[ABANDONED] Protecting the Legalization of Free Trade

Postby United Engiresco » Sat Sep 12, 2020 7:22 pm

The World Assembly,

ACKNOWLEDGING that many member nations restrict access to other countries, in which destroys transportation and commerce to such nations,

EVALUATING the damage caused by nations with closed borders and tight governments, which further restricts the values of which those nations' goods and services are worth states:

1. The nations of which threatened by a cut off of trade,
• Including those at war, in embargoes, and tarifs with others,
• Those not protected by international law that serves them in a positive manner,
2. Many of the countries blocked from access to the sea, rivers, and lakes that are vitally important to their survival, granting the access to restricted areas of other nations for the benefit of said nation,

REDUCES the tension between nations that are not on speaking terms with another, and further vitalizes free trade and commerce throughout the world.

So why did you submit it, then (much as I support the principle behind this)?

REDUCES the tension between nations that are not on speaking terms with another, and further vitalizes free trade and commerce throughout the world.

The World Assembly generally works in terms of "how" to do something; it broadly does not simply assert that some nebulous goal will happen, without providing concrete steps to bring it about.

I will edit the proposal before I post it again, as I do intend to get it to the voting floor eventually. Thanks for the advice.

Please read the rules first. Your proposal is illegal, for doing nothing.

This draft won't be ready anytime soon unless you commit to it. Drafting resolutions usually takes weeks, maybe months before they get submitted.

Your proposal does nothing.
Also, free trade? With all due respect, we would rather not trade with you, as we maintain an isolationist foreign policy.

OOC: Why do you randomly list nations finding themselves under different circumstances and then do nothing with that list? Also, nations that are not on speaking terms with one another, are unlikely to want to trade with one another to begin with.
