Commend A Mean Old Man

Postby Railroad Crossing » Wed Oct 21, 2020 2:07 pm

This is my first attempt a world assembly proposal.

"The World Assembly,

Recognizing that A mean old man (or AMOM in this proposal) has been in the universe doing good for over 12 years, being founded on the 27th of June, 2008,

Noticing the many WA resolutions that AMOM has written, such as Security Council Resolution #30, "Commend 10000 Islands" a region known for its firsts in regional development and own defender army,

Observing that AMOM was the former delegate of the East Pacific, and is currently a Vizier, or Regional Officer, of said region,

Shocked that there have been many attempts for AMOM to be Commended for his great deeds, but none have prevailed,

Hereby Commends A mean old man."

Anything I should improve on?

You need a bit more for this to be a viable commendation.

Perhaps you should review history first. AMOM will never be commended again.

I can probably think of a more difficult player to commend, but it would certainly take some time.

Best advice would be to find an easier target rather than pursuing this.

It's very sparse, but if you were expand it I see some problems

I don't see a description of the region AMOM is responsible for commending as necessary, there is already the name and number of the resolution, it can be looked up by the individual if needed.
Observing that AMOM was the former delegate of the East Pacific, and is currently a Vizier, or Regional Officer, of said region,

This is actually one of the main reasons to explicitly avoid a commendation of your nominee. As Vizier they were essentially solely responsible for the break in relations between The East Pacific and The West Pacific, an utterance of callous words from AMOM shattered relations between the two regions and caused withdrawal of The West Pacific's oldest embassy. Wrecklessly stupid diplomatic actions do not deserve commendations.

AMOM definetly deserves to be C/Ced. But... maybe wrong type of resolution :p

Also, the lack of research is astounding - AMOM is a very famous NSer who has been involved in many many things not mantioned in this resolution. I suggest you read up on NS history before continuing.

The NLO scandal, being an NPO Senator..... The list goes on and on as to why AMOM’s original commendation was repealed.

I suggest you abandon this and run as far away from it as humanly possible.

Your draft is very poorly researched, not particularly well written and currently illegal. I’ll leave it up to you OP to find your mistake.

Not that you have a particularly good track record of predicting what the SC wants.

Then you take a shot at trying to commend AMOM. Pretty sure it doesn't take a scientist to figure out how well it will go.
