General Staff announces full intervention in Ausferiland, citing the protection of Volgarian minority within country.

Trucks carrying mainly humanitarian supplies pass through standard inspection en-route to Ausferiland.

For over a year now, Ausferiland has been ravaged by civil strife caused in major part by cultural violence that the Ausferilander government has failed to quell as a result of both general incompetence and complicity in funding and even funneling armament to groups responsible for the igniting of conflict. When it was revealed last year that the Ausferilander government had been actively supporting the Ausferiland Patriot Army (APA), which were responsible for the vicious and violent assault of Volgarians and the burning of their homes and property. The Ausferilander government's seemingly willful blind eye to the maltreatment of its Volgarian population which consists of over 820,000 people prompted the struggle of the Volgarians in Ausferiland to seek their own state, one where they would no longer have to live in fear that they could be the target of near-sanctioned violence. However the government of Ausferiland actively resisted and suppressed the self-determination of its Volgarian population, prompting the Volgarians of Ausferiland to turn to the last resort of armed resistance to establish their own state.

The establishment of the Republic of Ausfer-Volgaria in the western regions of Ausferiland where Volgarians constitute the majority of the population was met with major discontent by Zolevskoy, which has been a fervent supporter of the government of Ausferiland, and has blamed Ausfer-Volgaria for the worsening of tensions in the region, and has not acknowledged the actions of the Ausferilander government and their support of anti-Volgarian groups.

Since late May of 2019, the Armed Forces as well as the National Security Service have sent peacekeeping and humanitarian support into Ausfer-Volgarian territory, and has attempted to avoid any sort of conflict or engagement with Ausferilander and Zolevskoyan forces. However as tensions continue to flare and talks of a ceasefire or diplomatic end to this conflict begin to break down, the General Staff, and Chief of the Armed Forces Markus Köstler have announced that the Armed Forces will launch full-scale military operations in Ausferiland which will include the rapid deployment of more troops into the country and the full participation and operational readiness of the Air Force to begin the interception of Zolevskoyan and Ausferilander aircraft over the Volgarian-populated areas of the nation to protect the Volgarian people in Ausferiland from indiscriminate bombings. It is expected that the National Security Service will also follow suit and announce increased operations of their own.

08/03/2020 - Nedyalko Valov Approves Deployment of More RZAF Forces And Long-Range SAMs, Warns Volgaria Against Escalating War

Zolevskoyan president Nedyalko Valov responded to news of a full Volgarian intervention in Ausferiland today, stating that any threats to Ausferiland, Zolevskoy, or their allies will result in a "decisive and overwhelming" military response. These comments come at the same time as he confirmed that an additional 20,000 troops of the Republic of Zolevskoy Armed Forces will be deployed to Ausferiland, including several batteries of PPDD-21 long-range and PPSD-20 medium range SAMs. Speaking to reporters outside the Montazh though, Zolevskoyan defense minister Teodor Cherganski used less fiery language, saying only that Zolevskoy was capable of defending their allies against any Volgarian threats, and that it's commitments to protecting the sovereignty of Ausferiland were "set in stone". He also stated that as of August 3rd, Zolevskoyan fighter jets and air defense forces were authorized to open fire on any Volgarian aircraft that fire on the Ausferilandian and Zolevskoyan armys no matter where they are in the country, asserting that "enough is enough".

"Volgaria has committed themselves to violating the sovereignty of it's neighbors time and time again, especially the weaker such as Ausferiland. Any military actions taken against our allies will be met with a disproportionate response, both decisive and overwhelming." President Valov stated.

However, he also stated that ultimately, he wishes to end the year-long civil war in Ausferiland peacefully, and that Zolevskoyan military deployments are to protect Ausferiland from any more harm.

Meanwhile, the Volgaria has continued to condemn Zolevskoy and the Ausferilandian government, accusing both of doing nothing to prevent the war from escalating, while simultaneously authorizing military force against military forces of both states. Although the Volgarian army has maintained a presence in the so-called Republic of Ausfer-Volgaria, it was mainly to defend the occupied territory against Ausferilandian and Zolevskoyan forces, which has resulted in frequent engagements. Although only standoffs have occurred with Zolevskoyan forces so far, many fear that this escalation could sweep away any hope of a peaceful resolution to the civil war which has already claimed over 90,000 lives; most of which are civilians.

In an emergency press conference today, High Chancellor Schmidt has announced the deployment of Vazandian troops to Ausferiland in an effort to stem the tide of violence and protect the sovereignty of the unstable nation. Units being deployed include, 2. Panzer Brigade and Fire Support Brigade of the 6. Panzer Divison, as well as the 4. Fighter Squadron of the 2. Fighter Wing, and the 6. Strike Fighter Squadron of the 3. Strike Fighter Wing.

The conference also announced a special security partnership with the Zolevskoyan forces currently in the area, relying on preexisting ties to Vazandia. This security partnership includes a likely controversial no fly zone over all Ausferilandian-held territory, potentially bringing the two countries into direct conflict with the Volgarian forces that have been assisting the secessionists. It's unknown if this will have an effect on the yearly training exercises held in Zolevskoy.

