WELCOME TO MILANO!
We're so happy to have you.

OOC THREADHOST BIDWV83 IN ST. CHRISTOPHER
ALL THE SONGS (NO OPENING/INTERVAL) — THE LISTENALONG PLAYLIST

Inside the arena, people are beginning to file in, and taking their places. From the front of the stage, there begins to be rows of spectators filling up quickly, surrounded by the congregations of people in the upper seating areas of the arena. As all twenty five thousand people are starting to be in attendance, and behind the scenes, the technical team is preparing for the show to begin. The mood all day had been one of increasing excitement and tension, knowing all the work that had gone on for months prior to the event which was currently about to be taking place in a few minutes. All around the city, the many different buses and train-lines had been packed full of people all day, with both Worldvision fans and the ordinary citizens of Milano, who had been observing the build-up for quite a while now. In truth, there was not one person who was unhappy with the city hosting the contest, in fact, as Twitter will tell you, this contest has truly brought everyone together regardless of the sometimes major differences, for just one evening of pure music and fire from these performers who had come from the far lands of the world and joined together right here.

The executive producer of Worldvision 84, Marc Rimachi, was currently hyping up the audience, as the five minute countdown had begun on the giant LED screen at the back of the stage. He informed them that this would be a very technically intricate show, and encouraged them to interact with each act. For some, he hinted that they should lift their phone flashlights, and help create the perfect atmosphere for the artists, and they already know this. The hardcore fans now knew every song by heart, and many, within their own networks had come up with an idea of which performances they should lift their lights for, which they should get out of their seats and dance like crazy, and even which ones they would end up crying to by the end of the night. The spirit was really all around MICA arena this evening, and as the time slowly ticked away on the countdown behind Marc, there was just sixty seconds left, before the show would begin. As a collective, twenty-five thousand people screamed out each number in amazing anticipation, and as the number finally flashed 0, an explosion of golden confetti fell down, and across all the screens "WELCOME TO MILANO!" appeared in purple. Then everything was black again. On people's screens at home across the world, the Worldvision theme would begin playing alongside the familiar graphics that appeared every contest.

Image

Now, the Worldvision theme had ended and screens all across the world once again faded into darkness before reappearing in a glorious, glistening light, which completely devoured everything in sight. Then as the camera panned down from its top vision, the sun could be seen going off upwards on the screen, and the morning light of Milano was seen, and you could see the huge cathedral in the centre, with rows upon rows of architecture, and people surrounding the entire scene everywhere. It slowly made it's way down to a ground view, as the orchestral arrangement in the back made increased in intensity. As it was on the ground it seemed to move like a normal person, almost walking along, as it would turn occasionally to the side, and you would see the people of the city stop to smile and wave at the camera. Soon though, it would pick up speed, and almost like a timelapse, the greatest views and landmarks of Milano flashed up, before slowly settling down into a bustling street market, in the western area.

As the orchestra faded into nothing, a man is seen strolling up towards the camera - he has a trumpet in his hand. Behind him, a band of people, all rather normal looking and dressed very casually. They all are carrying all different types of instruments, all belonging to the brass family. Suddenly, a funky beat, which appears to come from this congregation of people on the streets in this market, begins to play, and the camera swerves around to the left, and another group of people show off their array of percussion instruments. All this simply displays the cultural and daily integration of music into the city, and this is even more exemplified by the crowds of people who now come and surround the view, all dancing. Mothers with their childrens, and groups of middle-aged men all gathering around to enjoy a familiar arrangement of Besenian street music. A 360 shot of the whole scene simply shows off the tight-knit community of Milano, and especially the commercial corridors of the city, as the several small businesses and markets come together for this moment to soak in this music.

As the final slams of the drum hit, and the streets almost freeze up with happiness, one of the drummers comes and with his hand swipes the camera up with a slap motion, and it cuts back into MICA arena, where a stagnant blue light shines all over the 25,000 people.

MILA SARENDI & BARBIE VIOLET | "WE ARE FREE"

I needed more than a quick vibe
I want to party until I see the lights
You wanted something to get by
Baby sometimes, you’ve got to let it all fall
We’re going all the way
Forget yesterday
They’ll never take away
Our life, we are free

Take down the shots, honey ‘cause tonight
We are free, free, free
We are free, free, free
There is no cost for a little love for now
We are free, free, free
We are free.
We are free
Mmm, oh yeah, baby
We are free

I always thought that no-one gave a damn
Oh, I was so right
So now I just do whatever I want
Who’s ‘gon take my pride?
Baby, yeah
Touch up on my body
(We’re going all the way)
If you want a taste
(Forget yesterday)
Just know I’m a little intense
(We’re going all the way)
Have the time of our lives, yeah

Take down the shots, honey ‘cause tonight
We are free, free, free
We are free, free, free
There is no cost for a little love for now
We are free, free, free
We are free.
We are free!
We are free, oh yeah
Rain on me
Rain on me

If the cops come around, we don’t know nobody
We are free
We’ll make ‘em go like real loud, babe
We are free, oh

Drinks up to the sky
I’ll be your lover, only for tonight
We are free, yes baby
Drinks up to the sky
I’ll be your lover, only for tonight
We are free

Take down the shots, honey ‘cause tonight
We are free, free, free
We are free, free, free
There is no cost for a little love for now
We are free, free, free
We are free.
If the cops come around, we don’t know nobody
We are free
We’ll make ‘em go like real loud, babe
We are free.

As Mila and Barbie completed their performance, the lights quickly shifted from the intense purple and pink battle that was previously flying around the arena, and moved into a more neutral blue and white shade, as the dancers and the set pieces were rushed off the stage. To cover up from this, the camera zoomed around and captured the elated faces of several different audience members, before centralising again, as the dance beat kicked in, and across the central walkway of the main stage the two moving pieces at either side cleared way for the performers of each nation to come through. The lights moved more towards the entrance at the very back, and the first artist came forward. The colours of Estana and Thaos flashed all over on every single screen in arena, as BLANK walked upwards on the stage, doing a little dance to the song that was playing. She quickly was moved off down the walkway on the left side though, and as the second performer came onto the stage, she interacted with the audience, reaching out to hold hands with some and rushing to take selfies with others...

This will be updated as we get more nations!

As the parade of nations ended, and the delegations all were now either backstage preparing or in the green room at the back of the venue, lit up with shining pink pods, the cameras all settled down onto the centre of the stage as the two hosts of the evening came out. Romeo, in his fancy tuxedo attire, and Astrid, in a purple gown which didn't quite touch the ground but hugged around her body tightly, showing off her curves. They both looked out into the audience, which was screaming in excitement. Glancing to each other, they both nodded simultaneously and Romeo began to speak.

ROMEO: What a crowd!

The crowd indeed roared at this, and got even louder as he motioned them to do it more.

ROMEO: I'm so excited right now, because I don't know about you, but I think we're hosting the Worldvision Song Contest.

He glances to Astrid, who smiles and then begins to speak.

ASTRID: And what a way to start! We want to welcome every delegation around the world for just one night of music, and partyyyy! Speaking of party, I'm sure you want to see the performances of tonight - so let me just get this out of the way.

She gestures backstage, and Romeo laughs, as disco music begins to play and tons of confetti comes down like earlier, and the lights swirl around the two of them on the stage, like disco balls. Underneath the loudness now, Romeo puts his arm around Astrid as they cheer together...

BOTH: LET THE WORLDVISION SONG CONTEST BEGIN!

FAUNTENHEDDO
Weakback - Cookie
Tune: Kabbage Boy - Girlfriend (As made famous in the video game Brutal Legend)

Performance:

"Do we got any Weakback fans right here in Besen!" the lead singer of the band said, as he was wearing a rather pretentious outfit that almost looked like something you see from the scene culture. However, as the band was prepping up, even as the postcard was shown, the audience didn't seem to know them, along with the fact that no one from Fauntenheddo had came to WorldVision to watch them live.

"Are you sure?" the singer said again, where there was still no response from the audience. "You guys want to listen to some tween music? If not, we can just go home, you know." Again, crickets. "Alright, that's the type of response we like to hear! Start it!"

The performance starts with an opening guitar riff. The audience gets interested. Things appeared to be looking up to them, until... in a nasally voice into a microphone that the band brought with them that was already producing tons of feedback...

OOoooooooo...

Cue a record scratch from some guy on a turntable on stage.

Cookie!

Oh this is going to suck.. Doesn't help that the singer has a really nasally voice, also.

I really want a damn cookie now
I eat them because they my cash cow
I eat as much cookies as I can allow
I'm feeling sick to my gut

From the looks of it, the song is playing off of some unnecessary grunge riffs, which is ironic because the feel of the music is just that. Corporate grunge. Washed-out and lifeless.

White to black, up back
Eating up my snack (That's right)
With chocolate in small chips
So solid I can get it to crack (It's Weakback, man!)

Then the lyrics delve into random gibberish and mumbling.

Out the kitchen
Get wet in the mud from the rain
Eating mud cookies
Look in the clouds to see a plane
Better than red cake
Boot with a snake
Got myself a nice fork and knife
Ate it like it's prime steak

The chorus occurs again, where for some reason, it sounds more boring and worse than the first one.

Ooh
Cookie, I really want a damn cookie now
I eat them because they my cash cow
I eat as much cookies as I can allow
I'm feeling sick to my gut

Then comes an emotional moment in the song, where due to the way the singer is singing out the lyrics and due to the faulty equipment that the band should along, instead of using the equipment provided for them, the words of the lyrics come off as a squeal.

My gold bling
To cling
My cash flying

Then, the singer just mocks the audience, because the band is richer than them.

My gold bling
Along with my cash is what I cling
I see all you poor people to I sing
Richer than you so my cash to fling
You'll as my cash cow so I'm your golden king

More singing, where the song just drags on and on..

Me and my cookie is my own thing
Awkward because what rhymes with thing?
Only get paid to do our thing
But singing about cookies is our thing
Now I feeling like I
Really feels like I must
Puke

Suddenly, out of nowhere, the singer pukes out vomit all over the front of the stage and some in front of the audience, almost missing them. This moment immediately disgusts those watching the band.

Ooh
Cookie, I really want a damn cookie now
I eat them because they my cash cow
I eat as much cookies as I can allow, allow, allow, allow

After some more obnixious record scratching, the DJ lets the song finish up.

Ooh
Cookie, I really want a damn cookie now
I eat them because they my cash cow
I eat as much cookies as I can allow
I'm feeling sick to my gut

Before the song ends, the singer mutters this.

(It's Weakback, man!)

"Uhhhh... Tim? Don't we have like 2 minutes left..." the bassist immediately said, where there was just complete silence from the audience. "Uhhh...shit. We need to think up of something. Wait, I know!" the singer thought of something, where he decided to have the band engage in this gem. "Alright, so since we don't want to bore you guys out in the audience, we are going to use the rest of the time by doing some hot and popular Nitefort dances. Cue the music!"

In a cringy act of sheer what the actual f@#$ moment, all of the band members start doing random dance moves to the tune of some random video game megacorp music, where they weren't even being in tune and were off-synch. Who didn't recognize such amazing dance moves like the Floss, the Flux, or even the L over the Forehead?

Some of the audience members start to boo, obviously. At the Main Nation Ministry's audience section, the Leader, who was visiting to view his own performance that he was a part of, immediately grows enraged. The soldier sitting next to him gives him a rock, which the Leader knew what to do. As all of this happened, the singer suddenly had his head between a rock and a hard place literally by the Leader of Main Nation Ministry chucking a rock at the singer's head. That was when the band immediately started to left, but not before the singer flipped off the audience and viewers at home.

A representative from Fauntenheddo immediately popped up to calm the annoyed crowds. "Ahem! This is a representative from Fauntenheddo speaking to let you know that what has just happened will be under review by some of the country's highest and elite. Also, we will be giving out some free Weakback merch for anyone who is interested in the band-"
"YOU JUST A CORPORATE SLAVE TO THE CORRUPT!" the Leader immediately yelled to the representative, where some of his soldiers continued to boo. "Uhhh..." the representative started to swear. "Ok, I admit. The band sucks. I just getting paid." Upon everyone hearing that, there was some clapping as the representative was forced to show some honesty.

"Now to let Estogium get prepared!"

03 | Estogium | Marco Pavić - If You Wanna

Postby Estogium » Mon Aug 17, 2020 1:57 pm

#03 ESTOGIUM
Marco Pavić - "If You Wanna"
Tune : John Newman - "Come and Get It"
Language: English
Duration: 3:04

Marco Pavić set to represent Estogium in Milano: The young 23 year old is set to represent Estogium at the upcoming WorldVision Song Contest after Estogium's crushing right hand placement in Llalta. The broadcaster is hoping to do much better in Besen.

Marco is set to represent Estogium at the WorldVision Song Contest in Besen, Milano but you might be wondering where his name comes from - it doesn't particularly sound very Estogian, does it? Well that's because it's not! While Marco, by blood, is from Estogium, at the age of 2 years old, Marco was adopted by a rich couple from Estogium who gave him the name Marco, which came from the English given name Mark and their surname, Pavić hence why he was called that. Marco grew up right in the middle of Polumisec, a city located in Izmedu. While Marco had felt Izmeduan due to his upbringing and his rather patriotic Izmeduan parents (you'd think that those parents would've adopted an Izmeduan baby), Marco still felt a bit out of place due to his tanned skin, even more tanned than the sunkissed Izmeduans. Marco was never initially told where he had roots from and so while he thought that he looked different - especially compared his parents - he never inquired about it until he was sat down by his parents one Sunday evening and told about his background. He was told that he was adopted, which was something that he could figure out for himself. He was interested in finding out where he had routes from as his parents continued to speak, he found it that it was from ABEN where his roots lay, with his him having three Estogian grand parents and the fourth from Britonisea. He was 15 when he was told, and while he did initially take it pretty well, Marco did go through an identity crisis and he wondered how he would feel in the country in which he was from. Coming home after an exam that he took, he cried in the lap of his father, begging him to give him more information about his background. His father offered to take him personally to the Estogian city of Palisadoes where he was adopted.

After landing in Estogium, he was greeted by a warm breeze which - while it was something reminiscent to Izmedu - had a slight chill to it, one that he wasn't much used to. The country was yet to warm up for the summer with it being an unusually cold summer for the country. He knew that Estogium was going to be colder than Izmedu but didn't expect it to be this cold. As he looked around, Marco could see a very multi-cultral populace, with many of the people he could see having a similar skin tone to him but also skin tones that were much lighter and darker than his own. He smiled as it felt comfortable with what he saw. A tear shed down his face as he continued to walk out of the airport and through the bustling beachside city of Palisadoes. While Palisadoes was just as picturesque as Polumisec, he felt as though that Estogium came across quite cold, with people rushing and bustling from point A to B with little consideration for others. That indeed was the culture in ABEN unless you go to one of those rural towns no one cares about. As Marco spent more and more time in Estogium, however, he started to fall in love with the country and felt very passionate about being Estogian - it was something that he started to feel very proud about.

Image
Marco at the Press Release in Estogium: Marco's song was revealed at a Song Release party organised by RVC. "If You Wanna" reached the Estogium Top 20 days after it was released.

After he continued studying in Izmedu upon return to the country, when it came time for him to move onto higher education he debated on studying at a University not just in Izmedu but also abroad, with some on his list being the University of Telm and some of the top universities in Estogium, including one in Palisadoes where he has heritage from. His Izmeduan parents weren't particularly a fan of him moving away, especially to Estogium but as he received confirmation that he had a place at the University of Palisadoes to study Music Technology & Live Entertainment Management, his parents couldn't resist letting their son follow his journey and learning more about the country that he was from - they couldn't hold him back for much longer. Nervously, Marco accepted the University offer and off he was to Estogium where he would begin a new path in his life.

Upon arriving at Estogium with his family on the first day he had to move in, Marco was curious about the languages that he saw. With the whole of ABEN having three official languages; Britonish, English and French, there were some things that he couldn't read of road signs or names of restaurants that he couldn't understand. His father told him that not every Estogian does know what everything means, but in all, Estogium is quite a trilingual country and it would be good to dabble in both Britonish and French, with Marco already knowing Izmeduan and English. Weeks went by and his parents had returned to Izmedu meaning that he was alone in a country he was getting to know. He started joining a load of societies, but also took French and Britonish classes on the side, hoping that he could gain a qualification in both those languages and go on to incorporate those in his studies. Marco met a tonne of friends from the societies that he joined and the classes that he took, with many of his friends coming from all across ABEN, but also other countries that send their students to study in ABEN such as from Togonistan, Darkmania and even as far as Achaean Republic. Never before had he been surrounded by so many different cultures, but for him, he started to feel as though while he wanted to hold onto his Izmeduan culture, he was finding himself more and more comfortable with his Estogian heritage. He felt it was strange not being asked where he was actually from, a question he did receive a few times in Izmedu when he was growing up. People just assumed that he was Estogian and for him, that felt like a relief.

Initially, Marco had a visa which allowed him to stay in ABEN freely throughout his education - which included off periods and also a few months after his final date officially at University which the ABEN authorities said is time for people to decide whether they wanted to apply for a work VISA or return to their home countries. Though, Marco thought that since he was Estogian he should be able to stay in Estogium without having to apply for any visas. The Esto-Izmeduan went to the place where he was adopted without speaking to his parents about it, where he asked about his identity, providing evidence and DNA to prove he was who he said he was. He was told that his given name was Mark, but was never told about his birth parents names or occupations, or even whether they still were alive or not. He told himself that his Izmeduan parents were his actual parents, he didn't want things to get messy. It was confirmed to Marco that he was definitely Estogian and that he had the right to have Estogian ABEN citizenship as not only did he have both Estogian and Britonish blood, but he was also born in Estogium - which was key to him receiving full national citizenship. Estogium (and other nations of the country) wouldn't usually give national citizenship to someone who wasn't born in their country, rather opting for a ABEN citizenship approach, which means that they'd be allowed to live and work in the country, but might have to pay more for healthcare, banned from extradition, amongst not receiving other benefits national (Estogian, Britonish or Nightomese) citizenship gives. Marco had thought about applying for ABEN citizenship, but as he was told that he was eligible for Estogian citizenship (but not Britonish), he decided to go ahead with that. After a while he got what he wanted and he could stay in Estogium indefinitely - he was Estogian and very proud to be so. He waited a while to tell his parents and when he told them, they seemed to take the news not as well as he had hoped, with the parents saying that they felt betrayed by Marco's actions. After studying, Marco went back to Izmedu, with both his Estogian and Izmeduan passports in his hands to sort the situation out with his parents.

Marco at the Red Carpet in Milano: Marco snaps a photo with a fan in Milano at the Red Carpet after his rehearsals. He was pleased with his performance at the Rehearsals and couldn't wait for the live show...

After spending a year with a degree doing not much with it in Izmedu, he eventually went back to Estogium after looking for jobs online and getting a good one - quite a high sum for his first job within the industry he studied in. As he returned to Estogium, he met up with some of his friends during the time of a WorldVision Song Contest which was held in The Estograd - the first time that Estogium had hosted the Contest. He was quite familiar with the World Hit Festival due to the amount of times that Izmedu had hosted the Festival, especially in Polumisec which at the time attracted a lot of tourists, but he wasn't necessarily interested in the WorldVision Song Contest. He did tune in to watch the highly popular national final Izmepisma but wouldn't really go on to watch the winner at the WorldVision Song Contest. His friends which had not seen him in quite some time invited him to come and watch the 73rd WorldVision Song Contest where he watched the ode to Estogium. At the time, it was a close call between Britonisea and his country, Izmedu with the pair of them topping the scoreboard. "This is like the World Hit Festival..." he commented as he was used to seeing Britonisea and Izmedu battle it out for who would win the gold medal. As Britonisea eventually won, he walked away from the Contest feeling inspired... "What if....no! I couldn't possibly represent Izmedu. I couldn't go through Izmepisma... Maybe Estogium... Would they accept me? Am I Estogian enough for RVC?" After some time, he decided that he would submit a song to the Estogian broadcaster as he preferred the internal system used in Estogium. He didn't think much would come from it. He thought he was a good singer and his life did revolve around music, but whether that would get him anywhere he wasn't sure.

Marco didn't receive any news from RVC for a long time until he received a call from someone from the broadcaster that asked him to come in. At first he was confused at this request as he forgot that he submitted a song and was working on other material while also being busy at his workplace. From Palisadoes, he took a journey to the capital of Estogium where RVC said that they were interested in sending Marco to the WorldVision Song Contest, especially due to his background and his likability which they said shone through the screen when he sent a video of him singing his song. After thinking about it, he accepted the offer and that was it - he would be the Estogian representative at an upcoming edition of the WorldVision Song Contest. While he didn't know which, that didn't stop him working to develop his song until eventually he received another call saying... it's time. RVC organised a release party for Marco and his song, with it doing particularly well in the charts, reaching 11th after the first charts update, before breaking the top ten in the weeks afterwards. For the first time in a very long time, the WorldVision song for Estogium has reacted a buzz for the nation - it is hoped that Marco would provide Estogium with all the success it certainly needs in what is a very rough patch for the country.

