"I missed you too. I know it's tough for us nobility to always get away to do what we want so it's always a pleasant surprise you come all the way to see me. Of course how could I forget you, Aldhiyb." She kissed his furry head and stroked his fur "I missed you too!"

Kino

"Song and dance, horses, the sea. A real cultural blend if I ever saw one! We're quite fond of music and dance too, granted it doesn't carry to well overseas because superstition says it's taboo to do so on the sea. But believe me, we're just as jovial as anyone is."

Port Aya

"Wow maybe we can! I'll talk with mama. Maybe you can talk to her too! I'd really like to go somewhere and see something new. And Sunna really does sound nice and cute and fun to be with that I'd like to meet her."

And as she wondered, their waitress came back to see to them "Well how are we all doing? Would you all like something? Kaori maybe you would like some tea?"

"Please? You know I really like green tea."

"You got it. Maybe tea all around."

Aurora - the Kitan

"Very good then, I'll reduce your overall fee for the inconvenience. And we do have one bath open up right now that I can get you in or reserved if you like."

Princess Aurelia bint-Damir.
Port Aurora.

Aldhiyb was happy to be petted, to be scratched, to see Marcella again as well.
He was a good lad.
He gave a short bark as if to say: "Ah missed ya, too, Mistress Number Two!"
Of course, I had no idea, if he really meant that, but I would bet. He was overjoyed to see her, especially about the kiss.
"This year, I could hardly be stopped...", I said and grinned, "Not even by safety concerns. Dad and Yasmin are here, too, together with the Aurelia."
It was a bit weird to refer to a ship named after me by its name...

Aonas Folracht of the Tribe of Wicklow.
Port of Kino, Corona Island.

I laughed.
"Oh, I saw that!", I said with a smile, "Your people are very friendly. Not many, not even back home, with allow an unknown horseman unconditionally onto their property and help him." Then again, I did have an advocate. I was almost finished on my end. "Though, I wonder... what superstition?"

Nela, Prinzessin von Zieselhaven und Elms.
Port Aya, Hoshino.

"Green tea all around, please.", I confirmed with a nod, although both Rena and I were coffee drinkers. "And ice cream..."
The orders were made. Please allow me to skip this part, it is not very entertaining - except for the fact, that both Rena and I decided to go for the option with chocolate ice cream.
"It'll be all on my bill.", I told the waitress.
Once that was done, I turned to Kaori.
"A trip to Teressien would surely be something to tell about.", I said with a smile, "Though the Wißenthenland might be familiar to you in many ways, Zieselhaven will be a culture shock."
Rena nodded.

Elin Blaidd, of Tralee Descent.
Kitan, Port Aurora.

Leaving Theomer to his thoughts (seriously, when would he get, that I, and thus Branwen as well, had been born 2000 CE, not 2000 BCE?) I nodded.
"Reserve three spots, please.", I asked of the receptionist with a smile, "We need to get our stuff into our room, after all..."
Branwen nodded and hefter her bag up again.
A fun evening was before us, that was for sure!
RPing in MT and PT.

"Uh, yeah. Papa you can handle the shop then can't you?"

"Of course I can! You take some time for yourself too."

"Then it's a date. I mean yeah...." She blushed again "Anything more I can help you here with? And well would you be terribly bothered if I brought my daughter along this afternoon?"

Port Aya

"Here here!" They all toasted to that and drank up . "So," Ya-Xi continued the conversation "Might I ask, what else you want to do here during the festival? You going to stay here on Hoshino or going to island hop?"

Joel Miller,
Kino, Corona.

"I won't be bothered at all, so bring her if you want. Would ypu mind if Sarah came too?" I ask with a lovely smile to Sunplena. "Other than that, I think we're all good here." I continue as I turn to Tommy, Maria and Sarah, who all nod in approval.

Staff Sergeant Abigail "Abby" Anderson
Port Aya, Hoshino

"No, we will stay here, as we only have two days to enjoy the Festival." Owen replies to Ya-Xi. "Besides, all of us Astarians had to choose only one Island to vacation, so that there isn't any sort of overcrowding and therefore risk of harming the nature by our presence en masse." he explains.
"Yeah." I reply with a nod." So, since you're the bosses around here, do you know any good things we might enjoy visiting?" I ask to Shinya and Ya-Xi.

"Watch your mouth or you'll be finding yourself denied entry." She snapped back at Kassadnya. "You were informed of bagged inspections and checks upon coming to shore when you applied for your passport for here. Ya don't like it then you can go somewhere else, otherwise be quiet and let us work."

A few rummages later things were noted and checked and written down by the officers. "All right, you're cleared to enter. Enjoy the festival and remember to behave yourselves."

She waved them to move along.

She sighed a bit frustrated "Tourists can be obnoxious at times."

''Na maika ti u gazo, kurva dolna mrasna.'' Kassadnya hissed bitterly at the woman under her breath, insulting the customs authority woman in her mother tongue to not be understood as to what she said to her. Crossing her arms defiantly as several of the other border authority officials were wrapping up with the inspection of their possessions, weapons, and other luggage. All the while the young women stared the uniformed figures in front of her with an icy glare that was so sharp it seemed it could kill.

''Excuse my colleague madam,'' The broad-shouldered bodyguard interrupted the tension in English, letting out a nervous chuckle as he lightly smiled at the custom's woman,'' we have been out at sea for little over two weeks, just shy of half a month now. Over which time my colleague suffered a bad case of seasickness during the first week of the voyage on the high seas.'' Elaborated Oles to the seemingly respectable middle-aged woman, until the Count of Novobirsk decided to join in on averting a potentially serious situation, wrapping his hand gently around the shoulder of the maidservant in a manner that seemed fatherly from an onlooker's angle.