With the escalation of tensions and violence in the Ausferiland, both Volgaria and Zolevskoy have announced increases in the number of forces they have stationed in the war-torn nation.

While Vazandia has been open in its support of the government of Ausferiland as well as its condemnation of the secessionist Volgarian movement, material support has been light. Advisers attached to the Ausferilandian military have been within the country for months, reportedly educating their allies on the use of Vazandian arms that have been supplied.

VSO COMMAND REGIMENTS DEPLOYED TO AUSFERILAND, GRAF TO DEPLOY TO VOLGARIA.
In a pivot from previous policy, the Granzerian MOD has officially stated its intention to intervene in the ongoing Ausferilandian Crisis.

Earlier, Vazandian forces who had been stated by the Vazandian government to be serving in the capacity of Peacekeepers, defending government territory from rebel assault, have officially begun offensive operations of their own. These operations, while targeting the Red Army Movement rather than Ausfer-Volgarian Separatists, highlight the true intention of Vazandia in Ausferiland, to deliver destruction to the people of Ausferiland by gun or bomb. The Granzerian government has repeated its desire to reach a diplomatic solution to the crisis, but in a press conference announcing the change in policy, Vezér István Árpád stated "The Vazandian government cannot be reasoned with, and has demonstrated time and again, in Ausferiland, in Tenburg and across Atlas, that it cares not for OCN values such as peace and diplomacy."

In order to protect Volgarian, and by extension, Granzerian, interests in the region, and provide a counterbalance to increasing Vazandian presence in the region, the Granzerian MOD announced that three Granzerian air wings will be transported to Eastern Volgaria to provide air support to our allies. These will include two squadrons of V-10 Super Cyclones and one squadron of V-12 Tempest aircraft, as well as support aircraft such as AWACS and AEW&C.

In addition to the aerial assistance given, at an emergency summit of the VSO in Véragyőr today, delegates from Voglaria, Nekhteta, Tenburg, Elesar and Granzery unilaterally decided to begin the deployment of VSO Command West and Central to Ausferiland, these joint-VSO forces include a Regiment of Airmobile Infantry and an Armoured Regiment.

Granzery has offered to support these VSO Command Regiments with support regiments including materiel and organisational support, with two logistical battalions and a battalion of combat engineers.

War in the Streets of Varaloux, Crime and Street Politics in the Countries Capital

Faruk Alja Vehab from Prison

The night of October 3rd, 2007. A man walks along the elevated tracks through the city. He's dressed in black, and under his coat is a single shot, 10 gauge shotgun. He walks along the rails heading south on the Blue Line. He crossed the Miscitoon River and followed the line into the Vallée du Soleil neighborhood. Along the track he stops and uses the rail line to access a fire escape. He uses this to make his way up to the fifth floor of a residential apartment. He climbs through the window of Sumail Jolani's apartment. Jolani, sleeping in bed with his girlfriend at the time is shot dead by a single shotgun slug. His girlfriend wakes up, only to see a shadowy figure run out of the room and through the window, back onto the fire escape.

This would be the first shot in what would be called the "Clan Wars". Jolani was the leader of the Deghan Clan, a criminal organization made up mostly of immigrants from Zuljikistan, many of whom fled to Temischa in the 60's and 70's as the northern insurgency hit its peak. Jolani was one such immigrant. He came to Temischa in 1974 at the age of 5 with his mother and 9 siblings. Like many other Zuljiki immigrants he settled in the Vallée du Soleil neighborhood which at the time, and to a large degree still is the epicenter of the Muslim community in the country. Jolani would start his criminal career by running a small purse snatching gang when he was 11. By the time he was 18 he had been arrested nearly 17 times and had served several stints in juvenile detention. Once he turned 18 he became a leader of the Deghan Clans youth wing. He helped to organize attacks against Borzhjian clan members, most notably the Dzemalbek Clan. These came to a fevered pitch when two 14 year old and a 16 year old killed 54 year old Karimsultan Hadzhihassan. Hadzhihassan was known to be involved in the illicit Ketamine trade in the capital and was a prominent member of the Dzemalbek Clan. It was claimed that Jolani ordered this murder, specifying the use of axes in order to make a point. However these claims never materialized any corroborating evidence. Jolani himself would eventually evolve into an eccentric character. By his 30's he was driving around in a pink Vogel, wearing Victor Coulomb Suits, and Habitual smoking Veracoan cigars. He has stated that his wealth has come from properties in the city he owns. He has been steadfast in his denial of involvement in organized crime throughout the years. However in 2008 his properties were audited by the Provincial Auditor General's Office, the audit was personally taken on by Auditor General Louis Asp. Reportedly because the National Attorney General Alice J. Mikkelsen put pressure on them in response to possible links between Jolani and convicted hitman Kareem "Tifl" Aloush. The audit showed that not only was there roughly 28.4 million dollars unaccounted for in Jolanis fancies but that the properties he owned had been vacant since he bought them all circa 2000. These findings were reported to the Providential Attorney General and later to National Prosecutor General Alexandre Shcherbina. His office claims the properties were used to launder money and called for his arrest. Jolani was arrested but posted the $700,000 bail and returned home.

