WORLD CUP 86: ROSTER THREAD

Presenting the very early posting of the World Cup 86 roster thread. As most of you know, the World Cup is not going to start until after the conclusions of the Baptism of Fire, but Drawkland and I have opted to post this now, so that there is plenty of time for people to plan out their roster and get it posted before we eventually do begin. We want to get as many rosters for this World Cup as we possibly can, so for now this is the only thread that will be posted this early for World Cup 86. Remember that while there is no rosterless penalty with our bid, there is a very generous roster bonus provided, and late rosters (after MD1) will not be able to get the maximum roster bonus.

Creating the roster:
At the very least, you want to inform everyone of the eleven starting players who will be proudly representing your nation. Listing the reserves is also strongly advised, as is telling everyone who the manager is. You can even providing a detailed list of staff members!

You will also probably want to tell us information about your national stadium, or stadiums, and can feel free to indulge us with as much detail about them as you can, or just give us the basics. Half of your qualifying games will be played in your home country, so it is beneficial to all to know about your facilities.

Also commonly found in roster posts is the preferred formation or tactics used by the team. You don’t have to stop there, and can give us national background, traditions, historical accomplishments, pictures of your teams kits, information about your fans. Or, just any kind of cool information you want the entire world to know about team.

Provide a style modifier:
A style modifier is a number from -5 to +5 that tells us how your team prefers to play their games. -5 is the most defensive, and +5 is the most offensive. 0 is neutral. A +5 system might give you 3-4 goals per match, or more; but don’t be surprised if you are also conceding that many. Same thing works for a -5, but in reverse. Nations that do not provide a style modifier will receive a neutral zero modifier.

RP Permissions Box:
Finally, something that is very important in a roster post is the RP permissions box. Here, you are telling the opponent what is acceptable and not acceptable for them to RP about your team when providing a game recap. The first to RP a match is the one who can tell the story of the match. If you’re opponent has provided details about how your and their goals were scored, then you need to follow along with that.

Code: Select all
My opponent, if they RP first, may do the following:
Choose my goalscorers: Yes/No
Godmod scoring events: Yes/No
RP injuries to my players: Yes/No
Godmod injuries to my players: Yes/No
Hand out yellow cards to my players: Yes/No
Hand out red cards to my players: Yes/No
Godmod other events: Yes/No

If you have any questions about anything, please do not hesitate to ask, but do so in the discussion thread, or via telegram.

Manager: Kevin Connelly (59 years old)
Connelly agreed to come out of retirement to help novice manager Bryan Ostrom with learning the ropes of being an in-match manager during AOCAF, and agreed to one more go as an assistant manager during World Cup 84 qualifying. He is more defensive minded than Ostrom was. He took over the team after Ostrom's suicide. He stayed on after Sarzonia finished third in the Cup of Harmony and qualified for the World Cup.
Assistant Manager: Kevin Wilson (57 years old)
The former "B-Stars" national team manager previously served as the AOCAF team's manager, but now steps in as an assistant for the main national team with Connelly's ascension to manager. He takes over the more offensive role from Ostrom.

HOME GROUND: Dave Wilson Stadium, Woodstock (105,690 capacity, natural grass field); alternate home ground i Joe Gibbs Stadium in Woodstock (75,900 capacity)

Roster (Starters in bold)

GOALKEEPERS
1 Carlton Sandt, 21, 6-foot-3, 215 pounds (Lakiska SC, Banijan Soccer League)
Sandt is the younger brother of legendary Stars goalkeeper Horace Sandt. He won the starting job for the Wanderers as a true freshman and led a previously downtrodden side to the national semifinals. He has catlike reflexes and is quick off his line. Can get too aggressive.
30 Paolo Gomes, 27, 5-foot-9, 165 pounds (Portland Timbers)
Gomes recently migrated to Sarzonia and earned a spot on the Stars national team with his quickness in the box. Plays a lot on instinct.

DEFENDERS
4 Charlie King, 26, 5-foot-11, 155 pounds (Saugerties Snakes)
King plays as a defensive-oriented fullback, often marking the opposing team's top striker. He relies more on positioning and reading his opponent's tendencies and body language to figure out where to run than on speed. He's not exactly a burner.
5 Tommy Benignati, 29, 6-foot-2, 200 pounds (Wilmington FC)
The older brother of Marco Beningnati, Tommy plays a much more rugged style than Marco does. Can play sweeper in a three-back lineup.
7 Matt Taylor, 24, 6-feet, 185 pounds (Burlington Browns)
Taylor's speed lends itself to being a fullback, but he plays halfback for the Browns. He has a tendency to struggle with more physical forwards and offensive midfielders.
13 Russ Howard, 34, 5-foot-10, 170 pounds (Nicksia Knights)
Howard is on the roster as much for his veteran leadership and for being a coach on the pitch as he is for his manmarking abilities. He and Taylor are rooming together during qualifying.
18 Ben Russell, 30, 6-foot-1, 190 pounds, Rochester Renegades
In his first season as team captain of the Renegades, he led the team to a Sarzonian Football Confederation championship, resulting in the team's promotion to the Cyanea League. If he's on the pitch in the event Howard gets subbed for, he will don the captain's armband. He is a reserve halfback for the Stars.
22 Carmela Bowen, 28, 5-foot-8, 145 pounds, Woodstock Justice
Brown plays fullback for the Justice, a Sarzonian women's football team, and typically marks whomever the playmaking midfielder is. Her stamina earned her a spot on the national team.
6 George Morrison, 34 D/M 6'2 185 pounds, Nicksia Knights
Morrison is the only Stars player with significant international experience prior to this year, having competed in an AOCAF 10 years ago. He is here to help provide veteran leadership and bench depth.

MIDFIELDERS
8 Ernie Mabree, 26, 5-foot-10, 175 pounds (FC Corcorran)
Mabree has one of the better left-booted shots in the Sarzonian league structure and is one of the fastest players in Sarzonia. He'll play an important role in Sarzonia's offence.
10 Brady Reynolds, 28, 6-foot-2, 185 pounds (Portland Timbers
Donning the 10 shirt for the Stars, Reynolds can be very creative with the ball and will often take corner kicks and free kicks. Predominantly a right-booted player, but he's worked a lot during the offseason on improving with his left boot.
20 Clayton Wilson, 21, 5-foot-10, 170 pounds, (Woodstock Wild) Captain
A grandson of legendary Stars forward Brian Wilson and great-grandson of coach Dave Wilson, Clayton is not just a fourth generation star among the Stars, he served as the playmaker for the Under 21 Stars and is a sterling wing player on the Wild.
18 Carlos dos Santos, 25, 5-foot-11, 175 pounds (Woodstock Wild)
A right wing player, he will sometimes be called upon to take free kicks if Reynolds is unable to for some reason.
16 Trisha Collins, 32, 5-foot-6, 125 pounds (Portland Thorns)
Collins will assume the same role with the national team that she does for the Thorns in Sarzonia's women's football league as a defensive midfielder and general pest.
28 Travis D'Agostino, 30, 6-foot-2, 200 pounds, (Wilmington FC)
D'Agostino will provide depth for the defensive midfield for the Stars. He starts for Wilmington in that role.
30 Erik Swann, 24, 5-foot-11, 175 pounds (Portland Timbers)
Swann's strength is being a late-match offensive substitute who can score in a pinch.

FORWARDS
11 Cayden Aguirre, 32, 5-foot-10, 170 pounds (Nicksia Knights)
Aguirre is the creative forward on the squad with an ability to pinch hit as a playmaking midfielder in late-match situations in the event of defensive-minded substitutions.
21 Jake Campos, 21, 6-foot-3, 210 pounds, (Portland Timbers)
Campos is a straight up target player in the front line. His leaping ability makes him a prime candidate for headers in the box off corner kicks and indirect free kicks. He played on the Junior Stars team that competed in the most recent AOCAF.
17 Mek'hi West, 33, 6-foot-3, 215 pounds (Woodstock Wild)
West is similar in style to Campos, but with West 18 months removed from a torn ACL, he's still working toward being match fit for a full 90 minutes. He can give a good 45-50 minutes at a time before he has to be substituted for when he's a starter.
19 Holly Cambrio, 26, 5-foot-7, 145 pounds (Woodstock Justice)
Cambrio adds flair and ball movement skill and the ability to serve as a sparkplug off the bench, but would be a starter for a women's national team if that competition got resurrected.

TEAM HISTORY
This is the official roster, featuring the Elite Eleven, an independent squad of Drawkians who have played all sports at a professional level for a confusingly long time. The old Kick Corps has been essentially removed, the players let go, and replaced by this squad of ridiculously skilled, annoyingly arrogant, and possibly immortal sportsmen. Nobody knows where they came from, or why DISC decided to replace the Kick Corps with them, but here they are. Just don't ask the baseball fans about them.
Drawkian soccer, and indeed, sporting in general, is mostly offensive-minded. This is reflected in the style indicator and in the formation. Drawkian soccer has not really been exposed to outside influences, and thus may look or feel strange to those used to "normal" football. Nevertheless, the Eleven are still good at what they do, and prize in an enduring game, moving the ball around nearly constantly and keeping energy going, aiming to tire out the opposing team. Of course, Drawkians aren't humans, but you can read about that elsewhere. Despite the fact that usually soccer is a female-only sport in Drawkland, the Elite Eleven have overturned that caveat as the higher-ups deemed them a suitable replacement in the interim as the real Kick Corps hides away for a few cycles and gets their shit back together.

My opponent, if they RP first, may do the following:
Choose my Scorers: Yes
Choose Scoring Events: Yes
Godmod Scoring Events: Yes
RP Injuries to my Players: Yes
Godmod Injuries to my Players: Yes
Yellow Card my Players: Yes
Red Card my Players: Yes
Godmod Other Events: Yes
As far as these go, I'm fair game for anything. You should know what is and isn't drastic RP, and if you think your RP is on the drastic side, TG me first. But I'm still basically up for anything.
I'd like to request that injuries or cards don't do anything outside of the scope of a single game or maybe 2. Don't want anything tournament or cycle-ending. Red cards should be limited to late knockout stages, and I'd probably think that there should be no more than 2 players red carded per tournament.
The Elite Eleven are sorta oddballs. I mean, they're a group of 11 dudebros, but they're supposedly immortal or something. Keep that in mind.

Disclaimers of various sorts:
I don't know very much about soccer. If I RP something weird, it's because I have little to no experience with this sport. But whatever.
If you have any questions about anything involving me, this team, my nation, this competition, life, etc., feel free to telegram me.

History:
Football is the by far most popular sport in Tikariot, with the Tikariot Premier League as the highest division in its league pyramid. The TPL consists of 24 teams and is currently in its 100th season, showcasing the history of the sport and with that the pride most Tikariotians have for their team. Their international history is far shorter and so far consists of a victory in the IFC1 tournament, reaching the quarter finals in the Baptism of Fire tournament, only eliminated by later winner Græntfjall, and the round of 16 at the XIV Olympic Summer Games.
Coach Stuart Ekstrom has decided to keep the offense-heavy formation, with only few adjustments compared to the last two tournaments. The average age of the squad is fairly low, which means that they still have a bright future ahead of them, but also that their relative lack of experience could cause some issues around the more veteran teams.