Marco performs 3rd at the WorldVision Song Contest, a rather early slot for the nation. He took the trip to Besen ready to represent his country, Estogium. Izmedu was still in his heart and he was proper excited to meet not only the Izmeduan representative, but all representatives from all around the multiverse. He had the whole of Estogium on his shoulders but he didn't mind it - he loved the pressure.

It was time for him to perform his song. He never thought that he was going to sing for any country other than Izmedu but his love for his home country was so much, he felt the need to at least try to represent his country. He had received a lot of positive attention from the Estogian press and fans of the WorldVision Song Contest that believed that he could do very well here in Besen. The audience applauded him as the arena went dark in preparation for this performance. There was a moment of silence in the arena before the whistles came in. As they did, the audience in Milano cheered as the cameras swooped in from beneath him, blurry. As the image became clearer you could see Marco with his pin-striped shirt, slacks and a cool cap which fit with the style of song that he was singing. He was joined on the stage by two male dancers which were standing behind him, off to each side. The microphone shape was retro looking, with the camera having a slight hue to it with further added to the retro theme that Marco was going for. After the whistling, he sexily looked at the camera as the two men touched him on the shoulder - all looking absolutely fine on camera.

*whistles*
I have lost my mind
All because of you, of you
Cast you spell on me
I'm playing to your tune oh

The thing is I don't mind it, mind it, mind it
I love when you control me, love it, love it
You got me on my toes girl, on my, toes girl
Oh oh babe, oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah!

As they hit the first pre-chorus of the song where they started to repeat some of the lyrics. The three men took a step in a 45 degree angle to their right, looking down as they moved with one foot and then looking back up as they moved with the second foot. Occasionally, Marco would look up to the camera, with the camera cutting to a close up of his as he did this - with his handsome charm radiating through the screen, you could just tell that the man had that ABEN blood in him. As he got to the final line of the pre-chorus, he turned back to the front before slightly bending and singing the series of "oh yeah" before we hit the chorus. As the chorus came in, there was a shot further away in the arena which quickly zoomed in from afar which showed the stage in full.

If you wanna be the boss, you can be
If you wanna wear the trousers? Wear 'em.
Whatever you wanna do, just do it
'cuz whatever you decide, I'm with you

If you wanna be mine girl, just tell me
If you wanna lay the law down, lay 'em
I'll do whatever you want now baby
Whatever is on your mind girl, say it.

As he sang through the chorus along with the two men who both wore microphones on them, he started to really feel the lyrics that he was singing as he faced the front out towards the audience. Marco bobbed his shoulders along with the men that were behind him, and with each time that the man bobbed his shoulders twice, he was slide his whole body off to the left - the opposite direction that he moved to before just so that he could get back into the middle of the stage. The screens behind him were striped, and depending on the cameras that were used, sometimes the stripes looked as though they aligned with his shirt that he was wearing.

Never did I ever think that
I'd fall for someone, someone
But since you've got into my life, honey
You've given me new... new life

The thing is I don't mind it, mind it, mind it
I love when you control me, love it, love it
You got me on my toes girl, on my, toes girl
Oh oh babe, oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah!

We then went back to the pre-chorus of the song, with Marco alone on the stage with the lights just focusing on him. He continued to look fabulous into the cameras, as the LED screens behind him continue to show a striped display, moving in a clockwise motion now as opposed to up and down and sideways like how it was doing it before. As he sung certain lyrics such as "love it, love it, love it", he slightly lowered his eyebrows and bit his lips, making many people out there swoon at his charm. At the end of the pre-chorus, Marco belted the final line before we went back into an explosive chorus.

If you wanna be the boss, you can be
If you wanna wear the trousers? Wear 'em.
Whatever you wanna do, just do it
'cuz whatever you decide, I'm with you

If you wanna be mine girl, just tell me
If you wanna lay the law down, lay 'em
I'll do whatever you want now baby
Whatever is on your mind girl, say it.

As the chorus came back in, the first thing we could see was one of his dancers forward flipping themselves off a contraption that was on the side of the stage. Eventually, Marco and the other dancer ran over to them before all of them started doing synchronised dance movements as Marco sang the chorus above. Marco slightly pulled up his trousers, before engaging in direct eye contact with the camera lens. As he sang the word "baby", Marco did a little spin before pointing his fingers towards the audience as he made the full 360 spin around. His cuteness radiated as he finished the chorus and went onto the bridge...

This ain't no coincidence
This ain't no voodoo
You and I, we were written in the stars, baby
Our hearts were meant for one another, oh

As he sang the bridge section, there was a steadicam that came on the stage which followed Marco from the side of the stage that he was on all the way back to the middle of the stage again where he put the microphone back on the stand once again. As he did this, he went to the camera before kissing it and winking at it before he got himself ready to sing the chorus once again. The two backing dancers joined him as Marco took a deep breath as the dancers started saying the numbers in Britonish to count Marco in before he belted a strong "Ohhh!!!" out. There was a camera from far away as we saw the lights circle around the arena, with Marco holding his strong arms out, stood with a very masculine stance.

(Iñe, vwi, vhree, piyr...)
Ohhh!!! Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!
(If you wanna be the boss, you can be
If you wanna wear the trousers? Wear 'em.
Whatever you wanna do, just do it
'cuz whatever you decide, I'm with you)

Baby, I'm yours!
(If you wanna be mine girl, just tell me
If you wanna lay the law down, lay 'em)

Only if you wanna baby! Wooo! Yeah!
(I'll do whatever you want now baby
Whatever is on your mind girl, say it.)

The three men who were on the stage all looked pretty cool together as they all danced in unison together, all looking at each other - giving each other high-fives and all sorts as they all had fun on the stage. As Marco repeated the chorus, Marco and his buddies on the stage all walked down to the lower part of the stage, closer to the roaring audience in Besen. Marco continued to sing ad-lib as the pair of men behind him continued singing the song at the top of their lungs. Marco tried to match the pair of men as he gave it his all for the final chorus.

The end consisted of the three men getting real close together, with the men coming right beside him and leaning against both of his shoulders on either side, with the tall figure of Marco being the perfect height for the other two men. All of them whistled as the lights slightly dimmed, focused on them on the stage.

Oh come on my baby!
(If you wanna be the boss, you can be
If you wanna...
(If you wanna wear the trousers? Wear 'em.)
Come on baby!
(Whatever you wanna do, just do it)
If you wanna baby!
('cuz whatever you decide, I'm with you)

If you wanna...
(If you wanna be mine girl, just tell me
If you wanna
If you wanna lay the law down, lay 'em)
If you wanna...
(I'll do whatever you want now baby
If you wanna...
(Whatever is on your mind girl, say it.)

*whistles*

At the end of the song, there were huge explosions into the air to the sound of the audience. The happy Marco bowed graciously to the audience before thanking everyone, "Thank you everyone - I love you! Thank you Estogium! Thank you Izmedu!" The man jumped up and down with his team before the image faded away to the postcard of the next nation that was performing. He felt satisfied at his performance and hope that it was enough to help Estogium recover after a disastrous record at the WorldVision Song Contest as of late.

NORTH ALEZIA / L'UNI ALEZIE DU NORD
MINA AL-DIYYAH
"ANTAHIYAT / I'M DONE"

BACKGROUND
North Alezia is still a fairly new country in the Worldvision Song Contest. Having only competed twice in the competition, there's still much to learn. North Alezia started its journey on Worldvision 82 in Ertzei Kishim with Imara Syafani's "You Are", which earned the country 17th place with 117 points. After that good but not satisfying enough result, it has been decided to make an national final to pick the next Worldvision Entry called Alezimania. The first final consists of five artists from random provinces, and the winner being Samara and Izdar with "My Life Falls Apart Before Me". Even though they're not the favorite to earn top 3, Izdar and Samara received a big celebration back home after surprising the world by earning 2nd place with 208 points. Due to the success of ALEZIMANIA, it's been decided to do the National Final again this time consisting of six main regions. It's been predicted that Zafi would won, and it eventually happened. With Mina Al-Diyyah massive victory that brought her to the Worldvision Song Contest battleground.

ARTIST INFORMATION
Image

Mina Al-Diyyah is a North Alezian singer born on 8th of September 1996 in Daramzaqda, City of Zafizamarrah, ZF, North Alezia. She's the youngest of three children of the couple of Muhammad Saradin and Ana Maklisdana. When she's not making albums or performing on stage, she works as an MC with her experience on guiding birthday parties, and mostly weddings (fun fact: her favorite thing to do in a wedding is to try all the food available little by little lol), and due to that experience, Mina can quickly fix things using stuff around her, especially dress related. Lost button? Mina can find a rose and a yarn and turn it into an exceptional button alternative! She's also a pretty good TV presenter, often seen on ABA CH 2's "Jo Fardi". Her favorite activities are pretty much being a DJ. She can make variations of music styles. Anyway, she finished her tertiary education (Every single adult North Alezian has a degree, y'know? The state picks your degree if you can't decide, there's even a degree on Memeology! (Imara Syafani is one example of a Memeology master))

Mina's music career is still pretty unknown. She has a lot of unreleased songs or songs that she made only for herself or other private people. But that doesn't mean that Mina didn't have any album that bear her name. She did one album in 2016 called "20Mina", that eventually becoming famous due to it being used as ARICOPlay's advertisement theme song. Since then, Mina did singles such as "Rock", "Tammama", and "Eerie". Until now, there are no plans of a new Mina Al-Diyyah album, with singles only hinted. The only single that she will release is "Antahiyat", which will be sung for North Alezia in this editions Worldvision Song Contest.

SONG INFORMATION
Mina Al-Diyyah is still unmarried, but she does have an ex-boyfriend that cheated on her for other woman. Mina is understandably pissed with her ex, that she decided to not even think about him anymore and broke up entirely last year, but one day before she started writing her song, her ex called her asking if she can be his lover again, which Mina refused harshly, and decided to make a song about it, and how many women suffered the same story as her.

RP PART 1- ORIGIN
(It was a wedding party between a man and a woman. It's glamorous, and you can say it's even more glamorous with Mina wearing a white long dress as the MC for the event. Everything went perfectly, until...)

Bride: (laughing enjoying the party) ah! What a beautiful event! I enjoyed every single bit here!

(suddently the Bride felt something strange happening with her dress. She looked at her back, and...)

Bride: Oh no! My dress' back button! It's lost! Oh no! How will I do stuff now? I can't show my exposed back to people! (she has a fear of having her body exposed to other people) oh no... Someone help!
Mina: Oh no. Uh... Uh... hm.... If I'm not mistaken... (Mina checked her handbag) Ha! Lucky I went to that tailor few days ago! Madam, please come to me for a while!
Bride: Ah yes, Daniel, guard my back, please....
Groom: Ah. Okay.

(The Bride and the Groom walked hastily to Mina)

Mina: Face the other way, Ma'am.
Bride: What do I do.... My party is ruined-
Mina: Done. Feel your back now!
Bride: (rubbing her back) wow! It's... FIXED! Thank you! You got such good talent! I want to give you a tip-
Mina: No, thanks. It's my job to help things if I can. Please enjoy the party now.
Groom: Thank you, you helped my newlywed a ton! I heard you made music albums?
Mina: A-ha-ha... Yes, I made a few, grateful I made sales...
Groom: That's a good talent! Say, are you interested in...
Mina: I'm already under a record, sorry.
Groom: No, not that. We're actually a band that eventually turned into a lovely couple! Our band name is MEETME, and we entered ALEZIMANIA season 1, failed to get in.
Mina: Oh! That's pretty cool to hear!
Groom: Well, I suggest you enter ALEZIMANIA season 2, I heard they opened submissions again.
Mina: Hm? I'll think about it. Thank you, and please do enjoy the event!

(The groom and the bride went back to their seats, and the event progressed until night. After that night, Mina went back to her apartment and checked the ABA website)

Mina: ALEZIMANIA? I've heard that thing sooo many times. I actually thought about entering the first season, but got late in admission deadline. (click click) Oh, it's a different system now. I have to enter my song through the region first. So... that's... Zafizamarrah.

Mina: Now. What song should I send? I made a song few months ago that went unreleased. Should I go with that? Hmm...

(flashback flashback.... a year ago in a rainy day.
Mina: How dare you did this to me?
Ex: I don't care about you anymore. You're not fun to be around with. See ya.
Mina: Hmm... Fine. I'll see you later, then. Can we still keep in touch?
Ex: ..... hrmpf No. Don't call ever again.)

(flashback flashback.... few months after that rainy day also in a rainy day.
Ex: Mina! I'm sorry! Come back! (outside the window of Mina's apartment, located on 3rd floor, standing on her patio)
Mina: (staring from inside the apartment, pressing her phone to call the police) Go away. By the way, I'm done.
Ex: Don't call the police on me, please!
(silence ensues while harsh rain soars the city)
Mina: Usually I won't, but you went too far. Goodbye, the police will be here at around 15 minutes.)

Mina: Yes. I'm sending that song. Like I would win anyway.

(few days later...)

Mina: (drinking a cup of coffee...) Ah... a very beautiful morning. Well, lets check my phone.... ABA Zafi? Well..... (scroll scroll until...) (spat out her coffee) Wait, WHAT? MY SONG GOT SENT TO THE NATIONALS? Well this is WAAAY too unexpected. (opened her planner in her phone and deleted her plans for the next few days and changed it with "REHEARSAL") Okay. I know the song, I know the dances. I got this. I don't need months to practice, other singers prepared their song months in advance, including me! okay. *inhale-exhale* let's do this, let's call my usual backing dancers.

(Mina rehearsed her song and danced so hard in a very limited time. The day for ALEZIMANIA came.)

PART 2- ALEZIMANIAC
Mina: Okay, so we have that duo, Lisa, the trio, Idresh, and Mehmet. That's the whole 6 region roster. Well... I'm sitting there. I'm representing the whole capital region... If I win, I might be the 3rd Zafizamarran to represent the country in Worldvision. And the second, will go to World Hit Festival. More pressure, more scary, and definitely more prestigious. Well, no matter where I place, I can't wait.

(ALEZIMANIA ensues, with goofy acts, and some went for almost breaking the ABA studio's whole pyrotechnics system)

Mina: I can't wait.... Will I be on Worldvision? World Hit Festival? or none? (Grasped her hand on the table in front of her)

(Voting ensues, and few 12 points later......)

Mina: (stands) I.... Won? I WON! I WON!!!!!! YAAAAAAAAASSSSSS (hugs Lisa Ammah-Andrews who'll represent the country on the next WHF)

(Mina stands on the stage, with limited amount of cameras being put around her. She reprised her song and the programme ends. Mina drove back home to her apartement, where....)

Mina: (opens door) Assalamu-
Mina's family: SURPRISE, ALEZIMANIAC! (Mina's very surprised that she got herself a celebratory party from her family with noodles and cakes!)
Mina: Wow! Thank you everyone! By the way, how did you all get into my house?
Mina's Mother: Ah, your mother (points at herself) forgot that we have your apartement's spare key, I'll return it to you later... Anyway, I can't believe it! You'll go to Milano!
Mina's Father: Yes! A very good job to my daughter! I really prayed for your win, and with that hereditary singing abilities from your mom, you can enjoy a good finish in there!
Mina: Aww... thank you
Mina's Siblings: You just don't know how many times did we all vote for you, right? Anyway, you really deserve it!
Mina: Well, how many times?
Mina's Oldest Bro. : Hmm... Let's see, we all got 5 votes, so.... (counting counting) well it's a lot!
Mina: Whaaaaay, thank you!

(They partied till midnight (it's only 5 people there so nothing wrong ye, and no alcohol) Around midnight, her family went back to their homes.)

Mina's Mother: We'll see you later!
Mina's Father: True, true. Good luck, top girl!
Mina: Ah! Thank you for visiting.

(All of her family went home, Mina closed her door, and.......)

Mina: Well, (inhale) DFVHSILGHILVAIHFIHIUHFIWEUAGVGIH I'M GOING TO MILANOOOOOO YAAAAS! Okay that's enough celebration for today. I have to visit someone tomorrow.

PART 3- ABA NE ABA OOOOOH
(Tomorrow came, and Mina is at the ABA Headquarters, literally in front of the WV Committee room. Mina takes her usual refreshment mint, and opens the door)

Mina: Good morning.
Imara: Ah! Mina. Please, take a seat.

(Mina sat herself on the chair located on the opposite side from the commitee. Like Adela, she performed her song for the committee to see.)

Imara: (claps) Bravo! Well, it proves that you're not faking anything. A pretty good job, and I'm fairly impressed with your ability to pronounce stuff in a low voice like that! I thought we're gonna need a voice machine, but we'll just add two tenors who also has the ability to dance as well.
Rahmat: You have potential, but I'm gonna have to tell you this. Don't get too cocky, we predicted this edition to be extremely competitive. A lot of countries are going for it, even... ugh... can we and perhaps you say it, Mina?
Mina: Oh, I know what you're talking about. Ahem. in 1...2...3....
ALL: South.
Rahmat: Exactly. South's getting better in writing joke songs. As the "older brother" state, we must do better. By the way, Mina, I'm sorry if I talk like I'm pressuring you.
Mina: Ah, There is a bit of pressure, but that's okay. I'll do my best.
Rahmat: Very well! We'll give you rehearsals, and we'll inform you about the flight to Milano, whether we should do a quarantine or not, I think it depends.
Mina: Ah yes
Azmi: Okay, you may leave the room.

(After that meeting, Mina did a few meetings, a few PRESS meetings, interviews, rehearsals....)

RP PART 4- FLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY TO MIIIIILANOOOO
(The day eventually came. Mina woke up and took a bath and get dressed. After that she took her luggage and use the Zafi Metro to ABA Headquarters)

Mina: Good morning, everyone! I'm not late, right?
Khasmal: Nah... Mr. Muhilah is still consulting with the ABA and he'll be out..... now.
Azmi: Ah, hello there! We can go now. We'll get into that chartered car, see?
Mina: Oooh. There's two of them!
Azmi: Yes! Since stuff are starting to get normal again, we think we might act calmer a little bit on stuff...
Mina: But still, need to "BEE" careful
Everyone: Ugggh....

(The team got into their designated chartered cars, and they all zoomed oof (yes that's intentional) to Terminal 4 of Mukhlis Krasnaya International. They handled the international stuff and finally got into AIREZIA AZ-1293 to Milano.)

Mina: (stepping out of the airport) dayum I love this city. Just look at its glamour!
Azmi: We can explore later, but first, we gotta lay down a little bit...
Mina: Trueeeee I got jetlag.

(The team got into another car and got to Mariott Milano. They got themselves checked in to two rooms separated by gender. And.... In the ladies room, Mina,Hana, Elis, and Lilias walked inside the room and took a bath taking turns. After they took their baths, All four finally got knocked out laying face down in their two double beds. Eventually, days of them exploring and tasting the cuisine plus some rehearsals, the day of the contest came)

PRE PERFORMANCE RP

(few hours before the live event, the North Alezian team gathered in a circle. Lingkaran kecil lingkaran besar)
Mina: Okay, this is our last meeting before they start this whole thing, so everyone got their positions right?
Khasmal: Yup, we're all set, I even got myself a makeup set!
Hana: True, true. Well, you got your voice, right?
Mina: Yup, got myself some lozenges, even if I don't really actually need them.

(Hours later, the event starts, and the North Alezian team walks to the stage and waves their usual small mini flags)

(After the parade of nations and three songs later, the North Alezian team are backstage preparing)
Mina: Okay, we're called up there, are you ready?
Backers: We're all ready!
(They did a small chant of SHAMAL! SHAMAL! SHAMAL!. and goes up to the stage)

انتهيت / I'm Done
Singer: Mina Al Diyyah

Backing Dancers :
1. Hana Shimirsvana
2. Elis Marhabani
3. Lilias Adrannah
4. Muhammad Syarif Hasyrad
5. Khasmal Muhaiminul
Music and Lyrics: Mina Al Diyyah

Tune: Becky Hill, Sigala - Heaven On My Mind

(The Milano stage were dark. Smokes flew out to the sky, and Mina faced against the audience for that North Alezian cliche style. Each piano key pressed, one light points at Mina, and then it turns off before another light turns on and points at Mina again. While Mina is facing against the audience, the camera that was tilted at first, starts to align itself. Mina walks to the single catwalk while her backing dancers stays behind.)

Oh my,
You walked back to me,
Walking to please me,
With tears on your eye,

I know you're fake,
Fake as your traits,
I know that you're lame,
Lame as a small freak,

(The camera closes up to Mina's face, while Mina sings, she readjusted her hijab a little bit. In her eyes are looks of determination. She starts to move her right hand to the camera and points at it, while her left hand touches her lips.)