Later that year Suzanna Tchevsky broke a story of Jolani cooperating with federal authorities. According to an illegally leaked document she obtained Jolani said that he used the properties as a front to launder money from several international sources relating to the trade of non-taxable tobacco, Cocaine, Ketamine, and the trafficking of young women. This was all done in cooperation with the Dzemalbek Clan, the killing of Hadzhihassan was requested by the Dzemalbek Clan and that he organized his murder. He claims Hadzhihassan had stolen hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of revenue and the Clan leadership wanted him to become an example. After this report came out the Justice Department would both issue a statement saying the report was a fabrication, and would file a lawsuit against Le Héraut Hebdomadaire the publication which published Tchevsky's piece. The Deghan Clan would side with Jolani claiming the story was false. However people within the Dzemalbek Clan felt like he was attempting to scapegoat them for his own freedom. 17 days after the release of the story Jolani would be murdered.

The Investigation into Jolani's murder quickly pulled up two likely suspects. 19 year old Hafiz Teskaderzhdi and 29 year old Faruk Aljia Vehab. Hafiz has been a known juvenile soldier for the Dzhemalbek clan since he was 10 years old and has been involved in numerous beating and stabbing. He was even implicated in the group assault of Gregori Sydor which would later result in Sydors death. Faruk is the son of the alleged leader of the Dzhemalbek Clan, Zlatan Hadzhi Vehab. Hafiz was quickly disqualified after video evidence surfaced of him at a hookah bar on the other side of town. Thus leaving Faruk as the main suspect.

Much like his alleged victim, Faruk led a lavish and extremely eccentric lifestyle. He's known for dating high profile women like Actress Héloïse Shearville, model Yvonne Ôrthie, and designer Ramona Uzma. He has a collection of foreign cars, wears designer suits wherever he goes, and is known to own nearly $2.2 million worth of firearms at his suburban home in Kitchikaspa. He has also been implicated in both gray market and black market activities. He has been linked to several brothels in the capital which have a quasi-legal status. One such brothel he has money in was busted for illicit activities, 28 Avlonyan nationals were recovered, believed to be trafficked to Temischa via Merala. An investigation found said women were documented in tax filings as "Cigar Holders". He has also been implicated in the cities massive ketamine business. Multiple videos of him have gone viral both in Temischa and abroad. The most famous of these videos was one in where Mr. Vehab snorts a half meter long line of Ketamine. He then starts to yell "I am God, Allah, the Buddha, and the Sun. The mother fucking worms that walk the street fear me!" He then takes two fully automatic MP3 submachine guns and fires them into the sky. In another video he is seen promoting the Dame Bleue, an infamous "All-You-Can-Fuck" brothel in the Vallée du Soleil neighborhood. He was surrounded by scantily clad women, presumedly workers at the Dame Bleue. One of the Women says "it's your house, you can do whatever you want." Vehab then says "like this." Before he slaps the woman so hard in the back of the head that she falls over onto the ground and out of frame. Vehab looks stoically into the camera as the women around him express visible shock at what just happened.

Upon the revelation that he was a suspect, journalist Marie Baptiste attempted to interview him. The exchange has gone down as a clear indicator of his mentality. He never answers her questions, instead pivots and attempts to offer her a job at the Dame Bleue, saying she'd make 10 times as much as she does working as a professional liar. When she persists with her questioning he confronts her, gets into her face, nose touching nose, and says "You're messing with the Devil." He then walks off and Baptiste does not follow up.

In the meantime, the Deghan Clan is reading from the loss of a major figure in its organization as the media circus around Vehab puts public pressure off of them. They launch an attack to attempt and capitalize on Vehabs notoriety. In December of 2009 a group of five men met at a local club, it's a known hangout of Vahabs. When his iconic Vogel pulls up the men disperse and open fire. The group fired into the vehicle only for Vehabs security to come out and begin shooting fully automatic rifle fire at the assailants. The attacks disperse and the car drives away. Astoundingly no one was hurt in the attack and Vehab himself was actually at his Penthouse in the La Colline de l'Enfer neighborhood, his security detail had simply taken the vehicle out for a ride and wanted to go to the club, luckily for them they still had their weapons inside. The next day Dzhemalbek enforcers would shoot up a front business used by the Deghan Clan. 3 people were killed, all patrons of the business.

On March 5th Vehab was arrested for 1st Degree Murder, this after evidence showed a man store security entering and exiting Jolani's apartment in line with witness testimony. Another camera in a private parking lot shows a man in the same clothing leaving and entering in a car that belongs to Vehab. In the aftermath of the arrest Zlatan Hadzhi Vehab is reported to front the nearly $1 Million in bond for his son and started a lengthy conversation with a man known simply as "Slon."