''Forgive my interruption in this - we are from the Holy Kingdom of Cassadia, it's just that we are not that used to have our personnel belongings and possessions personally checked...especially for someone of your station and circumstance of the situation we have found ourselves in.'' Treize said languidly,'' Perhaps introductions are in order; I am Count Treize of the House of Khushrenada, this is my fiance Princess Cornelia Von Peacekraft, she is an older sibling to my future sister-in-law and head-of-state, Empress Relena Von Peacekraft.'' The honorable Count revealed, feeling rather unwell that he had to disclose such notable information about themselves to the authorities of a region whose governor or whatever Noble would want to meet with members of the ruling Royal Family of a nation that was either seen as a beacon and endurance of the old traditional values that were consistently passed down the generation since Medieval times, with all the feudal mentalities and sensibilities that it entailed; either good or bad depending on the perspective of the person or government in question.

This unmasking made Cornelia choked, tick-tocking with her heels to the group as she made her way to the front, coming up to her husband as she addressed the border authorities.'' Unfortunately for your Lord, we are not visiting in any official capacity, so we are not authorized to make promises or sign treaties on behalf of my sister or government.'' Said Cornelia to the official in plain English.'' Tell your superiors that, when they have to report this to your Lord.''

''Other than that,'' The Princess switched to another topic'', can you give any directions to any of your pagan Temples, from what little I learned about your land?'' The inquiry while not amounting to anything nevertheless raised an eyebrow from her future husband-to-be, who asked her in Cassadian.

''Why visit a heathen temple? Shouldn't we be attending the festival, I do not want to taint my soul in such places that could endanger our souls.'' Treize voiced his concerned displeasure at to what Cornelia wanted, who reacted unamused.

''We'll go to Confession when we return if you think that you've made your Soul unclean,'' Said Cornelia as she took half of Treize's hand'' but I made a promise to Lukov that I'll bring him back some souvenirs from this trip. I am sure you know he is a rather avid collector of such esoteric objects.''

''He pays hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not millions to treasure hunters, grave robbers, and actual career thieves to break into museums, private collections, cursed trap-ridden ancient tombs. Why would you think he is going to be impressed by your purchases of some souvenirs being sold at some stand.'' The Count scoffed at his wife's suggestion. He had personally known Lukov for years going back to his days at the Emperor's Own Officers Academy. While he had not known Lukov personally, he like everyone else knew of the ruckus that he caused when he humiliated Chief Rector in front of the entire nation, dragging his character through the mud over not sending inexperienced, not-fully trained cadets.

Lukov would get his wish - like he always does - Treize thought to himself on occasion. He looked to his wife, Cornelia like all her siblings looked to Lukov as that one fun big-brother figure that aimed to please and entertain them in anything they so desired.

A layer of sinister masks they all were. Such a sad predicament this is... Treize mentally said to himself.

It did not take long until everything that the customs officials had unpacked were put back in the luggage bags - while it took longer than Cornelia found acceptable, tapping with one leg into the ground with her heel, as Cassadua swung over one of the duffle bags around her shoulders, with Oles Hanchar doing likewise the same but with ''magic box'', that he had to carry around.

Once the Cassadian posse had put considerable distance between themselves and the Customs authorities, the first Princess broke off from Treize's hold on her hand, making a quick break for Kassadnya who would not be aware of what was to happen to her until the act was already done for.

With a swipe of her hand, the youthful princess, struck her across the face in one swift movement, proceeding to take a grip of both of her shoulders with her arms, nails digging into her flesh like knives.

''If you embarrass me like that again, I swear to God that I will have you thrown overboard. Do you understand me!'' Cornelia hissed, tone like a serpent and eyes filled with blazing fury upon the girl, who at that moment wanted nothing, but to shrink into nothingness so that Kassadnya would never have to experience wrath like that.

The Count, ever thoughtful of the mental health and treatment of servants, like he always had, be it when he observed how other noblemen treated their own - came up next to his wife before motioning to her to stop with what she was doing to one their servants, which Cornelia did as she relented from her grip off the shoulders of Kassadnya, which made the young girl breathe a sigh of relief as her liege distanced herself from her by continuing walking forwards as to what appeared to be a rickshaw.

''You should not have been as brutish to the people at customs, otherwise, you would not have gotten this into this tense predicament.'' Said the bodyguard who stood beside her, looking down on her with his pitying gaze

''Shut up - spare me your charity!'' Said the maidservant as she picked up her pace in order to keep up with her better, still dumbfounded by what her Count and Royal had said about staying over at one of the local hotels rather than on the yacht.

Why would one settle on such inferior lodgings was beyond the imagination of both Oles and Kassadnya, nevertheless they were intent on doing their duty to their Grace and Highness as their jobs, and even their own lives depended on it.

AHSCA wrote:"Very well, please come along." She lead him along through a series of doors and entries between buildings to the kitchen where everything was housed. Quite a few girls were at work preparing a large spread that would certainly feed many. The girl managing everything was a Priestess by the name of Nokte as mentioned by the Matron of the temple. "Nokte, we have a guest who has offered us his services."

"Splendid, thank you for the help. Well sir what can you do, can you cook or can you not? There's always plenty to do in here so don't fret if you can't. I'm preparing a large banquet as many villagers will descend on us as evening comes."

A rather large sword fish was placed on the counter by a couple of other girls. "Freshly hauled in."

"Give my thanks to Tran for his offering"

"We will."

“I can cook in fact,” the silver haired man smiled slightly, having prided himself on his self-sufficiency. “But do you need me to cook?” came the second answer. He would be a dutiful servant regardless of task, no matter how menial, but wouldn’t be afraid to ask for help or clarification in case the task proved a bit more complex than he was expecting.

Theomer lifted his own bag and offered a spare hand to lift up Elin’s luggage. Regardless when Spioraid were born, it was more than likely she would outlive him by centuries at least. Still, might as well do something worth remembering, even if it was something as inconsequential as helping someone with her luggage. “Here, lemme help, ya got th’ key after all.” the blond began. “...So when’s th’ bath? Ah assume there’s timeslots fer these things. Can’t jus’ waltz in there.”

