Welcome, dear brethren, to the First Annual Western Fardelshufflestein Halloween Shindig! You are cordially invited to Elsinore Palace in New Hamletberg, Western Fardelshufflestein this Hallows' Eve for a night of intrigue, thrills, and deathly dancing well into the wee hours of November. Attend in the most chilling costume your mind can conjure and enter in the Costume Competition for a chance to earn twisted prizes to best suit your most dastardly desires. There is no need for you to bring any poisoned refreshments unless you wish, for the most gruesomely delectable dishes and drinks will be at a mere arm's reach at all times. Behave as disturbingly charmingly or as dreadfully uncouthly as your costume calls for, but no murder, poisoning, debauchery, or war crimes shall occur within the vicinity lest you endanger the attendees and end up in our dreary dungeons specially outfitted for this most dangerous season.
The Event:
A Halloween-themed royal ball in Elsinore Palace from 7pm in the eve to an unspecified time past midnight, or whenever the party is deemed to be concluded. Hosted by HRM Queen Marie Victoria Ethel Kehrer and HRH Prince Wilhelm Hamlet Oscar Nathan Kehrer, with an illustrious list of prominent figures in the Western Fardelshufflesteiner government. The entire vicinity is to be decorated according to the theme stated below. This is a costume party, and while dressing in costume is not required, there is expected to be a degree of formality from all attendees. A voluntary costume contest is to be held for those who so wish to enter, and there will be a great variety of comestibles and refreshments with ingredients and allergens clearly labeled in multiple languages and with highly recognizable icons. Alcoholic beverages are not to be provided or consumed while at the event; NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE GRANTED TO THIS RULE, and violation may result in the offender being removed from the party. The same goes for drugs, though one may smoke in designated areas located away from the main party. A disc jockey will be playing a myriad of songs, many relating to Halloween, with several more being popular dance and party music. Requests are generally accepted in advance and while at the party, but there is always the possibility that not all will have the chance to be played.
The Theme: "HELLA CURSED"
Dress up as the most cursed thing you can think of, whether it is "cursed" as defined by the Internet or something actually cursed.
As themes tend to be, 'tis up to individual interpretation!
