the roof up. Another thing to look for at the stadium is the before game tailgating there are many food trucks that stop by there and take advantage of the huge crowds. Lastly, be sure to visit the Northwest Kalactin soccer hall of fame that has many interesting artifacts jerseys and other stuff from Kalactanian football

History of The Team
The Kalactanian National Team has been around since the 79th version of the World Cup. The team started out from quiet beginnings finishing in the quarter finals in the 66th Baptism Of Fire against Filindostan. The 80th World Cup Team was highlighted by Jared Sednah and Wendell Jakerein, who ended up making the team of the qualifiers. Sednah was the top player on the team for the Next 2 cycled as he paired up with Luke Dillan to bring the team close to qualifying. Despite the valiant efforts by Dillan and Sednah the team couldn’t end up qualifying in the 82nd and 81st cups. The FA decided not to enter the team in for the 83rd qualifiers due to corruption in the association. The team was quickly eliminated in the 84th qualifiers. The current team is highlighted by younger players that hope to bring the team to the World Cup the the following years. In the 85th World Cup campaign the team put up one of their best qualifying performances. However, near the end of qualifying the team was shaken by the surprise retirement of the star goalkeeper Wendell Jakerein.

Starters

Strikers:
Strikers : Keith Torres, Image Nyashawill, Age: 29
A player that has came off of the bench in multiple recent world cups, Keith Torres is a very reliable substitute, although it will be interesting to see how he does when starting the game on the field. Recently transferring to Ko-oren to play there, Torres is a player that has been with 7 different clubs in his career. Torres is a very strong and fast player, although many think that he lacks the skill needed to become a great striker.

Jimmy McCarthy Image Tor, Age: 28
Jimmy McCarthy was the future of Kalactanian football the second he stepped onto the Project Olimpo campus. He is a natural leader that can lift the spirits of any of his teammates and he brings great talent to the team. He is a bit weak however he makes up for it with his ability to make a move on anyone. Last cycle he was by far the best player on the team, going out and showing his goalscoring ability, and is able to work some magic out there.

Will Sanders Image Murwelldobah FC, Age: 32
Will Sanders is a player that has historically played midfield however he made the switch to midfielder a few years ago. One of the best players on the team he is always focused on making his teammates better through passing. He is a very creative player that likes to express his creativity on the pitch. He was responsible for assists on many of the goal.

Thomas Butler Image AC Itotz Zubia, Age: 19
The future of Kalactanian soccer, is now playing in Audioslavia, and is now with the national team for his first cycle on. He is a magic man by the net, and always seems to come out with the ball in 1-1 battles. He is one of the strongest, and fastest players to ever play for the nation, he will become a great duo with players like Jimmy McCarthey in the next few years, and you can look for him to score many goals. He wants this cycle to be his breakout cycle, and he wants to start it out wi a good AOCAF

Substitutes: Cody Dixon, Image Cirelbourne United, Age: 30
Joe Russell, Image Ballina FC, Age: 31

Midfielders:
Steve Gilbert Image Toureres, Age: 33
Gilbert is a player in the middle of his prime. After showing how he could turn the War Eagles from a second tier team to a team earning UICA qualification the NT picked him up. He is a very athletically talented player that can outrun almost anyone on the pitch. He does lack some skills on the first touch but his athleticism helps him excel on the field.

Frank Owens Image Coffs Harbour FC, Age: 35
Owens has been a mainstay if the starting lineup of the NT since the 80th World Cup. He may be entering his last World Cup as he is very prone to injury’s. He plays a very aggressive game and has a fiery temper, things that can get him in trouble on the field. Owens is currently the team record holder for the most Cautions in one tournament, with 7.

Lamar Hall Image Bul Khungur Miners, Age: 22
Lamar is on his very first cycle on the National Team, and he is a started already. He had a breakout season and helped the Ballina Red Devils earn theirselves a spot in IFCF play this season. He is the younger brother of established defender Matt Hall, and wants to become a reliable starter on the national team in the coming years. Look for him to pass a lot, he spends very little time with the ball once he gets possession. Now in the Tikariot Premier League, he looks to become one of the best team players on the team.

Substitutes: Daniel Guidry Image Kempsey United, Age: 32
Lamar Snyder Image Ballina Red Devils, Age: 27

Backs:
Matt Hall Image Fryi Frêndê, Age: 27
Matt Hall is another player in his prime that has been around on the team during recent cycles. He recently started playing in the Farfadillian leagues where he continues to develop as a player. Hall is one of the strongest players on the team athletically being one of the fastest on the team.

Joseph Anderson Image FC Harbour City, Age: 31
A newer player just recently called up to the National Team, Anderson has exceeded expectations for the team. He recently just entered his prime and he improves very quickly. He does tack up a large number of injuries though, which is concerning for his future on the team. Anderson is a great on-ball defender and can play physically if needed.

Larry Martinez Image AC Itotz Zubia, Age: 28
Martinez is a new defender to the National squad. He played his only appearance before this when he came in as a sub in a Wonder Cup game against Delaclava. He also is a teammate of young striker Thomas Butler, so look for those 2 to have some good chemistry on the field. Just like his preceding teammate at the position, Jake Dakota, he is a reliable defender that has good ball control.

Substitutes:
George Taylor Image Bavingtor City, Age: 27
Brian Wood Image Razalfu Rhinos, Age: 24

Goalkeeper:
Mark Romero Image CF Bondstad, Age: 27
After taking over from the legend Wendell Jakerein, Romero started the final games of the World Cup 85 qualification. Romero is a very young keeper that can look to become a successful player on the Kalactanian National team. Unlike his preceder, Romero is a player that has very good athleticism. What he lacks though, is the tactical smarts that Jakerein possessed.

Substitutes: Lawrence Henderson Image Toureres, Age: 21

Another Introduction
Twicetagria, formerly known as Strayquestria and the Wolflands, is a country located in the western side(unofficial) of Atlantian Oceania. A humble population of about 23 million humans, sentient ponies, deities(mostly ancient Greek), werewolves, and vampires, Twicetagria is racially diverse. The de facto national languages include English, Twicetagrian Russian, ancient Greek and Latin, but there are 45 more known languages in Twicetagria.
Most of the Twicetagrian population lives in the huge, bustling metropolitan areas splattered throughout Twicetagria: Twice Square --the capital--, Alphaxrie(predominantly domesticated werewolves), Legothria and Sranchies(deities and demigods make up a large part of the demographics) and Velikiygrad, which translates to 'great city' in Twicetagrian English.
The monarchs of Twicetagria are the highly-revered High Queen Rarity V2. Tourists and foreigners are to abide by the rules set to respect any ruling power. The deities are mostly Roman or Greek gods who occasionally come and visit Twicetagria, due to ancient Greece and Rome having ties with us. There are also vampires who live in the Feruscian Highlands. They are a friendly and hospitable bunch, and their accommodation is usually 5-star. They speak English normally, but speak Romanian sometimes.

The Twicetagrian Football Team officially represents Twicetagria in men's international football since their maiden match in 202 P.Y. Their maiden international tournament competition, the AOCAF 60, was left unsuccessful. A disappointing BoF 72 finished off with a surprisingly successful WCQ85 and CoH, going to finish 4th in the former's group stage, and the Round of 32 in the latter. After that came a disappointing 2nd cycle, failing to impress in AOCAF 61 and WCQ86, while crashing out at the group stages of CoH 78. Most of Twicetagria's home matches are played at the Stray Kids Colosseum in Twice Square.

The Tactics Box
to be used to decide goalscorers
The Hitback Tiki-taka
This tactic is used when our defenders have won the ball from an (counter)attack, corner or goal. The attacking midfielders will be located just past the half-line, towards our goal. The defender who won the ball will then pass to the closest midfielder, usually the CM or CDM. He/she will then pass the ball to the striker or the attacking midfielders. They will then rush through to the goal. Passing the ball amongst each other, when they get the chance, they will strike.
- works when the back line is high up the pitch, or the opposing defense is caught slacking

The Pressuremaker
This tactic is used when the ball is intercepted or won in the middle third. The players will tire out the defense with quick play or passing. When the defense doesn't suspect anything, the ball will be passed to the wingers, who make a run along the flanks into the goal. The ball will be crossed into the box, where the other striker or attacking midfielder/winger will convert it into a shot.
- works late game when the back line is worn out

We don't particularly have tactics for balls won in the final third, or free kicks and corners. feel free to do your own thing.
These tactics don't have to be used by you if you don't want to. However, it is asked that you would, because it would make our play more realistic.