Slon at this time is an unknown figure, however a few clues can be gathered from the initial correspondence, notably that he is a member of a Bike gang in the province of Baie de St. Luke. The two have what is a very normal conversation. A few weeks later Hadzhi Vehab meets with a man at a small Kebab restaurant. Money is exchanged at one point but nothing is clear in regards to details. The man is Identified as Maxime Basquebazter by police, a known leader in the Démons Disciples Biker Gang. He has a criminal history just as long as anyone involved. He was been known to be involved in the Cocaine industry helping to move products up north and serving several stints in prison for it. He's also known for the Murder of Guy Russignol and Anton Vachon, two rival bikers. However the murders were ruled self defense and Basquebazter had not broken any firearms violation as he used a smooth bore, black powder repeating pistol, legal for felons to carry. Compared to the people he'd just met with, Basquebazter was a reserved person who didn't speak out much. However former members noted that as a leader he commanded a mix of fear and respect, saying that he had moved billions worth of drugs and his body was easily in the high double digits.

Basquebazter would disappear for some time afterwards. However his gang would see a noticeable uptick in activity in the city. As the Dzhemalbeks and Deghans retreated to allow the legal issues to work themselves out. On September 7th the gang would stalk a group of known Daghan associates near the Cour Cachée housing project. The bikers would ride up and assault them with lead pipes, break four jaws, 7 humerus, and 47 ribs in total. The next month would see what was dumb the "Frêneboise War" named after the southern city district the majority of the violence played out in. This culminated in the l'Oranger Attack. At an after party celebrating the wedding if Alamsai Yussufzadah and Ebrahim Zargari members of the Démons Disciples attacks opening fire with assault rifle on the crowd. The groom, a prolific smuggler in his own right, was killed. His wife and seven other women including a 16 year old were kidnapped in the attack. A total of 15 people were killed and near 57 injured.

The Daghan Clan, now helmed by Ajmal Saadatmandi, was finding itself in a tight space. In a series of social media direct messages Saadatmandi described that he was fearful of retaliation because he knew his ranks were flush with informants. However many of the old guard saw that the only way for them to continue operations was to retaliate and set an example. Saadatmandi rebuffed these calls. On November 3rd however a group of hooligans with association with the Deghan clan would kill Elem Alispahin, Izetbeg Hadzhibulah, and Zhjuk Dzhefari as they walked home from a convenience store. The same group would later go on to kill Ashja Tefuk and Khadija Tefuk, sisters who were sitting in a public park before they were shot dead. The most likely reason for them being targeted was their father's relationship with the Clan. In December the Démons Disciples would make one more appearance. They would attack and kidnap Saadatmandi’s son Mojtab. The kidnapping would apparently break Saadatmandi of his unwillingness to attack, nearly 13 stabbings against Dzhemalbek associates would occur in the weeks after, as would the Bus Stop Campaign of targeted assassinations, killing 7 all together. Mojtab's body would be found a month later in the St. Loïc Bay near Peupleraie. He exhibited severe signs of physical assault and torture.

The location of his murder was unknown until 2 months later. Local police in the North Western Province of Mynaughtsau impounded a tractor trailer after the driver had been arrested for Disorderly Conduct. When it arrived at the Aspiniq Town Police Center the trailer was open, inside was several layers of sound proofing, a chair with built in restraints, and what the police called "a plethora of torture devices." Blood could be found all over inside. Samples were sent off to the Federal Directorate of Investigation (DFE) for testing. The DFE would find nearly 34 unique signatures in the samples, one of them belonging to Mojtab Saadatmandi. The driver would be arrested.

The Federal Investigation would go silent afterwards, Justice Minister Élodie Fitzrichard would grant the case a seal, preventing media access to the case until it came to trial. However events on the street continue to transpire, several stabbings a day coupled with multiple assaults on rival clan factions would. These culminated in the attempted assassination of City Prosecutor Jean du Chêne. Two men dressed in business attire would walk into the high class restaurant Balthazar's and seat themselves a table away from where du Chêne was having a business dinner. They would produce illegally modified fully automatic pistols and open fire of du Chêne. A total of 100 rounds were fired in the span of 5 seconds. Du Chêne was hit multiple times but most missed his vitals, the man with him, City Alderman Raoul Côté however was killed after several shots struck him in the side of his head. The men escaped on foot. They were later identified as Salem Khostani and Fizal Ebrahim. This would finally lead to federal police conducting what was called Operation Gestionnaire Fantôme. This was the deployment of nearly 1,000 federal officers to help crackdown and reinforce local police capabilities. These also lead to the arrests of dozens of Dzhemalbek and Deghan clan members including top leadership. A separate federal arrest would target nearly 27 members of the Démons Disciples to include Maxime Basquebazter himself.

