Biography: (Minimum 2-3 paragraphs): Albertine Joy Broussard was born on April 26th, 1965 to a lower middle class family on the outskirts of Schriever, Louisiana. Her father (Geraud Broussard) was a fisherman, catching catfish in the local bayou, and her mother (Maria Kritz) was a stay at home mother who took care of her, and her three other sisters. As a child Broussard was very intelligent, often being the top of the class in all of her subjects and aceing all of her exams, she was also raised very conservatively by her mother, who was always fusing about her acting “like a lady” and being “prim and proper”. Her father and mother were both Cajun and made it a habit to preserve her cultural identity, by making her and her sisters speak french when they were in the house, and wearing traditional Cajun clothing.
In her highschool years, Broussard got into politics, taking debate classes and writing politically motivating essays. She would constantly bash then president Jimmy Carter on being weak on crime and foreign policy. Broussard would channel her frustration with the democratic establishment by excelling at her school work getting a 4.0 grade average by the time she graduated in 1983. After her graduation Broussard was given a scholarship to Princeton University where she got a Masters in Political Science in 1990. In 1991 Broussard ran for the open state senate seat in district 20 unopposed as the only other challenger to the seat forfeited months before the election. In her first 6 years in the senate Broussard became infamous in the senate for being a bulldog against the policies of current governor (not-Edwin Edwards), especially against his pushing for casino gambing in Louisiana, which she stated “Would cause an influx of organized crime in the local cities while the fat cats in the governor’s circle get rich off the backs of the taxpayers that have to keep this immoral practice of embezzlement afloat”.
In 1995 Broussard ran for Governor and got fifth in the jungle primaries with 3% of the vote and was even considered a major candidate, thanks to televised interviews she did with local louisiana networks during her hate campaign against (not-Edwin Edwards). After she went back to her work as a state senator and would be directly responsible for directing the creation of many bills implemented by governor (Not-Mike Foster), her most famous ones being fostering bills that ended state affirmative action and set-aside programs, tort reform bills, and helping create the Louisiana Community and Technical College System, and expanded the Tuition Opportunity Program for Students (TOPS).
In 2003 Broussard ran again for Louisiana governor, this time with great success, beating out three republicans including presumptive nominee, state Secretary of Health and Hospitals, (Not-Bobby Jindal). In the General election Broussard was against Lieutenant Governor (Not-Kathleen Blanco), which Broussard saw as an easy opponent. Having never been challenged for political office ever in her life, Broussard became overly confident about her winning the election, often bashed by the media for exuding an overwhelming amount of chauvinism in her speeches. In Broussard’s speeches she spoke in great detail about her achievements in the Louisiana senate, and how she always fought against the “immoral democratic establishment” to better help the Louisiana people. Despite her absolute confidence in winning the election, she lost to (Not-Kathleen Blanco) winning 48% of the vote to Blanco’s 52%.
Because the Louisiana constitution states that a state senator can only serve 12 consecutive years Broussard was unable to keep her seat and decided to take a step back from politics and start focusing on her social life, getting married to a doctor named Michael Laundry in 2006. During her stint of not being in public office, Broussard would become a recurring guest political commentator on local Louisiana television stations, complaining about Blanco’s handling of Hurricane Katrina and Rita, and later praising Governor (Not-Bobby Jindal) on his pragmatic conservative agenda.
During this cooldown period in her career, Broussard was becoming a household name in Louisiana homes and she decided to use this to her advantage in the 2010 Lieutenant Governor special election. In the election Broussard uplayed her life story to make her seem like an anti-elitist rags to riches candidate, a tactic that worked beautifully winning the general election by 57% of the vote. As Lieutenant Governor Broussard was seen as the enforcer of (not-Jindal’s) policies, being his yes woman, and giving her and (not-Jindal) the nickname of Dynamic-Duo.
In the 2015 Louisiana Gubernatorial election Broussard decided not to run, as she wanted to run for the US senate in 2016, however she was vocal about her overall disgust with the democratic nominee; Russell Long, stating he is “A blatant example of a man with no ambition trying to squeeze his way into a position of power by saying pretty words, while at the same time limiting the people's freedom in the name of socialism”.
In her last year of being a Lieutenant Governor, Broussard used all the power invested in her to be a thorn in Governor Long’s side, being the most vocal proponent against him by far, and constantly trying to bring him down a peg in popularity. In 2016 Broussard ran for US senator again running on an anti-elitist platform, as well as criticizing the other republican candidates for being too soft and money hungry. Early on in her campaign Broussard publically supported Wolf in his 2016 bid to be president, stating him as a “Exemplary example of true conservative in both attitude and conviction, with a honesty to just tell it like it is”. Her anti-elitist rhetoric matched with her endorsement of Wolf, was just enough to bolster her to the top in the jungle primary, where she easily beat her democratic opponent with 60% of the vote.
In her 3 years in the Senate, Broussard has been an avid supporter of President Wolf and his policies while criticizing more mainstream republican agendas and proponents, such as being an early criticizer of both Paulson and Richardson in the republican primaries. In November of 2019, Broussard officially endorsed Bernie Porter for president, stating that “Porter is the strong heavy handed conservative we need at the helm of the republican party, to help us steer back to the direction of morality, which our party has seemed to have forgotten over the years”.