The Fans:
The Tikariotian fans also deserve particular mentioning. Not only are they renowned for their chants, but they are also bringing the Thunder Clap (Click here for example) to the stadium, something that the players join in as a pre-game ritual that has left an impression on the opponents and opposing fans more than once (OOC: similar to the Haka of the New Zealand All Blacks). The players will form a triangle near the kick off circle and lift their arms, which the fans do as well. Then a long drum will start to signal the rhythm and both players and fans alike will move in unison, each clap accompanied with a loud cry, the claps (and cries) speeding up, creating an overwhelming sense of impending doom.

Formation:
4-3-3

Style Modifier:
+4

Coach:
Stuart Ekstrom - 46
A wily tactitian that prefers an offensive game, but with the ability to fluidly switch systems by pulling back the
wingers to give a sudden defensive man advantage.

Players - First team:
GK Brian Merson - 26 - Port Rhovanyon AFC - 12 caps, 0 goals, 0 assists
First team goal-tender of the clear leader of this year's Tikariotian Premier League, Merson is a commanding presence
in the back, being able to direct his defenders with passion and a voice that carries across most of the pitch.
LB Zion Grimes - 30 - Pyathora Mariners AFC - 11 caps, 1 goal, 0 assists
A veteran wing back that has limited technical abilities, but with an impressive physique and stamina, able to run and
run and run and whip in precise crosses.
CB Randy Kovalchuk - 23 - Port Rhovanyon AFC - 17 caps, 0 goals, 2 assists
Part of what has been dubbed the "Wall of Tikariot" during the IFC with James Coronello. A towering presence with very
strong aerial skills he is not afraid of using his body to the fullest extent of the law.
CB Eren Knox - 31 - Oriannor Mountaineers FC - 5 caps, 0 goals, 0 assists
A good part of the Mountaineers' successful season so far has been the outstanding defensive work of Eren Knox.
Uncompromising, yet fair, in his tackles, he also has a great opening game, able to quickly distribute balls from out
back
RB Vincent Liniack - 28 - Veriasod Lakers FC - 21 caps, 0 goals, 2 assists
A quick wing back with a good eye, enabling Tikariot to move conquered balls quickly forward, feeding either of the
wingers to tear apart the opposing defences and opening scoring opportunities.
LM Marvin Thorniley - 22 - Port Rhovanyon AFC - 25 caps, 7 goals, 7 assists
Instrumental in the outstanding form of his team in the league so far, Thorniley is a master of set pieces, blessed
with a foot that puts laser precision to shame. Be it to find the free team mate or a way over or around the opponents,
he possesses this innate talent that cannot be trained.
DM Rory McNair - 28 - Parakleion Firebirds FC - 25 caps, 6 goals, 2 assists
The fulcrum in the Tikariot midfield, McNair is the epitome of physical play. Uncompromising, physical with a knack
for monstrous tackles, McNair is there to disrupt, to destroy, but when he captures the ball, he also has the talent to
distribute it, short or long, being instrumental in switching from defence to offence. He also has a cannon of a shot
that has made some opposing players reconsider their spot in the wall during freekicks.
RM Jenson McTierney - 18 - Ysgrann Bay Eagles FC - 10 caps, 2 goals, 4 assists
One of THE shooting stars of the current TPL season, McTierney has raw talent and seemingly boundless creativity. He
attempts (and often manages) to create chances that should not exist, find spaces that are not there and just overall
try things that a 'normal' player would not even dream of attempting. The downside is that he sometimes surprises his
teammates as much as his opponents, causing some of these outbursts of genius to turn into dangerous situations, which
also can be attributed to his lack of experience.
LW Morris Nighthorse - 18 - Baraldhur AFC - 13 caps, 4 goals, 5 assists
Nighthorse also is part of the Tikariotian "Young Guns" (together with Thorniley, McTierney, McIlroy, Aspinall and
Liljestrand) that have taken the Tikariotian Premier League by storm this season. Not only is he the league leader in
scored goals with 26 to date, he also has been an outstanding player in the national team, widely being lauded as one
of the hottest prospects in world football today. He is one of the fastest players in the TPL, making him a nightmare for
opposing defenders. He is not the most physical player, but his sheer speed allows him to avoid tackles easily.
CF Trey Burnett - 29 - Veriasod Lakers FC - 3 caps, 1 goal, 0 assists
Trey Burnett has been one of the breakout players of the season with 19 goals to date. At the age of 29 he could be
called a late bloomer, but as the season progressed he just became stronger and stronger. He is a very physical presence
in the box, able to draw two defenders and opening holes for other players to push into.
RW Jardel Connolly - 24 - Port Rhovanyon AFC - 9 caps, 2 goals, 1 assist
Second best goal scorer in the Tikariot Premier League with 24, Jardel Connolly does not show particularly high speed
or technical skill or physical prowess, but he has a great eye for the situation and the courage to take any shot he
can, no matter how far from goal or how unlikely it may seem. Where Nighthorse is a defender's nightmare due to his
speed, Connolly's ability to score from half a chance make him a terror for any goalkeeper.

Players - Reserve:
G Romain Chatelet - 25 - Baraldhur AFC - 3 caps, 0 goals, 0 assists
Even though Baraldhur's fortunes have gone down in the league of late, if it was not for the outstanding goaltending of
Chatelet, they would likely be stranded somewhere in mid-table no-man's land. His reflexes on the line are phenomenal, but
he has shown some issues with high balls, but with centre backs with strong aerial skills this should be a negligible
issue.
G Esteban Arrondo - 30 - Veriasod Lakers FC - 0 caps, 0 goals, 0 assists
A veteran goaltender, who is not flashy or has any phenomenal traits, but he is an all around strong goalie that has helped
Veriasod to qualify for the Taça das Confederações. He is the rock in the stormy sea, with an extremely calm demeanour,
literally nothing can rock him.

LB Clement McIlroy - 19 - Baraldhur AFC - 9 caps, 0 goals, 0 assists
The only thing standing in McIlroy's way to be a first team player in the national team, other than Zion Grimes, is his
lack of experience. He has speed, a great eye for his team mates, but still has room for improvement in his decision making,
getting caught out of position just a little bit too often.
LB Alasdair Dunlap - 26 - Port Rhovanyon AFC - 2 caps, 0 goals, 0 assists
One of the most defense-minded leftbacks in the league, Dunlap has proven that he can neutralize almost any offensive threat
coming his way, however one should not expect any offensive contributions in return.
CB James Coronello - 28 - Port Tacassam FC - 23 caps, 2 goals, 2 assists
The other half of "the Wall", Coronello is shorter than Kovalchuk, but more than makes up for it with speed and an
uncanny ability to time tackles perfectly, unnerving his opponents.
CB Peter Buckley - 26 - Carathyr Emeralds FC - 6 caps, 0 goals, 0 assists
Nothing flashy, Buckley is a no-nonsense defender that will not participate much in the passing play or move past the middle
line much, but if a player dares to come his way, they better pray that they can get rid of the ball before they meet him.
CB Walter Thomas - 18 - Anhedron Wanderers FC - 2 caps, 0 goals, 0 assists
A rising star in the TPL, Thomas has had a lot to do with Anhedron's almost meteoric rise in the second half of the season,
bringing them all the way to fourth position and with that the IFCF Challengers' Cup. He is a force in the air and also is
learning to use his bulk to prevent opposing attackers to have a path to the goal.
RB Edwin Keylick - 25 - Parakleion Firebirds FC - 2 caps, 1 goal, 0 assists
One of the shining stars in the Firebirds' mediocre at best season, Keylick has shown tremendous speed and great ball control
that has helped him mask some of his defensive weaknesses, where he gets caught out of position just a bit too often to be
considered the starting right back in the national team.
RB Anil Al Hak - 25 - Port Tacassam FC - 1 cap, 0 goals, 0 assists
Very solid right back that does not get rattled easily. Strong defensively he does not go forward much, but has a great eye
to read the game and his passes out the back are renowned throughout the TPL, gaining him more assists than a lot of more
offensive wing backs.

CM Giovanni Vacarese - 24 - Pyathora Mariners FC - 12 caps, 4 goals, 2 assists
One of the TPL's technically more gifted players he can run circles around most of his opponents and also is a dead-ball
specialist that can curl a free kick like few others. Given his size he is not great against very physical defending, but
he has used his technique to get out of hairy situations many times.
AM Ozan Welch - 22 - Port Rhovanyon AFC - 4 caps, 1 goal, 1 assist
Playing for the runaway leaders of the Tikariot Premier League, Welch has really come into his own during the season, turning
into the Kraken's master conductor in offensive midfield. With a good physical game and a great eye for his team mates he is
one of the assist leaders of the league.
AM Donald Jowlit - 29 - Bul Khungur Miners FC - 2 caps, 0 goals, 0 assists
In a thoroughly forgettable campaign for the Miners, Jowlit was the motor that kept at least their offense running. Being mostly
let down by their defense, which was the second worst of the league, Jowlit was successful both in scoring and setting up, with
a deadly freekick that has defenders thing twice, if they want to join the wall.
DM Nicholas van Haar - 25 - Miruan City FC - 4 caps, 0 goals, 2 assists
Rory McNair's understudy, van Haar also is very physical and able to disrupt opponents. He is more hotheaded than McNair,
though, leading to more cautions and expulsions, something that he is trying to work on.
DM George Hancock - 20 - Eivora Athletic FC - 5 caps, 0 goals, 1 assist
A member of the extended squad at the IFC1, Hancock is back with the national team after being instrumental in Eivora's win
of the Cup of Tikariot. Less physical than McNair and van Haar, Hancock's game lives off his reading of the game and being
where the ball will be before the opponent.
CM Lloyd Cumbernauld - 24 - Veriasod Lakers FC - 9 caps, 2 goals, 2 assists
New to the national team, Veriasod's Lloyd Cumbernauld is a box to box player that can direct the game by either feeding
passes forward or go the distance himself. While not a particular scoring threat, he possesses excellent tactical acumen
that allows him to distribute balls quickly in attempts to tear holes into the defence.

