The queen of cities and the abode of felicity. Constantinople. In an effort to retake the city, various Christian nations and terrorist groups have banded together in a new crusade to "liberate" Constantinople, re-establish Christianity, and push back Islam.

Seeking to liberate Constantinople from the rule of the Abbasid Caliphate and Sultanate of Qahira, various Christian nations rise up to the task. Though the Fall of Byzantium was centuries ago, there come those among the Christians who still see the city as their rightful possession. While the modern day Muslim-majority Constantinopolitans never asked for liberation, their Christian ancestors cry out for Christendom to avenge them. Despite this however, the Orthodox Church of Constantinople has officially sided with their Arabian overlords; either implying that they see liberation a lost cause, or that they have been coerced into supporting the caliphate.

The Christian world now seeks to re-establish Christian domination in Thrace. Constantinople was once the heart of Christendom for many centuries before 1453. It remains the heart of the Orthodox Catholic Church despite Islamic rule, and is home to what had once been the greatest cathedral in Christendom; the Hagia Sophia, now the Ayasofya Grand Masjid. Despite its deep-seated importance in Christendom, it is now Muslim dominated; as over the centuries most of its Greek inhabitants have converted to Islam and now mostly speak Arabic, a testament to Islam's victory over Christianity.

To push back Islam from what they see as Christian lands, Christians embark upon this new crusade. Stretching across the Sahara all the way to the Zagros, Arabia stands a world power. And as the one true Caliphate, successor to the leadership of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH; the Abbasid Caliphate and Sultanate of Qahira extends its power and influence over the entire Islamic World. With almost 2 billion adherents of Islam and rapidly growing while Christian growth rates go stagnant, it seems unless something is done Christianity will be overtaken by Islam; and by extension the Western World by the Islamic World.

With its deep-seated importance in Christendom, Christians now seek to reconquer the capital they had lost so long ago. In this effort, a coalition of Christian nations have embarked upon a new crusade to re-establish Constantinople a bastion of Christendom. By the will of God, only the righteous shall emerge victorious. Will you be the liberator of Constantinople, or the defender of Al-Qistantinia?

The Holy State of Eurasia declares its support for the establishment of an Orthodox Catholic State in the Middle East and the Levant, with its capital in the Holy City of Jerusalem, with Constantinople being the business and civilian centre. Therefore, we join the League of Christian Nations in order to defeat Al-Qistantinia.

Al-Qistantinia is the rightful territory of the Abbasid Caliphate and Sultanate of Qahira. Those who seek a new crusade are only threatening world peace through their unjustified aggression. To discourage unruly aggression and invasion from Christian nations, Arabia has opted to block the Suez Canal from the trade of any nation that supports or joins the invasion of Arabian Thrace.

In an effort to prevent a new crusade from materializing, the Abbasid Caliphate and Sultanate of Qahira will deny access to the Suez Canal for any nation that does not recognize the sovereignty of the nation over Al-Qistantinia. The Suez of course, is one of the world's most important sea-level waterways; connecting the Mediterranean Sea to the Red Sea, and by extension the Indian Ocean. As majority of the Christian nations are situated in Europe, being denied access to the Suez will drastically increase the costs of trade for them; causing a major economic crisis in their countries. Access to the Suez is defended by all branches of the Jund Al-Khilafah, one of the world's most powerful militaries; making it difficult to force one's way into the Suez.

It would thus be unwise for the nations of Europe to go against Arabia, at the risk of losing access to the Suez. To preserve peace and sovereignty, aggressors against Arabia in regards to Al-Qistantinia will be denied access to the Suez Canal. One must act wisely.

The Holy State of Eurasia has formed the Coalition of Catholic States as a buffer against Arabian Imperialism.

The Coalition issues an ultimatum demanding that the Suez Canal be re-opened and handed over to the Global Catholic Authority, along with Constantinople and Jerusalem; either that, or Arabia can face war and destruction.

The Kingdom of Okhhotsk duly joins the Coalition of Catholic States and swears allegiance to the Papacy in Moskva. We also issue diplomatic condemnations of Arabia, and join the Holy State in issuing the ultimatum.

The Piikalan state will also put the Abbasid Caliphate under the Piikalan nuclear umbrella in exchange for the right to build a base in the Mediterranean to protect Piikalan shipping from any hostile actions by the Christian nations.