National Football Team of Tioguldós "The Red Army"

After Tioguldós finished 4th in their group for the World Cup Qualifiers, coach Gupder Mebal proposed a significant change in the tactical approach of the team that he presented in the Cup of Harmony. Instead of maintaining the reactive and forceful style in the counterattack, based on technical prowess and raw creativity, this squad is much more structured, aggressive, and proactive.

In the qualifiers, the Red Army aspired to finish beyond the middle of the table. Now the team has high expectations and is considering a far-reaching fight for the title. There are great competitors present, so it will not be an easy task. However, taking into account the good performances shown in the last 18 games, Tioguldós is hopeful.

The renewal of the squad has not only brought new faces to the Red Army, some in high demand, such as the cases of Lorokelo, Poir, and Fasora; It has also left out relevant figures such as Oches, Albofokh, and Omnofo. Decisions harshly criticized by 'The Vanguard,' the fans of the Red Army.

Politics

Tioguldós is a recently created socialist republic just ten years old. Its origin dates back to an armed uprising in which is now the national capital, Nor fam Bmodo, in which the workers overthrew the false democracy imposed on the Republic of Orkasduso. Orkasduso was a developing nation, rich in natural resources, but with minimal income, since almost all control over them was exercised by foreign companies. Insufficient industrialization added to capital flight impeded the growth of the productive force and progressively displaced the national bourgeoisie. Centuries ago, it had been a colony of a great empire, which brutally murdered the natives and replaced the original population. Although they formally managed to become independent, the people of Orkasduso never achieved sovereignty over their lands or their work. Millions lived in deplorable conditions for years, and those who lived well were vulnerable. The advent of the armed revolt led to the beginning of a revolutionary movement, which acted in three separate regions and gained control over most of the territory. Today these three regions correspond to Caraludme, Bonbokh u Piche, and Tioguldós. Between the three, they make up the Union of Patagonian People's Republics. The UPPR rules over the three nations, but they have a very high level of autonomy.

The Tiog State has proposed profound economic changes with the intention of achieving an industrial development that can sustain the advance to the final phase of socialism. In the words of President Lamuso Tuerfose, "you cannot build socialism if there is poverty in the country. It is necessary to develop the productive forces to provide each citizen with everything she needs."

At present, an armed uprising has started south of the territory controlled by the Republic of Orkasduso. The people have taken up arms, vindicating themselves as Tiogs and opposing the capitalist regime. Tioguldós is expected to send troops from the People's Liberation Army to the north of the country to pressure the Orkasdusian Armed Forces to hold a position in Giasekh Ourakh. The armed conflict could severely undermine the normal functioning of football in Tioguldós. However, leaders of the Communist Party of Tioguldós have expressed their reassurance that Orkasduso will not be able to enter the territory without immediately collapsing before the revolutionary troops. Some players, such as the international Tilde Lomifal, have joined the PLAT Militia to travel to the Borosó Corridor to intercept the Orkasduso supply shipment.

Culture

Due to the immigration that has occurred during the last centuries, Tioguldós is a multiethnic nation in which people of varied descent coexist. For the most part, their descendants are native or from the empire that colonized the lands centuries ago and its surroundings. The territory has been subject to sharp demographic fluctuations since the beginning of the revolution. Many opponents of the Workers' State fled the country, while hundreds of thousands came from abroad seeking a better future.

The official language is Tiog, a language spoken by very few people outside the UPPR. Other native and foreign languages are spoken by small minority communities.

The vast majority of the population is atheist, followed by Christians, various native religions, and finally, a very small fraction follow some other religion. While there is freedom of belief, any religious establishment must be completely autonomous, detached from international organizations, must certify that it does not charge its members more than the value of the rent and minimum wage for their clergy, and must guarantee that it does not negatively affect the health or well-being of its members.

The people of Tioguldós are usually friendly, trustworthy, and supportive. On the whole, Tiogs are direct and blunt. They are warm people who often communicate in close contact with one another. It is not uncommon to have little physical distance between speakers. Tiog people have BIG personalities. They are generous and friendly and will take you into their bosom and talk with you until you can talk no more. And then they will talk some more. They have all the time in the world to converse and have an opinion on everything. Even the quiet gentle ones will talk when they can get a word in above their more gregarious friends. Some are loud and dominant, waving their arms in their excitement, even if it is a conversation about the more mundane things in life. Others sit very quietly, yet still, command attention. Notably, the quietest of the Tiogs can be the most passionate and outgoing when going to see the Red Army. They can be analytical and calculating, and at the same time energetic. Of course, there are exceptions. There is no simple Tiog archetype.

Fans of the Red Army are recognized for their effervescence. They encourage the team regardless of the result, chanting and jumping tirelessly during the ninety minutes. The roar of the goal cry erupts in a wave of raised hands and red flags. A crowd reflects its people. For a team from quieter nations where the background is more peaceful, facing a crowd packed with Tiogs at Ísupe Stadium can be a unique experience. The happy atmosphere of the match meets the unbridled passion for the Red Army. While violence has largely been eradicated from Tioguldós stadiums, it is not impossible for it to happen. Still, Tiog attendance is much higher in Tioguldós, where security forces effectively prevent exceptional situations.

GK - Arsós Boal: A consistent goalkeeper. He kept his goal safe throughout the Muko Tiog season despite Faberdakh Tisús' defensive deficiencies. Tall and with good coverage, he is especially good at cross balls to the far post, yet he does not perform very well on penalties. He usually advances with the ball at his feet, organizing the team towards the middle of the field. He is a person of great composure, who does not lose concentration in moments of tension.

LB - Kildoge Fenuskal: Fenuskal is a fullback, although he seems not to know it. In the field, he is one more striker. It is common to see him offering for a pass between the opposing defensive lines. He has a great capacity for long passes and is the fastest player on the team. In terms of personality, his incisive and ambitious character perfectly describes why he is the captain of Draspa Moipas. As they say in Tioguldós, Draspa Moipas plays with 11 forwards.

RB - Norue Gomóspar: Across the field, Norue Gomospar is an apprentice from Fenuskal. Although much more cautious and well balanced, Gomospar looms as one more option in attack on the right wing. He is a much less remarkable player, but perhaps one of the most complete in his position. He has a natural penchant for teamwork and is usually the first to come over to congratulate his opponent after the match.

CB - Miluose Oches: Miluose Oches stands out for his physical fitness. Despite his stature, he can reach a great speed. This makes him a headache for opposing forwards who must fight the ball with him. Off the field, he is friendly and cheerful, but when he dons the Red Army jersey he unleashes all his bravery. It is common to see him arguing with the referee and even sometimes with the fans of the opposing team.

CB - Nukam Poir: Poir is a creative player, who despite playing as a center-back likes to take the ball and start the plays himself. He runs with his head up, looking for passes and keeping the ball. In the WCQ, Fenuskal used to be the one who broke position in attack to go from 4-3-3 to 3-4-3. Now, this role is sometimes taken over by Poir, leaving Fenuskal to cover the backline.

DM - Losduse Albofokh: He is a player completely dedicated to keeping his team in control of the midfield. Standing from the center circle, he functions as the axis of play in the comings and goings of the team. He rarely gets too close to the box, taking care to cover gaps and keep the ball moving instead. When the Red Army defends, Albofokh can be reckless. Opponent midfielders will not want to run past him with the ball, as their knees could be at risk. Cocky, even a bit smug, facing him can leave you feeling bitter.

