Yes, I'm sure many people will simply give me all their reasearch for free. Since my people don't have computers, we can't do advanced reasearch, so I guess people will just give me their technology on a silver plate.

"If you'd care to visit the Araraukarian office in this same building, I'm sure we can print things out for you as soon as we've figured out your starting level of technology. Most Araraukarian solutions for recycling and waste reduction as well as greener technology in general, are easily scalable up and down for various types of technological access and sizes of communities. You would need to do the work yourself, but we can certainly provide you with the information you'll need. All of it is in public domain in Araraukar, so there are no patents or such getting in the way either."

OOC: They might not share you the tech for easy biological recycling of certain kinds of plastics (based on RL possibilities!), because it's a major industry; non-member nations on the same planet pay Araraukar to take their plastic waste, and then they buy the plastic precursors that are the end result of the processing, to make the plastic items themselves. Araraukar is getting paid twice and due to biological processing, very little pollution happens.

OOC: Not voting for because of the General Fund thing (though saying a nation "unable" when actually it's "unwilling" sounds more like creative compliance than regular compliance), and the requirement to create further recycling bins, but not voting against either because of category.

Apologies for absences, non-COVID health issues leave me with very little energy at times.

“We agree that recycling is a very important issue that must be addressed by the General Assembly and by all Nations.

We also find valid the concerns previously expressed by other Nations regarding the abusive and indiscriminate use of the WA General Fund. However, we also understand that GA #17 -which created the Fund- "Establishes the WA General Fund, which shall be the central source for the funding of WA operations, and the monies from which shall be spent only on maintaining the administration of the WA and missions established by a vote of the World Assembly", as well as established mechanisms to control disbursements and the way they are spent.

On the other hand, this Delegation would have liked some definition of the "certain types of waste" referred to in Clause 8, which we see as a weakness when implementing it -and which was also the object of observations by the Delegation of Araraukar-.

However, we believe that the approval of this Resolution is a progress in this matter, so we will vote in favor“.

Mr. Carlos Alejandro Herrera.
Permanent Representative of the Federal Republic of Eluney to the World Assembly.

5. Requires member nations to create initiatives, through penalisation or incentives, to:

Should have used too instead of to at the end that clause. Grammatical error.

Too is an adverb that can mean “excessively” or “also.”

"To" introduces an infinitive here, the resolution is correct in its employ of parallel structure.

Just as you say that, someone's already trying to repeal it.

It's illegal - it's an attempt at amendment

It looks illegal though. Not a mod or whatever, but I’m pretty sure you can’t amend.

Yeah, that's true. At least the nation didn't know how the WA works, so we've got that going for us.