With the threat posed by the upstart nations of Christianity, and the people worried for their own welfare; an official statement from the head of government become necessary. The cameras start rolling, and the footage goes live. Millions watch as the man they elected into office, Sultan Amir Faiz, leans towards the mike to speak.

"In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists).

Just recently, some Christian nations have demanded our surrender of al-Qistantinia, al-Quds, and as-Suways. To that we say, eat my shoe! We, the Arabians, will never allow our sovereignty to be threatened, and we will fight to maintain it.

Arabia will not allow its sovereignty to be threatened. Al-Qistantinia, as-Suways, and al-Quds, all demanded by the Coalition of Catholic States; are the sovereign territory of the Abbasid Caliphate and Sultanate of Qahira. It is the home and livelihood of many Arabians, both Christians and Muslims. To surrender them to the coalition is to surrender part of our home to those with homes of their own, and that we will certainly never do.

Arabia has the firepower to back its sovereignty. The Jund al-Khilafah has 724,316 young men and women ready to defend their country, with millions more in the reserves. We have hundreds of ships and thousands of aircraft. And most importantly, we have nuclear weapons.

We will not give in to the demands of the Coalition of Catholic States. We will uphold and defend our sovereignty. If you of foreign lands want to take from us our homes, then come and take them! We will never cower and we will never surrender, for our only fate shall be victory or martyrdom!"

The speaker, His Majesty Vladimir II, did not wait for the applause to die down. "Do you want to see, the annihilation of the Arabic and Islamic threat, from our borders? To re-establish once again, a Holy State stretching from the Amur to Rabat, under the Watchful and Holy Eye of God?"

"Yes! Yes! Heil! Heil!" The crowd was thrown into a frenzy, and chanted furiously, as if they were in a trance.

"Do you want to see the Crucifix, tall and towering, over the roof of the Hagia Sophia, and the Imperial Flag flying over Riyadh, Cairo and Mecca?"

The applause that came nearly deafened the King. This time, he had to wait a few seconds before he could speak again.

For too long we have sat and watched as the Arabic nations spread their influence across the world, conquering and destroying any and all that came before them. Our ancestors learnt the hard way that Islam is a nation of imperialism --- the Byzantines, the Bulgarians, the Serbs, the Austrians, the Hungarians, the Crimeans.

But the time for sitting and waiting is now over. I, Holiness Vladimir II of the Kingdom of Okhhostk, along with Regent Taboritsky of The Holy State of Eurasia and any other nation that may wish to join us, declare war on The Abbasid Caliphate and Sultanate of Qahira, with blessing from God and Grand Patriarch Velimir Izybonifacy of the Church of Irkutsk.

Our reasons for the declaration of war are as follows:

i. That the Abbasid Caliphate has violated international law by blocking international access to the Suez Canal, a venture constructed not by the country itself but by other nations; this clause demands the concession of the Suez Canal to the Coalition of Catholic States.

ii. That The Abbasid Caliphate and Sultanate of Qahira currently occupy territory which the Coalition has claims on, including but not limited to Jerusalem, the territory of the Kingdom of Jerusalem; Constantinople, territory of the Kingdom of Byzantium; and Cairo, territory of the Kingdom of England.

iii. That The Abbasid Caliphate and Sultanate of Qahira represent a threat to the security of the Free World, in particular the Christian States of Eurasia. Therefore, a pre-emptive strike is necessary in order to cut down to size on the powers of the Caliphate, and ensure lasting peace and global Christian Hegemony.

The press gathers as the cameras start rolling. Footage goes live, and the entire country buzzes around the devices which they use to view the live broadcast. An elderly man in a suit leans over towards the microphone, briefly adjusting his glasses before opening his mouth to speak. It was the Abbasid Caliph himself, the leader of the entire Islamic World whom all Muslim leaders have sworn fealty to.

"In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

Threatening us with war, the Coalition of Catholic Nations has demanded of us unlawful terms. In response, we shall rightfully make clear our intentions. Because of the unjustified aggression posed by the Coalition of Catholic Nations, we shall declare and wage jihad; but in the event that peace becomes an option, we will graciously enter negotiations.

The Coalition of Catholic Nations has formed with hostile intent against Islam. We have not at all assailed them in any way, yet they have demanded the ceding of rightfully Islamic lands; including al-Qistantinia, al-Quds, and as-Suways. They have already declared war on the caliphate, making it openly clear that they are transgressors against Islam. The Qur'an tells us, "Permission to take up arms is hereby given to those who are attacked because they have been oppressed – Allah indeed has the power to grant them victory – those who have been unjustly driven from their homes, only because they said: 'Our Lord is Allah'"; and thus it shall be as Allah SWT has decreed.