"Let's seee...Sinclair!" She flipped the pages of the big log book of guests "Here we are. Got you in for your stay with us. Oh hello there little one. And yes we do have springs here, open air or indoors to your choice. I have a room opening up real soon so plenty of time. But please keep in mind that animals are not permitted in the water, it must wait in the change room or your state room."

"Thats no problem" replies Tricia, "we will leave him in our room so she's safe rather than the change rooms where we can't see her", she turns to Nebo "unless that is you want to take her for a walk?" before turning back to the desk keeper "Can we have a look at the springs before we check in?" she asks

Chyna just lies on the counter, fascinated on the clerk's shiny fingernails, she extends her paw and starts to tap it, *batt!* luckily her claws are retrated but is quite comedic as every time she goes to move her hand, *batt!*

Marcella perked up "That's terrific!" Granted it was a tough spot for Aurelia to see her father remarry but Marcella was going to get her through every step of the way. "I hope I'll get a chance to say hello and congratulate them. And maybe treat you all to dinner for coming all the way out here for our little old festival. And how is the Aurelia doing? Still as seaworthy as always I'm sure."

Kino

"Just old superstition that says those who are too jovial on the sea will insecure the wrath of the Black Goddess and summon a mighty storm! Well I've never believed it myself but it's old sailor mantra that hold still. Take your reason why, she hates joy, you wake her up from a slumber, there's no one answer as to why it happens but it seems to happen according to the weary seafarer. Of course you got here fine so as I said, just old superstition." She winked

Port Aya

"Coming up!" She took their orders and left to retrieve them

"We'll make it through together, won't we Georgie? That's right, Kaori!"

The waitress returned short time later with everything "Green tea all around! Chocolate ice cream for Kaori's friends here, a little extra special added by me." She winked with her good eye "And for you Kaori, a double dose, Green tea and green tea ice cream!"

"yay my favorite!"

"Enjoy!"

Kaori took her first scoops "Want some, Georgie?"

"No, I always get brain freeze."

"Fine, more for me then. Oh would you like to see me in a yukata? Mama worked really hard so I could have one by the festival so I've been really saving it so I won't make a mess. That's why I'm wearing a sundress. I really like my sundress too, I like anything."

Hoshino

"Only two days, what a shame." Ya-Xi shook her head in disappointment

"Then best make it a memorable two days. Well good sights huh? Outside of Port Aya you can go up Tabby's Point. A rather tall looking mound you saw when you arrived no doubt. Great lookout spot to see out to sea forever. Great picnic place too, I often take Ya-Xi up there for a quiet day out in nature"

"I love it when Shinya takes me up there! So yeah go up Tabby's Point. There's also plenty of rice farms around, maybe say hello to some of the locals. The beaches are nice, some great caves to see, just be careful if you go during high tide, you can dive when they fill with water but best do it if your experienced."

Well one didn't need to understand the language to know she was probably insulting her with something. But she let it roll off her back but if they acted like this the whole time it'd be a matter of time before they'd be kicked out. Still the Count explained things which still didn't matter to her, if they were visiting dignitaries they'd be at the Embassy Isle, not at the main port of Aurora but she didn't say anything about that but when asked about the pagan temples, she answered,

"We have the grand temple of Aurora that's straight on down the main town square. at the very end of the row, turn left, don't go straight or you'll hit the Ducal Palace instead. Take time to see it, it's always a sight as well. But best mind your manners or the Priestesses will ask you to leave. Enjoy your time." Once out of their presence she talked more with her fellow officers again muttering something about tourists and how some could be quite annoying like them.

If they wanted to settle in first, the Kitan was looming ever present for them to go get settled in, otherwise yes the Temple was there with it's beauty and grace of nature to be visited.

She tossed over a white apron for him "Good, find a spot and get to it." She began cutting parts of the fish into little cubes "The little children really love when they're in cubes like this. It's fun for them. You can slice regular proportions for the adults. Cook half of what you cut and leave half raw but season like so" She pointed out various seasonings and spices to add on top.

“It’s like you said Jellal. This place really is paradise”.

“Didn’t I tell you. I have a good feeling that you will like it. And I’m sure we will speak with some of the other locals as well”.

“You can tell?” Jay asks jokingly. “Yeah. I am from Cartoonia. I have heard from my companions and colleagues at the studio I work at, that this country is a great getaway from modern Cartoon life. By the way, the name is Jay Sherman.

"Tsubasa Kinoshita, Mister Sherman, pleasure. How are things in Cartoonia of late? I've wanted to travel there some time to really see what its like."

Leading them down a hall she opened up one door "This is one example of our indoor pool baths. A small pool with hot water. Now if you'd like to see the open air I can as well, they're just outside here."

"Of course I won't mind. More the merrier they say. So uh yes, please. Uh papa, why don't you finish with them.." Her cheeks were starting to burn just thinking about it, how exciting!

"Well then sounds like you'll have a lovely time with my Sunplena." He chuckled in a jovial manner "Your total cost here." He handed them their final bill which in Credits, no big problem for them. "Thanks for your business, come on back again!"

"Thank you very much for your welcome, we'll be sure to come back. Well, at least me in a few hours." I say, the last part jokingly as my cheecks also become a bit red like Sunplena.
"Thank you very much, have a nice Festival!" exclaim my brother Tommy, Maria and Sarah as they wave with their hands, before we exit the shop after having paid.

After a few meters, Tommy slaps me across the back with a big smile on his face.
"My big brother, all in love again! You have no idea how glad I am to see that Joel!" he exclaims before crushing me in a bear hug.
"Yeah little brother, let's hope everything goes well." I reply as I hug him back.
"The way she was looking back at you, I don't doubt it will." replies Maria as she smiles too. "Sarah, we all count on you this afternoon. Take care of Sunplena's daughter while your dad is on his date.
-With pleasure Ma'am!" finishes my daughter as she puts her left fist over her heart and bows her head, causing us all to laugh.