CM - Lumugue 'Nese' Niforro: 'Nese' means 'Monkey'. As his nickname suggests, Nese Niforro is a really charismatic player. Always cheerful and jocund. When he carries the ball, he is able to surprise with an amazing dribble or an unexpected pass. When his teammates have it, the captain orders the team. If the other team has it... Let's just say they have to be careful if Niforro is around. If he's in range, he won't hesitate to tackle. Together with Losduse Albofokh, they make up a pair of midfielders to fear. Not only because of their defensive toughness but also because of their playmaking skills.

OM - Óstam Perda Raom: If we talk about a classic 'No 10', Perda Raom is the first name mentioned in Tioguldós. Supported by the constant marking of his team, Perda Raom does not run all over the field. Instead, he positions himself well and controls the ball outstandingly. 'The best defense is to have the ball', he says, confident. He handles the ball with such quality that it seems to move in slow motion, yet he is completely unpredictable. He is possibly the most thoughtful and intelligent player in the country. He's also a very good free-kick shooter.

LF - Omgarde Besel: Besel is a sober and structured player. He does not usually leave his position; he always comes down to defend with the team; and never ignores the coach. He is a clear example of the idiosyncrasy of his formative team, Pmig Enako. Although the team loses some of its explosiveness in attack with the absence of a more aggressive forward, this offensive layout is much more disciplined, and the coach hopes that this will give the Red Army greater effectiveness in the development of the plays.

RF - Telá Potos: Potos is a whole-hearted, tenacious, and passionate player. He's very complete in attack and is exceptional at supporting his team's striker with assists or opening spaces inside the box. He connects very well with Oroso and Besel, and together they are capable of destroying rival defenses.

CF - Ugós Oroso: Oroso is without a doubt the best player in the Red Army. He is very complete as a striker. He's good on the ball, he shoots with precision, he heads excellently, and when his teammates control the ball he can confuse defenders and generate plays without even touching it. Oroso performs fantastically as a False 9, but can easily act as a striker if necessary. He is laid back and has a very special affection for fans. Every goal he scores is a goal for them.

Tactics

Formation: 4-3-3
Style Mod: +3

Once again, after the last Cup of Harmony, Gúpder Mebal chose to rely on a more structured playstyle to develop a more precise and effective strategy on the attack. The Red Army will repeat the 4-3-3 with an offensive midfielder and false 9, switching between 4-3-3 and 3-4-3 or between 4-3-3 and 4-2-2-3 depending on the matchup. The objective of this tactic is to hold the ball more consistently, controlling the match and dominating the opponent.

The style of play bases on playing horizontally, making passes from the defense, and progressively advancing towards the opposite box. The ball is rarely passed high, prioritizing short passes and opening spaces. Once the ball passes the halfway line, either Fenuskal or Poir step forward and support the team, reacting as screening midfielders if the team loses the ball and resuming their position if possible. Once the ball circulates to the doors of the opposing box, the false 9 maintains its rear position close to the center circle, attracting the center-backs and attacking in conjunction with the offensive midfielder and the wide forwards. The latter make diagonal runs into the box, seeking to appear behind the backs of the center-backs when they lower their guard.

It is a very engaging style of play that requires intense training and great cohesion within the squad. Gúpder Mebal is acknowledged as a great coach for his exceptional ability to encourage players to work as a team and achieve their full potential.

Formation 5-3-2 (and tactical notes)
Standard/defensive formation
Attacking formation

Goalkeepers
1. GK Larut Theshendan (31) - Maethoru SC
12. GK Barre Goossen (27) - Schemerdrecht SVV
23. GK Gudo Neihof (25) - Straudum VV
24. GK Rilbiposun Guldherindhen (21) - Huthwich & Iduloren FC

A three-man core of goalkeepers has quietly formed. Theshendan has been on the team the longest, has started the most games, but missed a chunk around World Cup 84 and 85 due to poor performance. His Maethoru SC has since found the way up, courtesy of a much higher save percentage of Theshendan - and so he's back as a starter. Neihof is impossible to pass up on given his status at Straudum VV combined with his young age, as he should be the long term option. Goossen is on the team more often than not on the back of a few good years with Schemerdrecht SVV. Guldherindhen was selected as an intern, basically.

Defenders
2. LF Emmé Escoffier (30) - North Spire HC, CRY
13. LF Vidar Langberg (27) - Tanques AOE
25. LF Aesimila Aelisire (26) - Straudum VV
3. LB Tij Breukelaar (22) - Devlet-Bira Fabrika Takimi, TMR
14. LB Atole Kaplan (18) - AC Izotz Zubia, AUD
4. CB Ethan Benjamin (27) - Mallox, COS
15. CB Gjöl Noordburg (24) - Bruncester United AFC
26. CB Minne van Schelven (25) - 1830 Cathair, AUD
5. RB Hikomoto Mizuno (24) - Katashi-Kanatsu
16. RB Phineas Betteridge (21) - Kawarthas District, KSK
6. RF Ézo Gicquel (24) - Bruncester United AFC
17. RF Edialor Aiamara (22) - Laketown Rangers, TAE
27. RF Nwdawd yTismewch (20) - Katashi-Kanatsu

Stacked as always, the Ko-orenite defence never fails to impress. Just look at the names that weren't even selected: Shamrock Cathair's Ffibwd yTewgneoll (at 20 years old, an unproven commodity without NT experience), several big names in the Darmeni league (Hovestad, ), several names in Pasarga and Banija (Parrott, Aandal, Munarring, Grootenhuis), let alone eternal captaincy candidate Dennis Lampshire. There's also recent mover to Tikariot, Arceneaux, Devillers of the Eterna Stars in Valladares, Avenida Leal's Suzukaze, and perhaps most notably the duo that held the left wing back spot until thus far: Hergulauthen and Hellegeland.

Let's look at the players that did make it. Escoffier is a relative late bloomer, with Aelisire as a backup (who is a very proven player, with Straudum VV, Ko-oren's best defensive club). Breukelaar has finally been elevated to starter from long-time substitute. Kaplan is an exciting talent making the move to Izotz Zubia - surely the selectors have chosen talent over big clubs..? Benjamin is back from a long absence as centreback, with Noordburg finally finding his form with Bruncester United AFC as that club is finally finding its groove again - not finishing top 3 for a change, but 4th place and in an IFCF spot. Van Schelven didn't impress in some intramural friendlies and was relegated to the bench for the time being, nurturing several latent injuries from his 1830 Cathair time. Mizuno wanted to make a move away from Katashi-Kanatsu but didn't, but still counts as a fantastic starter, and at rightback we have Gicquel ahead of Aiamara. yTismewch is a surprise, especially given everyone who could've been at that spot.

Midfielders
19. DM Andy Wickham (20) - Londinium County FC, NOV
28. DM Motonobu Watanuki (22) - Mazinaw Vanorian, KSK
29. DM Tolajilo Ebina (21) - Brighthaven Town
8. LM Saushilu Janoreirinthen (27) - Maethoru SC
30. LM Axel Fiallo (18) - Ulsa Rovers, EUR
18. CM Geomraff yCinrhadd (19) - Inkopolis FC, SQR
31. CM Kherles Ensaunden (26) - Maethoru SC
7. RM Harold Batchelor (25) - Blacklake Blues, TAE
32. RM Anselmo Viera (23) - Miradela GD
10. AM Maximilien Longchambon (26) - Revolutionaries, EUR
20. AM Cy de Villepin (34) - Treftadaeth Alliance, COS

As stacked as the defence is, the midfield has some personnel problems. The traditional DM-CM-AM configuration doesn't seem to work with no clear defensive midfielder, giving Juliasterinthen the idea to work with a LM-AM-RM system, also aiding the effort to involve the defence more in possession. The LM and RM are expected to work as a double pivot, which Janoreirinthen has done for the national team a lot anyway. Reizo Yokota's absence will hurt, and hopefully the defensive structure of this unit won't suffer too much. A lot of players have been selected 'out of position', such as Watanuki and Ebina, who are traditionally much further up the field. Ensaunden operates as an attacking midfielder at Maethoru SC, but was moved back because there's no way he could outperform Longchambon and De Villepin on that position anyways.
This line is a bit of a mess. Some decent club teams there, though.