Four months later the case would be unsealed, revealing that men like Zlatan Hadzhi Vehab, Ajmal Saadatmandi, and Maxime Basquebazter were indicated on nearly three dozen charges each going from conspiracy to false imprisonment, human trafficking, and murder. Faruk Vehab was left out of these charges however. During the court case, the largest in the nation's recent history did we see why. Faruk had flipped and was fully cooperating with federal authorities. The Murder of Jolani was a coordinated affair, they had used Hafiz as a "sacrificial lamb" and had him kill Jolani in order to prevent him from. Working with authorities. However after his assassination the Daghan clan had attempted to thrown the Dzhemalbek clan under the bus and possit6itsekf as the strongest criminal group in the country. This led to a campaign of terror directly coordinated by Hadzhi Vehab, this is where Maxime Basquebazter comes in. The Démons Disciples were the largest single buyers of Dzhemalbek product, the business relation helped establish a relation that would lead to the Démons Disciples being the clans ``Death Squad". The biker gang operated a modified trailer that was used as a mobile murder room. Here they would torture and murder enemies of Hadzhi Vehab personal and then dumb their bodies hundreds of miles away throughout the rural highway systems. After a monthlong tense military buildup on the New Cambrian-Estherian Border, a tentative agreement has been made between the OCN, Estherian and New Cambrian governments. La Forge State will be demilitarized, and placed as a special administrative region for a transitional period of a year, allowing residents of La Forge to continue to work and travel between La Forge and New Cambria without interruption. The La Forge will be policed entirely by its own state police, and retain autonomy regarding its economic and social policies and have a tax-exempt status despite being legally within Estheria during this transitional period, after which a referendum overseen by OCN observers is to be organized to determine the will of the people of La Forge State regarding their inclusion within Estheria or continued residency within New Cambria.

The decision has been slammed by Conservative Pundits and came a week prior to a contentious election, with the New Cambrian Federalist Party candidate, Romain Beauregard, calling the move "Cowardly, Un-New Cambrian" and "Weak". President de Calais, who is seeking re-election in November, said "This is the only way to ensure peace between our nations, I have complete faith that the people of La Forge will make their will known to remain a part of New Cambria." Speaking to a Donvichy Press spokeperson, Beauregard said regarding the future vote in La Forge, "They'll rig the vote, you don't know what they'll do, I've heard all these things, and that's what they'll do."

Most geopolitical analysts remain on the fence regarding the decision, while most laud the de Calais governments desire for peace, they also claim that the temporary transition of power is unnecessary, and is excessive appeasement to a dangerous regime like Estheria. The Estherian government has begrudgingly accepted the compromise, although several attempts were made by the Estherian delegation to the OCN to forgo the referendum and place La Forge permanently within Estheria.

The transition to temporary Estherian ownership of La Forge will commence in two months time. New Cambrian troops have already begun to withdraw from La Forge, and Estherian troops have been also withdrawn from the border.

Romain Donnie Beauregard has been elected the 24th President of New Cambria on Friday in a stunning culmination of an explosive, populist and polarizing campaign that took aim at current New Cambrian economic, social and foreign policy, and the foundations of New Cambrian democracy for the last 150 years. The outcome came as a surprise to many, with most polls showing incumbent Ryan du Calais with a persistent edge, threatened convulsions throughout the country and the world, where skeptics had watched with alarm as Mr. Beauregard's unapologetic overtures to disillusioned voters took hold. 10/21/2020 - Zolevskoyan MoD finalizes plan to retire all Si-17s by 2025, after signing contract to procure THS-350 Krähe helicopters

The Zolevskoyan Ministry of Defense confirmed on Tuesday that a contract has been awarded to TBD MANUFACTURE to procure Vazandian THS-350 Krähe utility helicopters, as a replacement for the RZAF's aging fleet of Stasnovan Si-17s. The helicopters are expected to be used for the same purpose, however as maintenance becomes more expensive and parts become harder to source for the "Hip", the Zolevskoyan armed forces have made plans for retiring them for years.

The THS-350 is a twin-engine medium utility helicopter produced by TBD MANUFACTURE in Vazandia, developed for the requirements of their forces and those of the Kruppstadt Pact. Although technically not a member, Zolevskoy has continued to strengthen it's ties with the military alliance, despite the high risk of causing even more friction with the VSO and VP. Despite this though, Zolevskoy has remained adamant in it's commitment to standing up against both and strengthening it's relations with likeminded allies.

In the contract, it is expected for all 60 THS-350s to be delivered and entered into service between 2023-2024, with all Si-17s either being sold or scrapped. The total cost of the program is expected to be approximately ~70 million Delas.

The People's Assembly, Politburo and State Council have convened an emergency convention to elect a new General Secretary, the expected candidates for General Secretary are currently Tucker Daley, the President of the People's Assembly, Phillipe Larand, the Premier of the State Council and Helena Freeman, the Secretary of the Politburo. We at the People's Times offer our hopes and faith in the future General Secretary, and wish he or she luck in these trying times.