I gained a new level of respect for her, she was very courteous... a true stateswoman.
Remember, no matter if ACB is confirmed or not, Dianne Feinstein has to work with Graham and others- not necessarily on every bill or every committee hearing, but in a general sense.
She recognized this for the political fight it is, and for that I applaud her.
I’m glad I backed her in ‘18. She’s doing better than Kevin De Leon would have done.

Nah soz fam she's an 87 year old fossil representing the biggest bluest state in the Union and she thanked Lindsay Graham for a 'courteous hearing', she should have been leading the charge against ACB from the front, and called out Republicans for the hypocrisy and shameless behaviour on Judicial Nominees, instead she gave him a hug without a mask.
I respect Ed Markey.
I respect Warren.
I respect the batch of moderate oldies in the Democratic Party that have done what they can to oppose this nomination, but I won't smile at Feinstein who in January sold off stocks to avoid a loss after hearing of Covid, who has opposed changing times almost daily, and now is at a stage of legitimizing a third Supreme Court nominee for a President who lost the popular vote by three million voters.

Main Strengths: Excellent Moral reputation, Calm Cool and Collected, Good at ‘America and Apple Pie Patriotism’, African American appeal
Main Weaknesses: Lacks knowledge on major issues, lacks political instincts, bad debater, can’t think on his feet, absent minded
Biography: (Minimum 2-3 paragraphs)
Andrew was born in Douglasville, Douglas County, Georgia in 1975 to a family that owned a small grocery store in the city. His upbringing included a large infusion of black culture as his school, church and neighborhood was majority African American, and played a large role in determining his outlook on the world. As his older brother was set up to inherit the grocery store he instead looked on getting involved in farm work and began to study agricultural science at the University of Nashville in 1994. In order to help pay for his studies he would join the ROTC.
In 1998 he returned to Georgia and began work as an agricultural engineer outside Atlanta until 9/11 occured and he was deployed overseas for multiple tours. Serving as an officer in a mortar unit, Crawford served mostly in Afghanistan and Northern Pakistan but was deployed to Iraq late in his service. Eventually he would be honorably discharged at the rank of Captain in 2007 after breaking his foot during a training exercise.
Following his service he returned to Atlanta and his full time work as an Agricultural Engineer but also became heavily involved in local veterans advocacy groups where he discovered a love and talent for fundraising and public speaking. Veterans events put him in touch with the Republican party who he volunteered for in the 2010 midterm election. His family's good reputation, his appeal to african americans and his status as a veteran made him a highly sought recruit for the Republican Party and in 2012 he was recruited by the Republican party to run for Congress in the open 11th Congressional District seat.
He won easily in the heavily red district and kept a quiet record over the next two years. He wrote a number of “Feel good” bills and popular legislation that didn’t do much to affect real change but had broad appeal, (though most bills were written by others and his staff). He was mainly a public face for the Georgia Congressional delegation and the “Next generation” of Republicans in Congress. He unified his generational appeal with the tea party movement’s surge of energy and anti-establishment appeal to win a race for the open Georgia Senate seat to replace a retiring Republican in 2014.
It was a surprisingly tough race and was characterized by two bad debates on the part of Crawford where he was hit for his lack of specifics. Still the red wave, polarization, and above average African American Appeal could not be overcome by the Democrat and Stevens took 53% of the vote.
The tenure of Crawford has seen him marked as a “Republican Centrist”, not a centrist of the country but in the middle of wherever the Republican party is at the moment. He has been a frequent opponent of China often fighting with Congress to try and decrease reliance between the United States and China who he sees as “America’s primary geopolitical foe”.
In 2016 he endorsed (Not Rubio) but after placing second in his state’s republican primary he switched his support to Wolf saying “The people of Georgia have spoken and I support them”. After this time he gave enthusiastic support to the party’s nominee.
Since the election of President Wolf he has been a major supporter and a big proponent of curbing EPA regulations, signing onto a letter encouraging Wolf to withdraw from the Paris Agreement. On the issue of the Chinese tariffs for example he said “I don’t like tariffs in general but this specific situation calls for them.”
In 2016 he authored and passed the “Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers Reform and Improvement Act of 2016” this mainly dealt with terrorism emergency response and preparedness but also included a few measures regarding police reform and the ability of federal law enforcement to peacefully defuse encounters with Americans especially minorities. In 2017 he authored and passed the “No Hero Left Untreated Act” which expanded Veterans Care and authorized a number of pilot programs for state of the art therapies. In 2018 he authored and passed the “Agricultural Trucking Relief Act” which greatly eased the regulatory burdens on the trucking and agri industry. Is “Pro Life with exceptions”, supports national concealed carry. Voted many times to repeal the affordable care act and supports repeal and replace.
