The Book of Reality: A Hypothetical

This a meme that makes the rounds now and then on Facebook and I thought it would make for a interesting hypothetical.

Your walking in the park when you come across a mysterious book lying on the ground called the Book of Reality. You sit down on the bench and open it to the first page.

It says: This is The Book of Reality. Anything written in this book will happen exactly as written with a few exceptions.

This book cannot be used to kill anyone. It cannot be used for criminal activity and It cannot be used to bring people back from the dead.

Im not sure if I'd want that kind of power. I worry if I'd be corrupted by it. Though I suppose to test it I'd use it to make the pandemic end, restore tens of millions of acres of forest and bring back species that have gone extinct or on the verge of extinction. I'd probably hide it after that so no one else could have such power.

Would you use this book? If so what for? If not why?

If for more personal things, then probably make myself less ugly and maybe increase my talent in art and sports

Really? There are countless other things you could do with it.

Anyway, I don’t understand what this book does. It allows you to do anything, minus being an overlord, even on a lower scale. Essentially, you can’t do anything, since magically getting a milk shake, dirty stuff, etc, is kinda being an overlord on a lower scale.

I would find a vaccine for the pandemic, and restore the financial security of those who lost it due to the pandemic and general governmental mismanagement, then I would go on a general programme of relief works to lift the poorest in society out of poverty, and improve education (including political education) internationally.