LW/RW Iain Aspinall - 18 - Ysgrann Bay Eagles FC - 11 caps, 3 goals, 4 assists
Another "Young Gun". Despite being right-footed Aspinall plays on the left wing, where he has a tendency to cut inside with
incredible ball control and then use his right foot for dangerously curled shots at goal from any distance, having had
tremendous success for his team this season so far.
LW/RW Ellis Wagstaff - 25 - Miruan City FC - 2 caps, 0 goals, 0 assists
Forming a great duo with teammate Atlas Baxter, Wagstaff's versatility has earned him a nomination for the World Cup qualifiers.
He can play either side equally and is a great combination player that will be able to distribute the ball as well as he can
score himself, which he has done plenty of for Miruan, second in the league only behind Morris Nighthorse.
CF Graydon Sheffield - 24 - Pyathora Mariners FC - 20 caps, 12 goals, 2 assists
One of the most accomplished centre forwards Tikariot has to offer. What he lacks in defensive play, he more than makes up for
an uncanny talent to time his runs to either disable an offside trap, gain the necessary metres to beat the defenders
or just show up right where the pass or cross will land, making him a very potent offensive threat.
CF Jules Haney - 29 - Port Rhovanyon AFC - 2 caps, 0 goals, 0 assists
Before the season he was barely considered TPL material, but at the side of Jardel Connolly and the help of Ozan Welch as
orchestrator, he has truly found his own in the second half as one of the TPL's premier goal scorers. A towering presence in
the centre he has a nose for where the ball will come, benefiting from Connolly's uncanny shot rate and the resulting deflections.
CF Gary Conway - 18 - Bul Khungur Miners FC - 1 caps, 0 goals, 0 assists
With 26 goals Conway saved Bul Khungur's read more often than not and he might be the main reason why they are still in the TPL.
Not as physical as Sheffield or Haney, Conway is rather on the short side, but uses this to great effect as he is able to twist
and turn between the often towering defensemen.
LW/RW Adrian Grimaud - 23 - Port Tacassam FC - 3 caps, 1 goal, 1 assist
With his 18 goals this season so far, Grimaud is part of one of the most potent goal-scoring duos of the league together with
Oliver del Rosso. Blessed with speed, Grimaud can take the ball to the goal line and whip in dangerous crosses or cut inside
himself and go for goal or spot a better placed team mate to open up a better scoring opportunity.
LW/RW Parramore Haigh - 17 - Tikariot City FC - 2 caps, 0 goals, 0 assists
The youngest player in the squad, the young Tikariot City FC winger is mostly here to gain more experience. He is fast, with
great technique, but his inexperience still shows in too many unforced errors and lost balls. He has the potential, though, to
develop into a world-class winger.

The Official National Football Association Of Twicetagria

Image

Twicetagrian National Football Team
Национальная Сборная По Футболy Тваистайгрер (Twicetagrian Russian)
Ipsum de National Team Twicetagria (Latin)
Εθνική Oμάδα Ποδοσφαίρου της Τυαισταιγρo (ancient[?] Greek)
Echipa Națională de Twicetagram (Vampirian Romanian)

Another Introduction
Twicetagria, formerly known as Strayquestria and the Wolflands, is a country located in the western side(unofficial) of Atlantian Oceania. A humble population of about 23 million humans, sentient ponies, deities(mostly ancient Greek), werewolves, and vampires, Twicetagria is racially diverse. The de facto national languages include English, Twicetagrian Russian, ancient Greek and Latin, but there are 45 more known languages in Twicetagria.
Most of the Twicetagrian population lives in the huge, bustling metropolitan areas splattered throughout Twicetagria: Twice Square --the capital--, Alphaxrie(predominantly domesticated werewolves), Legothria and Sranchies(deities and demigods make up a large part of the demographics) and the newly founded Velikiygrad, which translates to 'great city' in Twicetagrian English.
The monarchs of Twicetagria are the highly-revered God Jihyo and Lord FLUTTERS. Tourists and foreigners are to abide by the rules set to respect any ruling power. The deities are mostly Roman or Greek gods who occasionally come and visit Twicetagria, due to ancient Greece and Rome having ties with us. There are also vampires who live in the Feruscian Highlands. They are a friendly and hospitable bunch, and their accommodation is usually 5-star. They speak English normally, but speak Romanian sometimes.

The Twicetagrian Football Team officially represents Twicetagria in men's international football since their maiden match in 202 P.Y. Their maiden international tournament competition, the AOCAF 60, was left unsuccessful. A disappointing BoF 72 finished off with a surprisingly successful WCQ85 and CoH, going to finish 4th in the former's group stage, and the Round of 32 in the latter. Most of Belgium's home matches are played at the Stray Kids Colosseum in Twice Square.

Helpful Information
Manager: Raiche Ryoviste (rai-sher iyo-vaish if you wanted the pronunciation)
Nickname: The Lieutenants
Formation: 5-2-2-1
Style Modifier: -2
First match: 1-2 loss, vs Chromatika
All-time scorer: too lazy to count
National Squad
Goalkeepers
1 | Jamie Han | no traditional writing | 29 years old | provisional Starting XI
12 | Rudolph Haniet | Рyдлф Хaнет | 23 years old
17 | Degezet Namin | Дeгeзет Haмин | 27 years old

Jamie Han has made a comeback into the national team after a largely successful WCQ85 season. Known as the Flying Frog by most fans, Han is agile and nimble, jumping around the goal to save the ball in. Despite his rapid aging, he will still be part of the Starting XI.
For the two newbies, Haniet and Namin, they've definitely made their mark domestically. Haniet was second to (guess who) Han in clean sheets in the Megalieger. Haniet is an exciting youth prospect, and it's exciting to see if he can step up to the international level.
Namin may only be 2 years younger than Han, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have skill. Rising through the ranks, into the Megalieger, Namin has had a whopping 83 clean sheets in his 205 career starts, all for FC 08 Niecenbadler. Will he be able to go against the best of the best though, we'll find out.

Defenders
2 | Korros Cho | no traditional writing | 32 years old | CB | provisional Starting XI
3 | Anastasia Romanov | Анастасия Романы | 21 years old | LB | provisional Starting XI
4 | Daniil Vasiliev | Даниил Васильев | 23 years old | CB | provisional Starting XI
5 | Stormy Martins | no traditional writing | 25 years old | CB | provisional Starting XI
6 | Ranischwei Holffman-Agapetus | Ἀγαπητός | 28 years old | RB | provisional Starting XI
14 | Doneimus Aelius | name is traditional | 32 years old | LB
16 | Ronnylla Mazepin | Poнныллa Мазепин | 23 years old | RB
18 | Garthapis Koulouris | Γκαρτάπι Κουλούρης | 18 years old | CB

If you hoped you'll never seen the Kim-era defenders again, here's Korros Cho to burst your bubble. However, despite his age Korros Cho has steadily improved from his much-unneeded chaos a few years ago. Now the captain of his team, he is a very straightforward and direct person who always bosses people(in a good way) around.
Straying away from the past, we have a fresh new line of defenders, who are probably better than last time round. We have the famous trio of very good defenders: Romanov, Vasiliev and Martins. Romanov may be one of the only females in the team, but that doesn't mean she isn't good. She lives up to the challenge, and her defending humiliates even the best of forwards. Vasiliev is a brash and brave person, never failing to take opportunities when he sees them. Stormy Martins may be a minority(he's a sentient pony), but that doesn't stop him from being a menace on the field.
Holffman-Agapetus may not have been mentioned above but he is still some quality person(too lazy to elaborate). Aelius may be old, but he still somehow earned a spot. We're not discarding his great skills and tackling prowess.
Mazepin and Koulouris are two young players, very keen to impress Ryoviste. Mazepin has helped her team out of troublesome counterattacks and corners, while Koulouris just loves the ball(too lazy to say anything else).

Midfielders
8 | Davidov Rominevskiy | Давидов Роминэвский | 25 years old | CM/CDM | provisional Starting XI
9 | Ronny Dargozhov | Poннй Дapгoжoв | 27 years old | CAM/LM/LW | provisional Starting XI
10 | Eli Apollon | Ελι Απόλλωνα | 23 years old | CAM/RM/RW | provisional Starting XI
15 | Adrian Vladimirescu | name is traditional | 28 years old | CM/CDM | provisional Starting XI
19 | Otola Jeremys | no traditional writing | 32 years old | CAM/LM/LW
21 | Tomas Hallescu | Toмac Xaллecкy | 30 years old | CAM/RW/RW
22 | Danazhivogorod Andi | Данaжyвoгopoд Aндй | 22 years old | CM/CDM/LM/LW

Basically everyone in the Kim-era have been eradicated. Under Raiche Ryoviste, the team has gone through a complete reform, with the midfield undertaking much change. Instead of just pure talent, Ryoviste is also looking for fast players who can charge through the flanks, and strong players who can shield oncoming players before damage is done to the defense.
The wingers all succeed in fulfilling the first priority. Dargozhov and Apollon are undoubtedly one of the fastest players in Twicetagria. Despite his aging, Dargozhov still has a lot of pace and speed. Obviously, without perfect ball control and dribbling, you would get nowhere. Apollon boasts one of the best first touches in the team, and never loses the ball. Adding that to his speed, he is unstoppable.
We're not going to discard Rominevskiy, though. As a lioness hunts down her prey, Rominevskiy tracks his opponents as if he were going to eat them. For his muscular build, he is very nimble and monkeylike. He creeps up to his targets without them suspecting. Then, he snatches the ball from them and pumps the ball upfield.
A. Vladimirescu may not share the same amount of fame as his striking twin, but he is known as the best academy graduate. He came from the Twicetagrian National Youth Academy. While he may not be as special as he was a few years ago, but he still holds much value.
Jeremys and Hallescu may be oldies, but they're still besties and gems for the national team. They are scary towards all kind of opposition, the way they are able to fire up the team as they attack the hapless defense of their opponents. Andi is also another female footballer on the rise. Already breaking the record number of assists, she looks like a players many will be fearing(and worshipping) soon.

Forwards
7 | Augustin Vladimirescu | name is traditional | 28 years old | provisional Starting XI
11 | Tengretz Aidor | Teнгpeц Aидop | 21 years old
13 | Heleklaisi Maelorus | Eλεκλαισι Mαελopησ | 25 years old
20 | Dovo Harakrets | no traditional writing | 30 years old
23 | Ben-Dover Longwangs | no traditional writing | 26 years old

The more famous twin, Augustin Vladimirescu is the new star of the team. He's a goal-scoring machine. An award-winning archer (his shots are accurate). A magician. He flexes his skills on his opponents in his way. He fakes the ball to the left, before swerving to his right. Dribbling towards goal, he drives it into the top left corner. Goal! That's the sort of magic he does on the daily.
Aidor, Maelorus and Harakrets require honorable mentions for having such class and such high quality in them. They all are like duplicates of each other: smart on the ball. They know what to do with them. They can defeat even the best of the defenders.
Longwangs is also a good player. Since the striker market is less demanding than others, Longwangs is like the best of the rest. Or vice versa.

Probable Starting XI

Romanov
Vasiliev
Martins
Holffman-Agapetus
Rominevskiy
Dargozhov

Vladimirescu

The Tactics Box
to be used to decide goalscorers
The Hitback Tiki-taka
This tactic is used when our defenders have won the ball from an (counter)attack, corner or goal. The attacking midfielders will be located just past the half-line, towards our goal. The defender who won the ball will then pass to the closest midfielder, usually the CM or CDM. He/she will then pass the ball to the striker or the attacking midfielders. They will then rush through to the goal. Passing the ball amongst each other, when they get the chance, they will strike.
- works when the back line is high up the pitch, or the opposing defense is caught slacking

The Pressuremaker
This tactic is used when the ball is intercepted or won in the middle third. The players will tire out the defense with quick play or passing. When the defense doesn't suspect anything, the ball will be passed to the wingers, who make a run along the flanks into the goal. The ball will be crossed into the box, where the other striker or attacking midfielder/winger will convert it into a shot.
- works late game when the back line is worn out

We don't particularly have tactics for balls won in the final third, or free kicks and corners. feel free to do your own thing.
These tactics don't have to be used by you if you don't want to. However, it is asked that you would, because it would make our play more realistic.