Attackers
9. SS Mata Vaugrenard (27) - Maethoru SC
21. SS Kijoshi Vashila (20) - Brighthaven Town
34. SS Lew Turner (26) - Cirelbourne United
11. RS Aenemere Erisia (25) - Aminey CS
22. LS Dennis Moore (21) - Maynard AFC
33. ST Kenji Miyahara (27) - Tanques AOE
35. ST Ruben de Meester (35) - Capital FC, XAN

And if you thought the midfield was bad, well, hold on. Vaugrenard is on form as always, and is the 'set-up' man alongside whoever plays as attacking midfielder. Beyond that, Erisia is a good enough striker, used to playing in a dual-striker setting, therefore fitting best next to Moore. Vaugrenard, however, deals best with a true finisher up front (Miyahara or De Meester). Basically, all ingredients for a very bad cycle - or for a relatively unknown player to stand up.

Starting lineup usually consists of numbers 1-11, except in attack.
Selection usually consists of number 1-23, except in attack.

Penalties: Longchambon, Vaugrenard
Free kicks: Longchambon, Batchelor
Corner kicks: Batchelor, Janoreirinthen

Most likely to get booked: Escoffier, Benjamin, De Villepin (if he plays)
Most likely to draw fouls: Longchambon, Vaugrenard, Mizuno

Feel free to ignore those suggestions

What
Vroom! The Autonomous Vessel Nation is in your port! As everyone knew from before birth, the Autonomous Vessel Nation is a sovereign state in operation on a state of the art watercraft and contains everything you’d want in a cruise ship or an ocean liner. It is currently floating in Atlantan Oceania, and you definitely noticed it. Ask your friends, they know it is over 10,000 sunlights old. The age is more than 714.2857142857 fortnights. In addition of the ship’s vacation potential, Aus-Ves-Nat contains all aspects of land living. There is education, healthcare, commerce, and even an active military! The ten teams in the AVNFL were sourced from around the Autonomous Vessel Nation's workers and peoples who are very much human.

Over the years, the Aut-Ves-Nat has touched many lives in a positive way. All this is due in part to the Grand Captains. Currently Grand Captain Juaninto James Marcozy (or *J.J.M.*) is the Grand Captain. His wise decision to bring the Aut-Ves-Nat into football has been great for the nation’s people. All of the residents help perpetuate the vessel nation, free from the shackles of land based empires. Many citizens of the Aut-Ves-Nat are all members of it’s command chain as Officers of the Armed Forces. Other citizens and residents still assist the nation, and almost all enter compulsory public or military service. Reports suggest that the Autonomus Vessel Nation and it’s independent peoples are among the happiest, hardest working, and most politically relaxed people across any world.
Where

Where is the Aut-Ves-Nat? Ask your local navy, they’ve had to scoot the boat out of your water more than once we’re sure. You don’t recognize it? Well that’s silly. We’ve been to the Bay of Beef, the White Sea, and even just south of Vdara. You don’t remember some of those? Well, in the words of former Aut-Ves-Nat Gradn Captain Niko “Ranger” Nikoburg, “you need to get learninged.” Of course, perhaps you only witnessed the Aut-Ves-Nat as it was in other parts of the world, mainly the superior regions of Rushmore and perhaps Esportiva on opposite day. No matter what, always remember that the Aut-Ves-Nat was here, or there, and everywhere.

Nicola Mentes scarcely waited for his first training camp as Sarzonia national team manager to conclude before he made his mark immediately felt on the team.

The goalkeeper position, one that Carlton Sandt had been entrenched in as the starter under the Kevins, retired national team manager Kevin Connelly and assistant manager Kevin Wilson, now suddenly belonged to Paolo Gomes. Sandt was now charged with losing weight to get back some of the mobility Mentes wanted in his goalkeepers.

"It's a great opportunity," Gomes said through a translator. "I look forward to earning Mentes's trust." For his part, Sandt publicly supported his former backup, saying Gomes worked hard and he would push him in training.

Privately, Sandt seethed about losing his starting job, and former defender and team captain Russ Howard was the anonymous source for the report. Mentes decided that he wanted the Stars defence to become more mobile and get younger, and he brought in Under 21 national team defender John Taylor to take his place in the starting 11.

Mentes didn't say so publicly, but he acknowledged in private that he felt Howard's actions were insubordination, and it gave him the excuse he needed to cut Howard from the team. Former reserve defender George Morrison was also removed from the team for Mentes to implement his preferred faster pace of play.

The moves sent shockwaves through Sarzonian camp, but the team's midfielders and attack remained unchanged from the units Connelly relied upon. Mentes said he was especially impressed with midfielders Brady Reynolds and Clayton Wilson, who seemed to relish the more attack-minded offensive system favoured by Mentes.

The forward tandem of Cayden Aguirre and Jake Campos also remained unchanged for Mentes, as he said they were particularly adept in training and picked up the offensive tactics quickly. Mentes named former Junior Stars manager Nathan Hanifer as his assistant, since Hanifer had similar ideas to Mentes's.

"I felt that Hanifer was going to help me get acclimated and help me implement the new, more modern brand of football we want to start playing here." For his part, Hanifer said after taking some time to lick his figurative wounds from being passed up for the top job that he was eager for the opportunity.

"Nicola made it clear that he wanted me for the job," Hanifer said. "He also said it could be a stepping stone to a senior national teams managerial role, whether here or elsewhere."

The Stars approach this two-stage qualifying campaign hoping to make a statement that can carry over to World Cup 87, but AOCAF LXII would be an important barometre of what the team must do to challenge for a World Cup title.

"This will be a test," Wilson, the team captain said. "These matches will be important to us."

Dogsmouth is a curious backwater in the GSW. A land that knows only overcast and rain, towns sparsely spread among the vast marshflats and forested swamps, and populated by the sort of people that are happy to call it home. The Dogi (pronounced similar to the Venetian title--or, yes, the meme) are easily spotted by their long, rough hair, toothy grins, and wild eyes.

Manager - Meredyth Shepherd - The most decorated Dogi manager of recent memory while leading Oakport. Known to be a taskmaster.
Style: 4-5-1, -3
Home Grounds: Caldwell Field, Barkham (15 000). An simple pitch with inadvisably wooden grandstands that require pretty rigorous upkeep to keep from molding over in the constant rain. They're pretty good at keeping up with it.

Starters

ASSISTANT MANAGER
Image Tim Landers, 58 Debut Cycle: AOCAF 61
Formerly of Steckholl United, Landers is no stranger to taking a squad that is on a rebound. He'll have to be more of a vocal part of the squad, but is suited for the task. The Assistant Manager position for the Chromatik squad will always be one that deals with the players more on a personal level; he'll be okay with the job.

TEAM PHYSICIAN
Image Zoe "Z" Benne, 37 Debut Cycle: 80
After graduating summa cum laude from Chromatik City College University with a degree in Sports Physiology, Zoe, affectionately called "Z" by her peers, worked at the Capitalizt Dome until the CFF came calling. Strikingly beautiful and fit, nobody would question her if she put on the uniform herself and went out on the pitch; her physique definitely belong out there. Smart, calculating, and personable, there were actually some concerns about her becoming a visual distraction to the players, which were shot down quickly by her professionalism and integrity. That being said, the Chromatik locker room will be... a bit more spicy than before. The players have done an admirable job of keeping things professional between them, which has allowed her to perform her duties without a problem. It is hard to believe that the team didn't have a physio for a long time. Now rumored to be dating a now-retired Erika Morningstar - much to the conservative Chromatik media's chagrin - "Z" has really settled into her role.

