Because Jakker and CrushingOurEnemies had their nations banned when the first attempt failed

Had the first attempt gone without the game bugging, you would have actually seen me in the delegacy. Not Jakker or COE. Slightly sad I didn't get to be in the delegacy seat with Draculi, as a huge fan of the supernatural genre could have themed my nation on a different vampire character every day the op was going on :p

Back to Rai's vote tho -- geez what a close vote. Don't think I've ever seen a vote have so much back and forth before with the vote count o.o

Yeah, haven’t seen one that close for a while. Or one with so many switches in the lead.

Anyway congratulations to both.

To back that up, I checked through every SC resolution and I found that if the trend continues, this will be the closest resolution ever (that passed) besides two: SC resolution 14: Liberate Free Thought, passed in 2010.

And:

SC Resolution 107: Condemn Hippostania, passed in 2013.

In other words, VERY CLOSE.

The margin was 50.3. That beats the above 2, making it THE CLOSEST SC RESOLUTION EVER PASSED!

The original "Commend Glen-Rhodes" failed by just two votes.

Commend Glen Rhodes failed. I’m pretty sure LX was only talking about passed resolutions, so they’re right, unless I’m missing something that isn’t Commend Glen Rhodes.

For the future NS historian.

There was a lot of back and forth but by the last two hours, against was winning by 150-200 votes.

The delegate of TRR "A Leaf in the Wind", with over 200 endos then finally voted to the Against side, allowing Against to have a lead of <100 votes.

At this point it seemed every large delegate and voter has voted, but with just over a hour remaining, the delegate of Nationstates 'Mikeswill' decided to flip his 50 votes from Against to For, allowing For to take the lead and the Condemn to pass.

Mike generally votes Against for every SC resolution and was doing so for most of this vote too, so switching sides at the last moment was bit of a surprise.

Some would say he is raider leaning, others would say he just couldn't resist being the king making vote flipper but here we are.

I would note that the delegate of Europe, Imperium Anglorum with his 350+ endo did not (as always) vote on the SC resolution.

Nineteen, for the record (7,025 votes for to 7,044 against at the time Sarah/A Leaf on the Wind cast her vote).

IA has voted on SC resolutions in the past so as always is inaccurate. I don't observe his voting enough to note the frequency with which he votes however.

TRR delegate voted against putting it down a little bit, but some last minute votes brought it to tied. The WAD of India then flipped to against, putting it down by a couple dozen, after that mike flipped to for, bring it back up to a passing margin. Delegate of India flipping was almost the deciding vote after TRRs vote brought it to a tie.

What do you think of getting a shiny condemn badge that passed in a very slim margin?
