Social Class: Working Class
Titles: Comrade General of the Antelope Self Defense Union and General Secretary of the Antelope International Workers Union
Occupation: Coal Miner, formerly a member of the Antelope Home Guard.
Hobbies/Pastimes: Hunting, having cookouts with his neighbors, and fishing.
Talents/Skills: Johnny has been trained in the basics of firearms and small unit tactics, thanks to his time in the Home Guard. Thanks to skirmishes between the ASDU and AHG Johnny has been able to expand his strategies and prepare for the worst possible situations. His connections with some rebellious Ra’Shide and young officers in the Home Guard had led to John being able to retrieve some less than legal weapons incase of an Authority attack on the strikes.
Religious Beliefs: Agnostic
Personality: Johnny has been described as a kind hearted and honest sweet talker, Johnny is known for his inability to lie to others, always telling the truth no matter the situation. John manages to keep his cool and even the most stressful of situations and is known for coming up with quick solutions for problems.
Biography: Born 25 years ago on the mining world of Antelope, John Clarence Russel or Johnny for short was born on the planet capital of Woodsboro, the city was home to large steel factories and munitions factories which most of the populus worked in. Johnny’s father worked in the local garrison, the Antelope Home Guard while his mama worked in one of the many munitions factories, Johnny was lucky enough to go to a pretty decent school compared to most of the other children in his neighborhood thanks to his father’s status in the Home Guard. As the years went by the family’s situation improved with each promotion his father made, eventually his father got to the rank of captain, which thanks to the pay grade, allowed them to move to a nice home right outside of town, but things changed shortly after. At the age of 10 Johnny lost his mother, his mother was a member of a local union that had recently gone on strike, after a few days the strike turned violent and the local garrison of Home Guard was called in to deal with the workers. The fighting was brutal with workers and soldiers getting critically injured or killed, but one case affected Johnny more than any other. During the fighting his father and mother were both involved, during the fighting his mother was shot while trying to help some fellow workers flee the scene but the man who shot her wasn’t just a random soldier it was her husband, who until hours after the fighting realized who he had killed that day

Johnny and his father began to split apart after the death of his mother, Mr. Russel began a habitat of heavy drinking while Johnny started sneaking out of the house and began hunting small animals. After six years Johnny decided to move into the city with his grandfather instead of continuing to live with his drunkard father, when he moved into the city he decided to enlist in the Home Guard. Johnny was shipped off to a Ra’Shide conservation, there he got to know the culture of the group and their history, as he talked to more and more of they Ra’Shide he began to understand the troubles they faced the more distaste he grew for the Authority and the Imperium as a whole. After serving for four years until the age of twenty, Johnny decided to quit working in the Home Guard and went to work in a coal mine near Woodsboro. After a few years of work Johnny decided to run for the leadership of his local union and managed to win the election, after that he began to get into contact with other unions across the entire colony and called for the formation of a one big union and so after many weeks of discussion and debate the Antelope International Workers Union was formed and involved all types of workers and jobs. After the formation of the AIWU, the Authority decided to slash the wages of any workers that were a part of the AIWU this resulted in a meeting of the Workers Council, which after a few debates resulted in a unanimous vote for a General Strike. As the preparations were made, Johnny began to set up what was needed for this general strike to succeed, firstly he began the organization of the Antelope Self-Defense Union which beforehand was a poorly organized militia was organized into an effective deterrent force in case the Home Guard had tried to violently stop the strike, secondly he got into contact with Ra’Shide chieftains and young Reformist officers in the Home Guard both parties agreed to assist the general strike for their own reasons.

Three months after the General Strike vote was passed it was declared that the AIWU would launch the strike, across Antelope workers stopped working and alongside local ASDU militia seized their workplaces, at Ra’Shide reservations warriors and tribes kicked out their Home Guard watchmen, and the entirety of the Woodsboro garrison had declared a mutiny until the demands of the AIWU were fulfilled. The AIWU now holds several reservations, smaller coal towns, and the capital Greensboro, now the cocky General Ivan Yazov prepares to handle the strike without Imperial assistance trying to show his might and the local navy sits by and waits, whatever the result of the Antelope General Strike it will affect the Authority for the rest of its days.