With that done (and the feeling of butterflies in my stomach never ending.), we get back on our bicycles, before starting to pedal towards the local Temple, where we may see some nice things...

"Well, that's Astarian working life for you." I reply to Ya-Xi with a joking tone. "Joke aside, since some storms may happen from now on, the last thing anyone of us wants would be to be stranded here or in danger on our boats on the way back to the Malditas because of a hurricane." I reply before taking another bite.
"Tabby's Point eh?" asks Owen with an interested tone. "Thanks, I think it's a great location to visit. We'll be working our bodies during the climb. After that, maybe some time at the beach, or other visits. Do the temples around here are wary of strangers?" he asks.

The room was plain but cozy, with a writing desk (and complimentary stationery), an oil lamp, a window with a view of a grove of palm trees, and what the English-speaking world termed a Murphy bed that folded out from the wall. "This is lovely, thank you for the escort. Er, is tipping a thing here or would you consider that rude? Despite traveling for a living, I never seem to guess right. If you could recommend me anything to see and do, I'd really appreciate that."

"Tipping is acceptable, just please do not feel obligated to do so if you do not wish. For sights, perhaps you'd like to see The Great Temple of Aurora, this is after all a holy sight. If you wish to relax a while longer we have splendid large baths here, right now we're a bit quiet so getting a private room wouldn't be difficult otherwise there's always shared if you like some company. That even includes us staff if requested. We have a lovely grove of palm trees just outside for those who like to be outside but don't want to wander over to the next village. The beaches are fine too."

"That all sounds lovely, thank you." I put some music on and snapped a few pictures of the room for the article before unpacking my bags into the wardrobe, changing into a blue sundress and ivory sandals that were much better suited to my tropical surroundings, and writing up a little more for the article. AHSCA offers the weary traveler a wealth of places to lay your head. The Kitan Inn in Port Aurora is highly regarded and reasonably priced, and I have zero complaints about my stay there. As a bonus, it boasts an adjoining restaurant and hot spring. Camping is a possibility for the adventurous traveler, and for the altruistic or religiously-minded there are many temples and shrines that will happily give you room and board in exchange for a donation or helping out with work around the place.

"Riding the wives like only she can.", I said with a smile. Of course, Marcella knew the ship, which carried my name, she had even sailed on it before, if I remember correctly. "I like trips on her and..."
My smartphone rang in my pocket.
For a moment, my heart stopped: There were only a handful of people, who had an acoustic signal attached to their calls, messages, whatever no matter what - and my smartphone was turned to silent.
"Excuse me, that might be important.", I told Marcella, worry in my eyes as I pulled the little device out, gave my fingerprint and looked - a message from Dad. Oh. He was probably angry.
I opened it - and snorted.
"It's for you.", I said and showed the screen to Marcella.
There was a Selfie, of Yasmin and Dad at the bow of the Aurelia, leaning against the railing, Port Aurora in the background. Under it was a small message: Dear Marcella - we both hope, that Aurelia is with you and that you both are fine. Make yourselves a nice and happy day and night and enjoy the festival. We'll find our way around. ; ) We both hope, that we can see you and Gisella at some point during our honeymoon for tea. Maybe in two days? Make the arrangements with Aurelia. "Never underestimate superstition.", was all I said about that and exhaled. "The Gods have their ways to punish careless travelers."
I finished cleaning my horse, at least the first wave. I reached for a stiffer brush - now was the time to remove dirt from the deeper layers of his fur. I smiled and began to brush him.
"This here, though...", I began and glanced over to Alya, "It's a paradise. I like it here." Then I laughed. "Generations ago, a Folracht saying such a thing anywhere would have made people break out in nervous sweat!"

We thanked the waitress, then spoke a quick prayer of thanks to the Spirits and thanked the local deities, both in Teressian, and as we weren't struck down by a lightning bolt, we took it as a good sign.
Scooping up the first spoon of my ice cream, I smiled at Kaori.
"You do look cute in it, my dear.", I said with a smile, "Though I must admit, that I never saw someone in a yukata..." I leaned over, a bit of mischief dancing in my eyes. "Do you think, that Rena would look cute in one?"

I, meanwhile, nodded at the receptionist. "Thank you very much, Miss. Have a good day.", I said and followed her colleague, Natsume, as she was called. I made up the rear of our little group. "So, Natsume, anything we need to keep in mind during the nights? Noise limits, for example?"

So another show huh?? Well Tess couldn't reject such offer when it presented itself to her so she eagerly nodded alongside Satou in that regard after hearing a bit of the actress romantic life a bit. It was certainly an interesting show to watch and with a rainy day it would be very interesting to come and see it.

She then heard her question regarding the theater scene there and she eagerly nodded to answer.

"Indeed it is massive; the theaters have the sizes of palaces and the scene is very big for the works that are made." Tess said while grinning at Tsubasa. "If I could show you an picture I would now. But I forgot my phone back at our hut." She said sighing and looking a bit down. "Sorry for that..."

Tsubaki
"I see. That's very nice ma'am." Eduard smiled at that while paying the food and then got his drink first; he got to drink it and found it delicious, certainly it was a nice place to stay. The local Temple again buzzing as usual thanks in big part to the crowds gathered to listen to High Priestess singing a merry song. Upon her conclusion it was met with applause "Thank you enjoy the festival."

"Lovely as always, Matron." Another Priestess dawned in the robes and wearing glasses told to her

"Aww thanks, I really practiced that one."

I'm certain Kumiko would be delighted to see you. Did you hear she got married herself?"

His food was brought out by another young lady this one the oldest daughter of the inn keeper. "Here you go." She also refilled his drink. "Please enjoy the meal. Is there anything else I can bring you?"

"You as well!" He again chuckled "Well well..." He muttered to himself "Looks like my Sunplena has another date. That she does." And with that he resumed his day's business.