I never believed in you anyway,
I'm not walking in your way,
All I need is my way that I trust,

Sorry, I don't want bloodshed
Nor do I don't want to berate,
But you're so hard that I can't even lie.

(Mina starts to slowly lay down at the floor, while her backing dancers starts walking slowly to their places, Khasmal (Male backing dancer 2) follows Mina to the catwalk, meanwhile the other four run to the opposite ends of the stage. Two on the right, and two on the left. The overhead lights point at Mina. Mina spreads her hands to 45 degress, and raised her right knee a little bit)

Millions of songs, have been made
Millions of feelings of me that you waste, now
Please do realize, that I have language
Languages that can express my heart

Understand now? How I feel?
How many hearts that you've ever killed, now
So, hear me now, in one single reel,
Darling, single of a word,

(The backing dancer that is with Mina standing on the single catwalk lifted her body by grabbing on to her shoulders until Mina can stand up herself, while fire shoots out to the sky with each phrase being pronounced. Mina gave the viewers a serious face while pointing once again at the camera. While that happens, all lights on the stage frolicked like crazy moving with no sense of coordination. For some reason, Mina imitates a male voice that she practiced months ago singing the reff part of her song.)

انتهيت, انتهيت (antahiyat, antahiyat) (I'm done, I'm done)

(Mina started her dance routine, where Mina jumped putting her left leg a little further than her right leg, and jumped again this time putting her right leg further than the left leg, she continues doing this alternatively until the reff is over. The led now shows a small dot of light moving around the screen uncontrollably. Each time "a" was sung, small bits of fire flies to the sky. all of her backing dancers followed her dance.)

a-a-a-a-a
انتهيت, انتهيت (antahiyat, antahiyat) (I'm done, I'm done)
a-a-a-a-a
انتهيت,انتهيت (antahiyat, antahiyat) (I'm done, I'm done)
a-a-a-a-a
انتهيت,انتهيت (antahiyat, antahiyat) (I'm done, I'm done)
a-a-a-a-a
انتهيت,انتهيت (antahiyat, antahiyat) (I'm done, I'm done)

(Mina changes position with her backing dancer at front and Mina walked the catwalk back to the central stage while singing. The camera follows her from the behind)

Oh, you're back again
Please do refrain
Or you'll get your pain

O-oooh my, I don't care 'bout you
You should know the truth
What I think 'bout you

(At the center, Mina lays down and spread her hands and legs like a star, while all of her backing dancers runs to the center of the stage and lays down near Mina. Khasmal near her head, Syarif near her left hand, Elis near her right hand, Hana near her left leg, and Lilias near her right leg, with all of their legs facing against Mina)

I never thought you went this far
Don't you know I had a scar
Scars in my heart when you went too far
(This far, too far)

I think that you feel remorse
But I'll just apply some ice,
On your burns and then I'll come back and slice

(Mina crouches while her five dancers got to the positions they were assigned to, Khasmal stands tall behind Mina, Syarif semi-crouches on left side of Mina, Elis also semi-crouches on right side of Mina, Hana lays down with her head facing the camera in front of Mina, Lilias does the same thing as Hana. Mina readjusted her hijab (for style. This is actually planned), Mina faced the camera once again, while smoke shoots out facing the singer and dancers.)

Millions of songs, have been made
Millions of feelings of me that you waste, now
Please do realize, that I have language
Languages that can express my heart

Understand now? How I feel?
How many hearts that you've ever killed, now
So, hear me now, in one single reel,
Darling, single of a word,

(Mina faced up, with her pointing her index finger at the sky, while lights frolicked around the stage floor)

انتهيت, انتهيت (antahiyat, antahiyat) (I'm done, I'm done)

(Mina and her dancers stands up, and did the dance routine on the same speed and same timing. Mina jumped putting her left leg a little further than her right leg, and jumped again this time putting her right leg further than the left leg, she continues doing this alternatively until the reff is over.)
a-a-a-a-a
انتهيت, انتهيت (antahiyat, antahiyat) (I'm done, I'm done)
a-a-a-a-a
انتهيت,انتهيت (antahiyat, antahiyat) (I'm done, I'm done)
a-a-a-a-a
انتهيت,انتهيت (antahiyat, antahiyat) (I'm done, I'm done)
a-a-a-a-a
انتهيت,انتهيت (antahiyat, antahiyat) (I'm done, I'm done)

(Mina faced upwards to the sky, closed her eyes while pulling a long note while few overhead lights points at Mina and the other lights on the stage just keep frolicking uncontrollably)
I am done!

(The backing dancers which also work as backing singers sung the last parts of the song, while Mina walks to the catwalk, and after reaching the end of the catwalk...)
انا لست اسف ('inaa last asif) (I'm not sorry)
انا لست اسف ('inaa last asif) (I'm not sorry)
انا لست اسف ('inaa last asif) (I'm not sorry)
انا لست اسف ('inaa last asif) (I'm not sorry)
انا لست اسف ('inaa last asif) (I'm not sorry)

(Just like what Adela did back in WHF 53, Mina ran back to the center. Once she's at the center of the Milano stage, Mina jumped and spinned to the audience's view, and her backing dancers gathered around Mina once again. With the ending coming, Mina stands at the center facing the floor with her left hand throwing a fist to the sky, Syarif at the left side of Mina and Khasmal at the right side of Mina crossed their hands facing the camera, while Hana and Elis semi crouched in front of Mina, and Lilias lays down facing the front.)
انا لست اسف ('inaa last asif) (I'm not sorry)

(The spectators inside MICA Arena applaused Mina while also waving flags of various nations, while Mina and her dancers broke their position and line up on a horizontal line which then they proceed to have a bow. After that Mina finally said "Syuukran Kasiira! Thank You World, Thank You Milano!!! AAAHH!" Mina and her dancers walked out of the stage)

AFTER PERFORMANCE RP
(Mina and her dance crew walks back to the green room)
ALL: (sitting on their designated chair) AAAAH. Phew...
Mina: (takes a water bottle and drinks half of it) Ahhh... I need that. By the way. good job guys!
Hana: That's... the biggest... dance... I did... in the entire history of me going out and dance.
Khasmal: That's a hard dance, but very worth it!
Mina: I think with our dance routine, we might have it. Let's pray for it... Phew....

(Mina looks around, until she sees the South Alezian team, with the WWW moving their heads ONLY. Mina got creeped by those.)

5 - Caryton
Jake Miko - Day by Day

Image

In a hasty bid to submit something different to WV84 in what might be steeper competition than last year, a high school graduate from Georgine was selected to write a contemporary (but admittedly retro) piece with assistance from several degree-holding musicians. The inspiration for this submission was optimism, religious faith, and the urban life in Georgine.

tune

The setting of the lights was a deep and subdued teal with misters casting the stage in a cooling breeze. As the instrumental began, a rainy background cast on a stage which depicted urban Georgine. Tree-lined streets appeared to be soaked and windy. Various men and women in raincoats over modest suits and dresses stood still like wax figures until the instrumentals began, in which they came to life, performing various roles. Jake is seen strolling down the road without an umbrella with a doubtful and stoic look on his face.

My mama told me I should live day by day,
She told me that patience is an art.
I wish that really just soothed what I want to say,
But waiting just won’t fix a heart.

He passed a policewoman in a reflective vest directing traffic with a flashing neon green baton. An elderly couple passed by, smiling at her. Jake seems to have no connection, blending in with the crowd. He came to street lamp, its spherical and carved luminescence glowing a calming amber. A row of schoolchildren in assorted dress clothes passed by, holding their bags underneath their umbrellas. The singer seemed to look towards the audience as if he were in equally as much sympathy for them as he was for Georgine's residents depicted in the scene.

I think that ol’ boss wanted me in office late-
Typewriting past ten drains my soul.
But my neighbor next door says that his pay is great,
And all he does is shovel coal!

At the foot of an "office building" a mean-looking bald boss is seen in a window waving a stack of papers at a redheaded female intern who is rushing with his coffee in front of two terrified co-workers. The neighbor rolls past, unintentionally gloating in a cherry red "car" which looked brand new. He wasn't making fun of anybody, but it definitely wasn't a sight the singer wanted to be seeing at that moment. His face and clothes are stained with soot, but the car is otherwise pristine. Clumps of people walked past, paying no mind.

Boys meet girls with stars in their eyes-
Blind to reality, and yet their sadness dies!
They’re blissfully ignorant and they’re living day by day!

A brunette football jock in a rich-looking letterman jacket is seen clasping a beautiful blonde's hands as her red dress fluttered in the "rain", her matching sun hat looking drenched but cherry red lipstick somehow sticking. The high-schoolers could barely carry on chatter between flustered bursts of laughter, fun that the male clearly hadn't had in a long time. To rub it in, a boy and girl no older than third grade were bouncing joyfully in puddles directly parallel to the couple.

I think that my pastor told me that I’ve gone astray-
And to his credit, he’s not wrong.
“Eternal bliss should be your priority today,
And to be true, your faith must be strong.”

A grandfatherly-looking priest in white robes and a black stole with a patch of Cary ironed over his heart held a Bible and Book of Cary's Example before a humble-looking white chapel adorned with Carytonic flags which hung at a 45 degree angle upwards. He nodded towards the male, beckoning him over. A short chatter sequence began before Jake was sent off with a smile and a pat on the back towards the audience.

The instrumental began, and the singer made eye contact with the audience, breaking character and walking towards them, swaying his body in an emotional step-touch. The scene behind him carried on as normal. He turned back behind him and sang into the mic as the couple waved goodbye to each other.

Boys meet girls with stars in their eyes-
Blind to reality, and yet their sadness dies!
They’re blissfully ignorant and they’re living day by day!

He moves to the road with a smile on his face, looking at his reflection in a busy bakery which conveniently used to be the office building from the previous scene. He turned, putting his back against the "bricks" blissfully.

My mama told me I should live day by day,
She told me that patience is an art.
And looking back, I agree with what she had to say,
So let that blessed change start!

Lord, help me to live day by day!
It gets better, it gets better! Lord!
Help us, help us, to live day by day!
It gets better, it gets better. . .

With a grateful and blissful expression on his face, the song faded out and the set went black.

07. BEEPEE
"From the Sky"
Performed by
Selma Soul

Tune: Natasha St-Pier - Viens sois ma lumière

Image

The plucky and determined nation of Beepee has performed at every Worldvision since its debut at Worldvision 79.

CycleSong - ArtistPos.
79Send Me Someone to Love - Ida Slapter22
80Live in Peace - Krystal D'Canter18
81Fight for My Love - Betty Wont22
82All in Your Mind - Birthe Right9
TeamsMemories - Amina Pickle (w/ Elejamie)10 (last)
83Hold Me - Betty Wont25

Beepee's first entry was "Send Me Someone to Love" performed by Ida Slapter. Some technical issues with the performance saw Beepee fail to light up the voting, finishing 22nd of 23 competitors in Phoda, Talvezout.

Despite this low ranking, the Beepeean Occasional News Corporation (BONC) determined the entry a success and returned the following cycle, at Marina Point, Nekoni. "Live in Peace" was performed by Krystal D'Canter and finished 18th place (of 26 entries).

Worldvision 81 saw BONC choose to send Beepee's most recognised international singing sensation Betty Wont. The song "Fight for My Love" finished comfortably midtable reaching 22nd of 34 entrants in Boschke, Britonisea.

WorldVision 82 was held in Tiferet, Ertzei Kishim. Beepee put forward a topical song about CoVID with the entry "All in Your Mind" performed by Birthe Right The song performed well in the voting skyrocketing Beepee to finish 9th overall out of 31 entrants. This represents the high point of Beepeean entrants.

Beepee also entered the WorldVision Teams special held in Ordium, Scotatrova. Amina Pickle sang with the Elejamie performer Andrea Garcia on the song "Memories". The performance was one to forget with the duet coming a distant last of the ten entrants.

For Worldvision 83, BONC tried something different holding a national song contest to choose the winner. Betty Wont was chosen by the international and local juries to represent Beepee in St Christopher, Llalta, with the song "Hold Me". Despite initial optimism, the song quickly faded in the juries minds and finished 25th of 42 entrants.

Selma Soul has been chosen to represent Beepee at this cycles Worldvision Song Contest 84.

Selma from Golden Wattle Bay, is 24 years old and enjoys walks along the beach, thunderstorms and long, hot baths. A relative newcomer to the music scene, Selma is eager to impress the multiverse with her wistful lyrics and haunting performance.

From the Sky

Written by Rainie Daze

I walk these streets alone at night,
Walking in the pale moonlight,
Looking in each window pane,
Looking for my loves remains,

What we had once felt so right,
If loneliness is my plight,
All my tears I can't contain,
Singing out this sad refrain,

Tears fell from the sky----
When you said goodbye----
Rain from my eyes----
Tears fell from the sky----

As I walk through these slums,
Once again my heart succumbs,
Knowing I cannot regain,
What I lost was all in vain,

I return when morning comes,
I look at what I've become,
Reflected in my window pane,
Is my face, filled with pain,

Tears fell from the sky----
When you said goodbye----
Rain from my eyes----
Tears fell from the sky----

Even if the clouds should part,
Time should mend my broken heart,
I could not forget the day,
You left me here in disarray,

I could walk a hundred miles,
Seek romance in others' smiles,
Imagine
Imagine

Even if the clouds should part,
Time should mend my broken heart,
I could not forget the day,
You left me here in disarray,

I could climb the highest hill,
Watch my every dream fulfill,
Imagine
Imagine

I walk these streets alone at night,
Walking in the pale moonlight,
Looking in each window pane,
Looking for my loves remains,

Tears fell from the sky
When you said goodbye
Rain from my eyes
Tears fell from the sky----

Tears fell from the sky----
When you said goodbye----
Rain from my eyes----
Tears fell from the sky----
Tears fell from the sky

BONC COMMENTARY

For televisual viewers in Beepee, and also for the first time live on the Interwebs, Hugh Jakeman provides his commentary, as the postcard begins...

"I dont know about you but I enjoyed that very much....

Next up, its our turn. Selma Soul, a very attractive lady, is singing for us this year with the song "From the Sky".

Selma's a vision in burgundy and in honour of that I have a glorious grand cru in front of me.

The lyrics start "I walk these streets alone at night, waking in the pale moonlight, looking in each window pane..." Interestingly enough, I was arrested in 2002 for doing just that, so Selma needs to take some care here.

So let's cheer her on in word and gesture!"

PERFORMANCE

Shortly before the postcard ended, Selma soul waited expectantly in her burgundy velour pleated dress with tight fitting bodice. The weeks of preparation had lead to this moment. She exhaled her nerves before walking onto stage.

The postcard ends and Selma takes her position at the rear of the stage.

The stage setting has a number of street lights on stage. The rear led-screen has the a streetscene behind.

The music begins and Selma lifts her microphone and begins... as she sings the first verses she slowly begins to walk towards the front of the stage.

I walk these streets alone at night,
Waking in the pale moonlight,
Looking in each window pane,
Looking for my loves remains,

What we had once felt so right,
If loneliness is my plight,
All my tears I can't contain,
Singing out this sad refrain,

Selma reaches the front of the stage, at the end of the scond verse. As the chorus begins, rain begins to fall at the back of the stage. Selma raises her hand to the sky and as she sings the chrous her hand drops slowly mimicking the fall of the rain.

Tears fell from the sky----
When you said goodbye----
Rain from my eyes----
Tears fell from the sky----

With the conclusion of the chorus, Selma stands close to the front of the stage.

As I walk through these slums,
Once again my heart succumbs,
Knowing I cannot regain,
What I lost was all in vain,

I return when morning comes,
I look at what I've become,
Reflected in my window pane,
Is my face, filled with pain,

With the haunting of loves loss, etched across Selma's face, she sings the chorus, and reiterates the hand choreography from before.

Tears fell from the sky----
When you said goodbye----
Rain from my eyes----
Tears fell from the sky----

As the bridge begins, selma waves away imaginary clouds and she sings with a far off look in here eyes...

Even if the clouds should part,
Time should mend my broken heart,
I could not forget the day,
You left me here in disarray,

I could walk a hundred miles,
Seek romance in others' smiles,
Imagine
Imagine

Even if the clouds should part,
Time should mend my broken heart,
I could not forget the day,
You left me here in disarray,

I could climb the highest hill,
Watch my every dream fulfill,
Imagine
Imagine

As she sings the above, her eyes narrow as if hoping to imagine such a scene.

Whilst singing the next part, Selma turns and returns back to the back of the stage.

I walk these streets alone at night,
Walking in the pale moonlight,
Looking in each window pane,
Looking for my loves remains,

Singing the next part quietly, in barely more than a whisper. The rain continues to fall behind Selma.

Tears fell from the sky
When you said goodbye
Rain from my eyes
Tears fell from the sky----

Before returning to full voice...

Tears fell from the sky----
When you said goodbye----
Rain from my eyes----
Tears fell from the sky----

Withe final line, Selma reaches up to the sky...

Tears fell from the sky

Selma says "thank you", bows politely and walks off stage

Czarstruck
Rum

Tune: Numb - Linkin Park

Rum (parody)
Written by Patya Grigorev
I’m tired of drinking you more than I eat
Feeling so helpless, not to mention legless
Don’t know why I’m drinking you 5 to 3
Rum in my blood pressure of 130/82
bought in Puerto Rico, just bought in Puerto Rico
Every bottle I drink is just another loss to you
bought in Puerto Rico, just bought in Puerto Rico

I’ve been hung on rum, I can’t feel me there
Become so drunk, so much less aware
By realizing this all I want to do
Is think more like me and drink less of you

Can’t I see that you’re loving me?
Holding tightly, afraid to lose control
But every drink that you want me to drink
Has been drunken right in front of you
Bought in Puerto Rico, just bought in Puerto Rico
Every bottle I drink is just another win for you
Bought in Puerto Rico, just bought in Puerto Rico
But every second I’m wasted is as much as I can take!

I’ve been hung on rum, I can’t feel me there
Become so drunk, so much less aware
By realizing this all I want to do
Is think more like me and drink less of you

And I know I may end up coming back to you
But I know I’ll still be disappointed in me too

I’ve been hung on rum, I can’t feel me there
Become so drunk, so much less aware
By realizing this all I want to do
Is think more like me and drink less of you

I’ve been hung on rum, I can’t feel me there
I’m tired of drinking you more than I eat
I’ve been hung on rum, I can’t feel me there
I’m tired of drinking you more than I eat

10. Scotatrova
Alfredo Moruga
Lagrímos

Tune: Kendji Girac - Habibi
Image

As the postcard ends, the camera pans in a view of the stage. Flowers in shades of red, orange and white cover the floor of the stage, with marigolds and roses among them. A thin layer of fog seeps around them on the floor, in a fashion similar to Scotatrova's last WV performance. Alfredo has his back turned to the camera, with his guitar on a stand just behind him and next to the microphone stand. He keeps his outfit simple, just some jeans, a white tee and his signature headband around his head. The image of large, rolling clouds on a light blue sky fill the LED screen in front of him. This illuminates the stage in a flurry of pink and orange hues, as the clouds seem to be reflecting the rays from a sunset. Just before he starts singing, he slightly looks to his side, gives a slight grin before lifting the mic up to his mouth and fully turning around to perform.

Tú et míe zireha
Tue cavoie nero ía
Tue lápras roxos
Comon u sole, me cremás
Gom tues xas eu orris
Loqüe perth la cabetha

You are my flower
Your black hair and
Your red lips
Like a sun, you burn me up
With your golden rays
Then I lose my mind

While singing, the camera still keeps the angle of him performing to the audience. Just after the first line, "Tú et míe zireha" he motions to the many flowers scattered around the stage. The camera zooms in a bit closer to his face. Alfredo sings the lyrics with such intent, there's nothing he is bothered by in this moment. Yet again the camera zooms away, and pans to the side as Alfredo continues singing, enjoying himself on stage.

Tú et le luix que emá
Gom toth súes gomtas
Sune benálas
Entrende danxe iunx
Ei axo emor?
Asperá que sier

You are the light that I love
With all its reflections
They are beautiful
While they dance together
Is this love?
I hope it is

He continues singing as he begins to slowly walk forward. He bends down and gently caresses one of the orange marigolds. Once he sings the line "entrende danxe iunx" the stage flashes in two quick flurries of light, courtesy of the stagelights. From that point on, the stagelights flash in a rhythmic pattern to the beat of the song. Alfredo gets back up and dances slightly in place, just moving to the beat of the song while he finishes his verse.