If Great House or a leader of a Faction like a SAS, Colony, Et Cetera
Name of Territory: The Antelope Authority and The Antelope International Workers Union
Government: The AA is run by a council of local garrison officers and is headed by General Ivan Yazov, while his opposition, the AIWU is led by young revolutionary General John C. Russel. The AIWU is led by a workers council elected by popular vote by union members, then the members of the council vote out of two of them for the position of General Secretary.
Capital World: Antelope, A world in the Eastern Frontier of the Empire.
Population: 750 Million-600 Million Humans/augmented humans and 150 million Ra’Shide.
The Ra’Shide: The Ra’Shide are the native population of Antelope, the species can be described as an insectoid-humanoid species that are extremely traditionalist, the average Ra’Shide is 7-9 feet tall, all Ra’Shide are asexual and reproduce as so but the species reproduces at a small rate which has resulted in a low population increase rates. The species has a thick exoskeleton able to absorb low and medium caliber ballistic rounds of ammunition and even some laser fire, they are also known for being 10x stronger than the average human which allows them to do jobs that would normally require several men to only need one Ra’Shide . The species was found during the colonization of Antelope in the 23rd Century, the colonizers encountered the Ra’Shide, who at the time were still a tribal society, on the Eastern side of the planets on and only supercontinent. The Ra’Shide decided to launch an attack on the colonizers, believing that they were demons sent to punish them for their misdeeds. The Antelope war lasted a long 10 years and killed 3,000,000 million Ra'Shide and 1,650,000 colonizers, what was left of the Ra’Shide leadership decided to accept their defeat and pledged their loyalty to the Imperium. Since then there have been laws passed that have made the Ra’Shide second class citizens in compensation for the war, they are tasked with the most tiring jobs and receive the lowest pay in the entire Authority. Those that don’t live in cities live under the control of tribal chieftains in designated reservations for the Ra’Shide, most of the tribes are still waiting for a chance to free themselves from the Authority. The average Ra’Shide warrior owns a traditional sword of spear and a home crafted three shot rifle, but in some parts of Antelope the rifles of the Ra’Shide are outlawed.

Economy: The economy of the AA is heavily based on the coal, oil, and steel industries of Antelope and the gem mining operations on the barren worlds within the control of the Authority. The AA also is known for forcinging the native Xeno populace to operate on the more “Dangerous” jobs on the planet.
Culture:The culture of the AA is similar to that of Midwestern America, with a large amount of the population being involved in mining work and steel work. On the other hand there is the Ra’Shide population whose religion and culture focus on the preservation of nature and the warrior spirit, this had caused conflicts between them and corporation owners and military officials.
Social Structure: General Ivan Yazov>Military Council>Business owners and Landlords>Mayors and local politicians>Ra’Shide Chieftains>Average Human citizen>Average Ra’Shide resident.
Territorial Size: Antelope (Continental world about the size of Earth but with only one large continent), Elk (Smaller mining world with about 10 million residents), Wraith (Barren world used as a mining outpost for corporations)
Military and Security Forces: Antelope Authority:
Antelope Home Guard: 2,500,000(15% is in Mutiny, in solidarity with the General strike)
The Antelope Guardian Navy: 2,200 men (8 destroyers and a few fighters, the Navy is currently indecisive in the General Strike Crisis)

The Antelope International Workers Union:
The Antelope Self-Defense Union: 1,800,000 (Mostly civilian equipped militias, some groups have military grade weaponry.)
The Ra’Shide United Tribal Coalition: 1,000,000 Ra’Shide Warriors (Equipped with traditional blades and rifles.)

An unloaded bolt-action is provided to 50% of all soldiers.