"More visitors." She noticed the ones riding up on bicycles. "Oh nature adventurers come to see the festival. Truly a great festival." Well again tourism from none islanders was dramatically up this year. Go figure that.

"Welcome, friends."

"Yes I suppose you're right," Ya-Xi agreed. Shinya continued, "weather can be pretty harsh this time of year and well our hurricane season was rather quiet so that usually is a sign the monsoons will be harsh. It's always a trade off I suppose."

"I'll be fine because I have Shinya with me." She nuzzled up against her husband in a loving manner

"No the Temples are pretty welcoming always." Shinya responded "The Matrons usually take time to address visitors assuming they're not in meditation."

After a quiet ride, we finally arrive to the local Temple, where we witness a Priestess apparently finishing a song, which is met with applause. And apparently, from how another priesteess adressed her just before greeting us, it's none other than the Matron, or High Priestess, of the Temple.

As we dismount our bikes and attach them, we approach the Matron and the other Priestess.
"Good morning Ladies." I say with a warm smile. "Thank you for your warm welcome. We were hoping to hear about the local beliefs and the legends surrounding it, and their ties to the nature surrounding us.
-And maybe get some marriage advice." adds my brother Tommy with a playful tone as he nudges me with a wink.
-Can it bro, we're not there yet! " I reply to my brother, before turning back to the two priestesses.

"Thanks for the tip about the moonsoons." I reply to Ya-Xi. "Fortunately, our different sea walls and other protective measures have all been completed and cleared recently, so I think we'll be safe on this point." I add before taking another bite of my meal.
"Meditation eh? " asks Owen to Shinya. "Do they do that to relax, or in a spiritual way to reach for the spirit of the Goddesses, or something like that?" he asks with a genuine curiosity.

"Natural geothermal but it's honestly no hotter than an artificial spa pool. Hotter than a warm bath but tolerable like a spa. All pools are natural in the islands thanks to our unique geology. Eighty so uh 80 you said, I assume that's 26 centigrade? Ours a little warmer than that usually no more than 37 but usually in the range of 29-35. Anyway you want to see the open air pools, please follow me" she lead them just outside a few standing pools of hot water steaming and a few guests taking advantage of them already. "Complete open air and one with a shelter. Though if you ask me, a soak while a cool rain falls on you can be very refreshing."

Nebo looks across to the assistant, "no, not farenheight, eighty centigrade!" she says, reffering to the boiling lake, she then whips out a phone from her backpack and taps the screen before showing the assistant a video of a large lake surrounded by frozen land, the lake itself is bubbling and boiling with lots of steam, a hand comes into view and puts an egg into a cage which is then lowered into the water. The egg eventually rises to the surface where it is then peeled and eaten. The person filming the video is Nebraska herself

''Stragers In A Strange Land
At The Kitan

The journey to this hotel that the customs woman spoke of took far less time than the small band of Cassadians had originally thought, and while that was a welcoming change of things compared to what Cornelia had had to put herself through when she and her husband had to go through that port-of-entry checkpoint. How unseemly and rude those people were, I never had to put up with such annoying scoundrels before, Cornelia mentally noted to herself as she replayed that scene on rewind in her mind again.

Indeed, maybe I was too harsh on Kassadnya. The princess mentally deliberated with her consciousness.
The rickshaw was nothing to admire, especially in that its craftsmanship of it's exterior could not hold a candle to the Royal Carriages and those of the Court, which took part in the opening and closing ceremony that marked the beginning of the session and its end. There were no curved spiraling edges, smooth lines, and the richly ornamented car bodies with intricate golden patterns that resembled leaves, flowers, and complex bords.

Count Treize Kushrenada was the first to disembark from the rickshaw as he marched around it to where the door next to his fiance was, opening it with a pulling-motion towards himself as he extended his other hand, reaching out for Cornelia to take it, which she did. Putting her silk-gloved hand into the palm of her future husband as she disembarked the rickshaw. The other two in the meantime had gotten off earlier, having to take the luggage out with them, as they all set forth towards the hotel in which they were to spend the next couple of nights. Something that most people would have found scandalous when one had to consider that even on the outside it appeared to be a century behind the times when it came to the hotel business, even when pitted at three, or even two-star hotels.
Passing through the main front entrance, the four Cassadians marched up to the lobby. Again it was not anything fancy with only the furniture and interior being possibly the only exception. Treize Khushrenada took the lead in checking in for the rest of the group as they patiently stood at a distance from their betters, with only Cornelia standing by his side, her arm wrapped around the elbow of her husband as she looked on as her husband exchanged remarks with the receptionist about booking rooms for both his wife and for their two servants. The four Cassadians could not have done a better job at standing out from among the crowd that was present in the nearby space that served as the hotel's restaurant.
While Kassadnya, was a simple enough case, sticking out from the others because of her long dress over which was put a Victorian apron, while Oles Honchar was dressed in more normal clothes; a beige two-piece suit, and while that might have been nothing except to the poor locals - the awkward sight of him standing about in the background, seemingly on edge with one hand always ready to pull up the lower fabric of his suit jacket, as if to draw something, not to mention the weird boxy kevlar rucksack he carried on his back.

The combat webbing that was visible once one was to get close did not help in that regard either.

The two people of blue blood could not contrast more with the common folk, Cornelia was a tall, beautiful woman with long lush raven hair that she wore either in a half up-half down crown-braid with two strands framing her face, and was dressed in a high-cut dress besides also being adorned with jewelry of whose as highlights was an expensive necklace and a golden ring, embellished with the Great Seal of the Phoenix, that represented the Cassadian Royal Family Treize with his white tropical uniform that comprised a white matching white jacket and dresses pants Struggling with the woman behind the counter, probably mainly having to do with her weak understanding of English. Nevertheless, the couple tried their luck and were failing, at convincing the young lass that the money he was offering were genuine and not some fake pieces of paper, like what she claimed it was probably, in her tongue, a twister of a language.