We shall wage a just war. Allah SWT commands all who wage war in his name, "Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for Allah loveth not transgressors.". Though our enemies have declared that they will wage a total war, making it such that even civilians become a target; we will not put to unnecessary harm their civilians. We will not be the monsters our enemies slander us to be.

In the occasion that the enemy tires of war, we will be eager to consider peace. It has been decreed in the Qur'an, "And if they incline to peace, then incline to it [also] and rely upon Allah . Indeed, it is He who is the All Hearing, the All Knowing." Once they have offered us just terms, we shall eagerly accept. Just terms shall be terms in which our nation shall not give in to any of their demands, and they offer reparations for any damage or loss of life they have caused and.

In accordance with the decrees of the Qur'an, we declare a defensive jihad against the Coalition of Catholic Nations. Until peace becomes an option, we shall defend ourselves with the permissible means afforded to us. Let those who fight for the cause of Satan taste defeat at the hands of the righteous."

Several Buraq stealth multi-role aircraft take off from various airbases in Anatolia. Their designs incorporate stealth elements that make them incredibly difficult and almost impossible to track on radar. Tracking these aircraft would be like tracking a marble flying through the air. Their advanced radar and computer systems allow them to spot enemy aircraft far ahead of them before they themselves can even be detected. Each one of MRACs carries the explosive payload of a stealth bomber but retains the capability engage enemy aircraft in close to long range combat.

The station of MRACs target the surface ships of the Black Sea Fleet, with the goal of total annihilation. One squadron splits off from the main station fly towards Eurasia across the Black Sea, targeting various ports and naval bases; primarily those in Sevastopol and Novorossiysk. They are to avoid civilian casualties as much as possible, and are to render these ports and naval bases unusable. Any docked military vessels will also be valid targets, especially those consistent of the Black Sea Fleet.

A second station also takes off, with the intended goal of targeting the Eurasian airbases in proximity. Their primary targets are the enemy aircraft themselves, but they will also target the runway in order to prevent flights.

Imperial Edict No. 3,451

From the Office of the Papacy in Moskva, Signed by The Most Blessed and Divine Regent of All Eurasia

I, the Most Blessed and Divine Regent of All Eurasia, hereby issue Imperial Edict No. 3,451, in the Year of Our Lord 2020, the date 20th September. This edict concerns the situation with regards to naval bases at Sevastopol, Novorossivsk, Yalta and Sochi, as well as the current state of the Black Sea Fleet.

The edict will be split into 3 sections, first regarding the short term plans for the situation in the Black Sea Fleet, second regarding the short term plans for the naval bases in Southern Eurasia, and lastly a Generalplan for the Anatolian Front.


Section I

i. The Black Sea Fleet, or what remains of it following the catastrophic attack by enemy forces, is to be dismantled. Any frigates, guided missile cruisers and submarines are to be evacuated immediately within the next 3 days. Any heavy cruisers or destroyers remaining within the fleet are to be decommissioned with immediate effect; scrap metal is to be reclaimed from them for the purposes of producing more war materials.

ii. All personnel within the Black Sea Fleet are to be re-assigned. Primary focus would be on re-assignment to the Land Forces, as the War Strategy the High Command wishes to go with would make the use of the Navy redundant.

iii. The current Admiral of the Black Sea Fleet, Timur Korolev, is to be tried via a military tribunal for negligence and inability to act in a manner expected of an Admiral during an enemy attack.


Section II

i. All air, naval or land bases around the Black Sea are to be evacuated to the North and await instructions. Any and all personnel, equipment, documents and other materials necessary to the war effort currently within these bases must be evacuated with immediate effect. Individual base commanders would be responsible for their own bases.

ii. The 14th Fighter Division of The Eurasian Air Force is to provide the necessary air support while the bases are being pulled from their current locations.

iii. The remains of any such bases after the evacuation are to be demolished, including any hangars, ports, and office buildings


Section III

i. Given the superiority of the armed forces of the enemy, fighting a direct ground, air or naval war with them would be unfeasible and most likely result in our defeat. Therefore, the High Command has established that a protracted war of attrition taking place within the Urals would be the most effective method of ensuring the enemy is withered of resources.

