The War for Germany (Sign-Ups) (OOC)

The year is 1956. WWII never started and Germany is in a major civil war. In the world the Weimar Republic barely held on after the Great Depression but when electoral gridlock and stability and morale is low civil war breaks out. Between the 5 new countries and the only old one the war has raged on since the
start in 1953. The Holy German Order, the German People's Revolutionary State, the National German Corporate State, the National Monarch Restorationists, the 3rd Reich, and the old guard the Weimar Republic. With no country having a major advantage in the war the leaders of each country are looking for weaknesses in the others without realizing that the officers below them are possibly plotting to take control of the country. For the application each leader will already have a name so enter that in. Also please read the background info for your country. Most characters are fictional so don't criticize me for historical accuracy. For the communist Germany your character will support either the anarchist or communists so choose wisely or you could be executed or assassinated

HGO Background, Military Ranks, and Military Power

The HGO was founded in 1929 during the Great Depression by Great Archon Leon Weber and the national religion is Christianity. The Archon said he had a vision which God said that he will lead the German people to greatness. He believes in state capitalism and him having absolute control. With the war raging on he constantly preaches to the people and puts thousands of funds into the church. The army consists of 70k Holy Modern Knights equipped with StG44's and support from artillery and light tanks, the God's Favoured Riflemen (numbering 30k) were equipped with the Karabiner S and supported with motorized trucks and 5 heavy armoured tanks. Finally a small group of the best soldiers called God's Chosen Ones (20k) are equipped with Karabiner 98k or (Kar98K), StG44's, and Gewher 43's. There is a strict rank among the top five officers under the leader with each one controlling a certain amount of troops. 1. God's Highest General (Application name) 30k 2. Holy General 20k 3. German People's Revolutionary State Background, Military Ranks and Power

During the 1940's communism and anarchism was in the rise in Bavaria. With communist influence coming from a communist Czechoslovakia and Austria more and more people were following communism. When the war broke out the communists and anarchists merged with leader Supreme Premier Ernst Thälmann taking control. The GPRS is a powder keg though with tensions rising between anarchists and communists but the leader maintains minor stability. The GPRS is under a state-communist economy for now, but that could change. The military groups are the People's Militia 80k equipped with Kar98K, Stg44's, and whatever they scavenge, the German Red Army 20k soldiers equipped with StG44's and Kar98k with minimal motorized and light armoured support, and last the Red Riflemen 20k with Kar86K and medium motorized and light armor support. 1. National German Corporal State

In this world Heinrich Himmler was a successful businessman who lead an arms company, though all weapons went to other countries. He founded this party in 1928 1 year before the Great Depression and still managed to make money. In 1943 in NGCS party was founded and had 10 in the government. When the war broke out he quickly organized an army from his employee's and defectors. He believes in a corporate economy had wants to lead with a corporate council. The military groups are the Corporate Soldiers 90k with StG44's and Kar98k's with mots of motorized and light tank support with 3 pieces or artillery and the National State Army 30k with StG44's, Kar98K's and very early prototypes of the G1-FN FAL. 1. National Monarch Restorationists

The NMR is lead by Louis Ferdinand Victor Eduard Adalbert Michael Hubertus former prince of Prussia. He believes a need to return a a constitutional monarchy and believes in Laissez-faire Capitalism. With support from the U.S.A with additional weapons they have a good chance to take control of Germany. The army consists of the Royal Prussian Guard 50k equipped with Kar98k, StG44 and better G1-FN FAL with 10 heavy tanks, the Royal Militia with 30k include Kar98K, American M1941 Johnson rifle, and artillery and motorized support, and the German Patriots 40k M1941 Johnson rifle and heavy tanks and artillery support. 1. Weimar Republic

With the collapse of the Republic many officials scrambled to stabilize what remained. Kurt Riezler took control though he didn't have much political experience the council members voted for him to take the presidency. The U.S withdrew support from the country due to widespread corruption in the government, but the U.K pledged their support to the Weimar Republic. Holding the least land is both an advantage and disadvantage, they can consolidate their power in a smaller area but resources can be more scarce due to the small land area.. The army consists of the Weimar Army 100k with Kar98k, the Jungle Carbine, Gewehr 41, and the StG44. The ranks are 1. General of the Army 2. Major General 3. Colonel

3rd Reich

Hitler has begun the new 3rd Reich. He can now persecute all inferior races and increase militart spending. With state capitalism everything in under control from the government. The army consists of the 50k National Furher Guard with Kar98K, StG44's, Gewehr 41, and Gewehr 43 with artillery support, the Nationalist Police Corps 50k with the same load out has the NFG but with mototrized support and light tanks, and the Volkssturm 20k with Kar98K's and Gewehr 41's. When he heard the Archon preaching on the radio, he talked to his pastor and was convinced to sign up. In an early battle, a landmine separated Ehrmantraut from the rest of his squad. After taking out a machine gun nest and taking over a dozen Weimar Republic soldiers prisoner, his squad regrouped on him. They marched them out and Max was soon promoted to Corporal.

After returning home to Silesia after the Great War, his father had commanded one of the many German self-defence units during the war from 1919-21, and developed an immense hatred of Poles, despite their own vague Polish ancestry.
Otmar, the youngest child, was raised with that same attitude, and the only positive interactions he ever had with his father were when the man was explaining NSDAP policies/Voelkisch theories, giving exaggerated accounts of German history and the noble, brave German heroes of old who had fought against the savage hordes of subhuman Mongoloid-Slavs, the degenerate Franks, the insidious English, etc., and all of these ancient enemies various crimes against the German people.
The Sadowskis were coal miners, and Otmar was in the pit that day in 1953 when the Poles came to Groß Strehlitz. They didn't notice at first, being too deep underground to hear small arms fire, or screams, but eventually a dull, muffled rumble could be heard, and explosions above the mine caused the walls to shake. All of the workers had ran for the cages, heading for the surface just in case there was a cave in.
Otmar, covered in the black dust of the mine, had stumbled into the light and seen his town in ruins. The body of old herr Wagner, a friend of his father, was lying in the street near the pit head, and flames could be seen all around, leaping from home to home. Armed Polish peasants, police and soldiers alike were running from place to place carrying loot, or firing wildly into buildings or the air, and the Weimar Army was nowhere to be seen when it should have been defending it's people.
Somehow making it out alive, Otmar and a handful of others ended up with a German resistance network. The partisans were mostly old, veterans of the Great War who had dug out an old rifle they'd stolen from the army decades earlier, or farmers with hunting rifles or shotguns they'd never before imagined needing to use on a human.
They didn't last long. No aid ever came from the Weimar Republic and the militias were quickly defeated by the much larger, better armed Polish army. Silesia, Pomerania, Prussia, Danzig, and all of the millions of eastern Germans who lived in those territories were abandoned by their own government. Hundreds of villages were destroyed or ethnically cleansed, thousands were killed. The Germans were driven over the Oder, their homes given to Poles, and almost all of these refugees ended up in the only German state openly speaking for them and arguing for German unity and retaliation towards Poland.
They ended up in the Third Reich.
Leutnant Otmar Sadowski now commands a platoon of volunteers from the Occupied Eastern Territories in the Third Reich's Volkssturm. They aren't the most heavily armed, or the best trained, but they are fanatics. Anyone standing in the way of German reunification, liberation of the east, and the ultimate destruction of Germany's enemies will be dealt with, one way or another.