Team: Osarius National Football Team (aka "The Firebirds")
Style modifier: +1.5 (counter-pressing defence; possession-based attack)

Manager: Odell McIntosh

Captain: Belshazzar Qanbari
Vice-captain: Marios Mundi
3rd captain: Storm Galdeira

Home stadium: Mount Crown Stadium, Burningham (cap. 98,000 all seated)
The Firebirds' home stadium is built at the foot of the imposing Mount Crown, on the outskirts of the capital city, Burningham. Fans are known for their extremely vocal support, and the Osarian national stadium has been described as a difficult place to play. The stats used to support this notion, but in recent years, most teams would probably fancy themselves to come away with a win. This doesn't make it an *easy* place to play, though. Between the odd pitch dimensions and somewhat intimidating atmosphere, don't rule out a shock home win against a significantly stronger team.

The most vociferous home fans are seated in a kop-esque stand built into the mountainside, with the huge, rocky face behind them adding to the intimidation. The pitch itself is usually made shorter, but wider than most, which is likely highly unfamiliar to most visiting teams. This is deliberate, as these odd dimensions cater to the short midfield passing and counter-pressing style the Firebirds employ, as well as their frequent use of width. As a result, long-ball teams will likely find it difficult to find space behind the defence, but teams making liberal use of wingers will likely flourish. In a similar vein, a high offside trap (near the halfway line, for example) will likely be more difficult to pull off, due to the speed at which a transition can occur -- with forwards still onside in their own half -- and limited space between defence and midfield.

My RP Permissions are pretty chill to be honest.
Pretty much anything goes, I only ask that you let me decide the severity of any injuries you decide to RP for me, please.
Send my players off if you must -- if its a player I really didn't wanna lose for the next game, I'll RP an appeal or something.
Oh and at the risk of sounding a bit "RAWR" ... do not kill any of my players or coaching staff (unless I say go ahead via TG).
Killing fans is okay though. Go nuts with that if you like.

I have a pretty clear tactical philosophy in mind for my team so I recommend at least skim-reading the next section, or the wiki page on the "Osarian 4-3-3" (Suzakudo: The Way of the Firebird), if you intend to RP the match in detail. Long story short, Osarius play in a style that is something like Arsenal's invincibles -- in that it's both possession-based AND counter-attacking -- while lining up in a Xavi/Messi-era Barcelona type 4-3-3 formation. Of course, the possession-focused aspects of this approach have been tempered for a more pragmatic counter-attacking approach in recent years, with the quality (and prestige) of the national side nowhere near what it once was. As opposed to the Audioslavian counter-attacking approach, which often necessitates a somewhat passive setup, or the ultra-high line "gegenpressing" employed by teams such as Liverpool or Borussia Dortmund, Osarius generally operate more like Aston Villa; which tend to use a mid-low block, and a reasonably high press, with focus shifting to a more compact, defensive approach when it is required.

The team will generally attempt to control possession or play a progressive game, rather than engage in consciously defensive play; and "parking the bus" is a cardinal sin. When out of possession, the team will generally press high up the pitch to compress the available space -- because they are largely comfortable playing the ball under pressure -- and try to win the ball back as quickly as possible, sometimes over-committing, and leaving themselves vulnerable to a swift counterattack. Generally pacy defenders help to alleviate this problem somewhat.

Against stronger opponents, expect to see a more defensive positioning manifest itself, though. Fullbacks will be less likely to bomb forward, and the team tends to be more conservative in possession, often playing backward to draw the opposition in, before launching a devastating counter attack with pace. They will also slow down when ahead later in the game, but only so they don't unnecessarily provide opportunities to lose possession and/or concede. This doesn't mean they wont take the opportunity to score if it presents itself, though...

The front line of three is often very flexible, with all three (usually) capable of playing in any of the front three roles at any given time. Most of the time, the centre forward/striker will remain the focal point of the team's central attacking, though, whether they are receiving passes or moving to make space for the wingers.

The midfield will almost always be lined up in way that the three players form a sideways arrow (minus the shaft). By this, I mean that one will sit deep, one will push forward, and one will be a box-to-box type shuttling between the two. On the occasions no specifically named attacking midfielder ("AM" in the squad list) is used, typically it is an indicator that the manager expects a tighter battle for possession in the midfield zone, and it's likely two midfielders will be box-to-box, while the third midfielder is a more defensively-inclined (possibly even a "DM") option.

If there IS an attacking midfielder on the pitch, they will operate either as a playmaker, and most passages of play will go through them... or they will push forward from midfield a lot, getting onto the end of passes in the final third, and thus scoring a fair few goals. I'll try to highlight which of the two if I feel like it really matters. Typically speaking, if none of the other two midfielders is mentioned as being outright defensive, the attacking midfielder is a "playmaker" type.

Defensively, Osarian centre-backs are typically pacy and expected to have strong aerial ability and good positional awareness. The latter part is less important if a player is particularly quick, though. Almost certainly, one of the centre backs or the goalkeeper will be good at organising the defence. In cases where there is a notable lack of organisational skill -- typically in situations lacking experience -- there is a clear knock-on effect on the rest of the team. With that in mind, don't expect starting centre backs to be among the younger or less experienced members of the team.

The fullbacks typically overlap a lot -- considering how often the wingers change sides and become "inverted" (i.e. cutting inside the defender on their stronger foot, rather than pulling wide) -- and seem to operate almost as advanced as wingbacks (or even midfielders against considerably weaker teams) a lot of the time, making the system a sort of like a 3-4-3 when Osarius attack, due to the deepest central midfielder dropping back to a position right in front of the defence, to counter against a potential playmaker "in the hole" for the opposition. This can be a potential weak point if this player is small in stature, as they will often get drawn into the backline and thus, potentially mismatched against forwards.

If you did read the spoiler above, thank you! You don't have to stick to all of that, it just fits in better with the way I intend to RP my team (when I can).

Manager: Odell McINTOSH
Much like his predecessor, Francesca Panico, McIntosh is a disciple of Suzakudo, and longs to see Osarius restored to a position of envy within the football world. To him, winning is meaningless if his team don't do it "the Osarian way" -- that is, through use of the old concepts and methodologies that took the Firebirds to the top of the world in the first place. Upon taking over the national team, he changed little, except handing the captain's armband to Belshazzar Qanbari -- arguably the best player in the squad, and someone McIntosh has clearly identified as a key operative in his long-term plan -- and emphasising the need for Danielle Jackson to be able to find space in the attacking third. Being arguably a lot more personable than his somewhat aloof predecessor, McIntosh seems to enjoy a closer relationship with his players, more reminiscent of Jermain Lewis -- though far less intimidating -- which may serve him well in tough situations. The media love him, too. Despite a lacklustre showing at the Rabastor Unity Trophy, there has been little real criticism of the former Hastmead Diamante academy director.

Predictably, the team is built around Qanbari and Jackson's extraordinary talent, supplemented by the interplay of players like Viridiana, Niko, Hyde, and Nagy -- the first three of whom, McIntosh coached at youth level -- and their ability to create space for Jackson to operate in, and supply the ball to her. Darron Bryant's role is largely that of a "janitor" under McIntosh, in that he is expected to "clean up" any chances that Jackson cannot (i.e. crosses which escape to the back post, or aren't fully cleared). Supply from the left wing is most often left up to Aristeia Viridiana, while Niko creates from a deeper role. Qanbari's well-rounded skillset means he is expected to plug whatever gap exists in the midfield at any given time, be that a ball-winner, a transitional player, leading the press, supporting the defence... he has to identify and then carry out whichever is needed. A weakness in this incarnation of the Firebirds is perhaps the defence, which relies heavily on the instincts and athleticism of standout players like Storm Galdeira and former captain Marios Mundi. Clever movement from opposition forwards can cause problems at the back for this team, and there is limited scope to remedy such problems within this squad. The fullbacks, however, are generally good at isolating opposition wingers, particularly when supplemented by defensive work from the Osarian wingers -- the problem being that Suzakudo requires the Firebirds' wingers to press fairly high most of the time. Later in the game, this has a significantly detrimental effect on the efficacy of the Osarian defence in wide areas.