Where you will play
Image
Gold Coast international football stadium is a very nice stadium it holds up to 104,000 people and is the largest stadium in northwest Kalactin. Many people are surprised that the stadium has a retractable roof even though it is very hot in northwest Kalactin in fact the reason why the roof is there is because of the heat! One time it was 114 degrees Farinheight in Gold Coast so they put the roof up. Another thing to look for at the stadium is the before game tailgating there are many food trucks that stop by there and take advantage of the huge crowds. Lastly, be sure to visit the Northwest Kalactin soccer hall of fame that has many interesting artifacts jerseys and other stuff from Kalactanian football

History of The Team
The Kalactanian National Team has been around since the 79th version of the World Cup. The team started out from quiet beginnings finishing in the quarter finals in the 66th Baptism Of Fire against Filindostan. The 80th World Cup Team was highlighted by Jared Sednah and Wendell Jakerein, who ended up making the team of the qualifiers. Sednah was the top player on the team for the Next 2 cycled as he paired up with Luke Dillan to bring the team close to qualifying. Despite the valiant efforts by Dillan and Sednah the team couldn’t end up qualifying in the 82nd and 81st cups. The FA decided not to enter the team in for the 83rd qualifiers due to corruption in the association. The team was quickly eliminated in the 84th qualifiers. The current team is highlighted by younger players that hope to bring the team to the World Cup the the following years. In the 85th World Cup campaign the team put up one of their best qualifying performances. However, near the end of qualifying the team was shaken by the surprise retirement of the star goalkeeper Wendell Jakerein.

Dillan is a player that is that is not in his golden years of the 80th and 81st World Cup but still brings strength to the team. He brought prominence to Gold Coast Capital after moving there last year and continues to exceed expectations despite his age. He is a very flashy forward that is able to score a goal for all the fans when needed. His long Free Kicks brought attention to him in highlight clips recently and he can play on anyone. He is surprisingly coming back for another cycle, after being expected to retire after the last cycle, nobody knows what cycle 87 will hold for him.

Jimmy McCarthy Image Dalton United, Age: 26
Jimmy McCarthy was the future of Kalactanian football the second he stepped onto the Project Olimpo campus. He is a natural leader that can lift the spirits of any of his teammates and he brings great talent to the team. He is a bit weak however he makes up for it with his ability to make a move on anyone. Last cycle he was by far the best player on the team, going out and showing his goalscoring ability, and is able to work some magic out there.

Will Sanders Image Murwelldobah FC, Age: 30
Will Sanders is a player that has historically played midfield however he made the switch to midfielder a few years ago. One of the best players on the team he is always focused on making his teammates better through passing. He is a very creative player that likes to express his creativity on the pitch. He was responsible for assists on many of the goal.

Thomas Butler Image AC Itotz Zubia, Age: 18
The future of Kalactanian soccer, is now playing in Audioslavia, and is now with the national team for his first cycle on. He is a magic man by the net, and always seems to come out with the ball in 1-1 battles. He is one of the strongest, and fastest players to ever play for the nation, he will become a great duo with players like Jimmy McCarthey in the next few years, and you can look for him to score many goals. He wants this cycle to be his breakout cycle, and he wants to start it out wi a good AOCAF

Midfielders:
Steve Gilbert Image Toureres War eagles, Age: 31
Gilbert is a player in the middle of his prime. After showing how he could turn the War Eagles from a second tier team to a team earning UICA qualification the NT picked him up. He is a very athletically talented player that can outrun almost anyone on the pitch. He does lack some skills on the first touch but his athleticism helps him excel on the field.

Frank Owens Image Coffs Harbour FC, Age: 33
Owens has been a mainstay if the starting lineup of the NT since the 80th World Cup. He may be entering his last World Cup as he is very prone to injury’s. He plays a very aggressive game and has a fiery temper, things that can get him in trouble on the field. Owens is currently the team record holder for the most Cautions in one tournament, with 7.

Lamar Hall Image Ballina Red Devils, Age: 20
Lamar is on his very first cycle on the National Team, and he is a started already. He had a breakout season and helped the Ballina Red Devils earn theirselves a spot in IFCF play this season. He is the younger brother of established defender Matt Hall, and wants to become a reliable starter on the national team in the coming years. Look for him to pass a lot, he spends very little time with the ball once he gets possession.

Backs:
Matt Hall Image Fryi Frêndê, Age: 25
Matt Hall is another wonderkid that has been around on the team during recent cycles. He recently started playing in the Farfadillian leagues where he continues to develop as a player. Hall is one of the strongest players on the team athletically being one of the fastest on the team.

Joseph Anderson Image FC Harbour City, Age: 29
A newer player just recently called up to the National Team, Anderson has exceeded expectations for the team. He recently just entered his prime and he improves very quickly. He does tack up a large number of injuries though, which is concerning for his future on the team. Anderson is a great on-ball defender and can play physically if needed.

Larry Martinez Image AC Itotz Zubia, Age: 26
Martinez is a new defender to the National squad. He played his only appearance before this when he came in as a sub in a Wonder Cup game against Delaclava. He also is a teammate of young striker Thomas Butler, so look for those 2 to have some good chemistry on the field. Just like his preceding teammate at the position, Jake Dakota, he is a reliable defender that has good ball control.

Goalkeeper:
Mark Romero [img]Flag%20to%20come[/img] CF Bondstad, Age: 25
After taking over from the legend Wendell Jakerein, Romero started the final games of the World Cup 85 qualification. Romero is a very young keeper that can look to become a successful player on the Kalactanian National team. Unlike his preceder, Romero is a player that has very good athleticism. What he lacks though, is the tactical smarts that Jakerein possessed

Away Kit:

Big shout out to Ziwana for making this kit. Despite Sylestone's national side being Appliances, there have been complaints from the public about not having a kit, so we have taken that into account.

Brick Wall
Position: Goalkeeper
About: The Brick Wall is quite literally a Brick Wall in the goals, stopping almost every shot. However, his dimensions are far off the dimensions of a soccer goal, so goals still go in as he shuffled around.
Dirty Tactics: Ramming into the occasional striker who dribbles the ball towards him instead of just shooting.

Ironing Board
Position: Defender
About: The Ironing Board is well known across Sylestone for his brilliant defence and his ability to stop almost every dribbling striker in their tracks.
Dirty Tactics: Used his flexible legs to stop the ball from passing through the defence and uses his iron to warn off opposing strikers with its heat.

Dishwasher
Position: Defender
About: The Dishwasher is an interesting character in the Sylestonean defence. His large body stops a lot of balls from going into the goalmouth.
Dirty Tactics: Speed water everywhere in the defence, especially in the second half, which bogs the playing field, stopping many offensive moves in their tracks.

Tumble Dryer
Position: Striker
About: One of Sylestone’s main two strikers, the Tumble Dryer is a brilliant but inaccurate goal scorer for the Sylestonean side. One to watch.
Dirty Tactics: Spins the ball around in his Dryer and flings it at the goal. Also shuts the machine and carries the ball inside it.

Washing Machine
Position: Defender
About: Another large sentient object in the defence, the Washing Machine is once again, another player who stops many offensives with his large body.
Dirty Tactics: Is basically a combination of the Dishwasher and Tumble Dryer. Spews water everywhere and flings the ball out of himself at odd angles.

Sofa
Position: Defender
About: Sylestone's defence is full of their largest sentient athletes and the Sofa is the largest of them. His defence has been the best all tournament and he runs the backline. A lot will be reliant on him if Sylestone are to get a respectable result this tournament.
Dirty Tactics: Can speak into the minds of opposition, giving them a feeling of wanting to sit down and relax.

Fridge:
Position: Midfielder
About: Another large object, but this time it is located in Sylestone's midfield. He is the king of dirty tactics and runs opponents down with his buff body. Easily the most laughable of all of the Sylestonean Appliances.
Dirty Tactics: Has many of them, most of which can't be named. His main one is shutting his door and running towards the goal with the ball inside. Others include his super-appliance jumping skills and cold breath.

Bar Stool
Position: Midfielder
About: If the Fridge is the dirtiest, the Bar Stool is the cheekiest. He doesn't have any of his own dirty tactics, but he "allies" with another object and uses them to perform his own. Definitely an unpredictable character and one to watch out for.
Dirty Tactics: One of his tactics is to be the one who kicks the ball inside the Fridge when he goes off on his run. He also stands on other objects to reach high balls.

Drawer
Position: Defender
About: One of Sylestone's lesser defenders, the Drawer is quite a stationary object in the defence. He stands in your road and doesn't let you past and is more of a sweeper. Still, a force to be reckoned with, though.
Dirty Tactics: Keeps the ball in one of his chests when they are doing well so the opposition has a lesser chance of scoring.

Stove:
Position: Midfielder
About: I always thought a Stove without pots and pans would be useless, but it isn't so. This stove has a couple of sneaky tricks up his sleeve and is certainly one of the Sylestonean players the opposition midfielders need to deal with sooner rather than later.
Dirty Tactics: Makes the air really hot around him, as opposed to the Fridge.

Mixer
Position: Striker
About: Arguably Sylestone's most valuable player, the Mixer is a star dribbler and striker. His goal scoring ratio isn't so great and that is mainly the Tumble Dryer's job, but he is the one that actually gets the ball to that point. However, he is quite unpredictable and sometimes his dribbling skills go horribly wrong, especially considering the ball is about the size of his body.
Dirty Tactics:
Weaves in and out of defenders with his tiny size and amazing dribbling skills. Gets unplugged a bit too often, though.

Reserves:
Table - Goalkeeper
Spiderwebs - Midfielder
Toilet - Defender

Staff:
Manager: Toilet
Coach: Toaster

23. GK Larut Theshendan (30) - Maethoru SC
24. GK Perry Cholmondeley (28) - Maynard AFC

Some strange moves after the completion of the last IFCF: Dennis Lampshire, co-captain and easily the most prolific player on the national team, was moved to the reserves on the back of an atrocious form to close out the season. Confidence is a big part of his game, and if that's gone, there's not much left to salvage his play. His normal understudy is Ethan Benjamin... who suffers from the same problems. Ko-orenite players seem to suffer in the immediate season after moving abroad, it seems. Benjamin is further hit by the uncertainty about the future of Cosumar's league. Hellegeland has topped up on confidence with the amazing Straudum VV season. Arceneaux is given the nod at left centre-back, with Van Schelven moved to centre - the 1830 Cathair player doesn't have any of the first-year troubles, and is a starter on one of the multiverse's biggest teams right now! Tij Breukelaar would have been selected as well, if he didn't go to the Olympic team.

