Free Speech:「Yes or No」

There are many questions surrounding how much free speech a society should have. Some argue that hate speech should be banned, others advocate for "pure free speech", with no restrictions at all. So, what it everyone's opinions regarding free speech? Should there be restrictions, what kind of restrictions should or shouldn't exist, and who decides?

Edit for my personal opinion:
I believe that there should be as few restrictions as necessary, but there are inherently damaging ideologies such as racism, sexism, religious discrimination and other forms of speech that should be heavily discouraged, if not monitored. But that is my personal opinion, and I think everyone can debate themselves.

Free Speech is the best kind of Certain Freedom you can have. But sometimes, like in the US a lot, it is used for Discriminating, Racism, and other horrible things. So there are limitations. If we combined Germany and the US's Main Rights, it would be a good form of Free Speech. If we made it that a limit of free speech for Racism was given, it would be better.

There were a lot of people discussing this in another thread, so I created this one.

We already had threads like this, full of idiots. There is only one answer. No restriction by government or company, the only freedom is total freedom. Any form of restriction is blocking a persons beliefs or opinion and that is how you end up in dictatorships. Also who decides what is hate speech? If it’s the SJW than I can’t say a single word anymore.

Opinions are meant to be debated. Getting irrationally upset when someone targets your opinions in a society where free speech is a cornerstone is stupid.

This is a short-sighted view in my book. The owner of this forum (by way of example) should be allowed to set rules and enforce them. Otherwise every site with user comments would become a cesspit full of racism, porn, and gore.

Quite often, there are a lot of times when pure free speech tends to lead to less free speech (for example, if pure free speech allows Fascists, then Fascists' will inevitably remove free speech.)