The death of the General Secretary could not have occurred at a worse time, Estheria-New Cambrian relations have been trying, and once fascist Hardliner and Estherian traitor Romain Beauregard assumes office on November 18, the Politburo fears that the Beauregard administration may launch an assault against the faithful Estherian citizens in La Forge. The international community was surprised today by news that the Kingdom of Trang likely detonated a nuclear weapon underground as part of a weapons test. After seismic sensors across southern Auchoi were triggered earlier today, a deep sea earthquake was the first suspected culprit before reliable intelligence sources from Nha Trang claimed that the event was more inline with an underground atomic test. Experts on the matter from Vazandia have since confirmed that they suspect the same based on the data shared with them by Nha Trang.

While Trang has been an extremely controversial nation in recent years, their increasingly unstable economic situation and isolationist policies had led to most analysts of the region dismissing the occasional rumors of a WMD program as silly paranoia. King Nguyễn Thành Phong, known for his often racist and religiously extreme rhetoric, has recently stated that both Saegya and Nha Trang are "blights upon the world," and, "clear obstacles to peace for the holy people of Trang," but has never directly hinted at the use of military force in dealing with them.

It remains to be seen what will be done by the OCN about the situation, though with the Vastava Pact and Entente both having allies in the region, and with Vazandia having strong ties to its former colony in Nha Trang, the test is sure to draw international attention.

President Yulchek this week has greeted the Elections of Both Romain Beauregard and Tucker Daley. His address to both transitions have emphasized cooperation and community.

"I hope we can now look towards a brighter future, where men can see one another as who they are, honorable and respectable humans. I hope we can come to an understanding, so that Antigonia may become a beacon of peace and global prosperity." The President said when congratulating Daley on his election to General Secretary. However behind closed doors he has been taking on whirlwind talks with his government.

According to Pierre Adamsen of ProPublique Yulchek met with Executive Secretariat Métezeau. Where he asked if she would agree to bring forward an emergency appropriation bill to increase military spending by 17% over the next 48 months. Yulchek himself met with Chief of the General Staff Gen. de Schiavone. Reportedly to discuss moving units to military installations like Fort Auclair, Joint Base Plamondon, and Fort Levean. Polling done by the Everett-Cheo Policy Guidance Center indicated that roughly 2/3rds of respondents had "Mostly or wholly Negative Opinions'' of both Beauregard and Daley. Nearly 47% said that the Yulchek congratulations were "Inappropriate/a bad decision." And 76% say that if war were to break out, Temischa should not get involved.

Professor of Antigonian Studies and former Under Secretary of Foreign Affairs Jachym Drozd spoke to us on the matter of Eastern Antigonia.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a harsh rebuke to the Kingdom of Trang and the UPRG for "threatening the balance of security in Auchoi".

Chilokveri Foreign Minister Ian Whiteway condemned the two nations today over recent escalations sparked by a suspected test of a nuclear device by Trang 2 days prior. The test, so far the first and only indication of a successful Trangese nuclear program, caught military intelligence personnel by surprise given the kingdom's isolationism and was in fact originally believed to be an earthquake before radioisotope analysis confirmed the test as being nuclear in origin. While bilateral talks between Chilokver and Trang regarding a possible nuclear technology transfer and economic deal were held in the mid 90s, no agreement allowing Trang to purchase uranium from Chilokver was ever signed prior to King Nguyễn Thành Phong's effective abandonment of international relations in the 2000s. It therefore remains unknown how Trang was able to acquire the fissile material and knowledge necessary to construct a nuclear weapon.

In his statement, Whiteway called for the measures mandated by and enforcement of the OCN's Non-Proliferation Treaty to be reviewed, citing the test as "Evidence of inadequacies within the NPT..." as well as for Trang to immediately cease its nuclear program and open its borders to international inspection or "...face the consequences his [King Nguyễn Thành Phong] actions have brought upon Trang from the international community." It is expected that the National Congress will shortly draft and pass a bill condemning and sanctioning the Kingdom of Trang for the test.

The Foreign Minister also pointed at the Gorbatovic state as a responsible party in the sudden rise of tensions on Auchoi. "It can only be hoped that Premier Voroshilov understands the dangerous nature of Gorbatov's expression of support for Saegya. The increase in military presence, and in particular the stationing of Gorbatovic nuclear weapons in Saegya, does nothing to stabilise the situation. Instead, such a move will only exacerbate already tense relations between Saegya and Trang, and indeed between Saegya and Chilokver as well", Whiteway said. Saegya and Chilokver have enjoyed a historically chilly relationship dating back to the start of the 20th century when Saegya annexed the Manshu Islands from Hulie; a territorial contention which persists to this day.

"Chilokver stands ready to cooperate in all efforts against Trang and its WMD program should Gorbatov and the Vastava Pact seek to put out rather than fan the flames of this nuclear bonfire."

