Kergstan became a powerful ally of Ratsirana and established a small military peacekeeping force to help in the building of the new armed forces of Ratsirana.
Due to the inequal outcome of the cobalt discovery, the Mbeni majority south felt alienated once again and sympathies for the former RNLA-MA resurrected.
During the peace-time the RNLA-MA moved into becoming the Ratsirana National Congress, the major opposition party of the country, but given that they obtained a weak result in the country elections and their alienation from the constitutive steps of the nation-building process they've decided to take up arms again with the newly found support of the southern impoverished Mbenis.
Their strength though has weakened, many Mbenis support Patrice Asande now despite him being a Ndoni and the Armed Forces were propped up with hundreds of vehicles by Kergstan.

CONTEXT
- Landlocked african nation
- Land is mainly savanna, with tropical rainforest around the Beno river and semi-arid in the north-west
- Beno river is not functional for the navigation of large ships
- The conflict is motivated by an ethnical-political division between the majority Mbeni people (52.1 %) and the biggest minority the Ndoni people (30.7 %)
- At the moment a Ndoni socialist president is ruling trying to create an ethnically inclusive secular democratic mixed-market republic, the opposition is ruled by a Mbeni veteran nomenklatura and their political end is to create an exclusive Mbeni fascist christian nation as they see Ndonis as the former advantaged aides of the colonial forces, thus a need of vengeance arises.

The Armed Forces of Ratsirana comprise the Army, the Presidential Guard and Air Guard totalling 29.600 troops, 240 APC/IMV, 108 MBT, 94 Howitzers/Mortars, and 5 helicopters.
The Armed Forces are born out of the merger of the RNLA and some remnants of the RNLA-MA who decided to join the nation's armed forces after the end of the first civil war.
The government is trying to align the armed forces ethnic makeup to the general demographics of the broader population, at least on paper.
The main parliamentary force supporting the Armed Forces is the Broad Front.
Ratsirana National Liberation Army - Mbeni Awakening
The RNLA-MA is estimated to total around 45.000 troops, some though only armed of machetes.
They have a big amount of mines and mortar shells though.
Despite being much weaker than the Armed Forces when it comes to equipment, they are fed a big amount of drugs which makes of them evil and tireless soldiers, often villages when hearing about RNLA-MA being nearby leave their homes in fear of getting massacred.
The rebel force subscribes to Mbeni supremacism, Mbeni ultra-nationalism, Christian right, Right populism and Neo-fascism.
The main parliamentary force supporting the Armed Forces is the Ratsirana National Congress.
