Why would it be the mark?

It will be used to control people even if that isn't the purpose now. Technology can be hacked.

1. It might (even if the possibility is high).
2. That doesn't make it the mark of the beast. The evil would be coming from corrupt corporations and/or governments, not a near-omnipotent extra dimensional entity.

I am cautious of this. IF (and that is a big if) it could do what it is saying, then I think it should be looked into. But I would reserve it for those it is necessary for. Also I would want it to be done by someone who is not Elon Musk because I do not trust him.

People only want an artificial intelligence to solve very complicated but also niche problems for them. Why would a physicist concerned with cosmology waste precious AI resources on a machine that's also a great conversationalist? Specialization saves us again!

And also why anyone would waste so much effort and resources on developing not only an AI, but one capable of self-awareness, to put in control of nuclear weapons would also be beyond me.

We all know this will be for those that can afford it and are considered to be part of a certain class of society. Thus, there will be two sets of people in the future. Those connected and thus live well and those that are unconnected and that just survive.

Dude our entire nuclear arsenal is being run on 1980s computer tech. It hasn’t changed since it was installed. The entire system is designed with as many failsafes as physically possible. Giving AI control of the system would be impossible because the computers are linked to anything and would go against the entire failsafe idea