Granzerian vezér István Árpád has made the first official statement of the Granzerian government regarding the rapidly deteriorating situation on East Auchoi. Granzery has remained one of the few arms suppliers continuing to provide trade and military deals to the reclusive nation. Árpád made the following statement following the alleged nuclear test performed by Trang:

The news regarding Trang is very concerning. The Granzerian state is entirely devoted to the continuation of the nuclear non-proliferation agreement. Trang has had a tragic history, suffering greatly under the yoke of Vazandian colonialism, a wound it still cradles to this day. Granzery remains steadfast in continuing to facilitate the healing of Trang, until the day they are able to rejoin the international community. The Granzerian military-industrial complex has briefly suspended arms deals to Trang for the time being, in order to ensure that none of the materiel within can be used to assist with the nations Nuclear program. In regard to the criticism that Trang has faced, Árpád said the following;

Anonymous sources within the Senate report that the Granzerian government is looking to wash its hands of the Trangese issue, and sees the ongoing crises as a way to reduce or completely eliminate support for the recluse nation which has only sunk deeper into its own isolation.

11/06/2020 - Ausferiland Pleas For Increased VSO Assistance as Civil War Reaches Stalemate

In the midst of the civil war in Ausferiland, president Petko Alexander has pleaded to the VSO for more assistance as the Ausferiland National Defense Forces struggle to break the month-long stalemate. Despite this though, rebels of the self-proclaimed Republic of South Kardzhali continue to consolidate the territory gained ever since fighting broke out in August, with the support of Zolevskoy. Although the VSO has voiced support for the Ausferilandian government, actual assistance has been somewhat limited. Zolevskoy has also been accused of arming and funding forces of South Kardzhali, although the government has not made any comments on whether or not this is true.

Zolevskoy, which has been highly critical of the Ausferilandian government's treatment of ethnic minorities, has not backed down from voicing support for anti-government forces, citing that the rebellion was "inevitable in the face of persecution against ethnic Zolevskoyans". Although Zolevskoyan-made weapons have been seen in use by forces of the Unified Armed Forces of South Kardzhali (UFSK), Nedyalko Valov and his government have repeatedly neither confirmed nor denied this. Some also allege that the Zolevskoyan military may be involved in assisting rebel forces. However, a Zolevskoyan intervention in the war would make sense. With president Valov doubling down on his anti-VSO stance, destabilizing one of their allies who borders Zolevskoy could deal a blow to their influence in the region. Some have also suggested that Ausferiland's desire for increased cooperation with the Veragyor Security Organization have lead Valov to take an increasingly hawkish stance on the situation.

Despite this though, the government of Zolevskoy has remained adamant in their demands for Petko Alexander to respect the rights of ethnic minorities in the country, especially Zolevskoyans. President Valov has also warned that any spillover into Zolevskoy proper would result in an increased intervention in the region. Some speculate that this may include, but not be limited to, military intervention.

THE GRANZERY OBSERVER
As Granzerian provisional Senate Elections near, political fever grips the nation.
Republican Socialists have gained alot of popularity, particularly in the west of the nation, while Renaissance strongholds in eastern Granzery continue to hold firm.

The Granzerian Senate election, which was originally slated to occur on July 18, 2020, has been delayed due to internal issues within the nation including the disbanding of the Granzerian Republican Moderates and the Tennish Civil War. Vezér Árpád announced three weeks ago that the Granzerian Senate elections would resume as normal on the 25th of November, 2020. Causing a last-minute scramble for the campaigns of the four eligible parties, including the Granzerian Renaissance Party, the Republican Socialists, the National Liberals and the Royalist Party. Violetta Lakatos, the Prime Ministerial challenger to incumbent Szabolcs Černý, has campaigned across the hotly contested regions of Nagykert and Greater Veragyor, which are expected to decide the election.

Although the Republican Socialists as of the 8th of November 2020 only hold 16% of the seats in the National Senate, the party has seen a meteoric rise of support in the polls across Bastarny and Straknia, and are expected to present a legitimate challenge to the Renaissance Party. Mrs. Lakatos has campaigned on an anti-war platform, which has been described by some observers as even being an Anti-VSO platform, being highly critical of allied nations in Elesar, Nekhteta and Oskorev. The National Liberal party are also expected to see a jump in performance from their 2015 results, after the dismissal of the Republican Moderates which left a large chunk of Republican voters moving to support the National Liberals.

Prime Minister Černý stated he was "Not concerned" and said that "The Granzerian voters will know what is best for Granzery, and I have complete faith that they will re-elect the party that holds their best interests at heart, the Granzerian Renaissance Party."

The situation in Ausferiland has also been an issue of contention, with Vezér Árpád refusing to comment on the situation, while Republican Socialist frontrunner Lakatos stating that: "Ausferiland has engaged in reprehensible actions in their treatment of the South Khardzali region, while we at the Republican Socialists support the independence of Ausferiland and it's territorial integrity, any peaceful solution must take into account the wants and needs of any minority groups in the country."

Černý took perhaps the opposite position, his official statement was: "The Ausferilandian people and government have every right to decide what best national solutions work for them, the Granzerian government has no right to dictate to Ausferiland how it should or should not treat the citizens that it represents."