Lí lagrímos
Lí lagrímos
Tudevía fluízo
Par míes xiansas
Qüenia te veth

The tears
The tears
They still flow
Down my cheeks
When I see you

As the chorus begins, he grabs onto the mic with both hands. He then starts moving his hips back and forth to the song. Alfredo puts his hands up as he continues to dance, while also slightly stepping backward. The back LED screen keeps its consistency with the blue and pink fusion of clouds and the sky. The stagelights then begin to emit a pink/purple hue down onto Alfredo and the stage, drenching the stage in a lovely lavender color. The main stagelight keeps Alfredo illuminated, but in the camera view he is surrounded by a mist of pink and lavender amongst the flowers.

Tú et la reign, emalxe
Gotigo, reinarós
Resri ai tue plathe
Comon mixsaies
U région aveguin
Unue que partexan

You are the queen, so royal
With you, we will rule
I will be by your side
As equals
An eternal kindgom
One that we share

With the end of the chorus, he turns to the side for a quick second as he starts putting the microphone back on the stand. He does so and keeps singing, like if there's nothing coming in the way of this performance. He does it so naturally, and then he reaches over to grab his guitar. Alfredo holds the guitar by his neck for a little bit, clearly finishing up his verse before starting to play. Then as the verse comes to an end, he puts the guitar strap over his shoulder.

Tú et ll’emor que atiem
Ía gom nosre luix
Gemaix murtira
Brillara ai la nuixa
Ei axo emor?
Asperá que sier

You are the love that we have
And with our light
It will never die
It will continue to shine in the night
Is this love?
I hope it is

Alfredo begins to strum the guitar as he sings "Tú et ll’emor que atiem". The camera zooms in to a closer angle of Alfredo while he plays, and he does so without even looking down. His fingers move effortlessly over the strings while he does so. In his natural element, Alfredo smiles while continuing on with the verse, still dancing in place to the beat of the song. The camera pans to the side, a little lower than before, and displays an image of Alfredo playing his guitar on the backdrop of the lavender sky, some of the flowers popping up from the lower angles.

Lí lagrímos
Lí lagrímos
Tudevía fluízo
Par míes xiansas
Qüenia te veth (x3)

The tears
The tears
They still flow
Down my cheeks
When I see you

With the final choruses, Alfredo continues to play his guitar without much of a thought. He claps his hands along to the beat in the last chorus as he looks into the camera. He points out towards the audience, and seemingly the camera while he smiles and plays again. He steps back away from the mic while the song concludes, giving one final, strong strum of his guitar, lifting his right arm in the air as he does so. As the audience claps, he grabs the mic. "Thank you!"

11 - Placely Placington

Jim the Grindcore Guy Bloke - Ek is lief vir jou

Tune: CBT - Heterosexual Testosterone Compressor

It had been a bit of a mixed bag for Placely Placington. They weren't present at the last competition, as Noiseman of Some Noise Act was so certain that the competition would be held in Merecendi- that he somehow accidentally winded up in Mercedini by mistake. Normally that would be a horrible oversight that would want sorting out once the offender returned home but in all honesty everyone was too cracked up to care. On the upside, a hastily made rugby league national team made up of Test Subjects (expendable clones designed exclusively to do grunt work) came second in their group before they fall at the Round of 16 at the recent Rugby League World Cup, so that was something to celebrate. Even more so when they somehow managed to beat Neu Engollon, one of the best teams in the multiverse (and indeed the eventual runners-up), 18-5. Albeit after they already lost 37-9 to them in their opening game.

Regardless, Chief President Man Dave McDaverson decided that the country will return to the WorldVision Song Contest. They were planning to even host the 84th edition but unfortunately Television Director was hit by a speeding piano when they were about to finish submitting their bid and they ended up losing everything. Even a freshly cloned one of him didn't seem to have any idea how to recover all the lost information, so they just decided to put it on hold and try again. Fortunately, this didn't seem to affect their plans on sending an entrant as they were still able to send Jim the Grindcore Guy Bloke for a second go-around. A horribly winded Jim the Grindcore Guy Bloke who's now only capable of burping out his horribly mangled Afrikaans lines, along with a Guitar Clone whose hair is longer than it normally is, but a Jim the Grindcore Guy Bloke nonetheless.

The trip to Besen was quite an arduous one, primarily because the giant bees they were flying on kept trying to collect pollen instead of flying to Besen. The repeated problem of Placely Placingtonians dying was also a bit of an issue, though fortunately it was only Drummer Clone accidentally mounting his bee wrong and being absorbed by it. But, fortunately, they eventually made it there. And following a mandatory test to see if they had coronavirus, which fortunately they didn't, they were able to go about their day alright, much to the regret of their Besenian hosts. They had a good time but now, it was time for them to perform over at the MICA Arena for their performance. Will they receive a warm welcome? No they won't, it's Placely Placington. They can only hope for a less hostile one.

Following their postcard, the three of them stepped out onto the stage and got into their positions. Drummer Clone was in the middle back of the stage behind his drum kit. On either side of him was Jim and Guitar Clone, the former to his left and the latter to his right. A couple of deep breaths ensued as they waited for the audience's [lack of a] reaction to die down, before they got right into it. Drummer Clone bashed his stick hands together and Guitar Clone started to play his guitar. This doesn't actually sound bad and it might go well. If only Jim didn't start singing a couple of seconds later.

EK IS LIEF VIR JOU
JY LYK GOED EN EK LYK GOED
JY IS SO MOOI MY LIEFLING
EN JY IS SO PRAGTIG
I LOVE YOU
YOU LOOK GOOD AND I LOOK GOOD
YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL MY LOVE
AND YOU LOOK SO BEAUTIFUL

After finishing the previous line, there was a wee bit of a drum solo before he repeated parts of it in a different order. Once he was done with the repetition, a breakdown happened, where the music became less groovy and instead became heavier. The drumming did the same thing as well. While that was going on, Jim would carry on with the next bit. A chorus of sorts.

SAL JY MY VALENTINE WEES?
SAL JY MY VALENTINE WEES?
WILL YOU BE MY VALENTINE?
WILL YOU BE MY VALENTINE?

After finishing that line, Jim would go on to belch an almighty "JAAAAAAAA!" (or "YEAAAAAHHHH!" if you must), lifting up his microphone and looking up at the ceiling, as if he was speaking to whatever sky-inhabiting deity you do or do not believe in, before resuming with his song. It was also at this time that Drummer Clone got bored and, instead, stood up and started punching his drumkit instead of just hitting it with his stick hands. As you normally do.

JY IS SOOS NET 'N ENGEL
WIL JY SAAM MET MY KUIER?
EK VRA U DIT OMDAT
EK IS LIEF VIR JOU
JY LYK GOED EN EK LYK GOED
JY IS SO MOOI MY LIEFLING
EN JY IS SO PRAGTIG
YOU ARE JUST LIKE AN ANGEL
DO YOU WANT TO HANG OUT?
I ASK YOU THIS BECAUSE
I LOVE YOU
YOU LOOK GOOD AND I LOOK GOOD
YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL MY LOVE
AND YOU LOOK SO BEAUTIFUL

Jim would then belch out a long "LIEFDEEEEEE!" ("LOOOOVE!") in the same way he did that long "Ja" earlier. During this breakdown, Guitar Clone headbanged so hard his head started to become loose. Not that he could feel it anyway he was too busy in the groove but, when the song picked up again, he span his head around so fast it started to detach from his head. It then fell right onto the floor with an incredibly dull thud, though fortunately he was still aware enough to notice what happened. He was trying to alternate between playing the some and picking his head up but it clearly obvious he was failing at it, as he kept kicking his head around any time he bent over to pick it up. All while Jim was still burp-singing.

SAL JY MY VALENTINE WEES?
SAL JY MY VALENTINE WEES?
WILL YOU BE MY VALENTINE?
WILL YOU BE MY VALENTINE?

Shortly after that, there was a mini breakdown before Jim let out a short "HAAI!" (or "HI!") for no apparent reason at all. During that bit, the music picked up as Guitar Clone kept trying to grab his head, Drummer Clone was destroying his instrument and Jim was still gassy as fok, as evidenced by the next lines.

JY IS MY SONSKYN, MY LIEFDE
EN JY IS SO AANTREKLIK
YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE, MY LOVE
AND YOU ARE SO HANDSOME

Yet another breakdown ensued. Guitar Clone thought he got control of his head but he accidentally tripped on his hair and fell over. His body then moved himself around and got up, still playing his instrument as if nothing wrong was happening at all. Meanwhile Jim burped out a long "EK HOUUUUUUUU VAN JOUUUUUUU" (if you remove the extra Us, another way of saying "I LOVE YOU"). The breakdown ensued and, at that point, Drummer Clone was exhausted from turning his drumkit into what could charity be described as a "modern art sculpture". He was still able to play it, though, much to the dismay of everyone in attendance.

EK IS LIEF VIR JOU
JY LYK GOED EN EK LYK GOED
JY IS SO MOOI MY LIEFLING
EN JY IS SO PRAGTIG
I LOVE YOU
YOU LOOK GOOD AND I LOOK GOOD
YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL MY LOVE
AND YOU LOOK SO BEAUTIFUL

After belching those last lines, Jim suddenly felt himself getting lighter. Still keeping a tight grip on the microphone, he would still manage to finish off his lines to finish off the song. All while Guitar Clone is still literally tripping over his head and Drummer Clone is playing his mangled drumkit.

JY EN EK
JY DINK AAN JOU AS MEER AS 'N VRIEND
EK HOU VAN JOU
EK HOU VAN JOU
JY IS SO PRAGTIG
JY IS MY LEWE
JY LYK GOES EN EK LYK GOED!
YOU AND I
I THINK OF YOU AS MORE THAN A FRIEND
I LOVE YOU
I LOVE YOU
YOU LOOK SO BEAUTIFUL
YOU ARE MY LIFE
YOU LOOK GOOD AND I LOOK GOOD!

Fortunately for everyone in attendance, shortly after Jim said those last lines he let go around the mic and flew around the room like a balloon that someone let the air out of. While that was going on, Guitar Clone accidentally kicked his head into the crowd, thus making it impossible to retrieve. It was at that point that he realised that you needed a head to live and, thus, he dropped dead without anything spilling out because there are children watching. A few seconds later, a massively deflated and dead Jim slowly swayed from side to side as he landed on an audience member's head, who angrily took him off and threw him onto the floor. Oh, and Drummer Clone exploded again, leaving no traces of DNA much like what happened the last time that happened. And everyone cheered. On the upside, it'll make the clean-up for the next act, the talented Levitskaya and Company hailing from Waisnor, a lot easier for the hosts. And plus they've brought over the Clonomat so they can easily clone new versions of Jim and his backing band.

Levitskaya and Company - Plachu pod tekhno/Tune: Cream Soda & Khleb - Plachu na tekhno

Group "Levitskaya and Company" was formed in 2016 and with it's first single immediately announced herself loudly. The reason for sending the group to Worldvision was their unusual musical style and great popularity in the country. In addition to Svetlana Levitskaya, the members of the group were three musicians - Gleb Gordeenko, Valentin Yazykov and Zhanna Artemenkova.

Let's move on to the performance: Levitskaya stood near the screen on an improvised balcony, on which there was also a flower in a pot and a bicycle. The musicians stood in front, they were wearing masks and gloves, they stood at a distance of 1.5 meters from each other on the squares for which they did not perform throughout the entire performance. The backdrop for the performance was the windows and balconies of various buildings.

Может быть, это наша судьба
Maybe this is our destiny

Не можем увидеться, а хочется танцевать
We can't see each other, but we want to dance

Я на танцполе тебя полюбя
I'm on the dance floor loving you

Ждала нашей встречи, пусть придётся подождать[/floatright]I was waiting for our meeting, we will have to wait[/floatright]

The musicians, meanwhile, were playing their instruments and slowly began to dance, rather, rhythmically moving their legs. The light began to blink slowly and the blinking speed increased while Levitskaya sang the second verse:

Я бы хотела прийти в наш клуб
I would like to come to our club

Чтобы уйти в отрыв и тебя повидать
To go wild and see you

Может, зальём наш флекс на ютуб
Maybe we'll upload our flex to YouTube

Но пока не могу прийти, и мне нечем дышать
But I can't come yet and I can't breathe

Immediately after that, everyone stopped for a short while, the lights stopped blinking, and the musicians stopped playing while Levitskaya sang the first lines of the chorus. After the third line, wild dances performed by the "company" have already begun and the light kept turning on and off.

Ты не со мной, мне сейчас не до смеха
You're not with me, I'm not laughing now

Плачу под техно, я плачу под техно
I cry to techno, I cry to techno

The chorus was repeated 4 times, after which Levitskaya stopped singing and left all the work to the musicians who, in fact, played music. This went on for about 15 seconds, after which Svetlana began to sing again.

Мой дом для меня будто тюрьма
My house is like a prison to me

Не могу выбраться и к тебе подойти
I can't get out and come up to you

Взгляд свой на улицу устремя
Looking at the street

Хочется затусить и счастье обрести
I want to hang out and find happiness

And then Svetlana leaned on the front wall of the balcony and it opened. While Levitskaya approached her square, on which she had to stand, she sang the last verse. "Company" was not distracted by Levitskaya and continued to play music.

Знаю я, что этому конец
I know that this will end

Выйду я из дому, смогу тебя найти
I'll leave the house, I'll find you

Если ты выжил, ты молодец
If you survived, you are great

Выйдем мы на танцпол, пока летит конфетти
We'll go out on the dance floor while the confetti is flying

After the last verse, as in a song, confetti went, and while it flew, Levitskaya sang the chorus and danced to the song with her "company". The light again started to turn on and off. By the way, Svetlana was 1.5 meters away from the musicians.

Ты не со мной, мне сейчас не до смеха
You're not with me, I'm not laughing now

Плачу под техно, я плачу под техно
I cry to techno, I cry to techno

After singing the song, all the members of the group bowed to the audience, coming closer to each other. Then Levitskaya said: "Thank you and all the best, most importantly, health, to you!"

(Tune is "Spotlight" by Jessie Ware.)
Talvezout was in a very Talvezian pickle at Worldvision. They had garnered the reputation of being a johnny-come-lately nation - announcing early, somehow wasting away previous time and resources, with the final product being a shabby "Great Value" version of their previous efforts. What the hell had happened to them? The North Pacific island nation used to send big bops like "7 Circles", "Alright", "Todo El Mismo", "Morning Phase", among many others. Now, they could barely place above 10th on a good day. Out of their appearances at Worldvision for the past 10 contests, they placed in the top 5 twice - a far cry from when the nation used to regularly place in the top 10. And of course, their hostings. Most Worldvision fans were lucky to see a complete contest from TRT when they hosted - it would usually end with the arena getting bombed, the electricity, water, and gas being shut off for the arena, or in one very infamous case, the host nation being disqualified. Talvezout was in an extremely bad shape by Worldvision 84 (only in Worldvision - the nation was doing better then ever outside of the music contest).

TRT was thus reduced to calling upon artists who had already performed for Worldvision. Most of these performers said no (and for good reasons). The only artists to give any sign of interest were Modern Tears and Lady Kim. After Modern Tears dropped out, Lady Kim was hired as a last-minute replacement. Thus, TRT was sending back Lady Kim to the Worldvision fray - only with the hope that she would do better then her middling 12th place back in Boschke. Maybe she would, maybe she wouldn't - who knows?

The song she had crafted "Image of You", was sonically very much different than her previous songs. Lady Kim usually performed electro and EDM inspired songs - "Image" is a disco and art pop influenced one. The song is a ballad to all those who suffer from saudade and the want of something more; in this case, it is a lover, who is gone and done. In great contrast to Talvezout's previous entries, TRT actually bothered to spend some money on ensuring a great show for the Worldvision audience.

As the lights of the Mica Arena would focus on center stage in anticipation of the song, the audience would go wild with excitement. Talvezout, despite it's admittedly shoddy history of performances, would usually send quantifiable bops. What had they sent tonight? They would soon find out in a minute, as a lone soft spotlight came up on Lady Kim. Illuminated in a defined profile, she would be dressed in a simple but elegant egg white kaftan, perched on a tiny metal stool in the center of the stage. Above her, various industrial metallic caged lights would slowly sway, giving various moving shadows and lights around Lady Kim. As she would sing the plaintive first words of the song, she would slowly turn to the audience, with another gentle spotlight illuminating her profile.
It’s never enough just to think of you
Old photos can never do the things I need them to
All I am is alone here, alone here without an image of you
Am I simply finally insane, or am I just simply losing my mind tonight

Lady Kim would get up from her stool as the lights above her would illuminate various dancers streaming about her. As the camera would swirl above her, she would reach out to it - a metaphorical rescue from the ocean of loneliness she felt, alone in a great crowd of people. As the changing dynamic lights and shadows would flutter about onstage (aside from where the performers were located, the rest of the arena was in pure inky darkness), Lady Kim would slowly make her way through the throng of dancers. She would remain seemingly aloof from the commotion going around her - couples dancing and touching, families embracing and singing, so and so forth - was she that lost in her thoughts? She would lock her eyes onto the camera with a a steely gaze, removed from the actions of the world going around her. It was as if us, the viewer, were her lost lover.

Why couldn’t I make you stay?
If only I could start that day again
If everything had finally gone my way
We’d never be in this place ever again

But I could never let you go
But I could never ever be alone
What do I say?
Alone here tonight, suffering without an image of you

How could I have let you go?
When I knew I would be alone?
All the words I could have said
Alone in the moonlight, alone sans an image of you

As the chorus would end, the dancers around Lady Kim would slowly freeze into position as she would move about them. She would still remaining unaware of them, as she would slowly make her way upstage. It was as if she had this moment to herself, so lost in her own thoughts. As the chorus would return and the dancers too, Lady Kim would be slowly lifted up by the dancers about her. In a cross position facing up to the camera, Lady Kim would be slowly carried back to the stool where she started the song. During the entire time, she would be singing straight to the camera once more. Despite her zero energy bare minimum performance, it would be imbued with a ethereal and otherworldly aspect about it. Her disconnect from the rest of the world as disco rhythms would blast about her only served to heighten the song.

When I close my eyes it’s like you never left
Just give me a moment, the sweetest moment
Give me your tiniest touch, with the greatest heft
A moment to be hooked forever and ever

Why can’t I ever let you go?
When will I no longer be alone?
There’s nothing to say
To be here so alone without an image of you
Why

Why did I accept the word, “No”
Now you’re as cold as stone
And I spend my days
All here so alone, dreaming of you no image of you
Why

Various lights, smoke, and pyrotechnics would blast around Lady Kim as she would find her spot on the stool she was placed upon. As various dancers would perform around her, with pyrotechnics and smoke going off, she would still be disconnected from everything going on. Was her loneliness, her sense of saudade just that damn powerful?

If I could move the heavens and earth
If I could cross the widest berths
If I could only reverse this damn course

But I can’t keep the day from starting
But I can’t stop the sun from shining
But I can’t prevent you from leaving

If I could move the heavens and earth
If I could cross the widest berths
If I could only reverse this damn course

But I can’t keep the day from starting
But I can’t stop the sun from shining
But I can’t prevent you from leaving

The various projections and ghosts would return. As the camera would circle around Lady Kim on her stool, she would still remain unaware of the ghosts of her past around her. All she would focus on was the camera, with her turning around to continue facing it as it circled around her.

But I could never let you go
But I could never ever be alone
What do I say?
Alone here tonight, suffering without an image of you

But I could never let you go
But I could never ever be alone
What can I say?
Alone here tonight, suffering without an image of you

The various effects would stop as the swaying lights would return, this time with more intensity. As the dancers would dance in the moving lights, Lady Kim would get up and continue walking through the crowd. The camera would lock onto Lady Kim's face as she would walk through the crowd - from the beginning of the outro until the end, the Steadicam-enhanced camera would focus on Lady Kim and only Lady Kim. As various dancers would run in front and around her, fire would shoot out, sparks would fall, smoke would fire, and lights would flicker, Lady Kim would remain still ever aloof. And as she would slowly finish singing, she would reach her hands out to the camera as she would make a face of desperation and desire - we really were her lost love. The camera would continue moving back, away from Lady Kim and the crowd, as it would slowly fly away into the arena, ending in an wide shot of the entire Worldvision audience applauding TRT for their efforts.

If I’m awake tell me I’m dreaming
And that you’ll save me from here
Let this be our final scene
Tell me what you think
And give me your greatest touch
No touch could ever be enough
Tell me what you think
Tell me to help me break free

Help me dream without any images of you
Help me dream without any images of you

Gotta stop the day from starting
Gotta stop the sun from rising
Gotta stop me from believing
Gotta stop you from leaving
Gotta stop my heart from beating
Gotta stop my mind from dreaming

Lady Kim and her dancers would bow and tell the audience thanks, before quickly scurrying offstage for the next performance.

(Tune is ""wonder 2" by My Bloody Valentine.)