The other 50% get the ammunition for when the man with the gun drops during the charge.

That's generous since from the last time I remembered, soldiers were just given rocks.

Name: Sh'ur
Nickname: (If applicable)
Age: 28
Birth Date: April 12
Gender: Male
Planet of Origin: Grex Prime
Race/Species: Grex (Large, dangerous, Bi-Pedal Saurian Xenos, similar to the Pre-historic Terran Allosaurus and T-Rex, females can lay up to 5 eggs at a time)
Height: 6'5
Weight: 300
Physical Description or Image: For a inspirational reference
Image

Social Class: Lower Class
Titles: None, thought he is leader of a small Grex independence cell
Occupation: Was an Xenos auxiliary in the Imperial Army before returning to his homeworld
Hobbies/Pastimes: Katar(a game where two teams of Grex chase a herd animal, the winning team gaining the animal for feast), Martial Arts, Politics
Talents/Skills: Knows Imperial Standard and Grexian languages, all around trained in basic ranged and melee combat, has good interpersonal communication skills.
Religious Beliefs: Call of Thrake(A monotheist religion worshiping the future birth of the Grex god, it is said that when the Grex race has achieved their final victory, Thrake, a powerful and great Grex, will be spawned into the universe. Every good deed that brings honor and strength to the Grex people creates another crack in the egg. The religion is tailored around Strength, Honor and Sacrifice)
Personality: Calm and Collected and even hesitant at times, but when Sh'ur decides on a move he is totally dedicated to it. He is an introvert but will not shy from contact if it seeks himself out. He has a personal vendetta against the Terrans who claim his home world, but understands that might makes whos left. The Terrans imposed birth control upon the Grex race to slow their reproduction rate, this is a very sore subject for Sh'ur.
Biography: Sh'ur grew up on his homeworld like any other Grex. Like most Grex he was one of many nestlings born, around three in his hatch. His mother took care of them until they reached early adult hood before they were all sent seperate ways. His brother Xank became a bodyguard and his sister a miner. He was drafted into the Imperial Army Xenos Auxiliary forces and thankfully had a easy service before heading back home.

If Great House or a leader of a Faction like a SAS, Colony, Et Cetera
Name of Territory: Grex System
Government: Imperial Governorate
Capital World: Grex Prime
Population: 4 billion
Economy: Mixed, Grex Prime is still rather rural for a Imperial world, though it does have two large urban areas closer to the poles where it is a bit cooler for Terrans, leaving the center band much more heavily populated with Grex. Exotic meats and plants are harvested from Grex Prime to be given over to Terran nobles and businessmen. Mining operations are also present, providing ore to the few factories the Terrans established. A large planetside starport and open air Market exists which is the prized attraction of the world aside from some of the oasis terran home retreats present.
Culture: Call of Thrake and a proud marshal tradition has created a honorable warrior culture, strength or cunning is prized and bravery is one of the utmost cultural norms. This has led the Imperium to draft Grex into military service as shock troops or auxillarys, as well as bodguards for royalty and other upper class Terrans.
Social Structure: Hierarchy where the largest and strongest males or females hold leadership roles, contests can be decided through battle or other agreed means. As a Grex ages he is expected to rely on his mind over his body. This is still an honorable way of living, as it is believed that aging is giving ones body to Thrake and in exchange the mind is opened.
Territorial Size: Semi-Arid Death World( Mesas, rivers and small Jungles and Forests dot the landscape, these are home to a variety of dangerous animals competing for water and other needs. Giant poisous insects, Swarming stinging Locusts and dangerous hordes of Bat-like beasts roam the landscape. Many of these dangers burrow underground or ambush victims.)
Military and Security Forces: An Imperial Garrison is stationed on the planet, to maintain control and to prevent rebellion.

The Melodons would probably want to focus on forging relations with tribal leaders and the khan especially. The current Khan (app incoming) would be a good mark, as he's primarily driven by self interest and self indulgence. Bribes, gifts, and flattery would go a long way to getting the House favorable trading arrangements. Could have the House primarily work with local slavers, or even get permission from the khan to directly enslave those that oppose him.