ii. To this end, a mass evacuation of any remaining government personnel in the Western and South-Western parts of Eurasia has already been put in effect. The new capital city has been designated as the city of Omsk. A mass evacuation of factories and heavy industries necessary for production of war materials has already been conducted in accordance with Imperial Edict 3,239, dated to 2 years prior. However, a second wave of evacuation will be necessary as the current industries within the East have been deemed to be insufficient for a protracted war of attrition as currently planned.

iii. Therefore, any remaining state factories in cities West of the Urals must be moved East and to the North, with all their personnel. All Scientific institutions in Moskva and Petrograd must also be moved West, with all members.

iv. A general scorched Earth policy is to follow in tandem with this second evacuation. Any and all farms West of the Urals must have their stored and harvested grain collected with immediate effect, along with all livestock. Farmers are to be evacuated as well. Any remaining farmland in the West must be burnt and made infertile.

v. Any mines, oilfields or natural resource extracting operations within the West and Southwest, such as the oil-extraction operations in the Northern Caucuses, must be halted and have their current collected stockpiles sent North and Eastwards. Any remaining infrastructure within these natural resource extraction operations must then be destroyed. Oil-fields must be set on fire to prevent the enemy from using them.

vi. A general evacuation of civilians would be necessary in this case. Priority must be given to civilians within major industrial centers like Moskva and Petrograd. Soldiers are to be transported alongside civilians to prevent them from attack by the enemy. If they are attacked by the enemy, it would most likely result in collateral damage, which can be further used for war and propaganda purposes.

vii. All able bodied males above the age of 20 are to be either conscripted into the military, or employed to work in state factories or farms for production of materials necessary for the war effort.

viii. The main focus of the Armed Forces would be to ensure safe retreat and evacuation, until such a time that all such plans are fulfilled.

ix. In the eventuality that none of the aforementioned plans are successful, we may still be able to hold off indefinitely with the current resources at our disposal in the North and East; however, any offensive measures would be impossible.

x. In the case of successful evacuation of all important personnel, resources, equipment and civilians, remaining pieces of infrastructure within the Western and Southwestern parts of the nation are to be destroyed, including railway lines, empty warehouses, and other military or civilian infrastructure deemed as of use to the enemy.

The State of Burma issues a diplomatic protest with regards to the Caliphate blocking of the Suez. If such a blockade is not repealed within the next 24 hours, we may consider joining Eurasia in an attempt to stop this act of Imperialism.

Somewhere in the Mediterranean coast, the Piikalan whaling ship the Pua Kai:

The large factory ship slowly puttered along on the horizon. With her large hull sitting deep down in the water. Her large grey painted hull and supper structure standing out on the horizon. When suddenly her captain started to sea streaks of bubbles on the horizon heading towards the Pua kai. So he began to turn the large ship quickly, but her large size and deep draft weighed down with whale kept her from turning. When suddenly the torpedos hit the boat, the Pua Kai split in two and started to sink. Taking all her hands down with her leaving only a slick of whale oil in the ocean.

Meanwhile in point Nemo in the Pacific Ocean:

A small Piikalan frigate bobbed in the waves her deck covered in cameras and reporters who sat waiting eagerly. Their cameras and eyes trained on the horizon as a counter started to count down from ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one. Suddenly a massive red streak could be seen across the horizon. Then the ocean surface was suddenly cut away, creating a large crater into the sea, followed by an enormous wave that threw that frigate into the air nearly capsizing the Catamaran.

Later that day on Piikalan national news radio:

"Hello and welcome, everyone to the Piikalan new at ten. Today we have tragic news from the Mediterranean ocean where we have learned that torpedos sank one of our nations whaling vessels the Pua Kai. With no survivors from the attack. Now can we have a moment of silence for those who died and their families." A minute later. "Thank you, my fellow countrymen, for your moment of silence. Now ladies and gentlemen, we currently think that the Catholic states are responsible for this unprovoked attack with information we received from the War pagoda. With this information, the Diet has now just declared the mobilization of groups, Mahimahi, Bushi, Kai, Hashi, Maka, and Sato and asked them to report to their mobilization stations immediately. They also have now declared war upon the nations that make up the Coalition of Catholic States. Now better news. Today our glorious state has just tested a new weapon in the south Pacific. We have learned that the weapon in a satellite that launches rods made of a high-density metal with the same amount of force as a small nuclear bomb. Now onto other news."