Massey Massie would be sitting on a gray box in the middle of the stage. As her shoegaze song would come on, the audience in the arena would be blasted with a multicolor audiovisual feast of sight and sound, that was bound to leave some people the audience blinded and deafened.

I'm holding you close for today, can't bear to see you gone astray
Don't leave me with no hope to stay alive
Somewhere we went wrong, all unfortunate
I shall sing so we shall sail on

I'm, moving on for today, can't imagine what you'll say
Got to sail on to fight on as so to hold on to live on
Kill the no hope, make sure we stay to always see tomorrow
No more sorry or none too soon

As paramedics would tend to those in the audience who were suffering from audio/visual induced pain, hallucinations, etc, Massey Massie would say thank you before freezing, being as she was a CGI computer program and not an actual human being.

Jigay

Tune: Poli Genova- How We End Up

JIGAY

The first representative for Northern Beepee at WorldVision is Jigay. A 22 year old Hakea woman, who has been singing locally for 5 years.

Jigay, which means Catbird in the local dialect has chosen to sing the song "(The Deepest Shade of) Blue".

ALL UNHAPPY FAMILIES

Leo Tolstoy wrote ""Happy families are all alike; every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way."

Jigay's family had always been close, as many families are; but Jigay had always had a sense of unhappiness around them.

On numerous different occasions in which when her family gathered together to share memories and enjoy each other’s company, Jigay would retreat to herself, sit quietly into the corner. Her particular fear was the fear of being made to perform, when the aunties had had their rum and their sense of pride in 'the catbird' rose to levels where they demanded Jigay to sing.

It was at those family gatherings and special occasions that Jigay honed her singing skills. Seeing the pleasure spread across her inebriated aunties as her vocals soared, helped Jigay understand the power of her voice.

It was warm and humid in January, mid- rainy season, five years ago in Hakea when Jigay's aunties encouraged her to join the church choir. Alkooelie, the Pastor's wife, who was in charge of the choir, was the first person outside her family to hear her sing when she auditioned.

Jigay was nervous as she stood in centre of the community hall. Alkooelie sat at the piano and played the beginning of The Curlew Song (duwalya). The song is a lament, the lyrics used to guide the departed spirit to the land of the dead. When she began to sing, Jigay's vocals wailed and haunted, this causd Alkooelie to stop immediately. However Catbird didn't stop singing, she carried on with the lament. When she finished the last note, Alkooelie sat silent crying at her piano. Alkooelie's deep emotional connection with the song had been awakened by Jigays vocals.

Jigay perofrmed the song at the church, the next holy day. The small congregation was made up mainly of Jigay's family and small rural community.

Jigay did not feel comfortable performing, much preferring her quiet internal reflection. But she persevered.

Jigay perseverence saw her play local churches and other places of worship, sining hymns and traditional Hakea songs. She became more comfortable singing and performing in front of others, although it drained her emotionally and she often spent days after recuperating.

After a year or so of performing in church events, Jigay was asked to perform at a local concert singing popular songs.

Jigay enjoyed popular music, although her humble upbringing meant she could only listen to them on the transistor radio when her extended family was not listening to sports or news or other current affairs. The long wave frequency picked up transmission from Beepee and Radio Popular One, which played artists such as Esther Winterbourne, Kelsey Banques and Ylinqar. It was these artists, Jigay listened to alone and mainly at night and it was the songs of the WorldVision she decided to sing at the concert. She was asked to provide a set of 5 songs.

Jigay chose to open with a cover of Alyxhia Willis' "I Want You Home". It was a risky choice for the more conservative Hakea community, but she performed it with English being her second language. But it was an inspired choice, particularly given the other performing artists had chosen trading folk songs and ballads. At the end of her performance, the crowd applause filled Jigay's heart. Although the Hakea community was small, the praise from her peers encouraged her more. She grew more confident as the set continued. Singing a cover of Rosa's "You're Still the One" found her rhythm and knew instantly popular music was her calling.

Jigay toured locally, continuing to perform in churches and in local concerts. She began moving up the running order towards headline act. Last November at the Raindance Festival, Jigay was third top billing, and she had begun to write and perform her own material.

(The Deepest Shade of) Blue

Music by Marriyang : Lyrics by Jigay

You Say
"It's all over now,
this is the end",
I say
"what 'bout our vows,
I used to depend,
on you,
Like a liferaft,
now in the deepest of blues,
I don't want to drown,
I'm confused."

It's like the colour of your eyes
I feel me drown, drown, drown, drown,
I'm like a boat that has capsized,
I am up-side down,
reaching for you now,
The waves crashing all around,
oooh
Bathed in blue.

Bathed in blue, blue, oooh,
blue, blue, oooh,
blue, blue, oooh,
I'm in the deepest shade of blue, whoa,
blue, blue, oooh,
blue, blue, oooh,
blue, blue, oooh,
I'm in the deepest shade of blue,
Don't let me sink now.

When we started out,
you were calm and still,
Beyond the shore,
deep and cold and chill,
oh yeah,
Now the wind picks up,
catches the sail
and pushes me to blue

It's like the colour of your eyes
I feel me drown, drown, drown, drown,
I'm like a boat that has capsized,
I am up-side down,
Reaching for you now,
The waves crashing all around,
oooh
Bathed in blue.

Bathed in blue, blue, oooh,
blue, blue, oooh,
blue, blue, oooh,
I'm in the deepest shade of blue, whoa,
blue, blue, oooh,
blue, blue, oooh,
blue, blue, oooh,
I'm in the deepest shade of blue,
Don't let me sink now.

It's like the colour of your eyes,
I feel me drown, drown, drown,
It's like the colour of your eyes,
I feel me drown, drown, drown, drown,

Now you've said goodbye,
with a tear in your eye,
oooh ooh,
I can see the sky,
my eyes open wide,
oooh
I can see the blue

Bathed in blue, blue, oooh,
blue, blue, oooh,
blue, blue, oooh,
I'm in the deepest shade of blue, whoa,
blue, blue, oooh,
blue, blue, oooh,
blue, blue, oooh,
I'm in the deepest shade of blue,
Don't let me sink now.

blue, blue, oooh,
It's like the colour of your eyes,
blue, blue, oooh,
I feel me drown, drown, drown,
blue, blue, oooh,
It's like the colour of your eyes,

I'm in the deepest shade of blue,
Don't let me sink now.

PERFORMANCE

Jigay will be joined on stage with 4 backing dancer/singers.

They begin on stage in a V shape with Jigay at the front of the stage and the backing troupe behind.

Jigay is dressed in a gold faux alligator-skin dress and her troupe are dressed in simple olive colour outfits.

The postcard ends and the stage is in darkness. As the music kicks white lights spray across the stage and the audience. Before focusing on the entrant.

Jigay lifts her microphone and begins...

You Say
"It's all over now,
this is the end",
I say
"what 'bout our vows,
I used to depend,
on you,
Like a liferaft,
now in the deepest of blues,
I don't want to drown,
I'm confused."

As she sings the first verse, the nacking dancers look left and right and left again in perfect unison, indicating a dance routine may be imminent.

As the chorus begins, Jigay ptepares for the routine, plating her feet...

It's like the colour of your eyes
with her free hand, Jigay (mimicked by her backing troupe) pulls her hand across her eyes.

I feel me drown, drown, drown, drown,
Jigay dropes her hand down with each 'drown'

I'm like a boat that has capsized,
her free sand swings round her front moving her to side profile

I am up-side down,
Jigays free hand waves back over her head and the backing troupe do an backflip

reaching for you now,
Jigay swing herself back around to face the front reaching out into the audience

The waves crashing all around,
the free handpushes out to the side and Jigay turns to look the other way

oooh
Bathed in blue.

Jigay turns back to the audience

The stage lights and the lights in the auditorium turn blue as the second chorus begins...

Bathed in blue, blue, oooh,
blue, blue, oooh,
blue, blue, oooh,
I'm in the deepest shade of blue, whoa,
blue, blue, oooh,
blue, blue, oooh,
blue, blue, oooh,
I'm in the deepest shade of blue,
Don't let me sink now.

With each "blue, blue" the backing dancers make left to right and then right to left motions with their hands mimicking the waves of an ocean and with the "oooh" they snap back to the original starting position.

As Jigay sings "don't let me sink now" she drops onto one knee.

The second verse begins and Jigay slowly begins to rise back to her feet.... the she sways slightly as she sings.

When we started out,
you were calm and still,
Beyond the shore,
deep and cold and chill,
oh yeah,
Now the wind picks up,
catches the sail
and pushes me to blue

Jigay and her troupe repeat the same choreography as the choruses before as they sing

It's like the colour of your eyes
I feel me drown, drown, drown, drown,
I'm like a boat that has capsized,
I am up-side down,
Reaching for you now,
The waves crashing all around,
oooh
Bathed in blue.

Bathed in blue, blue, oooh,
blue, blue, oooh,
blue, blue, oooh,
I'm in the deepest shade of blue, whoa,
blue, blue, oooh,
blue, blue, oooh,
blue, blue, oooh,
I'm in the deepest shade of blue,
Don't let me sink now.

As Jigay begins to sing the bridge, her backing dancers move into a straight line formation along the front of the stage and repeat the relevant choreography as Jigay continues...

It's like the colour of your eyes,
I feel me drown, drown, drown,
It's like the colour of your eyes,
I feel me drown, drown, drown, drown,

The music slows somewhat, and for the televisual viewers the camera focusses solely on the face of Jigay as she sings...

Now you've said goodbye,
with a tear in your eye,
oooh ooh,
I can see the sky,
my eyes open wide,
oooh
I can see the blue

As she sings, "I can see the blue", Jigay breaks eyecontact with the camera and looks to the heavens. As she finishes the verse, the camera zooms out to a full stage shot, and the troupe continue with their choreography.

Bathed in blue, blue, oooh,
blue, blue, oooh,
blue, blue, oooh,
I'm in the deepest shade of blue, whoa,
blue, blue, oooh,
blue, blue, oooh,
blue, blue, oooh,
I'm in the deepest shade of blue,
Don't let me sink now.

As the outro begins, the backing troupe provide vocals continuing the 'blue' of the chorus with the same choreography, as Jigay's vocal soars...

blue, blue, oooh,

It's like the colour of your eyes,
blue, blue, oooh,

I feel me drown, drown, drown,
blue, blue, oooh,

It's like the colour of your eyes,

As the song ends, Jigay finishes with her final lines...

I'm in the deepest shade of blue,
Don't let me sink now.

With that the music ends, as does her performance.

The troupe crowd round her and Jigay and her friends jump up and down together in delight at their performance, before heading offstage.

Anna Yaramenkova Melničikova was born in the city of Dovgorodia to Polkopian parents, Fyodor and Mariya. She grew up the youngest of four children and is the only one to have attended a higher education institution. Following her completion of high school, Anna went on to make her debut on a small-budget Polkopian television series, Vna Za Grozotu (Eng: Beyond the Horizon), where she played the best friend of Radia, the show's main character. Despite initial ratings of the show being high, the show's run lasted only two short seasons before being taken off of the air. Despite this minor setback in Anna's acting career, there was a silver lining in all of this which would help to launch her career as a singer. In the show's finale, Anna performed the lead on the show's only original musical number, earning her widespread praise across various social media platforms across Polkopia for her performance. Her natural talent in this industry resulted in several universities across the nation to offer Anna scholarships in order to join their program. After many weeks of careful deliberation, Anna settled on a more local university in Dovgorodia, where she would pursue her desired specialty. While it did take Anna a total of five years in order to receive her Bachelor's degree, she walked out of her university with a major in music production and two minors as well, with one being in vocal arts, and the other in songwriting. The immense dedication Anna gave toward her studies resulted in her receiving the upmost respect and admiration from several of her professors. Shortly after graduation, one of her professors reached out and offered her a position at the Zvela Record Label as an intern. She didn't know it yet, but her tenure as an intern would be some of the most valuable and life-changing years of her life.

In the beginning of her internship, Anna worked 18 hours a week, doing mundane tasks like filing papers, fetching coffee and water, and assisting with notetaking for some of the executives in meetings. She had seen some of Polkopia's more well-known artists in passing and witnessed some of the procedures needed in order to produce a song. After a couple of months of being sidelined for most of these procedures, Anna was asked to sit in on a vocal recording session of Polkopian group Fluency's new album, Haverhill. During this time, her normal 18 hour work-week turned into a 60 hour work-week and she was forced to take off two weeks of work from her other job as a bartender. Be that as it may, she was able to see some of the techniques she learned as a student be put into action, and worked closely with one of the employees, Stefen Yurić as the pair worked in order to deliver a sound for Fluency that satisfied everyone. Once the final project was completed, the company applauded Anna for her professionalism and knowledge on the foundations of the industry, and invited her to sit in on the next recording session. Of course, she accepted, and once again, worked with Yurić as they recorded Yalia Kapčak's album, Seven Nights. Once the session was complete, the company decided to take Anna on as a permanent addition to the company, where she was given a comfortable salary, complete with benefits and everything she had wanted from the company. It seemed as if though Anna's dream was fully realized, but it was only going to get better for her in the upcoming months.

By her sixth month as a permanent employee at the Zvela Record Label, Anna was working with artists by herself in order to deliver perfect sounds from the artists' recording sessions in the studio. During this time, Yurić had floated the idea about perhaps helping Anna record something as well, but Anna had been far too busy with her own work to give it any serious consideration. One slow week, however, was all she needed, and during this week, she recorded the demo for a song she had wrote herself, "Bridges". Though the song was never properly released, Anna got a feel for what it was like to record songs in a professional studio and began devoting her free time to get back into the habit of writing songs, something that she had neglected to do since graduation. It was during this time that she had written most of the song, "Puls' Serdtsa", but had withheld recording it, as she felt as if though it was unfinished. Here, she brought it to Yurić, who she had developed a close friendship with outside of work, and together, they decided to bring in a rapper to "finish" Anna's song. Their decision on who to bring in to feature was Draako, who had been featured on several other songs recorded by Zvela.

The song had far exceeded Anna's exceptions and she, with Yurić's full support, decided to submit the song for the upcoming Landa vy Polkopiya under the name An Na, which was Anna's new stage name. To everybody's delight, the song had been shortlisted to the final ten songs and An Na and Draako were to perform the song live in the second semi final. An Na was understandably nervous - it had been years since she had last performed a song in front of a live audience, and the mounting media attention was adding more and more pressure to her. Nevertheless, An Na used her connection at Zvela to find a dance instructor, as well as a vocal coach, who worked with her on maintaining breath control through a dance-heavy performance. Several weeks of non-stop training, along with long hours at the studio left An Na exhausted every night, but she persisted, determined to deliver a flawless performance on the night of the semi final. With the date growing closer by the day, so was the pressure. An Na refused any interviews with the media prior to the performance, certain that any unwanted attention would lead to her losing focus of what was really important here. She wanted to make a name for herself, yes, and any media attention would only bolster her chances at this, however she had plenty of time for all of that after she achieved this milestone. She wasn't so focused on qualifying, more so doing the very best she could do. On the night of the semi final, she was scheduled to perform last, a position which An Na dreaded, but she sucked it up and executed a near-perfect performance onstage. Despite a few missteps in the choreography and nearly bumping into several of the background dancers as a result, she sailed through to the final. The next performance was a little better, but in her mind it still wasn't perfect. After winning, she expressed her excitement, of course, on winning the right to go to Worldvision, but in her mind there were several aspects that needed to improve if she were to give a respectable performance in Milano.

Backstage, the Polkopian team was frantically running about in order to set up any last-minute costume alterations before their performance. With Northern Beepee's performance just coming to a close and the Polkopian postcard appearing on the screen, An Na and her team were ushered onstage as Jigay and her team walked offstage, however the Polkopian team barely had enough time for a polite smile as they hurriedly took their places on stage. Regarding An Na's outfit, her label had previously laid out dozens of potential color schemes to go for and the team collectively decided that An Na, Draako, and the dancers would all sport a black and white look, while the staging dynamics would be responsible for all color to go on stage. An Na wore black and white pants with sturdy black shoes. She wore a long-sleeve, loose-fitting black chiffon top, which exposed her stomach. On one of the sleeves read "An Na" in large white letters. Her hair was done up in a high ponytail, yet still remained somewhat messy. Her makeup was light, save for some light blue eyeshadow and a foundation applied lightly on and around her face. Her dancers all wore plain tight-fitting white sweatpants and generic black tops. She took her place onstage, directly in the middle, surrounded by six background dancers - three on each side of her. Two of them knelt in front of her and looked forward, while An Na stood directly in the middle, with her foot on the shoulder of one of the dancers in front of her. The stage was competely dark at first, naturally, but once it lit up, the perimeter of the geometric shapes were colored in a deep purple, and flowers of all different colors were painted on the LED floor. A spotlight illuminated An Na and the dancers as the instrumental introduction played and the camera panned closer to them.

As the frontal camera panned at them from the very front of the stage, the group nodded in unison in-sync with the beat. Once An Na started singing, the two dancers that were kneeling slid to either side of her and positioned themselves at the ends of the 'line' of people and faced the edges of the stage. An Na, meanwhile, took the hand of one of the dancers as he led her forward, she turned so that her back was to him and 'fainted', closing her eyes and placing the backside of her hand on her forehead as she bent one of her knees and leaned back against her dancer. She did all of this by the time she finished the second line in the first verse. She then strutted forward, in front of all of her dancers, and led the next portion of the choreography. She ran her hand down from her chest to her inner thigh before rolling her head back along her shoulders. The background dancers did the same, though the camera focused primarily on An Na as she did this. Though the initial camera angle showed the group from a frontal view, it soon transitioned to an aerial one and showed the latest part of the dance from up above.

Na krayu vmeste miy tansevali
We danced together on the edge all night

I've got you on my mind
Rit'im na kotoriy če dvižgali
The rhythm that we moved to

Lasted through the night.

The dancers moved forward and hoisted An Na above their heads. An Na, meanwhile stuck out one of her legs in front of her while her other leg was bent at the knee and her foot positioned under her. Her arms stuck out on either side of her body as her dancers carried her to the left side of the stage. For the last two lines of the verse, the dancers placed her down and she did a cartwheel in front of them, all while maintaining vocal stability throughout the endeavor, resulting in a wave of applause from those closest to the stage. The dancers moved back toward the middle of the stage and An Na joined them, winked, and tapped her temple with her index finger as she sang the final line.

Ta skai mene, čito tiy že disvitel'no vraš,
So tell me what it is you really want,

I wonder how you feel.
'Te nado dat mene prosto baby,
You need to give it to me straight baby

No messing with my head.

The camera changed to an aerial view of An Na and her dancers again. During this segment of the song, the LED floor pattern changed so only a circular pattern was present, again showing an assortment of different vibrant flowers, with An Na positioned in the center of the circle. The dancers meanwhile, positioned themselves along the perimeter of the circle and, in unison, threw rose petals in the air. The camera panned in as the petals fell on and around An Na. She looked up at the camera, smiled, and made flirtatious gestures toward it. As the camera panned in, the LED pattern rotated, giving viewers from home the illusion that An Na was moving when, in reality, it was just the LED floor's animation.

No kudga mužiku prestat i sveti če taškali
But when the music stops and the lights dim

Est' tol'ko odno zvek, čito bol'plavit moyi uvi
There is only one sound that floods my ears

The dancers moved forward and hoisted An Na up, holding her by her back as she maintained her flirtatious attitude toward the aerial camera. She slut her eyes and allowed both of her hands to delicately grace her face before moving up to her hair and all the way up to her scalp, pushing back any loose hairs that came undone from her ponytail. The dancers set her down and she strutted to the front of the stage with her dancers right behind her as she sang the last line of the song's pre-chorus.

I ya vram pričat v svyova i izgubyayu kontrol'
And I want to take it in and lose control

No p'tom časa manyašamo ya can't take no more
But after hours of teasing I can't take no more

The background LED screen exploded in a heap of colorful watercolors moving across the scream, while the geometric stage pieces displayed the same LED patterns that were present on the floor of the stage just moments before. The floor, meanwhile, was black except for a hexagonal pattern that was outlined in a dark purple line. The choreography for the chorus started, meanwhile, led by An Na in the front and followed by her dancers behind her, all dancing in-sync with one another. First, An Na stood sideways to the camera and loosely threw up one arm over her head, followed by her other arm, before turning around 270°to face the camera. During the 'boom boom boom' part, she placed her hands on her chest and pumped out her chest quickly three times. She then did a high kicks, throwing her arms behind her, sticking her left arm to her side, then her right arm, and then bringing her hands to her chest again for the next 'boom boom boom'. The next bit had her half-squat for an instance, bringing only one of her legs down to a full-squat position while her other leg stuck out to her side. She swung her head to the side so that only her profile was visible to the camera in this instance. At the first 'hey', one of the dancers (the one on the far side toward the direction in which she was looking) stood up on one of his hands, kicking his feet above his head. As she sung the fourth line, she brought her leg in so that she was fully squatting now, and held her thumb and index finger in an L shape, holding it to her chin. For the last line, she dropped her body three times, holding her arms together above her head as she did so, before beating her chest twice with her fists and extending them out to the camera.