Five-time World, seven-time Regional, two-time Under-21, one-time Under-18 and one-time Olympic Men's Football champions Starblaydia are trying to defend their hard-won title. Crowned Kings of Atlantian Oceania for the first time in 180 years, the side ranked seventh in the world have their eyes firmly set on a repeat of their heroics four years ago

To achieve this, manager Ázëwyn Fëanáro has mixed her core team of tried and trusted individual with the best of the youth squads she has been bringing through since taking command of the entire national team setup, plus the SFA has also almost completed a brand new national elite training and performance centre to further harness elite sporting prowess. Momentum for deep knock-out runs seems to be on Fëanáro's side at the moment; Starblaydia are a side that almost any team in the competition will fear and one that can not be ruled out as among the pre-tournament favourites.

Staff
AF. Ázëwyn Fëanáro*, Manager, 4,074
44th & 47th World Cup Winner, World Cup Hall of Famer, 61st AOCAF Cup Winning Manager

270 Caps, 71 Goals (Uncapped at youth level)
Fëanáro scored the winner in the 47th World Cup Final against Valanora, denying them a title on their own turf and lifting Starblaydia to the mantle of all-time greatest team. Known for her excellent attacking play, range of passing and great eye for goal that lifts her to second in the all-time goalscorers list too, by virtue of a nearly 1-in-4 ratio, Ázëwyn Fëanáro is a symbol of grace, power and beauty from Starblaydia's golden age, some forty tournaments ago when the Cup was in its 40s. It is these qualities that the SFA managed to recapture with Fëanáro at the helm, bringing her trademark poise and piercing yell to the touchlines after more than a decade of national failures. She's taken her team to the World Cup Final and AOCAF glory, but can this be the time they break through the ultimate barrier?

AC. Aaron Cole, Coach, 45
90 Caps, 54 Goals (7 Caps, 4 Goals at youth level)
The first person to break into the Starblaydi all-time top ten goalscorers in literally generations, Cole had the dubious honour of being the man to finally knock Simeone Di Bradini out of that same list. His excellent footballing brain, aggression levels, tactical nous and all-round Audioslavian/Brenecian level of shithousery made him a uniquely successful striker in a nation more used to smooth flying strikers and hulking target men. These are the qualities he brings to the national team on a much grander scale, giving them a level of needle to their play hitherto unknown for the team in white and purple, proving his style's effectiveness with a win over Audioslavia in the AOCAF Cup Final where they 'out-Bulls'd the Bulls'. The squad selection this time has somewhat fewer spoilers and destroyers than that squad, but this team is developing a character that can did deep and do the dirty work when required.

AO. Amari Ollarion*, Coach, 47
46 Caps, 0 Goals (3 Caps, 0 Goals at youth level)
The best female Starblaydi goalkeeper since Paola Mendez, Ollarion has been managing her beloved Corinthian Spirits side for five years now, and other than Fëanáro is the most high-profile female coach in the Starblaydi game. Ollarion recently stepped up as coach for the Starblaydi Women's Olympic team and did the no mean feat of taking them to the Quarter-Finals, so she has been brought into the setup to continue her journey on the national level.

AOCAF 62 Roster

Postby Tropicorp » Tue Nov 03, 2020 9:09 am

Image

Tropicorp began their competitive Footsport program during AOCAF 49 with their first ever match a respectable 0-3 defeat to regional super powers Valanora. The purpose of their participation was to determine if the regional footsport tournament would be a suitable environment for the testing of products such as athletic gear produced by Tropicorp Sports. During AOCAF 50, Tropicorp put out a call amongst a subset of its scientists, researchers and engineers for support on an ongoing project. The project saw Tropicorp scientists, researchers, engineers and other such guinea pigs wearing special fabrics with electronic measuring devices sewn into them in order to aid in their measurements and calculations. The data collected during AOCAF 50 was absolutely invaluable to the project. The experiments were a success and Tropicorp Engineers have been putting the data to the test at Tropicorp locations in Tropicoast and also at a new facility at an undisclosed location, also on Calania. During AOCAF 51, the scientists, researchers and engineers returned to collect some final data points to push them towards the final phase of the project. However, a strange thing happened during AOCAF 51 - the Tropicorp Scientists - perhaps a result of their own detailed research of the game, began not only to be competitive, but to win matches. The Techies actually qualified for the Knockout Rounds and stunned many with their performances until ultimately being knocked out by host and eventual champion nation Valanora.

From there, Tropicorp became a testing ground for the joint Tropicorp-Cocoabo Park led Cocoabo Enrichment and Enhancement Project. The Cocoabo proved to hold their own on the pitch and proved that they were ready for action, seeing action during World Cup 78 Qualifying for Turori and during the XII Olympiad in Novanaya and Vekaiyu - with the Cocoabo team making it all the way to the Olympic final before losing to Darmen and earning the Silver Medal. Until the Cocoabo lift the NS World Cup trophy, however, the work for the scientists and researchers from Tropicorp and Cocoabo Park will not be done. They will continue tweaking, continue training, and continue CEEPing. Now, the focus for the Tropicorp Team is not to perfect the Cocoabo Squad, but to study the makeup of the 'optimum' team - a hybrid Citizen-Cocoabo Roster that could one way or another shape the future of footsport in the Vilitan Cove. This experiment is expected to continue through an entire generation of Cocoabo. While the current generation have made improvements in collaborating on field with Citizen players, they were bred to function as a singular unit. Only with the next generation of Cocoabo is it believed that full, seamless integration between Citizen and Cocoabo players will be possible.

Eligibility to compete on Team Tropicorp is defined as follows:
  • Currently Employed by Tropicorp or in Retiree status with Tropicorp
  • Has resided 3+ Years in Vilita, Turori or Tropicoast

Vilitan Defender Moumouni Verre'elali is eligible for Team Tropicorp as a citizen of Vilita and employee of Tropicorp through Tropicorp FC, however the defender has been chosen for the Vilita and Turori AOCAF Squad.

Goalkeepers
Hanauma Ranbomahi is a 23 year old Vilitan Goalkeeper who qualifies to play for the National Team of Tropicorp as an employee of Tropicorp by virtue of playing their club footsport at Tropicorp FC in the Vilitan League. Any Ranbomahi is expected to play all no fewer then 45 minutes in each match. Tropicorp employee Jorden Calvanese will serve as the emergency backup.

They will alternate between central and wing positions. Former Sunrisean midfielder Hasato Kimiki qualifies to play for the squad as an employee of Tropicorp by virtue of being Tropicorp FC's Assistant Manager. Kimiki will reprise his coaching role for the Tropicorp team as well as joining the team on the pitch should they need reinforcements. Greg Narine and Laari Kallimanis lead the Scientist and Research teams in midfield.

Many choices ahead for Banijan manager Marcus Waters as he looks to fill out his squad after winning World Cup 86

Image
Scenes at street parties in Herzegovina City after the World Cup 86 Final

HERZEGOVINA CITY, MORAVICA- Well, it has been done. Who would've thought it was possible. All those years ago, us finally entering World Cup Qualifying ahead of World Cup 73, and slowly but surely, building towards our World Cup 86 title. Plenty of moments of heartbreak along the journey, plenty of moments of pain and even embarassment along the way. But throughout all these years, we've built teams that kept improving, that kept getting tougher, both physically and mentally. In World Cup 86, we had a great team that had a spirit of togetherness, both talented and hard-working, with the right amount of luck to lift the trophy for the first time.

It was, of course, the peak of the Banijan sporting experience. And at this first friendly since that fateful night in Tundra Falls, here in Herzegovina City against Siovanija & Teusland, there was a party thrown like no other. Of course, there was an official parade in Busukuma, and the team went on a non-playing tour with the trophy, visiting a number of cities before players had to fly off for their club seasons. But this friendly with Siovanija & Teusland, would be the last time this 23 got together- a number of them would see this as their farewell match from the national team, as Marcus Waters moves new blood into the squad for AOCAF LXII and the World Cup 87 cycle.