Defenders
2. LF Peter Hellegeland (26) - Straudum VV
13. LF Oridhin Hergulauthen (26) - Maethoru SC
25. LF Russell Swadling (29) - Cirelbourne United
3. LB Gré Arceneaux (24) - Cirelbourne United
14. LB Dani Ardouin (25) - Katashi-Kanatsu
4. CB Minne van Schelven (24) - 1830 Cathair, AUD
15. CB Norbert Pott (29) - Johnho United, DAR
26. CB Dennis Lampshire (27) - Raven River, NPH
5. RB Hikomoto Mizuno (23) - Katashi-Kanatsu
16. RB Obadiah Parrott (26) - Busukuma Athletic Club, BNJ
6. RF Aesimila Aelisire (25) - Straudum VV
17. RF Ézo Gicquel (23) - Bruncester United AFC
27. RF Pette Grootenhuis (25) - IFK Liverpool United, DAR

More familiar names in midfield: Yokota is back for another campaign as captain. Defensive midfielder, as important as the position is to the Ko-orenite style, is a position we're really shallow on. Behind Yokota, Magrath deserves a chance, but further down there's a lot of interchangeable talent. Palethorpe has earned a transfer for Quebec and can show us what he's learned if he gets a turn as sub. At central midfield, Gregory bursted onto the scene with the opportunity to be a starter even! Most of the talent at the position is under 23 right now, so Juliasterinthen will have to decide whether DM remains the pivot, or that the midfield will be playing a bit more of a central and attacking role going forward. On the wings, Janoreirinthen is still the authority with a starting job as central midfielder when needed. These positions are a lot deeper, with plenty of pace options (yChibwod, Batchelor) or dangerous around the goal (Nakazono), or a bit of everything (Janoreirinthen), so it's at least a little curious why Juliasterinthen insists on selecting three DMs. Attacking midfield is settled for another 8 years with Longchambon, the most talented player from the archipelago in the last decade at least, locking that down.

Midfielders
7. DM Reizo Yokota (31) - Katashi-Kanatsu
28. DM Cornelious Magrath (24) - Miradela GD
29. DM Ned Palethorpe (33) - PLI Islanders, QUE
8. LM Saushilu Janoreirinthen (26) - Maethoru SC
30. LM Bawfreon yChibwod (25) - Tanques AOE
18. CM Jess Gregory (23) - Bruncester United AFC
31. CM Jurre Hilberdink (25) - Schemerdrecht SVV
19. RM Harold Batchelor (24) - Blacklake Blues, TAE
32. RM Moha Nakazono (26) - Katashi-Kanatsu
10. AM Maximilien Longchambon (25) - Revolutionaries, EUR
20. AM Nubolzasun Lalaseringun (26) - Maethoru SC

The team's revolving door position - that's all forwards - sees another caroussel. The Top League mostly relies on foreign talent: Tjessem from Quebec, Rozier from Abanhfleft, Tang from Poafmersia, Sonnel from Chromatika, to name the players that keep popping up on scoring sheets. Ko-orenite forwards seem to get less and less accurate.

Attackers
9. SS Samou Vallotton (32) - Branvon CD
21. SS Kherles Ensaunden (25) - Maethoru SC
34. SS Mata Vaugrenard (26) - Maethoru SC
11. LS Domingos Noya (29) - Miradela GD
22. ST Kenji Miyahara (26) - Tanques AOE
33. ST Antoine Duchemin (27) - Starling, NPH
35. ST Ruben de Meester (34) - Capital FC, XAN

Starting lineup usually consists of numbers 1-11.
Selection usually consists of number 1-23.

Penalties: Longchambon, Vallotton
Free kicks: Longchambon, Hellegeland
Corner kicks: Yokota, Janoreirinthen

Most likely to get booked: Lampshire, Hellegeland, Gregory, Noya
Most likely to draw fouls: Longchambon, Batchelor, Van Schelven

Common substitutions:
- In case of injuries: defender for defender, striker for striker, midfielder for midfielder
- Defending a win: Midfielder for striker, defensive midfielder for other midfielders
- In need of a goal: Striker for RB/CB/LB, RM/LM for RB/CB/LB/DM

Feel free to break with these patterns, though.

Gavon is a wonderful Midfielder with heaps of talent. He has tons of Dribbling skills and has a knack for Free Kicks. He is also able to tackle well. Jin Tze is a experienced passer who is able to hold the ball well and sets up attacks with ease. Viszier Felon, bought from 2 division club Toisipi is a young speedster who can speed down the lines, cutting in or crossing. He can shoot from any distance. Huigen is a first choice midfielder with tons of experience and is able to tower over enemies. He has been replaced by Sua Chow, the talent from Horimat Academy doing well at The Zebras United, and is raring for some proper first team experience. Stockain Lelop was unknown until a few months ago, where he pushed Masting United to Promotion to the first Division. He is able to push through defenders with ease. Huli has been making strides at club level and has been given a place into the team. Santi is a Midfielder who has excelled in club but not in country. He may be able to make a breakthrough after improvement in his last national Matches.

Forwards
#21 Rivilia Yunsala, 27, Vixer Town, 19 Caps, 11 Goals
#9 Juyt Dersa, 18, West Juxe United, 12 Caps, 10 goals
#20 Sami Ning, 20, Nationale Jovannica, 2 Caps, 0 Goals

#10 Thomas Behine, 25, Ninhein United, 11 Caps, 6 Goals
#22 Deingh Kian, 34, New Hope City, 4 Caps, 4 Goals
Thomas is a quick attacking forward able to dodge defenders and score goals. Ianu is a false 9, able to hold the ball and pass it around. He has let Juyt Dersa take centre stage, the phoenomenon making waves in both the SWC and DBC. He is looking to get Senior team experience. He has a good presence on the field. Jovan is the best player of the National Team, able to dribble, pass and wriggle out of impossible situations, He has a knack of being at the right place at the right time. Sami is like Ianu, able to hold the ball and pass well. He needs to work on his recent goal drought. Rivilia is an experienced forward with good balance of speed and strength. Deingh is a veteran Winger able to cross extremely well and able to hold his own against 3 to 4 defenders.

Coach: Gonzal Mathee
This coach style is a quick passing, innovative, and fluid style of game, weaving chances for his prolific strikers to strike. He is able to use training to the right extent to train the team to a well-oiled machine. He is very emotional, crying and celebrating along with his team. In his Prime, he played for Varla Crlak United. He is able to understand the plight of his players, and is able to help players. He has attention to detail, and often travels to scout opponent tactics and such.

Emperor Boston is only listed once and he himself will be representing the Bostopian nation in the latest set of Qualifiers and Finals, should they progress.

While he is listed only once, he will also be occupying all 11 positions on the pitch at the same time as well as making up the substitutes bench as well as the coaching staff.

As Emperor Boston has literally lost his marbles, the laws of physics no longer appear to apply to him. Thus, eleven Emperor Bostons will be seen on the pitch, with a host of others on the bench/touchline/Royal Box/scouting in the stadia of other nations, whilst there is also only one of them in existence at any one time.

However, should Emperor Boston score whilst playing, for example, right-back, this should be listed separately on the scoresheet from when he scores in any other position. Please note the following example, where he scores directly from a goal kick, then scores two from the same left-sided central midfield position (as opposed to one goal from each central midfielder)

Emperor Boston (29)
Emperor Boston (43, 86)

In the above, it is plainly obvious that Emperor Boston has scored whilst playing as a goalkeeper and the left-sided central midfielder. Please keep to this formatting in match reports for simplicity. Emperor Boston is not a very good football player though, so we don’t anticipate him scoring many goals, thus reducing the need for any confusion to occur in the first place.

Do whatever you want basically, just don't kill or claim you’ve figured out which one is real and by murdering him you’ve been able to have Bostopia forfeit the match or something. Because that wouldn’t work so please don’t try it (murdering the immortal leads to quite a nasty paper cut for the murderer(s)). An RP that makes me laugh would make me eternally grateful.

Manager: Meriadoc Griffiths Image, age 50

Goalkeepers
GK: Borka Szekeres, age 26, CA Paulinthal (F)
GK: Lisístrato Ramírez Alvardo, age 33, Cornellians Image
GK: Szescõ Mezei, age 26, Hellinic Rouge
GK: Ambrus Galambos, age 31, Stein-los Turkish
GK: Guglielmo Lo Duca, age 31, Atlantea Hurricanes Image

Galambos might have been a bit of a late bloomer, as well as Alvardo, but the both of them have come on strong as the have rounded the thirty mark and currently do not look like slowing down one bit. Galambos has the added benefit of helping get the side right during the Eagles' Cup and then being part of the side that finally broke the qualification funk that the team was in. However Alvardo is expected to get starts to, having played astoundidly since his move to Schottia, which has really seen a huge boost to his career trajectory, even if it is likely to taper off soon. Mezei would likely be among the fight for the second spot but the lack of being the true number one from Hellinic means he still has to fight off Lo Duca, who has bounced back after a surprising move to Taeshan, and first year stalwart at CAP in Szekeres.

Defenders
LB: Rozalia Sebeôk, age 29, Duke of the North (F)
LB/LW: Deli Ács, age, 28, Directus Image
LB: Carlo Iadanza, age 30, Galatica

R/CB: Tabor Csikós, age 28, Spartangrad Image
RB: Igor Topić, age 30, Alnio Image
RB: Anita Szarka, age 25, Sardin United (F)

The manager has kept in his changes from two years ago and did not meddle too much with the majority of the unit having quite good domestic seasons to warrant their selections still. The entire defensive unit is hitting the prime of their careers and should ever the team be able to rely upon their centerbacks and fullbacks to cover in matches the offensive flame sputters out, this ought to be the year. All of them are in good form, all are in their prime, and all want to show that the defensive unit for the Wanderers is not a liability as it has been billed to be in the last three years. Deli Ács has truly come into his own and is as comfortable defending as he is moving forward with great covering centerbacks in Meier and Szöllössy, the latter seeing his defensive partner at Spartangrad getting put into the pull after numerous good seasons in the Gold League. This is a strong unit on paper, it is now up to them to go out onto the pitch and perform as an elite defensive unit for one of the world's better teams, a task that could mean whether or not the Wanderers start a new consecutive qualification streak or not.

Midfielders

RW: Davorka Čerkez, age 32, Hellinic Rouge (F)
RW: Jan Gersten, age 31, Bastion Image
RW: Ildiko Kálmán, age 25, Lujano Image (F)
AMC: Mária Vöröss, age 28, Royal Canterlot HC Image
A/MC: Márió Szölösi, age 25, Ulsa Image
D/MC: Szalyk Földessy, age 28, Ibini FC Image
D/MC: Zita Szöcs, age 29, Mar Sara FC Image (F)
A/MC: Ors Rátz, age 30, CA Paulinthal
D/MC: Ubul Kuruc, age 23, FC Felsenkirchen 1879 Image
LW: Magdalena Debeljak, age 31, Hellinic Rouge (F)
LW: Pellegrin Csapó, age 25, Marque Image
LW: Etilka Szöllössy, age 29, Manechester City HC Image (F)

During the Qualifiers two years ago, there was a large amount of question marks about how strong the midfield actually was, lacking anything resembling a star player in its group. That question was answered to some good success and stars were born in the form of Gersten, who might have already had a bit of shine to him, as well as Mária Vöröss. The Equestrian based attacking midfielder seemed to be a key to many good offensive movements from the Wanderers in the middle, while Gersten was dynamic on the wing, and the whole midfield seemed to grow stronger and more together as the qualifiers went on. Only a few changes to the group, with the young Ubul Kuruc getting a surprise inclusion in the pool after their domestic club had an outstanding run in the IFCF. While I would not expect many appearances for the young midfielder, it is a good sign for his potential as well as that of the league where he plies his trade and continued the trend of Griffiths rewarding those who hit good form with places in the pool.