During the next line, she got back to a standing position, but did so slowly. As she stood back up, she moved her hands to be level with her shoulders and "fanned" herself off, looking at the ground and narrowing her brow as she did so. She was serving pure sex appeal to the camera and she wanted to really give it everything she had for this performance. She moved her hands together in an upside-down diamond shape and placed them on her chest, moving them down to her inner thighs, and swinging her head back as she did so. The background dancers each placed a hand on her shoulders as she did this, swinging their heads back only after she had completed her rotation. For the last line, she held up a hand to her ear, while her other hand extended above her head and proceeded to rapidly swing in a circle in front of her body. She bent her knees and stomped three times in-sync with the beat as she did this all.

Tvoy puls' serdtsa khod boom boom boom
Your heartbeat goes boom boom boom

All I can hear is the boom boom boom
Play it for me
(Hey)
Over for me (Hey)
Boom boom boom, your heartbeat!

And I can feel the rhythm, oh you lift me off my feet
Of your heartbeat
And I'll play it on repeat

Draako entered the stage from the back-left and started rapping his verse. He approached An Na, who placed her hand on his shoulder and started at him, smirking, moving backwards as he moved forward. Draako, meanwhile, maintained intense eye contact with her while the background dancers continued dancing their choreography. The background, meanwhile, stopped showing the vibrant background and was replaced with the same black and purple hexagonal pattern that was displayed on the floor earlier. The geometric stage pieces showed pictures of dahlias against a black background. Also present in this image were dark green leaves falling behind these flowers. Throughout Draako's verse, he'd move around An Na, who, meanwhile, would hold onto him, never losing eye contact with him. At the very end, An Na ran behind the dancers as Draako ran forward and extended his free hand, shut his eyes, and belted the last note.

Move your body close to me
I'ma move right up to you and swing my hips up into you, girl you taste to sweet
Come on, come right over to me, I'ma make you feel good all night.
Hearing my heartbeat, every night all night, play it on repeat, got her drippin' like an ocean
She-she-she-she-she gone stay tonight... gonna do this right and feel the fire!

During these next few lines of the buildup, An Na and her group of dancers marched forward in a triangular position, with An Na at the very front. The camera zoomed along the bottom edge of the stage's perimeter and those on stage maintained a stoic expression, looking forward as if they didn't even notice the camera was right next to them. The lighting almost completely dimmed, save for the spotlight illuminating An Na and her dancers, and the purple lines of the hexagonal patterns illuminated so that they, along with those on stage, were the only things visible to the audience.

No kudga mužiku prestat i sveti če taškali
But when the music stops and the lights dim

Est' tol'ko odno zvek, čito bol'plavit moyi uvi
There is only one sound that floods my ears

On the background LEDs, a purple heart appeared front and center and started beating. The hexagonal patterns remained on the floor and behind the heart on the LEDs, and the flowers remained on the geometric shapes along the edges of the stage. For the choreography during this bit, while remaining in the triangular formation, An Na and her dancers leaned backwards so their bodies were almost at a 90° angle. The two dancers that were on the back end of the triangle each did a cartwheel toward the opposite end of the triangle and knelt down once they had finished. For the last line of the pre-chorus here, she walked forward and "slapped" the camera so that it spun around and then transitioned to another view for the chorus.

I ya vram pričat v svyova i izgubyayu kontrol'
And I want to take it in and lose control

No p'tom časa manyašamo ya can't take no more
But after hours of teasing I can't take no more

Like it had done during the previous chorus, the LEDs exploded into a vibrant heap of all different colors, only this time, the purple heart from before remained front and center of it all. Pyros exploded from the perimeter as the chorus started as well, resulting in an excited cheer from the crowd who was already dancing, waving their flags, and singing along to An Na's song. An Na and her dancers repeated the same choreographed movements as they did during the previous chorus, but the lighting and camera angles were much more intense now than before. For example, during every 'boom', the lights would quickly lighten up and the camera would jolt forward, before returning to normal once the 'booms' were finished, only to start again once they resumed.

Tvoy puls' serdtsa khod boom boom boom
Your heartbeat goes boom boom boom

All I can hear is the boom boom boom
Play it for me
(Hey)
Over for me (Hey)
Boom boom boom, your heartbeat!

And I can feel the rhythm, oh you lift me off my feet
Of your heartbeat
And I'll play it on repeat

During the song's breakdown, An Na fell to her knees with her hands on either side of her head. The dancers walked in a circle around her, staring at her with seemingly contempt expressions on their faces. The lights were completely dark, save for the purple lines outlining the hexagonal pattern, and on the floor, there appeared a purple and white spiral pattern, with An Na sitting at the center of it. The spiral moved ever so slightly as she sang. An Na, meanwhile, closed her eyes and sang, expressions of concern, frustration, and doubt all present on her face in one form or another.

Play-ay-ay-ay yo-ur heartbeat
Oh no no, I'm losing control
Play-ay-ay-ay yo-ur heartbeat
Play it for me, over for me

Right before An Na sang this next line, the dancers all sprinted away from her, running in all different directions, and jets of fire jetted out from the perimeter of the stage and remained there for as long as An Na held the note. The purple lines on the LED screens turned into a deep amber color and the heart reappeared in the same hue. Golden lines were streaked along the heart and bright rays of golden light shot out from these lines and across the stage. Golden glitter rained from above as well, coating the stage floor in it all.

I'll dance to your heartbeat...

As An Na held the note, the background singers (who were not visible) sang the first line of the chorus. The dancers returned to the stage and began the same choreography as they did during the other choruses. An Na stepped in front of them and joined them once she finished belting out her note. The dramatic lighting and camera movements from the previous chorus were also present here, only every time she sang "boom" a small ball of fireworks exploded from the ceiling of the stage. The dancers all stopped in their places right before An Na sang the very last line of the song, at which point, she extended her arm out in front of her and brought it above her head, before giving a final pose once the song was over.

Tvoy puls' serdtsa khod boom boom boom
Your heartbeat goes boom boom boom

All I can hear is the boom boom boom
Play it for me
(Hey)
Over for me (Hey)
Boom boom boom, your heartbeat!

And I can feel the rhythm, oh you lift me off my feet
Of your heartbeat
And I'll play it on repeat

I'll dance to your heartbeat!

The song ended and An Na's chest rose and fell heavily as she was finally allowed to catch her breath. "Thank-!" She tried saying into the microphone, but had to catch her breath for one more moment. "Thank you, Milano! We love you!" She said before laughing and hugging her team, before all of them departed the stage.

Eitan Carreira - Melody
إيتان كريرا - لحن | איתן קריירה - מנגינה

Language: English
Lyrics & Composition: Eitan Carreira

To the Tune Of - Joel Corry x MNEK - Head and Heart

Eitan Carreira wasn't supposed to be the winner of Kdam-WorldVision... well he was, but he also wasn't. Upon the announcement of the results, it turned out Eitan had finished second to Dani Korperar, by a narrow margin of just two points. The trophy had been awarded to Dani, with various media speculation about how the Kishraeli delegation would improve on the song for the contest itself. The media circus became a swirling hurricane two days later however when it was revealed that the votes had been calculated wrong, specifically the televote from Mocha had been removed. Of course, Eitan was the only act in the contest from the town of Mocha and commanded high levels of local support. Indeed, the votes from Mocha pushed him over and above the points total of Dani Korperar, and he was thus announced as the winner. It became something of a scandal in HARESHET as to how this could happen, and certainly was not helpful for the network given the wider public sentiment for nationalisation (HARESHET remained a private network without government intervention, however slow encroachment by the ruling parties had threatened its independent status). This mishap fired up anti-private sentiment, and while not leading to any major resignations or changes in status, made the job of justifying a profit-making network all the more harder. In any case, this wasn't about the network, this was about Eitan. While he was disappointed that he didn't have the opportunity to enjoy his victory on stage, the fact that he did still have the huge opportunity to go to the WorldVision Song Contest, which of course was the ultimate prize at Kdam. While Kishraeli fortunes had been mixed recently, for a relatively unknown singer, the experience and opportunity to expose themselves to the world was almost priceless. Equally, being signed to a government recording agency afterwards also provided a lot of stability for aspiring Kishraeli musicians, who knew they had something of a safety net while also expressing their creativity. This would all await Eitan if he was to be successful - it had happened most recently to Lika Dia, Sandy Santini and Kafeh Shahor, all of whom had gone onto successful domestic and international careers.

The contest was hosted in Milano, Besen, after a close and intense host voting which saw Valletta come close to hosting its second contest. Milano was a grand European-style city, with dazzling renaissance architecture and a friendly Mediterranean vibe. The latter made it easy for Eitan and the team to fit in with the locals, and they made extensive use of the time they had to pack in lots of sightseeing and tasting local cuisine. A fun picture outside Anira's Cathedral circulated on the HARESHET social media channels, receiving a few shares and likes. Of course, they were there for business, and Eitan, as a new face on the music scene, was determined to put in the work to make sure he stood out. Work was not just the stage show however; press and media was just as important in making sure that you would be well received in future. In doing so many media appearances, he actually became much more comfortable on stage, which was important as his performance involved a lot of movement, not necessarily by him, but rather he had cues that needed to be met for a seamless show.

The stage in Milano was beautiful. Somewhat compact, the LED variety gave the delegation an excellent chance to try out new and exciting arrangements for the song. The crux of the performance was to be based on dancing and movement, as of course, the song was a typical club song, however the light show was important in bringing the performance together, and indeed expanding the stage so that it gave the overall offering an anthemic quality. The final offering was the best package HARESHET thought they could offer, and Eitan was equally pleased about how the performance would go. Following Polkopia was never an easy task, but that is how the draw had fallen and thus it was done. The crowd as expected was crazy for the Polkopian song, and they must have been confident of another top-10 finish. Equally however, Kishraeli music was known in Besen, and especially after recent WorldVisions where Besenian voters had supported Kishraeli artists. The huge applause continued for Eitan as the postcard was shown around the arena and to all the home televisions. Now was the moment he had been waiting for... finally he was going to perform his song on the big stage... what an amazing feeling! He was wearing a black leather jacket that had black tassels on the arms with a long white shirt, blacked ripped jeans, and a black pair of boots - it was a somewhat modest outfit, but slightly high-brow enough for the stage. The song started and the stage began shooting silvery flashes through the "wings" of the stage. The rest of the stage was illuminated in hues of grey and white. Eitan put the microphone to his lips, widened his gate and began singing the song he'd composed himself on the biggest stage in the world.

If someone could ever feel for you just like I do
And someone could feel for me in the way you love me too
You would go off to him and I would go to her
But here we are and I like what we feel for each other
For each other

The hues on the stage gradually turned more violet, then purple, then to an even deeper purple. The backing screens showed a somewhat starry background imprinted on these purple LEDs. The wing structures began shooting purple through themselves in time with the beat of the song. At the same time, mist came from Eitan's ankles, covering the bottom of the stage in a pretty fog. Small wind machines from the sides made it swirl gently at the edges, softening the overall visual. As Eitan sung, he would do some ad-libbing, closing his eyes and gesticulating with his hand. He never lost his smile as he sung though, and this was the purest demonstration of the emotions running through his brain as he performed on the stage. While this was occuring, Eitan was singing the chorus in the dark, his vocals strengthened by some backing singers to give them a slight echo effect. Despite not being visible, he was feeling the rhythm and smiling along as he looked out onto the crowd.

You had the courage to love someone like me
Played my out-of-tune heart perfectly
And it became a beautiful melody
So I thank you for being the one who is loving me

As he finished the bridge, the almost whiplash into the chorus began. As he sung "And I love you", the stage was thrust into black, with pink, blue and purple strobe lights emerging from the sides and pointing outwards. From behind Eitan emerged four dancers, and they were only visible because their outfits had been equipped with hundreds of small lights. Their actual forms were completely invisible, but instead their movements were captured through the light silhouette. They all danced the same routine, highly choreographed and in sync. Their lights flashed together in an ombre effects, the colours running into the next dancer's outfit, with pulsing and flashing effects too to cut up the movements.

And I love you
Ba-ba-ba-dum ba-ba-dum ba-ba-dum
Ba-ba-ba-dum ba-ba-dum ba-ba-da-dum
'Cause I love you
Ba-ba-ba-dum ba-ba-dum ba-ba-dum
Ba-ba-ba-dum ba-ba-dum ba-ba-da-dum

With the song coming back to the verses, the stage became purple once again, but did not turn back to the previous white. The smoke machine had continued to pump out fog, and so the dancers who were previous doing their routine, dropped to the floor and hid under it, so as to not expose their LED covered outfits. Purple lights pulsed from underneath the fog, creating an effect almost like localised thunder and lightning, especially from the shots angled slightly downwards. Eitan again began to feel himself with the rhythm, opening his eyes as he sung "Habibi" and gesturing to the camera with a wink and an extended arm.

Ohhh! Someone in another world would call it lunacy
The way we laugh, the way we cry
Our body talk's fluency
Ooooh! Habibi, habibi two hearts and just one path
Then what we have burning running on smoke and ash
On smoke and ash

As the bridge came back, two female dancers without LED's emerged from out of the mist. Wearing modern looking visors over their faces, they both held an LED ring each, one in pink and one in blue. They performed something of a rhythmic gymnastics routine either side of Eitan, as he focused straight ahead on the performance. His gate was still wide, and he still commanded the centre of the stage despite all that was happening around him.

You had the courage to love someone like me
Played my out-of-tune heart perfectly
And it became a beautiful melody
So I thank you for being the one who is loving me

For the chorus, the dancers in the mist burst back out, and formed up in a line either side of Eitan. The stage went dark again and their LED's flashed once again in an ombre effect. Also, the dancer's LED's would take turns flashing on and off in a row, giving a cool glitchy effect. On top of that, the screen at home had small glitches in the corner with blue squares. While the LED dancers continued their choreographed routine, the female dancers (who didn't have LED's attached) had held their LED lights in front of Eitan's face. This did not obscure his face, but rather looped around it perfectly, so his face was perfectly visible and bathed in a purple-blue hue. He sang the chorus like this, with shots going from his face, to the dancers, and even at times split screens.

And I love you
Ba-ba-ba-dum ba-ba-dum ba-ba-dum
Ba-ba-ba-dum ba-ba-dum ba-ba-da-dum
'Cause I love you
Ba-ba-ba-dum ba-ba-dum ba-ba-dum
Ba-ba-ba-dum ba-ba-dum ba-ba-da-dum
And I love you
Ba-ba-ba-dum ba-ba-dum ba-ba-dum
Ba-ba-ba-dum ba-ba-dum ba-ba-da-dum
'Cause I love you
Ba-ba-ba-dum ba-ba-dum ba-ba-dum
Ba-ba-ba-dum ba-ba-dum ba-ba-da-dum

With the final part of the song, the LED dancers were turned dimmer but they did not drop to the floor, rather they stood equidistant, slowly rotating their body at their hips with their arms stretched. Their colours were dimmed to more muted purple tones, so the focus was on Eitan's face in the hoops. He closed his eyes, and looked up to the ceiling as he hit the final long note. As the song came back to life, the dancers through their hoops up into the air, where the hoops split and became 4 from 2. Fireworks shot out from the stage, and Eitan was blasted with colour on the stage.

So play it again
That sweet melody
We'll call it our song
So play it again
Because

Now Eitan was illuminated by a spotlight. The dancers either side of him began to move again, with their LED's once again shining brighter and more vibrant as they moved their bodies in time. Eitan now joined them, grabbing the microphone off the stand and dancing the same routine as his supporting artists. The stage had a huge joyful feel, and the pink and blue and purple spread out over the crowd. The wing shot through rainbow colours, cutting through the noise of the typical palette of the performance.

'Cause I love you
Ba-ba-ba-dum ba-ba-dum ba-ba-dum
Ba-ba-ba-dum ba-ba-dum ba-ba-da-dum
And I love you
Ba-ba-ba-dum ba-ba-dum ba-ba-dum
Ba-ba-ba-dum ba-ba-dum ba-ba-da-dum

The camera came back to just Eitan, standing in position. Smiling straight ahead, he sung again the very first introductory verse, and arguably his favourite. It felt almost cathartic to make a full 360 circle with his song. There was a huge sense of joy and energy on stage and in the arena and this energy was reflected in how Eitan performed back to the crowd. To finish he reached out his hand, did a skippy jump and fireworks fired out of the stage on the last note.

If someone could ever feel for you just like I do
And someone could feel for me in the way you love me too
You would go off to him and I would go to her
But here we are and I like what we feel for each other
'Cause I love you

That was it! The crowd erupted in cheers for Eitan who had truly done the best job he could. His dancers quickly converged on him, jumping and hugging each other. He managed to eek out a "thank you,... Bes-ee ahhhh" before they were jumping off as a huddle towards the side of the stage. The Besenian crowd, as well as the decent contingent of Kishraeli fans who were cheering extra loud, were going crazy for the performance. For those predisposed to dance, they had just had two great entries from Polkopia and Ertzei Kishim, and they were feeling their party fantasy.

1984: Main Nation Ministry
Marcus Doctorow (Song Written by The Leader) - Big Brother
Tune: Jonathan Coulton - Shop Vac
Language: English

Background: After a hiatus from WorldVision, Main Nation Ministry decided to bring back onto the multiverse national song competition with a tribute to the overall power of dystopia. While Jessica Madden was willing to be a part of WorldVision 84's performance for Main Nation Ministry, The Leader decided to take control, as he gotten the creative talent to do some songwriting. While he couldn't sing the performance, he had his men within the Ministry comb the ranks for any interested musicians willing to sing a written masterpiece of his. One lucky man was Marcus Doctorow, a soldier who is known for singing in a folk and indie tune.

For Doctorow, he grew up in a forest sector not far from Bright Falls. A self-proclaimed major fanboy of the nationally acclaimed comic book series of Azerty, along with being a computer programmer for some websites that didn't get any cease and desist from any internet regulation networks in the Ministry, Doctorow earned the Leader's attention, where after discussion over the song, went ahead with the composition, practicing before the big day. Doctorow shared his side of the story, where he spoke with some journalists from The Truth News.

"I'm really honored to be performing for WorldVision. While we have been out of commission for like the past 3 WorldVisions, I think that we're still an unique entry, due to the style and genre we're playing as. To be easily set apart for the other performances is what makes us still memorable. Jessica Madden checked in with me to see what we were playing, but she was still happy with the tune being played, even though the song was written by the Leader. I know the bad blood with her and the Leader, but at least she still serves as a heavy part of the music culture in Main Nation Ministry. I did get in trouble in the past for trying to upload some of my earlier homemade songs to the internet, but I wouldn't get into detail there. All you need to know that the Ministry allowed me to perform for their comeback."

Since the Leader was declared the official songwriter for "Big Brother", Truth News also spoke a word with him over the concept and meaning of the song.

"The best way to describe the song is that it's somewhat of a love song of ordinary people in a reality similar to the one that I control back to Main Nation Ministry. I like to imagine their situation closer to the real life of some other nations, despite themselves not being listed as a dystopia. In other words, it shows life would be no different than mine, even with circumstances. So as the relationship unfolds, the singer or the narrator is trying to help their lover or spouse to open up, so they don't have to feel isolated by everyone else. Then again, someone is going to have their own interpretation of the song, hearing it as someone else."

(OOC: Here's a fun game to play. Count all of the 1984 references and guess which other dystopian book I referenced.)

After the postcard is shown, the stage floor is shown to appear as an aerial view of a city grid, where in the background, there was an outline of a city skyline, as shown on the wings of the stage in the back. Near the middle of the stage had Marcus Doctorow with an electric guitar, where some other musicians (mainly soldiers from the military) had other instruments for the song, positioned nearby Doctorow. Doctorow was standing inside of a bedroom set, turned diagonal, as it would only saw the two walls and the floor of the bedroom. The bedroom, being loaded with some easter eggs relating to Main Nation Ministry's past visits to WorldVision can be found inside. As the camera was positioned in the back of the audience, the camera would start to move forward to the stage, where Doctorow made an opening riff, where the song would begin. The first part of the song is made to act as opening to the narrator's story, serving as a phonecall to reassure the one person they know and love.

You should have taken a different route
Doublethinking your problems out
You been thinking a tad bit a lot in your thoughts

But we are part of the new trends
I can tell you of the newspeak that my friends share

I know a room that we can enjoy some fun
Helping you with a class of one-o-one
When the session is all done, you will be with us black and white

For the chorus, the background and stage change to show two panels on each side of the wings. For the first chorus, the words "WAR" and "PEACE" are presented on stage on the panels, being displayed. The color scheme of the stage is more lighter, where the stage floor now white, where red and yellow lines in a pattern is shown on the back of the stage to give a 60's and 70's feel. Doctorow jumps off from the bedroom stage to move to the front of the stage, delivering the chorus.

