The United States of Woopa is expected to hold a general election on Oct.22nd, 2020 to elect the 60 members of the House of Nice. Currently, the government is a coalition between the Nice Party, Green Party and Woopan Communist-Worker's Party, dubbed the ''Green Coalition'', while also supported by the Liberal Party. This coalition currently has 32 seats (33 counting the Liberal Party). The opposition is the Party of the Woopans and Woopa Party, dubbed the ''Conservative Coalition''. The electoral system is IRV, meaning that voters rank candidates in single-member constituencies, and 50.01% of the vote is needed for a candidate to get elected. Nations and their political parties can endorse political parties. Here's some quick party information until the parties release platforms:

Economy: Continue with a socialist economic plan, and allow citizens to have a say in economic decisions that are deemed important, create a workplace democracy within government owned companies and create worker's co-operatives, along with giving increased powers to trade unions. Environment: Make Woopa carbon neutral by 2025, create a circular economy and invest in public transport such as subways, high-speed rail and public buses and make it free to ride buses, protect 20% of Woopa's natural ecosystems and create more national parks. Education: Increase wages for teachers by 30% and give more power to teacher's unions, make teaching religion in schools illegal and ban homeschooling, and create a referendum to determine if evolution should be taught in schools and teach students about government. Healthcare: Continue with a nationalized healthcare system, along with making dental and prescription drugs covered as well. Immigration and Foreign Policy:Increase immigration and ethnic minority rights, whilst making a mandatory background check for all wishing to immigrate to Woopa, give increased trade and relations to nations that uphold human rights and the environment, make sure that all trades sustainable, without workplace exploitation and that products are legal.

1. We see corruption as a major obstacle and hurdle to achieving communism, and we will make sure that all government officials are non-corrupt and establish a corruption watchdog.

2. Yes, we will continue to allow multi-party elections during our transition to socialism if elected, and we see the decision of citizens paramount in the transition to communism.

3. Yes, we will allow a completely free press so that citizens can see policies and events from all angles, along with a state one.

4. Yes, they will have a major role in government and decision making, and we will give them more power to control companies as well, which will be state owned.

5. Guns are a problem as they can be used by anti-communists to attack the proletariat, so we will definitely ban all civilian owned guns for this reason.

Whilst local government is not a big deal in this election, the Liberal Party has stated that they will keep current local government boundaries as they are. Local government currently has some autonomy from the federal government, but Woopa is a largely centralized country with no ''second'' form of government per se, as the only governments are federal and municipal.

The Electoral Commission Debate Committee has decided not to add this question to the debate, citing multiple reasons: The presence of a communist party in the debate, the fact that the Green Coalition has a communist party in its membership and that the Nice Party, Green Party and Liberal Party all are in a coalition with this communist party, which would also be detrimental to a coalition if they do oppose the ideology, the isolationist nature of the Woopa Party and that while the party opposes communism, it does not support getting involved in foreign affairs and that the Party of the Woopans would be the only party saying that they would actually support stopping the spread of communism. Perhaps try a less polarizing question?