Aight, that sounds good. I'm sure we can build on this in IC

Imperialisium, Calaath is missing from the map, could it be added? It's located little more towards the galactic center from Polaris

I think it's not so much Calaath missing and more only OP/canon planets being on there.

It's a mixed bag. It has some advantages, but I think overall it's more useful for regions than RPs.

I got bored, so I wrote up some blurbs about the major naval engagements Joachim has been in/commanded over the last fifty or so years, in chronological order. People are welcome to use these for lore or flavor if they want. I know we have a fair amount of Navy players so those characters could have been present as well, potentially with major roles. If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to add more.

Eydhan IV, 25,654 IC: One of the later battles of the lengthy Poniatowski revolt, and the first engagement that Varyon fought with a Rear Admiral rank. Under the command of Admiral Mirza Gallegos, the Imperial sector fleet launched a direct assault on the rebel fleet in orbit over Eydhan IV. The Poniatowskis had six carriers to the loyalists' three, and used these to cut up the attack and disperse the imperial battleships. Varyon's squadron of battlecruisers and destroyers was being held in reserve; when Gallegos refused to call him up, Varyon acted himself and threw all thirteen of his small ships at the rebel carrier flagship Lefkada when it was engaged with a battleship. At the cost of six ships, Varyon's squadron destroyed it. Imperial ships regrouped and began rolling up the rebel fleet along the left flank, eventually destroying over a third of it. The victory of Eydhan IV allowed the imperials to retake the system and continue their momentum in the campaign. For his actions, Varyon was promoted to Vice-Admiral and awarded a Navy Cross.

Korshaufen, 25,655 IC: During the siege of the Poniatowski homeworld, Varyon was given a flotilla and tasked with preventing the rebel remnants from fleeing. True to expectations, they did: Duke Janusz Poniatowski ran the blockade with his family and nearly seventy warships. Varyon used, and largely sacrificed, his battleships to draw the rebels into an asteroid field, where his smaller ships outmaneuvered and ran circles around larger ships that would usually outgun them. Varyon and the Duke Poniatowski battled it out for seven hours before imperial reinforcements arrived and numbers began to tell. The rebels were annihilated to the last ship, ending the most damaging rebellion in centuries for good.

Bleska, 25,660 IC: Varyon's fleet was deployed to the Galactic far North to help pacify an entire sector that had fallen to Evangelical fanatics. He chose the bleak and uninhabited Bleska System as a prime spot to jump into the warzone. However, on coming out of the jump he ran right into a full-strength Evangelical fleet in-transit, who were just as surprised to see him. Varyon attempted a full frontal assault, which failed badly. He managed to regroup his flotillas and concentrated three of them on the right flank, making that a strong point but leaving the center and left weaker. His line very nearly collapsed under the Evangelical counter-attack, but at the crucial moment, the right flank turned and rolled the enemy line in a fashion similar to Eydhan IV, but on a much larger scale. The rebels lost their formation and were routed.

Vanholt, 25,662 IC: Grand Admiral Johannes Swain, a man with pretensions of warlordism, revolted with his entire Armada in the sector around Raithon Prime and took the crucial system. Varyon met the larger part of his force in the adjacent Vanholt system. Varyon, slightly outnumbered, expected an attack but did not get one. When he launched an assault, Swain sacrificed large numbers of ships in order to destroy all of the loyalist carriers, destroying Varyon's fighter capacity. The rebel fighters, now unrestrained, cut many of the loyalist light ships to bloody ribbons. After ten hours, Varyon was able to stage a rearguard action and evacuate the remnants of his fleet in fair order, though over half of it had been annihilated, costing the lives of a million or more men. It remains the worst defeat of his career.