Strikers

AMC/ST: Alexander Jager, age 32, Revolutionaries Image
AML/ST: Boriska Nagy, age 23, Spartangrad Image (F)
ST: Adrián Makai, age 30, North Hall Image
ST: Réka Szôllôssi, age 30, Stein-los Turkish (F)
ST: Nataša Horvat, age 30, Olympia FC Image (F)
ST: Júlia Müller, age 29, Rozelle Image (F)

The time has come for Jager to go from an every match starter to an every other match starter and super sub off the bench for the national team, as he has perhaps lost half a step if that. Regardless of if he is starting every game or not, it is clear that the Wanderers' attack will be focused on making use of the speed and technical skill of Müller, who has become quite an accomplished striker since her big money move to Rozelle. Horvat will likely be the striker alternating starts with Jager, as her clinical finishing can be of use, while Makai is a solid option if some punch is needed. Nagy and Szôllôssi both offer speed as well, though the later has a more polished game at this point in their respective careers.

Formation And Tactics
Image

A new attitude and approach to the selection policy with a slight tweak in tactics and Griffiths was able to turn the Wanderers back around. While the failures in the Finals will no doubt be leaving a sting in both the team and manager's mouth, having expected to a bit better in the Finals and then the Copa Rushmori, there is progress. The pace of the team is probably at the highest it has ever been under Griffiths while the entire team can play well with the ball at their feet, a trait of technical prowess that Griffiths is known for. When they can, the team will look to hit their opponents hard on the counter with that pace but can grind out a possesion based attack with their technical skills if the need arises.
Captain: Deli Ács
Corner Taker: Jan Gersten
Set Pieces: Mária Vöröss

Postby Kelssek » Sat Aug 15, 2020 7:35 am

Summary
Kelssek's strengths are in the midfield, with "Galactico" Colm Ó Tuathail and "discount Galactico" Gabriel Lapierre supplying bags of skill and creative flair. Kelssek's tactical culture is fluid and direct, generally favouring technical and versatile players. The main weakness is the right midfield/winger position, where right-backs, forwards, and midfielders have all been played out-of-position to fill the gap (although the culture of positional fluidity does help a bit here).

Squad
Kai Poirier GK, Kirkenes FC, b. Burnaby, KO (age 35) - 77 caps | 3-time KFL Goalkeeper of the Year whose strengths in positioning and distribution keep him the clear number one choice. Returned to Kelssek after his club in Cosumar was plunged into existential uncertainties.

Cathal Gallagher GK, FK Vlaikograd 1896 [STL], b. Tête-Jaune, Konoha (age 25) - 39 caps | An agile, technically sound shot-stopper. Could do better in commanding his area and susceptible to getting bullied at corners.

Cale Shaughlin GK, CS Saint-Remy, b. Wynleth, NC (age 27) - 3 caps | Has been the number one for the team that won two straight Kelssek Football League Championship titles and hopefully now the national team will notice him senpai.

Thamior Liadon D L/R, Burnaby SC, b. Firith Forest Elven Territory (age 121) - 90 caps, 14 goals | Marauding full-back who likes to get forward and play the overlap.

Damien Halliger D C, Holdenburg City [EUR], b. Old Taunton, Noua Cymru (age 24) - 81 caps, 3 goals | Traditional stay-at-home hard-man central defender. Looks to establish dominance in the air.

Mason Curtin D C, Kirkenes FC, b. Brampton, Noua Cymru (age 31) - 51 caps | An old-school hard-tackling centre-back, who can kind of competently play a breakout pass. Does not enjoy giant scorpion hunting.

Tim Bowler D L, Bayern Phoenix [TAE], b. Newmarket, NC (age 26) 67 caps, 3 goals | Made the Galacticos longlist this year. A solid defensive full-back who can hold up the ball and overlap well. Was caught up in a controversy a few years ago when a tabloid deemed his licking the yoghurt off the foil top a disgusting habit.

Joseline Fourtin D C, Felswyr [CMT], b. Neorvins (age 28) - 13 caps | Technically sound in the tackle, good positioning, average in the air. Impressed in the Independents Cup after getting a chance following some stellar club form as the first-choice centre back for the best defensive team in the KFL.

Ashley Douglass D/M R, CF Outineau, b. Saint-Rémy, Beaulac (age 27) - 82 caps, 4 goals | An attack-minded full back. Uses her dribbling ability to get forward and make runs into channels.

Phillip Lozic D C, Burnaby SC, b. Stawamus, Konoha (age 20) - 9 caps | Mobile, athletic central defender with a strong aerial presence.

Ruslan Demetriev [captain] M C, Workers Union [EUR], b. Glen Eira, Etnier (age 32) - 109 caps, 10 goals | Box-to-box midfielder with an ability to win the ball and keep it moving upfield. Often watched for the strange designs he gets shaved into his hair.

Colm Ó Tuathail M L, Shamrock Cathair [AUD], b. Colwyn, Noua Cymru (age 25) - 68 caps, 16 goals | Made history as Kelssek's first-ever "Galactico", allegedly the second-best left winger in the world, in a season that saw him become a regular feature of the first 11 on one of Audioslavia's top clubs. A goalscoring threat who also has the acceleration and dribbling skill to give defences the literal run-around.

Rémy Dionne M LC, South Laithland [NPH], b. Sainte-Anne-sur-Lichy, Roites (age 28) - 68 caps, 9 goals | A box-to-box dynamo who can nip the ball away from behind a player and launch the counterattack in an instant.

Gabriel Lapierre AM/F C, 1093 Club de Atlantea [TAE], b. Laval, Beaulac (age 25) - 97 caps, 21 goals | Exciting, creative midfielder and a potent attacking threat thanks to his ability to find passing lanes others don't. Former Taeshan Foreign Player of the Year and was named to the "Galacticos" shortlist as one of the world's 50-ish best players.

Mason Blueman AM C, Soldarian FC [VAL], b. Colwyn, NC (age 28) - 19 caps, 4 goal | A surprise nomination on the latest Galacticos longlist, he does all the basic things well and is a solid all-rounder. A bit of a late bloomer who worked his way into the starting eleven at Soldarian after ditching his sinking hometown club.

Andrey Yusupov M R, Strathcona Internationals, b. Vickery, Conryia (age 26) - 12 caps, 2 goals | Quick winger with a deadly accurate cross, not the best dribbler for how often he tries to beat defenders doing it.

James McDonald M LR, Rolalas FC [VAL], b. Dartmoor, Haligonia (age 27) - 5 caps | A two-footed, versatile winger. Level-headed and unspectacular, tends to cut inside on the byline.

Shaheen Taleb AM C/ST, Sleepy Hollow [TAE], b. Mineru, Konoha (age 24) - 73 caps, 34 goals | Can freeze the defence with his excellent close control and is a highly composed finisher. Plays best as a deep-lying forward.

Brayden Custworth ST, Chenoworth Rovers [NPH], b. Clayquot, Etnier (age 29) - 101 caps, 52 goals | Deep-lying striker who is as adept in playing in his teammates as shooting the ball. Good vision and awareness and strong technique.

Matthew Lister ST, Blue Strike Zoloroni [MRC], b. Vickery, Conryia (age 30) - 75 caps, 29 goals | The archetypal target-man, a prolific scorer when he's on form, but tends to be a streaky player.

Seamus Wylten ST, Clayquot City, b. Brandon, Etnier (age 24) - 20 caps, 13 goals | Doesn't do anything fancy, but he's an instinctive finisher and has a great sense of where to position himself to get chances.

Loïc Maçon-Petrault ST, Unioneers [EUR], b. Saint-Rémy, BL (age 22) - 14 caps, 8 goals | An elusive and quick striker and noted jazz fan. Lots of raw talent, but can be lacking in composure in front of the net.
Gabriel Farahani D R, Rockridge Phoenix [BRE], b. Novonaya, Lupinissa (age 28) - 38 caps, 2 goals | Athletic and determined defensive full-back, but doesn't offer much going forward.
Ryan Dumont D L, Strathcona Internationals, b. Kirkenes, Noua Cymru (age 29) - 9 caps | Positionally sound, technically average, likes to take on his opponent. This occasionally has disastrous results.
Caelin Vinter D R, AFC Westpike [BRE], b. Mazinaw (age 29) - 5 caps | A workhorse down the right side with high stamina and decent ball-winning ability, but he can be temperamental and his elbows hit opponents in the face a bit too often to be just coincidence.
Adrian Tremblay-Fillon M C, 1912 Stellburg [STL], b. Saint-Richard, Beaulac (age 27) - 64 caps, 5 goals | A gangly player with high work-rate, passing and technical skills, who loves to play the killer pass.
Cory Greenwood M C, Ulsa Rovers [EUR], b. Natanel, Lupinissa (age 31) - 21 caps, 2 goal | Ball-winning defensive midfielder with above-average athleticism. His game is to win the ball and pass it off to a more creative teammate.
Matts Bogdanor M C, Marketville [EUR], b. East Fallowfield, Etnier (age 24) - 35 caps, 2 goal | No-nonsense holding midfielder who can surprise with a 30-yard banger every once in a while.
Adam Corvin M C, CF Outineau, b. Mazinaw, Conryia (age 30) - 13 caps, 2 goals | Versatile midfielder who can do a decent defensive or playmaking job as needed.
Issac Lafrenière M LC, Kionao Locals [TUR], b. Outineau, Beaulac (age 20) - 0 caps | Creative, flashy, can unlock the defence with incisive passing from deep, and drops like a rag doll if he thinks he can get a free kick.
Eva Karven ST, Kirkenes FC, b. (age 21) - 1 cap | Stormed onto the scene in the KFL Championship as the leading scorer on one of the big teams in her rookie season.
Roman Torshen ST, Norrion Rovers [EFL], b. Mistigwyn, NC (age 20) - 7 caps, 2 goals | Bagged a lot of goals at the KFL level thanks to a poacher's instinct for where the ball's going to be, but he's also got a wicked shot from his right foot and likes to power them in. Middling movement and pace (which suits his 'second wave' SOP anyway), relies on his bag of tricks to get past defenders.