On the telescreen
Being famous
With you and me

We can start a war that can last forever
When Big Brother is watching you now

The backup singers and other musicians present, sing a single line of lyrics for the chorus, which they can easily be heard to the audience and viewers.

(Keep in mind, Big Brother is really watching us now)

As the chorus reaches the midway point, the stripe pattern in the back, along with the panels showing the words would start to show eye symbols staring back at the audience to represent the survillance nature of Main Nation Ministry.

You're more than a prole
Being infamous
For our party

We can start some peace that can last forever
When Big Brother is watching you now

The stage changes again, where the stage wings and back are displayed to show a dark blue backdrop with light blue digital rain coming down, resembling shooting stars in a night sky. Marcus stays at the front of the stage, as the bedroom stage is no longer need.

You are stuck in a memory hole
There's nothing left for you to control
Perhaps two minutes of hate made you forget joy
There is a whole week to hate things
Makes you blind to see a place without darkness

If you know the knowledge without the heat
Smart minds that we share on repeat
I'll buy you coffee and a treat, under the spreading chestnut tree

Cue the chorus and the same stage appearance and design. Difference is the words displayed on the panels showcase "FREEDOM" and "SLAVERY".

On the telescreen
Being famous
With you and me

We can make you free, but it would not matter
When Big Brother is watching you now
(Keep in mind, Big Brother is really watching us now)

You're more than a prole
Being infamous
For our party

We can make you a slave, but you never care
When Big Brother is watching you now

For the bridge for the last set of verses, the next section appears more of a criticism of people failing to understand that some things shouldn't be repeated, where the section specifically criticizes the ones who end up becoming similar to their own enemies, while being clueless or ignorant to this. To add to the message, the last two lyric sets questions if their decision to ignore or be unaware of past events is what is causing their bad decisions. Mainly, it's simply the Leader repeated theme and trope of slamming the people he perceives as hypocrites for presenting their nations better than others, despite the fact that the overall conditions of said hypocrites are much worse and only cause discourse and divide among those who live in them. For this part, the stage is still shown to be white, but the lyrics of the bridge are present on the panels on each side of the stage.

Why is dystopia used as an instruction manual?
Because people never could learn
Maybe a pill of soma makes them forget in their world
Away from a brave new world

Marcus launches into a guitar solo, where some of the song's music notes are shown on the panels. Afterwards, the stage is shown to be the aerial view of the city. This time, the city is shown to be in the afternoon, where during this part of the song, part of the Leader's own past speeches have spliced into the background to add to the song.

The past is for us to control
The bells at Saint Clements church toll
The best books are the ones that you already know
If you want to keep a secret
I help you hide it from yourself in cold April
There are no heroes in the face of pain
Where all the fears of villians reign
Love is that we all need, but you only want to be understood

The last chorus of the song. For the panels, they display "IGNORANCE" and "STRENGTH".

On the telescreen
Being famous
With you and me

You are full of ignorance being right here
When Big Brother is watching you now
(Keep in mind, Big Brother is really watching us now)

You're more than a prole
Being infamous
For our party

You are full of strength from the hope that you give
When Big Brother is watching you now

After the song finished, there was applause from the audience, along with the Main Nation Ministry's section of the crowd. Some soldiers from the Ministry were nearby to make sure their audience were really clapping. The Leader had some men throw some golden confetti onto the stage for Doctorow and the other musicians on the stage. For that, it was a comeback for Main Nation Ministry.

My overall account that I use for P2TM and even for international roleplaying! MNM is a mysterious and extremely dangerous dictatorship filled with supernatural oddities, demons, militarized soldiers everywhere, and a misanthropic nihilistic dictator who doesn't give a damn. It's basically if the SCP Foundation got mixed with 1984.

As the jury results came in Malta Comino Gozo found themselves at their highest placing so far in the competition. Hopes were running high and it was anyone's to play for. One by one the Televotes started to feed in, more and more countries were announced with MCG not being one of them. Tensions were high in the MCG area of the green room. The cameras switching to each and every act left to be announced. Jakob sat nervously with his team. Sweat building up on his forehead, his stomach churning. Another country was announced , another chance nearer to winning. Then, in 12th position Malta Comino Gozo was announced, a huge "Oooh" resonated out amongst the audience and the 400K people watching it who had tuned in back home could be heard. Malta Comino Gozoans who were now screaming with excitement as MCG jumped to the top of the board were suddenly now realising that another Eleven countries were yet to be announced. They were not going to hang onto the top spot for long. Families and fans huddled together fingers crossed now for a top ten placing as MCG stayed at the top for two more results before slowing falling down the scoreboard in this close contest. Jakob upset at not being able to win, stared at the scoreboard as more results came in, he and the team watching to see where they would finish. Finally after all the results had come in MCG had finished a respectable eight! Jakob applauded " Kresnadewi " as they made their way to the stage, His team behind him rubbed his hair and patted his back. The mood had once again been replaced with a happier mood as the country had achieved yet another top ten placing. The next day Jakob and his team made the journey back to Malta Comino Gozo were they were met by thousands of screaming fans at the Airport. Jakob had thoroughly enjoyed his time in Llalta and the competition had been one of the highlights of his career so far.

As was the case MCG 1 would again pick the countries act internally. This time they were approached by Toto Rococo Records. They had the perfect singer and perfect song that had actually just been released the week prior and had already debuted at number 2 on the charts. MCG1 would normally approach singers and their management first, no the other way around. But as the two were good partners they obliged. The two teams gathered in the MCG Broadcasting House in Valletta, where Toto Rococo Records played the song to the MCG 1 and MCG Hod. Aris being a fairly shy girl didn't accompany them until the second meeting, so MCG 1 could meet her in person. MCG 1 HoD Tom Vella, and his team where hooked instantly by the power and forceful song that was force, and the message that was portrayed, it was unlike any song they had entered before, and they liked it. This was the track to send to Milano in Besen! Toto Rococo Records reported back to Aris that she would be representing MCG at WorldVision! There was an explosion in her brain the good sort, the type that carries more possibilities than she could be conscious of... but there were hundreds of ideas there in that buzz of electricity... she could feel it. It was the calling card of adventure, of paths awaiting her feet. Whatever was ahead could be a great challenge, and there could be tears, but it was her adventure to take and so she smiled.

Aris Mooe

Aris Mooe is an Malta Comino Gozoan singer, and songwriter. She is a multi-talented personality who entered the entertainment world at the tender age of just two years. Proclaiming her life to be a roller-coaster ride with constant work commitments from an early age, she quips that she “did not have a real life” while growing up. This gorgeous young lady from St Lucija was brought up in the Roman Catholic faith, the most dominant half of the Christian Faith in MCG. Like ghosts from rock ‘n’ roll lovers past, Aris Mooe and her bands aggressively provocative sound lingers between two worlds like Jekyll & Hyde, instantly hypnotising you.

Aris was born on 26 July 1992, in St Lucija in Malta Comino Gozo. Born to Colette and Aran Mooe, she has a sister, Sara who is an actor and a model. The two siblings were raised in the Roman Catholic religion with a convent education at the Lady of Lourdes School for elementary studies. She completed her high school education in Valletta from the much sought after Professional Performing Arts School. In her teens, she signed with MCG Models (2007) and in the subsequent years appeared in many TV commercials and was part of famous modelling photo shoots. She featured on the front cover of numerous fashion magazines across the nation Such as Delve and Abstract. She is also the brand girl for David Palatee's world famous perfume "Seductivity" ad campaign.

She is also a singer and guitarist. She along with Philip Owens who is another guitarist who will be present on stage. Her first album ‘Hurt me’ which was released November 2010 including number one hits such as "Fire" and "Mouth" and was a huge hit across Malta Comino Gozo and debuted at number 4 in charts before becoming Number 1 for over a month with over 8 million downloads across the multiverse.

Feeding a vigorous appetite for performing live, Aris Mooe has unfurled her rock punk infused high-octane live shows at notable festivals such as "Grind" and "Sound machine" Aris has also been on a lot of world tours since the release of her first album. Her large fan following has made these trips huge sensations in Elejamie and Normandy and Picardy whose support has seen her reach the top 10 in the Normand charts on occasion and perform at LaMusique, one of the country's largest festivals held near Rouenan, she has also been popular in many other countries.

As mentioned Aris is a shy girl, despite this when she is on stage a new confidence takes over For Aris, it was all about confidence and finding the right path that would allow her to grow both sides of herself, the outgoing side on the stage and the shy side. “I found writing and music. That’s where I am able to be honest and open about everything,” She says. “Find something you love and then go for it. Don’t be afraid to take risks. Go for what you want to achieve in your life and don’t be afraid of what people are going to say about it.” Aris had grown up with a love for Worldvision from an early age, WAY before her home country ever entered. She had always secretly wanted to take part and when Malta Comino Gozo debuted in the 76th Edition in the Achaean Republic, this dream became a little closer to becoming true. She had followed along religiously and was even present at the contest which was held in Valletta. The bright lights, the immense joyous crowds, the creativity and music from attending a WV spurred her on even more. She knew her record label had close ties to MCG1 so after many hefty discussions she convinced her team to talk to MCG1 as she was too shy to do so. She was a quiet reserved woman, coming alive only on stage, her aggression and moodiness all an act, she was actually a very caring loving young woman, something many people didn't get to see, as she was always having to stay in "character" for the cameras.

When asked about her entry, and difficult childhood by TV Host Ara Borg presenter of MCG1 Today, Aris responded with "Growing up has been such a baptism of fire. I have always asked "why?" and never shied from possible answers. I knew the truth would be out there somewhere. I never expected the truth to be cosy, but I demanded it just the same. There is still more to know but my mind is so full it's overflowing.
Part of growing up was forgiving and moving on, bitterness only hinders, never helps. I learnt to accept the flaws of those I hold dear and suffered the agony of releasing those incapable of controlling their negative urges. I have made myself a cocoon of sorts, a home of love that is my only raft in the storms that are now so visible around me. I can't wish to be a child again, though I know to you that's what I am. I must embrace the change and keep walking, never stop growing, never close my mind to new learning and enlightenment."

The powerful message of "Force" is from my own experience sadly, when I caught my then, boyfriend cheating on me. I felt rage! I felt let down! And I felt angry! Like there was a storm inside me! Rage, like deep water currents. I did everything right - everything and still he cheated! Everything he has is what I made and he squandered it. That's when my anger comes, unleashed without thought of consequence. Even those that didn't earn this wrath today earned it at some point. Every one of them took what I made without thanks or even a backwards glance. I reduce them to rubble with my lyrics, all of them shocked. Mild mannered me - a wicked tornado. I expect sorrow, apologies, regret, repentance... none comes. They are angry that their perceived "servant" has turned - apparently I have no right to the negative emotions they tout with pride on a daily basis." "Force", will be the first entry since WV79 that will include Maltese.

Journey to Milano

Aris and the delegation flew on one of MCG 1's private jets, on the 5 hour flight from Malta Comino Gozo International airport to Milano in Besen. The time onboard was spent planning and making notes about the show. It was midday, the worst time to arrive. As they came out of the plane, Aris felt the heat reflecting off the tarmac. It was hard to breathe. The air was heavy and smelled of diesel. She was sweating even before she had reached the bottom of the steps, and the public arrivals lounge offered no relief. The air-conditioning wasn't on and Aris soon found herself trapped in a confined space with two or three hundred people and no windows. She wasn't here for too long as the team escorted her through border controls with ease, as they presented their passes to then officials. They stepped outside the steel and glass building into their own private car which would take them to the Marriott Hotel.

Hours past and Aris and the rest of the team had settled into their hotel. The hotel was modern, slick and fresh and it had everything, swimming pools, chandeliers, luxurious bedrooms and much more. Beyond the French doors of her oak panelled suite, soft city lights glowed through a pair of billowing taffeta curtains. Aris's petite hands parted the silk fabric. Phosphorus moonlight spilled into the well lit room. Behind the doors’ glass insets, a majestic view of the skyline appeared with startling beauty. There wasn’t a cloud in the star-speckled sky. Rows of baroque apartments stretched around, their windows alight from within. A half-moon hovered at the fringes of the luminous city scape, where the red blinking lights of distance radio towers twinkling in the night. A fine industrial-based smog of pollution coated the whole area, acting as a milky filter. The fog softened the hard lines of buildings, and diffused the orange glow of the street lamps. This city was so vibrant, active and pretty.

The next day Aris an her team headed for breakfast. The hotels dining lounge was a grand space, to say the least. The huge mahogany table took up most of the vast space the dark, romantic room offered, left without a tablecloth and daring guests to ruin the perfectly varnished shine with their unworthy fingerprints. Two tall, silver candelabras commanded attention from the centre of the table, holding smooth white candles whose wax never dripped. After a scrumptious 5* breakfast of fruit and a full English at the hotel, Aris and her team explored the city. Market stalls lined the route, and Aris paused for a moment to survey the flamboyant scene, and and observe the milling throng as well as observing the social distancing. Lovers strolled hand in hand, casually browsing, whilst housewives hustled and bustled, and haggled over the price of the exotic fruits and other imported merchandise. They strolled out past Saint. Anira's Cathedrals stopping to take pictures. Milano's extravagant Gothic cathedral, 600 years in the making, aptly reflected the cities creativity and ambition. Its pearly white facade, adorned with spires and statues, rises like the filigree of a fairy-tale tiara, wowing the crowds with its extravagant detail. Beyond the cathedral down the beautiful cobblestone streets, shops , bars and restaurants lined the path as well as the large shopping centre. With its warm climate Aris felt very much at home. The ground is made up of deep grey bricks and the buildings are the warm tones of sandstone. The city was a vast, intricate, labyrinth of noisy, streets and alleys a little like towns back home. You could hear the incessant honking of the vehicles even before the sun rose. Walking down the street, she could smell the fresh batch of sweet and spicy rolls being baked for the lunch hour rush. To her, it was a clear sign of the city slowly waking up. The streets that were once sleek new tarmac are now greyed by the bleaching of the sun. The road is a monochrome patchwork, each one lined with a shiny boarder of tar. Despite these fixes there are still cracks and the potholes grow larger with each passing year. The trees that were once fine saplings with soft spring foliage are now gnarled embittered trees growing tall but without strength, competing unnaturally against the towering apartment blocks they were planted too close to. Their bark is mossy from the perennial dampness and incessant rain, except a few months of reprieve in the summer season. The pavement for the most part is still deep grey bricks and albeit scattered with the debris of the moulting trees. Trolleybus wires strung from sea-green posts dangle at a two-storey height, beyond the daily regard of the pedestrians who walk heads-down to their destinations.

After weaving through the labyrinth of roads, the paths eventually converged and unveiled the central piazza. Flocks of birds gathered everywhere; their numbers delighted the foreigners as they huddled around the birds, and either fed them crumbs of bread, or took photographs. A sea of people, of all ages and ethnicities, filled the square. Most were sightseers from all corners of the world; after all, Milano was a renowned tourist attraction and was now the host of Worldvision. The whole city was a buzz with activity with posters billboards and signs advertising the contest. Aris was stopped frequently by screaming fans of young adolescent boys and girls, something she had a soft spot for. She didn't mind being recognised. But it became apparent she might have to wear a hat and sunglasses to go about the rest of her day in peace. Her team backed her up and tried to remain as inconspicuous as possible. The day wore on and Aris had shopped herself out in the cities lovely boutique district spending a unfathomable amount on jewellery and clothes. Beyond the horizon, the sun illuminated the shimmering haze of pollution.

Aris made her way to one of the cities hottest bars "Glass vibes" She orders a local liquor. Her dress hangs from her shoulders, hugging her form as she stares at the swirling liquor. Inside the bar it was like the Northern Lights; beneath the dry-ice smoke swirled an array of blues, acid greens, hot pinks and gold. Just thinking about alcohol made Aris's fingers tingle right up her knuckles. Even before it touched her lips she got a taste of the giddiness to come, as if her brain couldn't wait for the fuzz of intoxication to begin. She should wait for the others to start drinking first. Aris and her team would stay a good few hours chatting laughing before making their way home in the early hours back. Aris and her delegations rehearsals went extremely well, the arena was stunning, Aris couldn't wait to perform on this breathtaking stage.

Parade of Nations

Before Aris had even reached the stage, she could hear the wild cheering of the pumped audience from backstage. She felt hot and sweat started trickling down her neck. Pacing up and down she stared down at the ground, her eyes were large and watery. She was always naturally anxious about going on stage but this was different, this was a crowed of 25 thousand and millions worldwide! She was used to 10 thousand if that! Aris had her long wavy golden hair draped down softly curling along the ends. Her makeup whitened her face and her mascara was a dark shade of wrong .It looked as though she just stepped out of the uncool part of the 90's. Against her pale skin the skin coloured lipstick is garish too, making her smile all the more insipid. This was the look she was going for, after all she was a rock star. She looked like she came from an underground concert from the 90's. Worn black torn jeans covered her legs, a old black muscle tank clad her torso. She also had laced up calf high boots. Dark circles laid beneath her cold gun metal eyes, dark kohl eyeliner lined her upper lids, which was slightly smudged giving the impression she had been rubbing her eyes.
She strolled out confidently as the Host's called out her nation, her moody smile still across her face, something she was fast becoming known for here in Milano, the "punk" girl. The crowd cheered passionately as she walked onto stage, she stood in the middle of the stage for a second, posing, her head hanging back before turning around face on slightly sensually biting her lip to the cameras before walking off down the catwalk.

Performance

The lights and cheers of the arena fade after the postcard as black clouds sprawl across the LED screen sky, billowing in from the left. (OOC I know there is no thunder and lightning but please imagine there is.) A stillness falls over the arena, and in the silence comes a low crackle of thunder, rolling across the arena to the pattering of tiny raindrops. A streak of hot silver light splits over the LED screen and the arena illuminating the audience, and the sound of a downpour begins and fades as the opening bars of the song start. The backing singers can be heard humming the opening. They aren't visible.

The camera view rises to reveal a row of silhouettes, as great flashes of white light permeate the entire stage to the beat representing lightning across the misty stage as Aris and her band, with grey tape covering their mouths, marches in from the dark at the back like soldiers, left right left right, in perfect unison, Philip approaching the guitar, Joe would be playing the drums, usually Megan would normally play drums but the team decided to swap them around something they felt worked better for the song, and, Megan to the microphone stand positioned off right centre. They reach their respective posts, with Aris right at the centre stage. As Aris gets ready to sing they all rip of their tape in unison with each other, the audible sound of ripping tape can be heard across the arena. The stage is dark and spooky like. Aris has her hair down still and is wearing the same outfit as the parade of nations. Worn black torn jeans, black muscle tank clad and calf high boots She also had black socks on. Her makeup is also the same. The bars are pushed down on each side of the stage, so that the main space in the very centre of the stage appears more elevated. Half of Aris's face is cast in shadow. A dim but warm yellow light shines on Aris from the side as she begins to sing, the light reflecting off her bracelet. With a moody but vulnerable gaze, she looks slightly sideways to the camera. The camera has a some what gritty filter to it and moves around like a hyperactive child, not staying still. It jitters around capturing brief angles of her face, shoulders and body. It blurs slightly every so often as Aris raises a hand upwards showing off her black painted nails before dropping it down dramatically to her side again. The camera cuts to a onstage camera which has the same effects as well as being black and white after Aris sings the first 2 lines, for the brief instrumental it films Philips hands playing the guitar. It then cuts back to Aris again still remaining gritty and bouncy, the colour coming back.

A multitude of flashing disorienting lights of red and white begins to cover the entire arena. She gestures outwards dramatically whilst she sings the second to last line the wind blowing her hair the white spotlights visible as beams through the air, shifting from red to white. Misty particles begin to be visible in the air around her like rain. She keeps one hand on the microphone stand. She is nervous but stays confident. The light flickers chaotically. We cut to a brief gritty bouncy view of Philip playing his guitar, he has a rough looking beard and brown hair and a small circle earring visible, he looks down confidently at his guitar which is just in shot before it wildly cuts Joe who is positioned at the back on the drums he is focused, not looking at the camera. He is in a white t shirt as black jacket. Neither make eye contact with their respective cameras to help create a mysterious mood.