''Honey, I don't think they'll understand you, even if you go on elaborating yourself to them as if they are toddlers.'' The tall, queenly woman said to her significant other as Cornelia let off her hold on his arms as she reached back with her hand to the back of her neck, gently putting it off from around her neck, putting it down on the reception desk, the jewels the precious metals glistening in all their luxurious splendor that would cost the kidneys of about half a dozen normal commoners.
Treize’s eyes went wide, inclined to the side as he whispered sternly.’’ Dear, what are you doing!,’’ said the man, unnerved by what his wife-to-be, was about to do,’’ that is a present from the Ejorikean King’s wife. What is she going to say when she finds out you’ve thrown it on a hole like this.’’ This protest of the middle-aged aristocratic man annoyed Cornelia who sighed before turning her head to her fiance.

’’ Oh, you spoiled little cherub, what if we spend a night or two in a place like this, or were those officer’s suite too luxurious for you when you and Lukov were training to be commissioned officers at the Carthage Officer’s Academy?’’ The princess asked in a discreet combative tone, which made Treize step back at the remark. He bit his lip just at the mere mention of this man that Cornelia had just uttered his name.
Cutting this non-issue out, the long-legged queenly Cornelia turned to the young girl at the receptionist desk, trying to reject what the woman of Blue Blood had just offered her to pay for personal lodgings.

’’ And besides, I and my sisters have a jewelry collection that is about a couple jewel-stores big.’’ Prince Cornelia said, as she turned to the receptionist girl, who was trying her hardest to accept this bold attempt at booking lodging with an item that might as well have bought the Kitan.

’’I insist that you accept this prized article of jewelry as payment and for causing an inconvenience for you and your business.’’ Cornelia solemnly stated as she put her left hand on the necklace which she pushed forward as she took the hand of the hotel receptionist with the other which she put on the said necklace.
’’I beg that you do so, for my sake and yours, and the prosperity of your business.’’ The princess insisted stubbornly in a soft voice, her words conveyed in English.

Meanwhile, the two servants to the future Royal couple were scrutinizing the scene that had been unfolding before them, in silence until it was Kassadnya who broke the stillness of the lack of verbal communication.
’’Her Highness should just buy this place; it looks like a whole even on the outside, with it inside somehow being even worse!’’ Commented the opinionated servant girl, for which she got a slap on the should with the snap of a heavy palm coming from Oles, his expression emotionless and neutral behind his shades.

’’ I cannot believe they somehow gave you this prestigious job, to work in the service of the Highness, especially one as obnoxious and with a peasant altitude such as yours.’’ The bodyguard weighed in on the misconduct of the girl, his words cold as stainless steel as he checked the environment that surrounded them, turning on occasion his head though not in a way that would have further made him stick out like an elephant in the room.

Once the hurdle with payment with foreign currency was out of the way, the tiny entourage of Cassadians set forth towards the two rooms that Cornelia had secured for both themselves and their two servant companions. The times spent in those rooms once they got to them was not long. Other than the universal lament coming from all of them about the primitive furnishing and lack of modern appliances such as electricity, television or air-conditioning, the two Royals changed respectively into more normal civilian clothes; with Cornelia sporting a more touristy look with a short yellow summer dress across that ran yellow lines around the entire article of clothing along with strappy sandals and sunglasses, Treize opted for a normal look for himself as well going down with white shirt, three-fourth shorts and a pair of sneakers. Except for Honchar, it was Kassadnya who switched from her sore-thumb maid dress and into a pair of tight jeans, flats, and a loose black shirt.

It was decided for the group by Cornelia, that the group should stop by the restaurant to refreshen themselves with food and drink before the group was to set out towards this temple that had been constructed as a place for worship for the local goddess or so the Cassadians thought to themselves. Much to the chagrin of Cornelia's fiance, who while not admitting it himself by the spoken word, was uncomfortable with eating in such an unrefined establishment, but was as always gently persuaded by Cornelia to follow her lead, as it was often in such things.

They seated themselves on two tables for two, Cornelia and Treize, and Oles and Kassadnya being seated at different tables respectively, with the latter taking up a table that was not far from the table of their masters, to be able to react quickly if the unthinkable, Lord forbid, was to happen.

Each ordered something different from whatever was on the menu that had been provided by the waitresses.

"Thank you Matron." Ii reply on behalf of our group, before following her inside the Temple and into the courtyard, taking some time along the way to take in the sights and temple's architecture.

It is one of the two key tenets of what we call the Ymir Dual Creation Laws, or how we see how the world is truly, both kind but also cruel at the same time. As you can see, it can apply to every aspect of life, whether it be relations with others, or even meteorology as we are talking now." I explain as I finish my beer, before asking a passing waitress for some green tea.
"For your information," I continue, "the other Creation Law is Om Vis Fred, Para det Skrig, or in English: If You Want Peace, Prepare for War." I add. "It's unfortunate that we have to see the world around us like that, but so far, history has done nothing to prove us of the contrary." I finish with a sigh, while Owen nods slowly in understanding.

Once back in the hotel room, Nebo and Tricia unpacked and began to get changed, this revealed a massive black panel work tattoo on Tricia that takes up half of Tricia's body
Image

Nebraska was on the whole devoid of tattoo work apart from a small piece on one arm, however she did have spikes in her bald head, and a split tongue. Once changed they both began to head down to one of the outdoor pools, their plan is to spend some time in the pool then head out into the village, however it did not take too long. Nebraska, wearing a pair of black hotpants and a bikini top with footwear being a pair of sandles, Tricia in a bikini and a pair of sandles, a towel slung casually over her shoulder.

Once at the springs, Tricia dipped her toe in, smiled then stepped in before beginning a gentle swim across the pool.
"Neebs, its lovelly here, get yerself in!" she says, before heading across to anyone else in the pool as Nebraska climbs in.