Manager: Andrea Crowe | The former manager of Ritter Town in Nephara is the first foreign manager of Kelssek. Preferred formation: 4-4-2
Honours: Cup of Harmony 43 champions, 2-time Ad'ihan Challenge Trophy winners
Direct free-kicks: Gabriel Lapierre
Corners: Colm Ó Tuathail (L), Ashley Douglass (R)
Penalties: Matthew Lister, Brayden Custworth, Shaheen Taleb

Fan culture
Kelssek's national teams are nicknamed the Voyagers in reference to the fact that major international tournaments are practically always in a different region and many time zones away (unless Kelssek is hosting it, of course).
Maybe Tomorrow is common to all national teams:
Voyagers, they keep on calling me
Down the road, that's where I'll always be
Onward Kelssek, the shout from everyone
Step by step, fighting on, till glory's won
Maybe tomorrow, our journey will be done
Until tomorrow, we'll just keep movin' on

Tune: "Maybe Tomorrow" (Littlest Hobo theme song)

Summer of 46 is sport-specific, and references the hosting of World Cup 46, the watershed in soccer actually becoming popular in Kelssek.
Got my first real football
Played it on a plastic pitch
Rubber pellets went everywhere
It was the cycle of forty-six
Oh when I look back now
Thought that it would last forever
Those were the football glory days

Tune: Summer of '69

Stadiums
Qualifying matches will rotate between three stadiums. You may choose which one if you are the first to RP the match. If you're not bothered to pick, go with Kirkenes as a default.

Exhibition Place, Kirkenes (cap. 38,600)
Home of Kirkenes FC and recently renovated to include roofs and a standing section of 3,200 on the southwestern corner section. Kirkenes is the largest city in Kelssek and has a 540m observation/broadcasting tower. It hosted the Cygnus Cup final not too long ago.
Kirkenes is the biggest city in Kelssek, a huge and bustling multicultural metropolis. The city's character comes through in neighbourhoods like Little Ariddia, Bathurst Gardens, and Lancaster Hill. Fashionable boutiques and other opportunities for bourgeois consumerism are located in the Rosewood area. The 540-metre Panopti Tower is an iconic landmark, the St. Jude Market is a good stop for fine foods or a quick meal, Melbourne Square and Caron Street are where to go out, and the Museum of Global Civilization is pretty cool to learn about history and cultures and stuff. The Loyalist Fort National Historic Site is where the enemies of the revolution holed themselves up. The city also has a lively microbrewery scene. See also the street map, and the TComm Subway.

Stade Intersat, Saint-Rémy (cap. 36,900)
Home of defending KFL champions CS Saint-Rémy.
Saint-Rémy is a vibrant heritage city which occupies a strategic location on a large island in the Suter river. The city's hilly terrain features numerous ancient staircases used for centuries to help residents get around. It is famed for the historic architecture of its old city, capped by the Chateâu Bonsecaselle which was built to defend the river. The history of the city and its role in the War of the Crowns can be explored at the castle, which offers the kids halberd fighting and archery lessons, and for the rest of stuff that happened up to today, try the Musée du Beaulac. The Bas-Saint-Louis district has the city’s best bistros and art galleries, and for the city's famous pastries go to the streets of Quai de Riom.

Stadium of the Stars, Ulyanof (44,600)
The graceful upward curve of its concrete roofs stands as a tribute to what people 50 years ago thought was futuristic. Home stadium of the NGSA football club.
Ulyanof is the provincial capital of Lupinissia, a prairie city built on agriculture industries (mostly wheat, cattle, and corn) and the Western Mutual insurance cooperative. Despite being a large city of 4 million, it’s known for a friendly, laid-back, country culture. Microbreweries and bistros are thick around Platt Place and the Lorimier district. The surrounds have got great spots for whitewater rafting. The ultramodern Art Institute of Lupinissia is the city’s newest architectural landmark.

MANAGERIAL STAFF
Manager: Miles Snavely
Miles Snavely has been less than succesful in 3 Copa Rushmori runs with two round fo Sixteens all that he has been able to muster. In his first World Cup they did something similar. This is likely his third and final campaign as the national team manager and while he inherited the first side to qualify he took them to real heights in his years. A Group Win at a World Cup, and a top finish in qualifying. As long as he qualifies for the World Cup he might be the second greatest national team manager in doing so, even if his winning percentage does not excited a lot of fans.

GOALKEEPERS

1 – Florian Wagner – Capetown Crocs 69 Caps, 0 Goals, 20 Years Old
Florian walks into his 20's with over 65 caps and that is not something that a lot of international football players ever get to say, let alone one as young as he is, and one in a position that experience is often favorted over skill. Wagner likely has his eyes on a move from Capetown Crocs this upcoming year and to do so he will need to continue to show the world that a national team with only 20 odd goals against over the last two qualifying campaigns has one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

12 – Emmit Nickleby – Taeshan City Miners 0 Caps, 18 Years Old
It's hard to compete in goal with the great young gope of Florian Wagner, but Emmit Nickleby seems likely to be the main backup option. Isaac Leyton is also a good choice but Nickleby has definitely come on hot, and with all three playing well Snavely has a lot of choice, if he so chooses to use it.

24– Isaac Leyton – New Capetown Falcons 0 Caps, 21 Years Old
New Capetown has an incredible campaign a year ago and Leyton really came out of a tormented shell of formerly being with relegation fodder Nordiques, and then a less than fancied Falcons. If the side continues to impress he can definitely have a chance to compete with the other two young shotstoppers for the Knights.

DEFENDERS
4 - CB, Liam McKenzie - Yaton FC 23 Caps, 1 goal, 24 Years Old
A respectable first performance starting for Liam McKenzie. While the Knights let in a few more goals in the Copa Rushmori than they would prefer the defense was not really the issue, the offense just didn't do a great job of creating their own chances and protecting the young center back pairing.

20- CB, Foster Benjamin - Wolfin Wolves 4 Caps, 0 goals, 18 Years Old
Foster Benjamin's campaign to show out in a Copa Rushmori and get a big money move for his club and career didn't start of incredible. The eyes of scouts around Rushmore likely had circled Pasarga vs Taeshan as a big Group Stage match and the young center-back was not impressive. The later results showed more ability on the ball and defensive acumen, but the early first impressions will need to be turned around for him to earn a move.

22 - RB, Sullivan Garrett - Moresville FC 42 Caps, 0 Goals, 18 Years Old
Sullivan Garrett found himself somehow the elder statesmen in the back four behind only Santiago Santiago. He has 40 caps at such a young age and like Benjamin seems to be trying to impress for a big move from Moresville. Unlike Benjamin his national team jitters are well behind him and we will hopefully see the young fullback continue to impress and launch his career moving forward.

23 - LB, Santiago Santiago – Oljestaden (Audioslavia) 104 Caps, 1 Goal, 26 Years Old
The leader of the defense Santiago has been starting for almost a decade and he has yet to lose a step. The big issue in this last campaign was more he had an impressively inexperienced international crew beside him and it showed especially in the quarterfinal loss to Valladares. Santiago will have to rally his defensive troops as a long qualifying campaign looms large, and the Knights will likely be a second seed after their less than stellar finals performance.

2 – Lyle Marchand – 1093 Club de Football Atlantea 1 cap, 19 Years Old
A strong young center back for the champions of Taeshan, Marchand likely had a shout to be the second starter for the Knights and if his club skill continues to show he may be in for a shout at starting for the side. That said three good young center backs for such a defensive national team is not something to be upset about.

3- Victor Borja– Club Jim Falls (Darmen) 28 Caps, 27 Years Old
The defensive stalwart on the bench Borja is the defensive fullback on this squad and can come in on either side to be a shut down defender, especially against speedier wingers and the like. He sees a lot of action for a backup fullback, and can also do a job as a wide midfielder in a pinch, although unlikely.

5 - Falstaff Kyte– New Capetown Nordiques 0 Caps, 0 Goals, 16 Years Old
The more attacking fullback on the bench Kyte is a young whippersnapper and we mean it. He's the annoying type for opposing attackers and defenders and is the heir apparent to the right back position when Santiago Santiago retires and Sullivan Garrett moves over to his natural position.

MIDFIELDERS

6- CDM, Yoshimi Hirahito – Urbizania Wanderers (Astograth) 87 Caps, 3 Goals, 22 Years old
An interesting move from Yoshimi Hirahito as he becomes surprisingly the first Tae to move to Astograth as he joins Wanderers. Apparently the semi-permeable membrane moving players between the nations had only worked the other way previously. Yoshimi moves to a league that historically is better than Taeshan's so I guess that is a good move, even if recently the Tae clubs have been more impressive.

14 - RM, Nycolas Jackson – RGS Athletic (Eastfield Lodge) 96 Caps, 6 Goals, 22 Years Old
The only player on the squad currently a recognized Galactico long list player, in what is shocking yet not, Jackson is the only player in the midfield that has recent Champions league experience, and that must count for something. That said he definitely needs a better upcming campign if the side are to advance in the upcoming World Cup.

18- LM, Shiloh Morgenstern – Sabrefell Moths (Nephara) 106 Caps, 19 Goals, 26 Years OldCaptain
The big move for Shiloh has come for a second time as he departed his home in Cosumar to be the first Taeshani to play for one of the biggest clubs in the World, let alone Nephara as he joins Sabrefell Moths. Perhaps the biggest scene a Tae player has ever been on, with a club expected to win not only national titles, but compete for international ones. Hopeuflly much like the move to Real Azuris the stage will not get to him, and hopefully neither will being let off of the Galacticos long list.

20 – CAM, Benjamin Moriarty – Yaton FC 55 Caps, 2 Goals, 24 Years Old
Moriarty has been the attacking stalwart for the Knights since Sneijder seems to be expected to run the channels more. Starting to Attacking Midfielders together makes you think they would swap positions, but Moriarty seems to have a problem playing with his back to goal that Sneijder developed, likely from his time playing for a less than fancied Yenvil side.

8 - Xavier Ydrissil - Atlantea Hurricanes 1 Cap, 0 Goals, 17 Years Old
A first cap for the young Ydrissil in Savojarna and it hopefully is the start to a long international career for Xavier. He is a great young attacking player that can spell on the wide midfield positions and in the AM position. He is likely middle of the line among these bench midfielders, so expect maybe 5 caps over this campaign from the young Atlantea prospect.

15 – Elton Kenoby – Mierton Manatees 1 Cap, 0 Goal, 19 Years Old
Another young player earning his first cap as Mierton based Kenoby tricked some defenders with some technical skill in his lone Copa Rushmori cap. A good wide midfielder with a lot of speed and technical ability Kenoby is likely the main option on the bench if you need a wider attacking option.

17- Xavier Melchoir – Mynda Electra (Banija) 19 Caps, 1 Goal, 26 Years Old
A left footed midfielder that is the likely option for a left footed replacement for Morgenstern. Melchoir has spent a good 3 or so tournaments with the Knights and hasn't seen a lot of action and with Morgenstern being the leader and turning more into a goalscorer recently he seems less and less used recently.

19 – Giacomo Pantalaimon – Hannah 23 Caps, 2 Goals, 24 Years Old
An attacking body and a wide midfield option Pantalaimon is likely the least favored in this group of bench players as his campaign in the Copa was more about being a glue guy, and a atmosphere builder and less about his actual on the field play.