Current pollsters predict that the Granzerian Renaissance will win the presidency with about 45% of the vote, relying on a coalition with the Royalist Party to form a government. The Republican socialists right now are expected to win between 35 and 40% of the population. Right now it seems unlikely that the Republican Socialists and National Liberals will be able to come to any kind of coalition, allowing the Renaissance Party to most likely remain in power in the Senate for 2021.

Violetta Lakatos surges ahead in polls while National Liberals falter.
Amid ongoing Liberal controversy, the Republican Socialists have surged ahead in popularity as many former Liberal supporters show their support.

2019 and 2020 have been incredibly politically challenging times for the Moderate Party and its successor party, the National Liberals, widespread convictions of corruption and collusion plagued the Moderate party which was once a party large enough to threaten the ruling Renaissance party. The formation of the National Liberals was hoped to court former Moderate supporters, and provide honest competition to Renaissance, although the National Liberal party remained marred by negative press and stigma, culminating in an allegation of sexual misconduct against its pick for Deputy Prime Minister, forcing the then governor of Tarjánerőd to resign from parliament in disgrace.

Moderate supporters, disillusioned with the National Liberal party, and seeking a political party to challenge the ever increasing power of the Renaissance Party, have been successfully courted by the Republican Socialist party, who have promised greater transparency in the government and dismantling of many of the governmental departments which have been created by István Árpád and his Renaissance party. Right now the Renaissance party has maintained a healthy lead above the Republican Socialists, however Vezér István Árpád said that he had "concerns" about the Granzerian political sphere devolving into a two-party state. The Vezér said "Granzery is a multi-party democracy, to see the Republicans overthrow the Liberals is somewhat concerning as to the future of our democracy. However, it is understandable that Granzerian voters would like to distance themselves from the Liberal party after the rampant corruption uncovered in the party and its predecessor party."

Republican Socialist Prime Minister pick Violetta Lakatos went on the most popular morning show in the country today to discuss the coming election. She said she and her team were "hopeful" for the election, and said that "The polling has been looking very good for the Republican Socialists, and I think that just goes to show that our message is really resonating with Granzerian voters who feel disenfranchised and disaffected by the current Granzerian political system, I hope that the honourable Vezér and Renaissance Party will maintain the integrity of this election and prove that they are in fact in favour of continuing democracy in Granzery and not just turning our wonderful country into a dictatorship."

Mrs. Lakatos continued to speak on her parties policy positions, "The re-coronation of the Granzerian royal family, which has held no power or influence in this country since the 19th Century was a very questionable policy of the Renaissance Party, it has resulted in increased government spending to support the already obscenely wealthy Granzerian royal family, most of whom were born in Acronia, and some of whom do not even speak Granzerian. How the royal family is a point of pride for Granzery is lost to me, and I believe it is lost on many of the Granzerian voters too, we should be spending that money instead of propping up Acronian nobles and instead it should be used to support our own poor citizens. Another source of needless government spending is on the constant foreign wars that the Granzerian Renaissance party continues to embroil ourselves in, wasting Granzerian money and more importantly, Granzerian lives, on propping up foreign regimes. Furthermore, we intend to make the ÁEB free for all Granzerians, and support the growth of Granzerian industry by making a commitment to renewable energy, which is quickly becoming the most competitive and efficient form of energy production we have available."

11/12/2020 - President Valov reasserts commitment to to Ausfer-Zolevskoyans despite Ausferilandian backlash

President Valov reasserted his commitment to supporting the Zolevskoyan minority in Ausferiland and the South Kardzhali prot-state today, stating that any threats to the existence of Zolevskoy and it's people will result in a "decisive and overwhelming" response. These comments come at the same time as he confirmed that an additional 20,000 troops of the Republic of Zolevskoy Armed Forces will be deployed to the border region, including several batteries of PPSD-20 SAMs and cruise missile launchers. Speaking to reporters outside the Montazh though, Zolevskoyan defense minister Teodor Cherganski used less fiery language, saying only that Zolevskoy was capable of defending against any Ausferilandian threats, and that it's commitments to protecting the Zolevskoyans of Ausferiland were "set in stone".

"Ausferiland has committed themselves to threatening our people within and outside of their borders time and time again. Any threats against us allies will be met with a disproportionate response, both decisive and overwhelming." President Valov stated.

However, he also stated that ultimately, he wishes to end the civil war in Ausferiland peacefully, and that Zolevskoyan military deployments are to ensure that the thread of spillovers can be dealt with quicker.

Meanwhile, VSO and allies have continued to back the Ausferilandian government. Granzerian prime minister Szabolcs Černý has seemingly brushed off Ausferilandian discrimination against ethnic minorities, stating that "the Ausferilandian people and government have every right to decide what best national solutions work for them, the Granzerian government has no right to dictate to Ausferiland how it should or should not treat the citizens that it represents." Granzery has maintained a military presence in the country to train and advise Ausferilandian armed forces, much to the dismay of the Zolevskoyan government. Nonetheless, many fear that any further escalations could sweep away any hope of a peaceful resolution to the civil war which has already claimed over 90,000 lives; most of which are civilians.