It was a special day on many levels. All 23 players who were members of the World Cup 86 championship team were awarded full membership in the Order of the Golden Heart, the highest civilian award granted by Banija's elected legislators in the Lukiiko. The assistant coaches and training staff were granted a lower-level civilian award. The Kabaka then, in a surprise announcement, awarded the manager, Marcus Waters, full membership in the Order of Simba- the highest civilian award granted by the Kabaka. Marcus Waters became the first foreign private citizen(aka non-government official) in Banijan history to achieve full membership in the Order of Simba. It was a monumental day for the Equestrian manager, as the RBSA also chose to announce his induction into the World Cup Hall of Fame.

It was a special environment at Star Field in Herzegovina City, where they debuted with their specialty jerseys. A specialty kit on sale to celebrate their new World Cup title(the word "Mabwinga" means "Champions" in Olusanke, Banija's primary language). The jerseys were the same, of course, but the single golden star was added to the top of the crest, representing Banija's World Cup title. The Kabaka in attendance. And then the match proceeded to kick off.

While it was Banija's World Champion squad, they proceeded to get beat, once again, by Siovanija & Teusland. It is the third consecutive loss for Banija to S&T. It is interesting- the visitors were ahead within minutes, and then scored another just before halftime to make it 2-0 at the break. While Kuma Bultum would hit home a header to make it 2-1, Siovanija & Teusland scored on the counter late in the half to spoil the celebration, and come with a 3-1 victory. Newly inducted World Cup Hall of Famer Marcus Waters gave 'full credit' to the Goldhorns for their win, saying that they came more focused and more energized, and flatly out-played the Kadongo Kamu for 90 minutes. He said his team would have to play better than that if they wanted to succeed at AOCAF LXII, and predicted their GSW rivals would have an excellent showing in the regional championships.

Now, of course, with the last match played with that World Cup 86 squad, the team must look to the future. Time stops for nobody, and now it is time to get back to work. Banija & The Busoga Islands are co-hosting AOCAF LXII, with the nations league format that was used so successfully in World Bowl XXXVII. Phase 1 will be home & away double round robin, with Banija getting put into the group of death. WE will play Sarzonia, who beat us to open World Cup 85. We will play Audioslavia, who finished in second place in AOCAF LXI. And, last but not least, we will play Equestria, our archrivals whom we've never beaten. WIth players like Gitonga Kahara retiring, and younger players angling for a spot in the squad, it leaves a couple of questions before Marcus Waters announces his final 23.

Question #1- What to do with Idai Uster?

This is perhaps the most pressing question facing Marcus Waters. Now, of course, this is a problem that every single manager would like to have- too many good players at a single position. But it is one that Marcus Waters will have to navigate. Ilman Jawara, since Assefa Yitebarke retired following World Cup 83, has had a stranglehold on the #9 position, as the Banijans only play one person at that position. But Idai Uster has been lying in wait for a few years, and this past year, the AFC Treason striker has fully exploded onto the scene.

24 goals in the most recent Nepharim Premiership season, leading her team in goals as they won the world's toughest league. A hat trick in the CdC Final. She's explosive and in good form, and it is hard to deny her playing time. And while she came off the bench in World Cup 86, she performed brilliantly in her limited playing time- scoring three goals throughout the tournament, including the match winner on Matchday 1 against Ko-oren, and scoring in the World Cup Final against Nephara.

One cannot honestly say that we are fielding our best 11 if Uster is not on it. The problem is- Jawara is also fulfilling his end of the bargain. He puts on strong performances, and is still playing at an extremely high level for Soldarian FC. So what does Waters do- does he platoon the position, which could destroy rhythm, or for the first time in his tenure does he look to change up the formation by trying to play his star strikers together? For a long time, Banija's best attacking talent was on the wing, but now it has shifted to our star attackers playing up front. It'll be interesting to see what he'll play around with in Banija's remaining friendlies, and what lineup he runs out with for our Matchday 1 tilt with Equestria.

Question #2- With Alanso Tibamba finally set to make his debut for the national team, how will he form the backline?

Now, this is a very interesting question. Currently, of course, Banija set up in a 4-2-1-3, and have basically stuck to that same formation for a generation. But sometimes, new is better. Sometimes, change is good. And now, he will have a challenge. The Banijan national team has always been strong at center back, although quite a bit weaker on the wings. Kuma Bultum, of course, leads the line himself as the former Galactico is an anchor for what is widely considered Atlantian Oceania's biggest club, Raynor City United. And Demba Kinteh is beside him, with Kawsu Kaba, who puts in consistent club performances but inconsistent national team performances, on the bench.

But now, Alanso Tibamba is set to make his debut. He has played a starring role at Istria City FC the past few seasons, helping transform a previously woeful defense into a strong one, one that surged his club forward to a BSL title, and then to winning the Atlantian Oceania Champions League the very next season among back to back IFCF Champions League appearances. He's had disagreements with the manager before, but both player and coach say those are behind them. Tibamba will be making a move down Banija's most famous pipeline, as he will play in the Elven Premiership next season.

But now, they've got four national team qualify center backs- Bultum, Tibamba, Kinteh, and Kaba. Where will Tibamba fit? Will he simply come off the bench? Or does that third trusted center back lead the coach to maybe try a more adventurous back 3, instead of his traditional back 4? The opportunity may be there to try it out for a major tournament, see if it can work when it really counts. It seems like a longshot, but it could be a radical formation change. Banija could potentially run a 3-4-1-2, or even an extremely unconventional 3-2-3-2.

Question #3- Can we survive the group of death?

Of course, Banija brought this format, so we cannot have any complaints when the scheduling Gods give us a tough hand. A group where all four teams have World Cup trophies, where we've lost our last matches against two of them, while the third(Audioslavia) we haven't played since the last time this tournament was on home soil in AOCAF LVIII. But remember what happened when we ran this format at the World Bowl. Of course, it's not exactly apples to apples when you consider the ranking, but our national gridiron team got destroyed.

They want 1-5 in Phase 1, with many of those 5 losses being blowouts. That seems unlikely here, but it should serve as a warning- just because things look good on paper, doesn't mean they'll be good in reality. We'll need to make sure we're in form by Matchday 1- an opening day matchup against Equestria is always going to be massively difficult. Hopefully, we can do whatever it takes to stay top 3 in our group so we can earn a League A berth for Phase 2, where the ability to earn a bye to the Round of 16 is possible.

Lots of questions for this team, especially in terms of squad outlook and tactics. And yet, lots of possibilities. We'll look forward to the start of this tournament just as much as everyone else. As always, go Banija!

Manager
Didrik Gjedrem
Age: 54
Gjedrem comes into the management position of the Marauders looking rather confident of being able to bring glory to the national team once more, having successfully guided Raynor City United to its continued dominance in the Elven Premiership. A fan of the methodical attack, he mentality suits into the personalities of the players that he has at his disposal, and his continued success at the Rockers has proven he knows how to deal with egos and keeping a team motivated even against weak opposition. The switch from club football to international one is tricky for most managers, but Didrik looks to have all the tools necessary to have a smooth transition and get the side contending for both regional and World Cup titles.

Assistant Manager
Jens Reiniger Image
Age: 50
Reiniger was an intelligent defender in his playing days with Crawford City FC and the idea of stepping away from the game after his playing retirement didn't sit well with him. Reiniger believes in strict discipline but in being fair, while also preferring to play a possession based defensive tactic, that takes advantage of the opposition when they overextend. Much was admired about his single-minded approach to playing the 'right way', but his lack of a Plan B sank him in the rough waters of the Nepharim Premiership. The VSC hopes that attitude and defensive prowess would be better utilized in a national team capacity.

Keeper

1 Sean Smørdal, Starling Image
Age - 34
Sex - M
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 181 lbs
His height, sheer natural athleticism, and profound reflexes have been put to the test both domestically and for the national teams. There are many glimpses of what could be a stand out keeper for the ages but there seems to be a lack of focus to keep that majesty going. Regardless, he has proven to be one of the better keepers in the Marauders recent history and is heads and shoulders above the competition for the number one jersey. If he were to only refine that focus, get more consistent, then the Marauders could lessen their worry about defense and get back to playing the free flowing attacking play that they made famous nearly eighty years ago.