21 – Lionel Ninetails – Bayern-Algaer 8 Caps, 2 Goals, 20 Years Old
The attacking midfield option for the Knights who can also play some CDM. Ydrissil may see more time than him as the latter, but Ninetails had a good showing in Savojarna and will likely be called upon to play anywhere in the midfield diamond.

STRIKERS

9 - RS, Wilhelm Nkitilina – KT Itzalovalle (Audioslavia) 94 Caps, 49 Goals, 24 Years Old
6 caps away from a century for Wilhelm as the forward continues to be the most likely scorer on this lineup. LArson Sneijder being more of a decoy has less to Wilhelm scoring more, and that is good for everyone. Only a season or so removed from contending for an Audioslavian title Wilhelm is likely looking to push his for to continue to be one of the best, but least recgonized, goal-scorers in the world.

11-LS, Larson Sneijder – Yenvil Town FC 62 Caps, 6 Goals, 22 Years old
Sneijder seems closer and closer to getting the move from Yenvil that the young midfielder for club, speedy forward option for country has been hoping for for years. He is likely to get a fee much like Morgenstern's in the next transfer window especially if Yenvil has any hope of not quickly falling apart after he departs.

8 - RS, Pierre Elciega - Mierton Manatees 1 Cap, 0 Goals, 17 Years Old
The young forward on the bench earned a first cap in the Copa Rushmori but likely needs some more time to develop. He has the scoring ability, but the physical side of things make it seem like he may have been called up a little too early to actually be an important piece in this team, and may need a few more years of seasoning.

13 – Shannon Lafayette - Chalesm FC (Sqournshelous) 20 Caps, 2 Goals, 24 Years Old
Beyond Elciega the forward options on the bench include the brutish Lafayette who knows how to play with his back to the net after years of trial and tribulation in Ojian. His body knows how to take a hit, and that can be a good thing with some weird international fixtures in places we have yet to here of likely on the dockett.

16 – Elmo Brubaker – Hannah 23 Caps, 3 Goals, 24 Years Old
Brubaker is also a physical specimen but he also has the pace that Lafayette doesn't quite need to use. Brubaker can play in any of the three attacking positions and can also be deployed as more of a winger if the midfield shape goes from a skinny diamoond to more of a flat 4-4-2.

Home Away

Manager
Colin Donaldson Image
Age: 56
Former Schottia skipper, and assistant boss under Lionel Mah, he is a legendary figure back home. He served his apprenticeship during Schottia’s rise to the top of the World Rankings, and has witnessed success - and the sacrifices required – up close. He’s attack minded, but not gung-ho, and will assess the squad before making a decision. Last World Cup was a mixed bag, with a good start to the qualifiers with a poor run in the middle before dominating the end. Things looked very good with the escape from the group of death as group winners, but an early elimination from knockouts means he is on thin ice.

Assistant Manager
Jens Reiniger Image
Age: 50
Reiniger was an intelligent defender in his playing days with Crawford City FC and the idea of stepping away from the game after his playing retirement didn't sit well with him. Reiniger believes in strict discipline but in being fair, while also preferring to play a possession based defensive tactic, that takes advantage of the opposition when they overextend. Much was admired about his single-minded approach to playing the 'right way', but his lack of a Plan B sank him in the rough waters of the Nepharim Premiership. The VSC hopes that attitude and defensive prowess would be better utilized in a national team capacity.

Keeper

1 Sean Smørdal, Starling Image
Age - 34
Sex - M
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 181 lbs
His height, sheer natural athleticism, and profound reflexes have been put to the test both domestically and for the national teams. There are many glimpses of what could be a stand out keeper for the ages but there seems to be a lack of focus to keep that majesty going. Regardless, he has proven to be one of the better keepers in the Marauders recent history and is heads and shoulders above the competition for the number one jersey. If he were to only refine that focus, get more consistent, then the Marauders could lessen their worry about defense and get back to playing the free flowing attacking play that they made famous nearly eighty years ago.

Defenders

4 Hans Vold, Rolalas FC
Age - 31
Sex - M
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 166 lbs
Vold very well may be the sole reason that the Blues have become a challenger for the IFCF places in the Premiership over the last few years from their usual midtable standing. Decently tall while being deceptively strong given the lanky frame, his a professional defender that can hold his own and lead the backline if it is required of him. Being a bit faster than the other defenders, he will be asked to drift wide when the wingers are caught out of position.

6 Martin Gundersen, Mar Sara FC
Age - 29
Sex - M
Height: 6'5"
Weight: 193 lbs
Gundersen comes in as your favored strong giant who controls the back and is as much as a nusance to attacking players as the rules of the game allow him to be. A tad on the slower side for a Vanorian but his awareness to detail and ability to track the game means he is usually in the best position to make a critical tackle or clearing header.

2 Matheo Dybvik, Rozelle Image
Age - 30
Sex - M
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 164 lbs
Matheo is a smart centerback who has the versatility to both put in crunching tackles and also play it out of the back, perhaps a touch of his heritage mixed in with his time in Brenecia. Unlike at his club, he will be asked to drift out wide to mark attackers, which is the biggest question mark of his game.

Midfield

8 Pánfilo Veliz, FC Capri
Age: 27
Sex - M
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 156 lbs
The first player born in Sabine and Caddonia to make the national team, Veliz was carefully groomed to be a dynamic attacking winger coming through the Capri youth and reserve teams. That masterfully ability to dribble, cross, or if needed even finish moves makes him a wonderful assist for the offensive side of the ball, but does mean he is a bit more lax when it comes to his defensive responsibilities.

7 Amalie Nergård, Anomalies Image
Age - 29
Sex - F
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 147 lbs
Sometimes thought of as a more attacking center mid, other times more of a utility midfielder. Regardless, she is quite talented and will play her out of and leave everything on the field to see her side have success.

10 Laborious Hawk, Bastion Image
Age - 747
Sex -M
Height: 6'5"
Weight: 213 lbs
Words do not even begin to define his talent, his talent defines words. He was awarded one of the spots that the Vanorians have in the World Cup Hall of Fame, with it being very well deserved, as he has and continues to earn everything he has been given every single day. Hawk simply strives to be the very best footballer, captain, and teammate that there can be, with the hunger for perfection driving him forth on and off the pitch.

5 Jakob Larsen, Unioneers Image
Age - 30
Sex - M
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 174 lbs
A tall and lanky fellow, but don't let the lithe frame fool you, he is a destroyer through and through and will not think twice about putting in a crunching challenge on you in a fifty-fifty situation. Perhaps due to playing over in Eura, Larsen is a bit more of a physical player than most Vanorians but has that touch of technical class that one has come to expect from a Vanorian midfielder.

3 Simon Kvaal, Pikemouth Image
Age - 31
Sex - M
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 158 lbs
Truly a masterful maestro out wide, with both the dynamic passing and crossing ability that makes managers salivate and desire his services for their own club. With the departure of most of the elves, now bar Hawk, Kvaal finally has been given his chance to show that he is up to the Vanorian standard and can proudly be adorned in that five star crested kit that he grew up idolizing.

Strikers

9 Harlem Saxstrom Image, Mar Sara FC
Age - 29
Sex - F
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 154 lbs
Saxstrom proved to be everything that the Marauders were hoping for and more with her deft touch, good pace, and amazing power on her shot. Paired with Thor, the pair were a fierce force to be reckoned with moving forward and almost single handidly took the Marauders deep into the World Cup Knockouts once more. Having some time together and both in their prime should hopefully see a replication of their form from two years ago if not an improvement on it.

11 Thor Møller, Shamrock Cathair Image
Age - 30
Sex - M
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 157 lbs
While Harlem may be decently well rounded as a striker, Thor is the complete package in pace, strength, accuracy on shooting, as well as the ability to absolutely blast the laces off the ball if required. In the prime of his career and having already proven he is up to the task at hand with a great goal return during the last World Cup, Thor will be looking to help the Marauders hopefully add a sixth star to their crest.

About Terre Septentrionale:

Terre Septentrionale consists of 20 Townships (Cantons) and a federal district. Terre Septentrionale is located on an island in the northern part of the globe and the climate is similar to a ReallifeStates nation called "Iceland". In summer, the weather ranges from 0°Celsius (32° Fahrenheit) to 20° Celsius (68° Fahrenheit). Terre Septentrionale was discovered during the 16th century by French explorer Jacques Cartier and was colonized in the 17th century by French, English, Polish, Croat, Slovene, Magyar, Spanish and Czech peoples. After some fights, the eastern part of Terre Septentrionle was a French colony and the western part, a Polish colony. The eastern part got it's independence from France in 1792 while the western part became independent from Poland in 1907. East and West Terre Septentrionale united in 1957 and it's now a single nation on the island.

Terre Septentrionale, once a catholic nation, is now one of the most secular nation in the multiverse. The "loi pour la laïcité" (secularism bill) was passed in the '90s and since then religious signs are illegal in the nation. In Terre Septentrionale it's illegal to wear a veil, an hijab, a burka and however they call it. It's also illegal to display any religious sign, such as catholic crosses, in public and religion is now looked with disdain.

To reach Terre Septentrionale, you have to take an international flight and land at one of the three international airports. All gas vehicles (except planes) are banned in Terre Septentrionale. For inter cities transportation, the best way to travel is by electric bus because the train system isn't developped. Our inter cities buses, made by InnovaBus, are luxurious with lots of spaces between seats. You can also rent an electric car with Hétu Car Rentals. Most common rented cars are the Chèvrefils Volt and the Niedzwiecki Leaf. If you prefer luxury cars, you can rent a Mercedes-Belzile EQ car. For intra cities transportation, we suggest taking the bus. Intra cities buses aren't as much luxurious as inter cities buses but they're still comfortable. Buses are passing every 30 minutes in non rush hour and every 10 or 15 minutes in rush hour. Ville Jacques-Cartier is the only city with a subway system with 5 metro lines.

We have many hotel chains in Terre Septentrionale. Claremount hotels, like Claremount Château Frontenac in Ville Jacques-Cartier, are 5 stars hotels. There's a Claremount hotel in Ville-Jacques-Cartier, Trzebiegoszcz, Yamaska and Papineauville. The two largest hotel chains are the Skrzypczak Hotel Group and Massicotte International. Both have an hotel in every major cities in Terre Septentrionale and they're all 4 stars hotels, except the Massicotte Château Champlain in Ville Jacques-Cartier, which is a 5 stars hotel.

If fans from your nation made it to Terre Septentrionale, but they didn't got tickets for the game, they still can watch the game at our many pubs and sports bars. Ostrzeszow Pizza Restaurant and Sports Bar has 59 restaurants and sports bars around Terre Septentrionale.

All inhabitants of Terre Septentrionale are fluent in two languages, more often French and Polish. Some others are fluent in French and English or in Polish and Croat. Some other inhabitants are fluent in three languages, more often French, Polish and English. Other languages spoken in Terre Septentrionale are Croat, Magyar, Slovene, Spanish and some native american languages.
