Following an auspicious return of the Mike Sarzo Memorial Trophy as hosted by Sarzonia, the Incorporated Football Federation now proposes a new competition for players over 35 years old*.
This competition will initially be hosted by and played within the confines of Sarzonia and Sarzonian held territory and is available to any team that chooses to send a team to the competition.
For RP purposes, five substitutes plus a goalkeeper substitution will be allowed instead of three plus a keeper. Also, the Vilitan mobile scorinator will be used for this tournament. There may be the potential for a ranking system that would be used if there is enough interest.
The format will depend on the number of signups, but the idea is to have a double round robin to create additional RP opportunities. Since this specific competition is new, RP will play a huge role in the competition.
Tiebreakers will go as follows:
1. H2H points
2. H2H goal differential
3. Overall goal differential
4. Total goals scored for
5. IC: coin flip (OOC: RP bonus)
*35 is the age being used for this tournament, as it will be modeled after the RL World Cup of Masters in terms of age requirements. NS being what it is, I'll allow teams to use an age that is equivalent in how they mark time.