Defenders

4 Hans Vold, Rolalas FC
Age - 31
Sex - M
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 166 lbs
Vold very well may be the sole reason that the Blues have become a challenger for the IFCF places in the Premiership over the last few years from their usual midtable standing. Decently tall while being deceptively strong given the lanky frame, his a professional defender that can hold his own and lead the backline if it is required of him. Being a bit faster than the other defenders, he will be asked to drift wide when the wingers are caught out of position.

6 Martin Gundersen, Mar Sara FC
Age - 29
Sex - M
Height: 6'5"
Weight: 193 lbs
Gundersen comes in as your favored strong giant who controls the back and is as much as a nusance to attacking players as the rules of the game allow him to be. A tad on the slower side for a Vanorian but his awareness to detail and ability to track the game means he is usually in the best position to make a critical tackle or clearing header.

2 Matheo Dybvik, Rozelle Image
Age - 30
Sex - M
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 164 lbs
Matheo is a smart centerback who has the versatility to both put in crunching tackles and also play it out of the back, perhaps a touch of his heritage mixed in with his time in Brenecia. Unlike at his club, he will be asked to drift out wide to mark attackers, which is the biggest question mark of his game.

Midfield

8 Pánfilo Veliz, FC Capri
Age: 27
Sex - M
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 156 lbs
The first player born in Sabine and Caddonia to make the national team, Veliz was carefully groomed to be a dynamic attacking winger coming through the Capri youth and reserve teams. That masterfully ability to dribble, cross, or if needed even finish moves makes him a wonderful assist for the offensive side of the ball, but does mean he is a bit more lax when it comes to his defensive responsibilities.

7 Amalie Nergård, Anomalies Image
Age - 29
Sex - F
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 147 lbs
Sometimes thought of as a more attacking center mid, other times more of a utility midfielder. Regardless, she is quite talented and will play her out of and leave everything on the field to see her side have success.

10 Laborious Hawk, Bastion Image
Age - 747
Sex -M
Height: 6'5"
Weight: 213 lbs
Words do not even begin to define his talent, his talent defines words. He was awarded one of the spots that the Vanorians have in the World Cup Hall of Fame, with it being very well deserved, as he has and continues to earn everything he has been given every single day. Hawk simply strives to be the very best footballer, captain, and teammate that there can be, with the hunger for perfection driving him forth on and off the pitch.

5 Jakob Larsen, Unioneers Image
Age - 30
Sex - M
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 174 lbs
A tall and lanky fellow, but don't let the lithe frame fool you, he is a destroyer through and through and will not think twice about putting in a crunching challenge on you in a fifty-fifty situation. Perhaps due to playing over in Eura, Larsen is a bit more of a physical player than most Vanorians but has that touch of technical class that one has come to expect from a Vanorian midfielder.

3 Simon Kvaal, Pikemouth Image
Age - 31
Sex - M
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 158 lbs
Truly a masterful maestro out wide, with both the dynamic passing and crossing ability that makes managers salivate and desire his services for their own club. With the departure of most of the elves, now bar Hawk, Kvaal finally has been given his chance to show that he is up to the Vanorian standard and can proudly be adorned in that five star crested kit that he grew up idolizing.

Strikers

9 Harlem Saxstrom Image, Mar Sara FC
Age - 29
Sex - F
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 154 lbs
Saxstrom proved to be everything that the Marauders were hoping for and more with her deft touch, good pace, and amazing power on her shot. Paired with Thor, the pair were a fierce force to be reckoned with moving forward and almost single handidly took the Marauders deep into the World Cup Knockouts once more. Having some time together and both in their prime should hopefully see a replication of their form from two years ago if not an improvement on it.

11 Thor Møller, Shamrock Cathair Image
Age - 30
Sex - M
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 157 lbs
While Harlem may be decently well rounded as a striker, Thor is the complete package in pace, strength, accuracy on shooting, as well as the ability to absolutely blast the laces off the ball if required. In the prime of his career and having already proven he is up to the task at hand with a great goal return during the last World Cup, Thor will be looking to help the Marauders hopefully add a sixth star to their crest.

Gallavrynga National Football Team

The Lionhearts

The Gallavrynga national team represents the four regions of the nation of Gallavrynga. From the tribes of the north, the eastern hills, the southern marshes, and the western plains. The Lionhearts represent their country with pride. They will fight until the last minute and they will push for victory even in the most dire of circumstances.

Manager- Isaac Longwood- The Former New London Irish forward takes over as the manager of the national team as they hopefully head for their first play out of Gallavrynga in Banija or the Busoga Islands. As a former forward Longwood employs a very attacking 4-3-3, with inverted wingers and fullbacks that like to overlap. They will hopefully score a bunch of goals and make there fans happy at home, but they have never played a game at home let alone on the road, so this could be a long tournament for the lionhearts.

Goalkeepers
#12 – Ashante Collier – 24 – Stade Bremmont
#1 – Cole Crane – 22 – AFC Otterfish
#23 – Sabier Cartegena – 26 - Deportivo la Felguegoa

The Goalkeepers like much of this young squad are not exactly the most experienced bunch. Ashante will get the majority of the starts, but the southerner, Crane, will likely see some play as well. Cartegena will be expected to be the “veteran” of the crew, but none of these young players are exactly known commodities around the nation.

Defenders
#2 – Chiduke Mravenga – 25 – AS Chateau Mauppes
#3 – Everett Madison – 28 – Sherwood Rovers (Captain)
#5 – Clinton Cavanaugh – 26 – Oaks FC
#22 – Julio Sanchez – 22- Racing Toloma

#14 – Efrain Perez – 25 – Universidad Axalaida
#18 – Carlton Lassiter – 30 – Hampton Bridge
#21 Lafayette Richelieu – 18 – Notre Dame de Montauseau

The Defenders have a little more games in their legs including Captain Everett Madison of Sherwood Rovers. The defenders do have a little bit of youth among them including young talent Lafayette Richelieu who could be a big thing to look out for in the future of AO soccer. Mravenga and Sanchez will get up the wings as bombing fullbacks, with some defensive responsibility, while Madison and Cavanaugh are unlikely to stray much from the depth they start the game at including failing to move forward even on free kicks, with neither of them being much of a threat on a corner kick.

#4 – Adam Martin – 24 – Oxfork United
#8 – Carla Martinez – 20 – Prydelio Pirates
#10 – Francisco Testudio – 22 – Real Pyrdelio

#6 – Tashard – 17 – Freicote Stallions
#11 – Pedro Valenzuela – 23- Real Carrarese
#15 – Pearl Weaver – 26 – Oaks United
#16 – Quavean – 18 – Rennes

An interesting set up in the midfield with two rivals starting alongside each other. The two Prydelio rival midfielders will have to learn how to work with each other, or it could be an overrun midfield. Testudio will be counted on to make the goals happen for the three forwards, but Martinez and Martin will have to make up for his lack of defensive work rate. The midfield also marks the first appearance of any unnamed as young midfielders Tashard and Quavean appear here. They are unlikely to see a lot of play before their namings, but they could be important players in the future of Gallavrynga soccer.

#7 – Shakur Giraffe – 23 – Mukojo Sundowns
#9 – Carlos Villanueva – 20 – CF Ilhares
#17 – Sean Booth – 22 – Leirwood FC

#13 – Jackson Fox – 25 – AFC Otterfish
#19 – Martin Duvall – 32 – Stade de Freicote
#20 – Barry Osborn – 18 – London Town

An interesting front three with the only named northerner on the squad in Giraffe, The Sundowns man will fly down the left wing and come on to his preferred right food. On the opposite wing Sean Booth is also right footed so his inverted winger role will be more about opening up space for the Julio Sanchez to cross in balls from the fullback position. Carlos Villanueva is the “starter” at the 9 position but will likely see a lot of bench play as well with Martin Duvall a savvy veteran of the Gallavrynga league coming on a sort of super sub, but that said he can’t play more than 60 minutes a game and that makes him less likely to be a starter unless the right matchup arises.