Għaqqad iċ-ċertezza
Combine certainty

u dik l-inċertezza
and that uncertainty

Mewġ tal-qilla u rjieħ maltempati
Wrathful waves and tempest winds

Dan il-maltempati qawwija mhux dixxiplinati
This powerful storms undisciplined

We cut back to Aris the light causing deep shadows under her protruding cheek bones she has a evil glint in her eyes. The camera which is at face height remains wild, unable to stay still capturing the evil mood as it blurs and unblurs and jumps capturing brief shots of different parts of Aris. All the while the lights continue to pulsate to the beat. The lights offering a brief glimpse through the darkness. The LED screen in the back begins to fill up with dark stormy clouds. Shown here The camera then quickly cuts to a onstage camera from the left before switching back as Aris raises both of her hands to face height the light twinkling in her eyes as she does a cold look on her face. The left side of her faint red lips tugged upwards creating a sinister grin that spread across her face as she sings the last line 'Are you gonna try to stop me?' As if playing with the viewers. The camera switches to Philip as he screeches his guitar.

Daqqa tar-riħ, li tgħajjat
Wind blows, howling through

Se tiġi kkunsidrata forza distruttiva
Destructive force to be reckoned with

X'għandek tagħmel?
What you gonna do?

Int se tipprova twaqqafni?
Are you gonna try to stop me?

Suddenly the view changes to a camera on a boom pole as it pans outwards for a few seconds above the bands heads into the audience. The audience is lit up every now and then spectacularly by flashes of lightning light. Their silhouettes can be seen in raising their arms and jumping. The stage is still somewhat dark but the columns of white spotlights now strobe furiously lighting everyone onstage in a white strobe light. It then cuts back to Aris whose leaning forward slightly crouched the mic stand in one hand the other hand lost in her hair. She squeezes her hair in a painful looking way. The LED background now showing a full on storm with lightning flashes and menacing dark clouds. The floor of the stage is still shrouded in mist. The camera is a bit more stable this time but still keeps its jittery and gritty effect. Aris's powerful gritty voice spills out into the arena. As she sings 'Can you see the pain?' She grabs her cheeks with her nails digging in slightly representing the pain of her seeing her boyfriend cheat on her. All the while the wind machine blowing her hair around.

Forza distruttiva mimlija fjammi
Destructive force filled with flames

Jien biss ma nistax infaħħar
I just can't be tamed

Din il-forza vjolenti mimlija rabja
This violent force filled with anger

Uragan u xita li torbot
Hurricane, and lashing rain

Tista 'tara l-uġigħ?
Can you see the pain?

Din l-irjiħat jdur ser jiksbu ya!
This whirling winds gonna get ya!

The camera pulls right out showing all the stage and most of the spectators at the front. The arena is again plunged into darkness the only light being the streak of hot silver lights scattered above the stage just enough to make out the band on stage. The backing singers can be heard. We then cut to various shots of Aris her face somewhat sensual, biting her lips her eyes squinting, shots of Megan glaring into the camera lens and Philip and Joe paying their instruments. Each shot is wild unsettling and bumpy. Misty particles like rain now shroud the stage. A jagged bolt of light rips through the arena. The wind whipped her blonde hair slightly around her face. The beat rolled across the arena. It reverberated around the excited spectators eerily echoing. The crowd can be heard before they settle again as Aris starts to sing. A tornado starts to form on the screen behind her, the tornado funnel gradually getting wider, the stormy clouds whirling and getting bigger. The stage is bathed in white and blood red, splitting Aris in half perfectly. She sings towards the frontal camera as it wildly bumps around her distorting her as it does. Both her hands are now on the microphone as she brings it closer to her lips. For the instrumental the camera wild changes to a close up shot of Philips hands playing his guitar before switching to Aris whose hands are now raised above her head the camera completely mirrors this making it look hallucinogenic. For the rest of the sung verse the camera cuts between various gritty jittery close ups and shots from the side. As it breaks away to the instrumental again the lights flash around her once and the camera transitions to a close up of Aris, her eyes staring wildly. She strokes her hair as the camera distorts with brief flashes of dim light.

The beams of the house creaked in a way
That chilled all their blood away
Exasperated, infuriated
Rain falls, you're saturated

The camera pans past Aris. The lights in the arena slowly building. Before cutting back to a onstage camera capturing a body shot. The lights in the arena become brighter with each beast as they flash spectacularly. The camera switches to Philip as he screeches his guitar and the arena is now left in darkness.

Wind blows, howling through
Devastating force to be reckoned with
What you gonna do?
Are you gonna try to stop me ?

The lights of the arena erupt into flashes of lightning white light. The spotlights on the ceiling shoot around and strobe violently just like lighting within cloud. Aris and her band are lit up by white and the stage lights behind them pulsate violently enough to induce a fit. The camera work is aggressive as it switches to various shots of each band member between shots of Aris almost headbutting the lens and ruffling her top. The whole time the wind ruffles her and the bands hair and outfits. Various lens flares hit the camera subtly.

This destructive force filled with flames
I just can't be blamed
This destructive force filled with anger
Hurricane, and lashing rain
Can you see the pain?
This whirling winds gonna get ya!

The camera cuts and we now have a view of Philips guitar, as he plays the notes in the instrumental. The camera is wobbly and gritty and a lens flares hit the camera subtly. It then cuts back to Aris whose staring into the camera like this https://media3.giphy.com/media/TfRJSpkY ... /giphy.gif

This furious force filled with power

The camera is now a view that creeps upwards from Aris's legs up to her pale white face. She is leaning forward almost falling to her knees, and the microphone is in her right hand, the stand in her left. She tosses the mic stand playfully swinging it as she sings. Again the arena is plunged into darkness lightning flashes across the LED screen as the tornado grows. The camera cuts again to the guitar before cutting away to Aris, an evil smile like look on her face. The stage is lit in a faint grey light. Dim white lights now flash at the sides of the stage to the beat. The backing singers can be heard humming. The camera transitions to a suspended camera in the middle of the audience capturing the whole impressive stage before cutting to a distortion of wild shots of the stage from different angles. The wind machines gradually build throughout the next part of the song as the "storm" grows. The LED looks like this from 1:36 to 1:58 Shown here Aris is now crouching down. https://i.imgur.com/MXpibHv.jpg

Hmm Oh yeah

The arena is dark and begins to fill with ominous black fog and the wind from the fans starts to pick up, howling, crying, warning, baying like a wolf into the night. A crack of lightning rent the air and within seconds the rolling boom of the thunder reverberated overhead just loud enough to be noticed but not to take anything away from the song. The centre stage that Aris is on begins rising very slightly upwards only by about 3ft in total just enough to elevate her more than before. Soon half way through the verse it began sprinkling. Little droplets of water touched her hair and skin, the water droplets began growing larger and falling more frequently. The water seeped through her gauzy top and chilled her skin. The wind machines are blowing nearly at full power now, she begins to stand up.

Wind blows, howling through
Devastating force to be reckoned with
What you gonna do?
I'm losing control now!

Aris stands up, with renewed assurance, the wind machines on full force, the wind machines obviously isn't enough to push her over but as she stands up she gets her stance, her left leg in front of the other and fights against the wind. The wind tears over the stage dramatically. Aris heaved her legs against the gale, against the pressure building on her chest and hitting her face. Her hair is blowing violently. The storm is here. The LED background now a black stormy sky and tornado tearing through a farm, debris being flung in all directions and lightning flashes flash vigorously around the arena. The storm encapsulating her anger, her anger had escaped. Like a tornado tearing through the landscape. The very feeling she had when she found out she was being cheated on. She was on the war path. Suddenly her liberal opinions were gone, her ability for nuance and emotional generosity were gone too. Her hands gripping the microphone.

Aris has a confident look on her face. Perhaps this breakup is the only way she will rediscover who she is. She had these dreams. She had these amazing technicolour dreams that she need to make into some kind of reality for others... and for her too. So now she must go, weave her creative magic into this ether we call the world, and she wishes him well even though she will always face forwards, moving onward. She looks into the camera on her left before looking back to the camera in front of her. It then cuts. The view is now over the audience as the camera moves over them to Aris on stage showing her and all her band, before it cuts to a view panning left to right. The camera distorts for the instrumental and switches to various angled stage shots capturing the drums for one second , the guitar the next. The backing singers can be heard again. Ceiling cams and spider cam shots then show various parts of the stage before cutting back to Aris. Aris keeps eye contact with the camera leaning in slightly, an outstretched finger pointing right down the camera lens. A fearsome look is now on her face. The stage begins to fill with more light from the overheard spotlights and the lights in the arena continue to flash around. A close up shots show Aris raise her hands to face height as she whips her hair back. The wind stops and the camera ends just in front of Aris, looking upwards towards her painful mean looking face glaring down into the lens, she's breathing heavily. Her glistening white teeth clenched before the camera blurs and cuts to a view further back as the arena lights come back on.

This destructive force filled with flames
I just can't be blamed
This destructive force filled with anger
Hurricane, and lashing rain
Can you feel the pain?
This whirling winds gonna get ya!
This whirling winds gonna get ya!
This whirling winds gonna get ya!

Aris lets go of the microphone stand and steps out a broad smile now on her face. The audience is up roaring with cheers and screams flags are being waved in all directions. She half bows and speaks into the mic again. "Grazzi Milano Thank you!" Aris and the band wave soak up the cheers and leave the stage to massive applause ready for the next act

ETV1 presents WorldVision 84 - English language commentary by Cerin Erali and Flynn Taggart

CE: Welcome to WorldVision 84! Bienvenido a WorldVision 84! Yalcom WorldVision 84! I'm Cerin Erali...
FT: ... And I'm Flynn Taggart.
CE: And welcome to Milano, in Bees Land! The land of the bees! I know it's Besen, Fleen, I just wanted to make that joke.
FT: I wasn't going to say anything but you do you..
CE: Anyways, we're your English-language commentators tonight. For a Spanish commentary, Iyilim language commentary or to sing-along to each entry, please press the red button. Thank you. Para Español, Iyilim o karaoke, pulse botón rojo por favor. Gracias. Aspenol, Iyilim o cereoc - Ancelis o Aspenol, ne Iyilim - plaes toc rad boton. Fenci.
FT: Televoting's still around and it still works the same way.You either dial the number, text SONG, S-O-N-G in all caps, followed by the entry number to the other number, you click the button on the app.
CE: And we're quite late in the running order. Song number 25, so we'll be waiting quite a bit before we get to our entry. But we can't still vote for it, ladies and gentlemen.
FT: Anything else we should mention?
CE: Nope, so let's get on with the show!
FT: Very short intro, but OK.

N.B. Remember that these are all my first impressions, where I listen to them without headphones (because the port's broken on my computer, much like a few other things) and I skip around the track; chances are that I will personally enjoy the song when I've had time to listen to it properly. Me disagreeing with my own commentators is also not uncommon. Also, the bare minimum for me to commentate on a song is a link to the tune and a full set of lyrics, though if you have a disclaimer asking for it to not be commentated on until it's completed I will respect that and hold off on commentating on it until it's 100% done.

OOC: Due to me moving house during the compeition, which means going without internet for a period of time, I've decided to compile my commentary into one post for a change instead of posting it in parts like I normally do.

Opening Act (the Parade of Nations is still WIP, as is my commentary for it)

CE: We kick things off with a quite decent introduction video, showing off the natural beauty of the city. From the famous old cathedral to the inhabitants of the city, just everything about it spells "old world" and "brilliant". Absolute perfection.
FT: All set to a samba-rocky-funky-breakbeat track.
CE: That it was. And it segues us into the opening song.
FT: Which I didn't care about.
CE: But I did. It was sung well, had a nice tune. Just liked it.
FT: I'm not sure if it's something that was big in the charts in the charts at the moment or if it was something made especially for the contest. Hopefully not the latter because otherwise it'd feel a bit...
CE: I can see what you mean, Fleen.
FT: Hopefully someone with a better understanding of the Besenian music charts would help me.
CE: After that song finished, we then got the Parade of Nations!
(Parade of Nations not done yet)

01 - Estana and Theos

TBA

02 - Fauntenheddo

FT: This could've been worse. Much worse. Still not a good song.
CE: This sounds like something that would've been a smash hit when I was a kid and I would've loved but you revisit it nearly 20 years later and it makes you want to stick your head in the sand. Like an ostrich.
FT: The analogy wouldn't work even if they actually did that, Cerin.

03 - Estogium

FT: Less than three seconds in and I already found it annoying.
CE: It's not that bad. I actually genuinely like it. It may seem like like blatant pandering but I still enjoy it for what it is, a fun, danceable track. And I'm sure it'll do very well with people, regardless of their sexuality. Or lack of.

04 - North Alezia

CE: North Alezia. They finished second last time, which came as a massive surprise not just to us and not just to them but to everyone. And the song really grew on us after we listened to it a bit, so everything was alright in the end. But they're back and, Fleen, do you think they'll do just as well, if not win the contest?
FT: No.
CE: I'm not that fond of it. Sure it's danceable. I busted a couple of moves up here. But I don't know, it feels a bit average.
FT: Maybe next Alezimania they should let someone else win.

05 - Caryton

FT: This is actually quite decent. I kind of like it.
CE: I must admit that there's something comforting about this. It's nice for Caryton to branch out and try something new. And I hope everyone likes it as much as we did.

06 - South Alezia

CE: A massive improvement over their debut entry last time. I mean, they're just dolls, yes.
FT: At least they're not moving around like it's like some 80s horror movie. Though I'm not sure how they're singing unless they're one of those "pull the string talking dolls".
CE: Let's not question it. And let's not question that bit in the middle that's completely different to the rest of the song and could've just been cut out. But it's still very fun.

07 - Beepee

CE: And here's Beepee, with a nice acoustic guitary song. Tune's good, her singing's good, what else is there to say?

08 - Nekoni

hulksterinheaven.mp3

09 - Minskiev

FT: Another song that sounds like something from your childhood but when you listen to it now it aged badly?
CE: More teenage years, where you're in that "Grr, no one understands me!" phase, but otherwise spot on.
FT: Probably a good thing I've always been like this.

(In all seriousness, RIP Chester.)

10 - Scotatrova

CE: This is decent and sweet.
FT: And bland.
CE: I don't think it's bland but to each their own.

11 - Placely Placington

FT: This song is so bad I'm sure that G-dash-D had to make Hell just to have somewhere to send it.
CE: I think they need to stop feeding him so much fizzy soda, no wonder he deflated.

12 - Waisnor

CE: And it's time for Waisnor now, who I feel are quite an underrated country. And this perfectly shows off why. Seriously, everything about this is quite good, from the techno beat to the strings to her vocals. I'd be quite disappointed if this bombs.
FT: I'm kind of ashamed to say I didn't hate it. But since I admitted it I guess I'm not.

13 - Talvezout

CE: Ooh now, this is promising. This may not sound that exciting at first but it kind of builds, it has that feeling to it. A nice funky dark EDM-y synth and her vocals, perfect match! I hope this does well tonight.

14 - Nahlcomo

FT: This song feels like you've taken a bunch of peyote at the airport and then ten hours later you're running in the desert in the rain and in your underwear, chanting "Freedom run" and "Free to run".
CE: Speaking from experience, Fleen?
FT: Yes, one of my team-mates from the Stars did something like this back in the early 90s. I can never remember which one, though.

15 - Cokoland

TBA

16 - Northern Beepee

FT: How many of these nations now have Northern or Southern relatives now?
CE: I'm not sure. But this track's not that bad. Nothing we haven't heard before but it's still good for what it is.

17 - Polkopia

CE: This feels frighteningly generic from a country who's capable of sending much better songs. It's not bad but, you know, it could've been a lot better.
FT: Won't be the first nation getting complacent.

18 - Ertzei Kishim

FT: At least it's not as skin-regeneratingly bad as their last entry. In fact, this may not be my sort of thing but I still think it's decent.
CE: There we go, something I like that you like!
FT: I didn't say I liked it, I said it was decent.
CE: I think this is more than good. His vocals easily blend into the song, it's nice and upbeat and it's just so hard to hate. I think we're onto a winner here.

19 - Main Nation Ministry

FT: A nice, peppy song about living in a dystopian hole.
CE: It was nice, yes. I quite liked it at least, simply by not paying attention to the lyrics. But even when I did, I still liked it.

20 - Malta Comino Gozo

CE: Ooh, now this is a nice change of pace for Malta Comino Gozo. They always send good songs and this is also one of them. But you never really expected them to send something as rocky as this.
FT: They probably would've but we didn't pay attention.
CE: That's true, you've got a good point. But still, this is another brilliant tune and it'll do well for them tonight. I hope it does.

21 - Achaean Republic

FT: The obligatory "terrible track that'll still do well" we usually see at least once a contest.
CE: Well, at least the music's nice at least?
FT: Not my taste but it was the only thing it had going for it.

N.B. Much like with Ertzei Kishim's entry from WV83, I'm personally not as negative towards this song as my commentators are. I don't think it's good but I also don't think it's THAT bad.

22 - Pemecutan

CE: So here's a probably new nation, for the WorldVision at least. They were at the last World Hit Festival and they actually did fairly well, finishing 6th place with 40 points.
FT: So some big boots to fill for their WV debut then.
CE: They might fit comfortably then. It won't set the world on fire but it's harmless and pleasant enough for some viewers at home to send their votes towards it.

23 - Britonisea

CE: So, Britonisea! For the last few contests I felt that they were in a bit of a downwards slump. WorldVision 80 was mehhhh. 81 may have won but it felt a bit nyeeerrhhhh. 82 was fucking terrible! Apologies for my swear, viewers at home.
FT: It was certainly a terrible experience. Like execution by papercut.
CE: Lovely image. Anyways, 83! It was an improvement it still felt a bit eeehhhhh. But 84? I liked it. It's brilliant! Massive improvement, massive return to form, I hope we see more entries like this to remind us why they're such a dominant force in the competition.

24 - Antahbrantahstan

FT: Generic ballad.
CE: Doing generic ballady things. It's not bad but again, it feels too plain. For a reigning champion in a contest where winner doesn't have to host but some can bid to try anyway, you'd expect then to show a bit more bite.

25 - Elejamie

FT: Here's us.
CE: The tune's good. That might help us out. The lyrics aren't really Dave's best, he's capable of writing something much better, but I won't say they're the worst either.

26 - Normandy and Picardy

FT: I'm not particularly into metal but this is a definite top three candidate for me.
CE: Likewise! It just makes me want to headbang until my head falls off. Like what happened to that guy from Placely Placington!

27 - Mister X

CE: Some may say it's basic, some may say it's bland. But I don't know. I quite like the chill elements, how it's quite good for relaxing on the beach.

28 - Saviera

FT: Not something you'd expect from someone named "Tom F. O. O'Leary"
CE: What does "F. O." stand for anyway?
FT: I don't know.
CE: Neither do I. But what I do know is that this is quite a decent track. Well done, Saviera.

29 - Amuaplye

TBA

30 - Antenovaria

TBA

31 - Izmedu

CE: Ooh, now this could be a new favourite of mine! Love the beat, love how his vocals mesh with it. It's just hypnotically toe-tapping. Wasn't sure what he was saying but luckily I found a translation on my phone and it's quite poetic.
FT: Like an ancient epic.
CE: Well done Izmedu. Really.

32 - Kalosia

CE: Of course it's Not The End, there's one more song after this!
FT: *deep sigh as a result of such a lame pun that makes you want to go "Goddamnit, Cerin!"*
CE: Sorry, couldn't resist, folks! Anyhoo, this song. It's not great.
FT: It's certainly better than their song in Llalta, that's for sure.
CE: True but it goes from generic ballad to generic EDM. Is everything OK, RTVK? Do you need to talk about something?

33 - Todlichebujoku

FT: Last song now and... I'm just going to be brutally honest here, I'm starting to think Todlichebujoku have given up.
CE: What do you mean, Fleen?
FT: Remember 76-78? 76 they sent what you called a "hard-hitting dance tune" and someone else called "darkly mysterious yet sleekly produced". 77 saw them send a hard metal entry and a worthy winner. 78 wasn't as good but was still a worthy runner-up, especially in a contest where the top three were leagues ahead of everyone else.
CE: That they were.
FT: Then came 79. Their entry was boring. But apparently enough people liked it to give it the win so what do I know. Their entry for WorldVision 80 was apparently well-crafted enough to win their national final, as you put it, but it was also very generic. 82, as you also put it, felt "empty" and I must admit that I felt the same way about it as well. 83 had a decent singer stuck on a generic song. And this just feels like the same thing again, though it's a few molecules better.
CE: Aren't you missing something?
FT: 81 was the exception, as it was them trying to repeat MÜRÁKKÁÁN's success and doing a decent job of it.
CE: That's fair. So what do you think the problem is?
FT: There was an infamous saying that might not have actually been said: "Don't F- with the formula". And I have a feeling that that's what's going on here. Don't be unique, don't be creative, don't be genuine. Just tell artist and producer to follow these instructions and everything will be OK.
CE: That's cynical, even by your standards.
FT: I know, I've made myself sad now.
CE: But to add a bit of positivity, I will say that I quite liked this song. But, even if I felt the same way as you, there's a very good chance that 85 or even 86 would be fresh and exciting!
FT: If they are, then I will smile for a minute. Not because I'll be happy but because I'll be eating my words.