Kherrata-St. Cyr, 25,665 IC: The lengthiest campaign of Varyon's mid-career was against the Cygnus State, a Terranist-dominated separatist state with a degree of backing high up in the Imperial government. Varyon launched a two-pronged attack on the Kherrata and St. Cyr systems, with a subordinate commanding the latter prong. He encountered the greater part of the Cygnus fleet in Kherrata and was beaten, but withdrew in good order to St. Cyr, where he united his forces and defeated the smaller enemy fleet. He then turned to face the pursuing Terranists, who outnumbered him almost 2:1, and soundly beat them. The Imperials went on to liberate Angelus V and crush the revolt. Kherrata-St. Cyr arguably remains Varyon's most impressive triumph; certainly it is his most famous and most studied. It is controversial for having been won against Terranists, whose philosophy remains quite popular in some human regions of space. It also may be the largest naval engagement of the last three or four centuries, involving tens of thousands of warships and over forty million sailors.

M'likis, 25,672 IC: Sent by the Senate to confront the insectoid Uuvrid, a rebellious xeno species in the Galactic West, Varyon pulled off a surprise attack in the M'likis system. He danced around the edges of Uuvrid space for weeks before sending a single flotilla in a feint to the Uuvrid home system to threaten their queen, which drew in the xeno fleets like flies to honey. His way now clear, Varyon followed them to M'likis and soundly thrashed the bugs in orbit of their homeworld, returning them to the Imperial sphere.

Siege of Salonica, 25,679 IC: The decisive engagement of the largest workers' uprising in a century. A few parsecs from Canopus. Varyon destroyed the main revolutionary fleet in orbit of Salonica. When the planet refused to surrender, Varyon ordered it bombarded with heavy orbital weapons for a staggering ninety-six hours, killing as many as fifty million people in the process. Suffice to say, the survivors surrendered. Salonica remains a major black mark on the Grand Admiral's reputation.

Nas Drazhan, 25,684 IC (25 years ago): After particularly large Kai'Mir raiding parties wrecked havoc on adjacent human worlds, Varyon was tapped to discipline the offending tribes. His fleet met the raider coalition in the Nas Drazhan System, just inside the borders of the Khanate. Though he outnumbered the Kai'Mir slightly, they proved to be perhaps the toughest individual opponents that the Grand Admiral had ever faced, more than making up in ferocity and daring what they may have lacked in technology or organization. The fighting raged across the system for several days, taking a heavy toll on both fleets. Varyon's flagship Kitsune was itself badly damaged. After 72 hours, Varyon withdrew his fleet from the Khanate, leaving the rogue Kai'Mir the field and a technical victory. He had, however, managed to kill off more than two-thirds of the raider fleet. Thereafter, the bloody raids halted and the border stabilized for a time.

Kimambi, 25,690 IC (19 years ago): Varyon faced down the most recent threat to his power in the South Sagittarius Governorate when the powerful House of Palafox revolted against his rule. Meeting the Palafox fleet in the Kimambi System, just a few light-years from his capital at Sagittar Prime, the Grand Admiral drew the rebels in by launching an apparently disorganized attack followed by a false retreat. Thinking they had routed the imperials, the rebels gave chase, only for Varyon's ships to turn and fight, bolstered by his reserve flotillas. The resulting combat annihilated Palafox naval strength in less than three hours, at relatively mild cost to the imperials.

Chimoio, 25,702 IC (7 years ago): In which the Grand Admiral faced down another mutinous Armada which threatened Sayshelle. The battle remained in doubt for some time until Varyon threw every carrier he had against the rebel left, causing his right to nearly buckle but breaking up the enemy formation. The rebel capital ships were scattered, allowing Varyon's armada to pick them off piecemeal. When the rebellious admiral's flagship was destroyed, the remaining captains under his command surrendered.

Considering his career has largely been dedicated to fighting rebels, I imagine Leon would have been involved in some capacity in at least one of these engagements.

Probably the Kimambi Operation, quelling that rebellion when Jac was still a young man who would've been on the frontlines
