I'd be interested in joining, but to provide a functional role; writing automotive news and travel/food reviews.
I'm intending on covering the aforementioned parts above that some RP'ers either aren't interested in or won't cover in the RPs; this could be seen as filler content, if you like, in a way. IRL, I'm interested in those three topics anyway; but here the focus is switching to writing an IC manner.

I'd provide some threads written an IC manner focusing on those topics, and have it as a thread written as if it were a magazine publication etc. aiming for style and tone of a publication like Autocar or Lonely Planet etc. as an idea.

Would this be an NPC claim and if so, would I need to fill out the form, and do my ideas conflict with existing canon?

People have already claimed nations I'd considered (South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and United Kingdom all claimed); so I thought this may be one way to claim elements of them.

I think this is a great idea, and am a latecomer to it, but would be interested to see what everyone thinks; it's sort of like doing the work for people in RP's so they can concentrate on political/military and character RP's.

How it will mesh with existing canon is one of the problems with this though.

Interested to hear what you think of this.

I'd need more information before I say 'oooh, shiny' or 'no way, leave me out of it'. So I'd suggest joining the Earth II Discord so that you can provide further details about the idea and we can all discuss it together.

• NPC Summary: Born out of the Balkans Rebellions, a series of uprisings against the rule of the Empire of Austria in the 1910s, the People's Republic of Yugoslavia has had a turbulent history. Although broadly popular with the working class, due to its socialist policies and social benefits, many of those who lost titles, wealth and property in the Balkans Rebellions have long harboured resentment for their loss of status. In addition, ethnic and religious differences have increasingly come to the forefront as power is increasingly concentrated in the central government, resulting in increasing violence and unrest. As a result, the People's Government have had to dramatically increase the budget of security forces, and adopt an increasingly authoritarian style of governance, to the detriment of the social welfare budget, only increasing the social and political strain.

Hello Earth II.

I am requesting to be reinstated from Vacation Mode. I thank the group for their supporting during this difficult time while caring for my mother before her passing earlier this month. It is nice to know I have many friends here who genuinely care.

In being reinstated from Vacation Mode, I am abandoning the intro thread currently in progress. This is because my impetus and desire to continue it as it sits has left me and it would be better to start anew. I would also like to see if it is possible to expand my current claim a bit. If such an expansion should be granted, then I will have a new Intro RP up within 24-48 hours because it's already partially sketched out on paper (yes, I still use paper LOL).

This would bring the claim total population to 501,258,645 persons. Since I first popped in back in earlier 2020, I had mentioned Japan, but others were here before me who wanted it. Now, no one seems to have it from what I can gather from reviewing the apps thread. In so doing, it will remain a Constitutional Monarchy with a Prime Minister as Head of Government and an Emperor has Head of State. I will transfer the capital to Tokyo, though, as this may be more Japan-centric overall. Fear not, Shenzhen will still be our close partner and we will stand for democracy, civil rights, and all that good stuff (providing Shenzhen agrees to continue that idea).

With my existing claim likely to take a decent amount of time to complete, I've decided to make an additional claim to run alongside, as has happened previously, to allow me to do a different type of claim to keep things interesting.

Therefore, I hereby claim New Zealand, and all of its associated territories and holdings.

Pursuant to an older discussion in Discord, upon completion of Chrinthanium's claims, I will automatically transfer Japan (Minami-Tori-shima) back to him.

Historically it was conquered by Layarteb on August 14, 1874 as we conquered many of our Pacific territories to open up more resupply routes to Hainan and Sri Lanka (Ceylon in Layarteb). It will be historically returned to the United Empire of Japan and Greater Manchuria in 1955.