Aurelia was interrupted by her phone and she seemed concerned a moment until that concern turned to Amusement as she handed Marcella the phone. "Awww!" Marcella cooed "That's so sweet. He's so sweet. Uuuh don't suppose you can reply with a picture of the both of us together. What do they call them? Oh selfies!"

Kino

"I don't deny the Black Goddess commands respect on the high seas. Well just... ah you're right...Perhaps I'm over confident. A paradise you say? I certainly agree about that. I haven't traveled much to be honest. Never had a need to as a humble island chief. But my few life experiences have told me not to take my home for granted. And it's nice to have fine men like yourself, remind me that."

Port Aya

Kaori looked them over "Mhm mhm" She nodded "She certainly would. I think you would too. I like see folks from other places put on our clothes from here. It's so common to us but we know for others it's very different. It's fun! And fun things are fun."

Kitan Port Aurora

"Ah I think just about any common sense rule applies here. Noise should be kept low but there's still plenty of lively activity outside so think of it like this, when the noise outside is down it's good to be quiet inside. Here we are." She showed them to their room, opening the door, the usual accommodations that many rooms had. "Looks like Ren's been here." She noted the already open drapes and window "Great so things are pretty set. If you got any other questions I'm thrilled to answer them!"

Princess Aurelia bint-Damir.
Port Aurora.

I smiled.
"Great idea!", I said and scooched closer, putting an arm around Marcella. Meanwhile, my finger was busy at work getting the right app opened and onto the screen. "Okay, Marcella, on the count of three..."
I raised my smartphone-carrying arm, saw to it, that the image caught us both and began: "One... two..."
And when it came to three, I pressed the button and turned my head, kissing Marcella as a surprise. There was only one issue: She had the same idea.
And like that, what was supposed to be a cute peck on the cheek for the camera, was a kiss on the lips - I did not mind one bit, though.
The camera took the image and sent it to Dad automatically, while I blushed and smiled, slightly sheepish.
"Great minds think alike, eh?", I asked.

Aonas Folracht of the Tribe of Wicklow.
Port of Kino, Corona Island.

I blushed lightly at being called a fine man.
"It really is beautiful.", I said as I continued to brush my horse for the second, mandatory run, coming closer to Alya. "But not only the landscape or the weather, but also the people..."
Standing next to her, looking into her eyes...
"...you perfectly represent that...", I whispered to her.
I had no idea, what in the name of the Gods I was doing there.

Nela, Prinzessin von Zieselhaven und Elms.
Port Aya, Hoshino.

Rena nodded. "Can't argue with that logic!", she said.
I smiled as well. "I agree.", I said, "And thank you. I am quite sure, that you would look cute in our clothes as well - we call it Tracht."
Rena seemed doubtful for a moment, but then nodded. "Yeah, you certainly would. Maybe a little flower crown as well?"
I nodded. "That would be perfect!" I let a beat pass. "If you would be up for it, of course."

Elin Blaidd, of Tralee Descent.
Kitan, Port Aurora.

"Thank you.", I told the maid, "That'd be all from my end."
If Theo had any questions was up to him, but for now, Branwen and I moved in. She looked out of the window for a moment after setting her bags down, nodded to me - it was nice.
Of course, we would keep it down, if there would be something to keep down.
We set ourselves up, which would also end with Theomer, if he looked, seeing our clothes, neatly folded up and ready to be used, vanishing into one of the wardrobes - while underwear was among it, there was also swimwear.
Branwen, meanwhile, also set up our work area, mainly with the laptops (two very modern, almost brand-new devices) and plugged them in. If we had Internet here or not was of little concern, our research would be saved on those devices for now anyway.
Once we were all finished, I smiled into the round: "So, who wants to hit the baths?"
Branwen raised her hand.

"Aha no worries, dear, I'm sure I can find pictures for myself. Mervay's become a real destination for islanders so travel brochures and the like are stacked around. Anyway I don't want to hold you folks up longer and we're gonna go take a break ourselves to have some enjoyment before our next show. So have a lovely festival and thanks again for coming to the show."

"Thank you, have a lovely festival yourself." Satou agreed and taking Tess by the hand she gently pulled her along. Satou giggled in delight just giddy with the love of her life at her side and a lovely day to be out and about. "So why don't I take you shopping? Just like you took me shopping! I'm certain Kumiko would be delighted to see you. Did you hear she got married herself?"

Tsubaki

His food was brought out by another young lady this one the oldest daughter of the inn keeper. "Here you go." She also refilled his drink. "Please enjoy the meal. Is there anything else I can bring you?"

Aurora
The fact Mervay became a tourist destination to Islanders is no surprise entirely considering it's face as the good example of the modern world from all efforts made by the government and to show that it was part of that beautiful face of it.

"You too Ma'am. Thank you for your time and such spectacular show; have a lovely festival." Tess said smiling too while she was taken by her wife; noticing her delight on being out like this with her beloved at her side, it made her chuckle too. She then heard her asking about going shopping and of course, there was no better place than Kumiko's store for that; to which she nodded with delight at the idea before getting herself surprised of hearing she already got married.

"She's married!? Nice to hear for her then, I can be certain if I remember well who her wife was will also be glad of such thing." She said grinning while having a thought, perhaps a gift to the married couple should be bought alongside now that she thought about it. "Perhaps we should buy them some wedding gift if you would like to? I mean as a way to congratulate them for their relationship?"

Tsubaki
Then the food came and by the looks of it, that seemed delicious. Certainly it would be nice to taste such wonderful dishes.

"Nothing else young lady. I appreciate your service." He smiled to the girl and gave her a tip before letting her go and eat his food. As soon as she ate it, it was a spectacular feeling on his mouth as he enjoyed every bite of it; truthfully delicious.

"Thank you Matron." Ii reply on behalf of our group, before following her inside the Temple and into the courtyard, taking some time along the way to take in the sights and temple's architecture.

"Haper det Optimas, Para det Pessimis." I reply in Astarian with a smile. "In English, it translates to: Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

"Of course, you're welcome to take all you like, might even get a few of me!"

"Ahem."

"Aha well, take pictures of the grounds all you like anyway, don't mind my silliness."

"That said we won't be opposed to being captured in photos. Just the Matron should act more...Matronly."

"Hoho, Matron just feels like such an odd title for me. Given I'm certainly younger than most High Priestesses."

"Nevertheless your title comands reverence and respect."

"Very well very well. Now the thing to understand is our Temple isn't a singular structure like the others, but a small complex of these thatch buildings strung together by a lot of clever build work, with some stone reinforcement. The inner courtyard is where most of our activities occur, much like the open hall of your traditional stone temple would. Of course it's a little more maintenance but nobody said life of a Priestess was supposed to be easy."

"The creeds us islanders live by!" Shinya agreed with a smile. "And I suppose it's in all nature for people to fight. I think you look far back enough mankind or the like never really been a peace. Always something to fight about so you can accept it and prepare yourself"

"Spoken like a true soldier" Ya-Xi nodded "Shinya is also this nation's Deputy Defense Officer."

Marcella's eyes widened at the last minute as Aurelia planted a surprise kiss on her. Well she'd be lying if she said she didn't enjoy it! No doubt it made the picture that much cuter. "Hehe indeed. How bout one more picture for posterity." She posed again and well what started as one picture became quite a few more of the two in different poses and everything else. Marcella also encouraged Aurelia take a few pictures of the scenery because the beautiful beaches against the blue sky and tall palms sticking up always made a post-card worthy snapshot. "We're blessed with a sunny festival. I like to think the Black Goddess has gone to sleep for a while before she'll emerge from her slumber to cast her rains upon us yet again. Now just the White Goddess to give us her warmth and love."

Kino

Ayla blushed and giggled "Hehe you know how to flatter me. You're pretty handsome yourself, Aonas." She also held her glowing cheeks now. He really did know how to lay on the charm.

Hoshino

"That does sound cute, doesn't it Georgie?"

"It sure does! When that time comes you'll be able to do so"

"Yeah."

Their waitress returned to gather their empty dishes "Little Kaori, I hear right you planning to change to your kimono soon?"

"Very soon."

"You'll look super adorable when you do. And hopefully your new found friends will find you just as cute as we all do here."

Aurora-the Kitan

"Wonderful, I shall prepare a room for you." She let them go onto their rooms to change and stow their things while she and a new worker prepared a room making sure it was just right for when the group would return.

"Welcome, it's all set for you folks."

"I'm sure you'll meet here there! you wouldn't think of it from Miss Reina but she's a really doting wife Her dark hair and eyes give her the expression of a real seasoned sailor who fears nothing but her personality around Kumiko is entirely different. Oh listen to me talk up another girl, hope you don't get jealous" She kissed Tess on the cheek, obviously Tess was the only girl in her life! "A wedding gift sounds wonderful! I think I told you it's not very common here but I really do want to give them something. You're better at this than I am so I figured you'd be the best choice." hand in hand they walked the short distance down to the shop. Thankfully by now the crowds had thinned from the early rush of when Aurelia had visited earlier. Kumiko sill here for a short while more before she'd join her family.

"Welcome! Oh, Satou!"

"Hey, Kumiko and look who else!"

"And Tess, how lovely it is to see you enjoying the festival with your wife now! My hearty congratulations to you both, I'm sorry to have missed your wedding" She bowed in apology

"Couldn't be helped, you were at sea, finding your future wife of your own!" Satou grinned

The women giggled "And how is Mamiko?"

"Still her usual dreamy silly heart self. She's taken to Reina very nicely and vice-versa. Well you're both here to shop I imagine, anything in particular you might be looking for? I have plenty of great stuff from my last haul. If you need something practicle for the rainy season ahead I have that too."

Tsubaki

"Very good, we'll be here if you need us." She left him to eat. From across the table a woman with long brown hair wearing a loose fitting yukata. She rolled up a paper in her arm and moved over "Greetings. You know islander traditions say it's better to eat with company so might I join you?" she took the time to introduce herself "Celia Shepherd. I'm also a tourist here, on vacation from Kuronami."

"We don't mind at all." I reply to the Matron's joke. "And it's not silly. Even though your title still commands respect and reverence, throwing jokes like that shows you're human." I add with a smile, as we listen to the explanations she gives to us about the Temple, while also snapping a few pictures of our surroundings.

"Indeed, spoken like a true soldier." I reply, before Owen and I let out a loud "Oh really?!" Ya-Xi tells us that her husband Shinya is the Deputy Defense Officer of the UIS.
"Well Sir," continues Owen, "it goes without saying that when we'll be finished with settling the Malditas, you'll be more than welcome to visit to give you an impression of the bases and all we've settled." he says with a wide smile.
"Owen, don't put the cart before the horse." I continue as I pat his hand, before turning to the Governors. Lunch was starting to seem like a good idea, so I finished my paragraph, closed my notebook, and walked over to the restaurant adjoining the inn. It was much busier than I expected for such a small town, but then again the religious festival was probably a big attraction for tourists. "Oh, I don't mind at all, I like meeting new people," I reassured the waitress, who was very apologetic about having to seat me with a couple who looked about as out of place here as a cow at the Aurinel debutante ball. Plain but definitely upmarket clothes, posh demeanor, foreign looks. Come to think of it, they were probably the ones with the immense white yacht distantly visible in the harbor. Money does not buy taste, as Mother always says. "Hello, I'm sorry to trouble you, but there don't seem to be any other seats." I ordered the tempura shrimp over rice along with a side salad before introducing myself. "Liane Harkenhal, from Brettenwald. I'm here on work, sadly, but you look more like tourists. Where are you from, if you don't mind me asking?"
