The Imperial State of Piikala sends a fleet of ships made up of 8 destroyers, three missiles cruiser, five attack submarines, two nuclear submarines, one aircraft carrier, five supply ships, ten long-range patrol boats, and 1,000 Piikalan marines into the Kebabibabi waters to protect Piikalan vessels. The fleet will not attack unless shot at and it will not invade Kebabibabi but protect Piikalan interests. It also sends a large fleet of 30 civilian cargo ships with the fleet filled with goods that are to be traded with the Kebabibabi nation.

VIAD raid in Donalal City sees two arrested

8.15.20 - 23:48

Late this evening, VIAD officers conducted an operation to extradite the following individuals on charges of terrorism and sedition:

Petros Itvanikopa: Wanted for participation with LFW and ISIS.
Kasimir Gregori: Wanted for participation with ISIS and the Democratic Front.
Strabo Horváth: Wanted for participation with ISIS and the Democratic Front.

At around 21:22, a unit of VIAD officers were deployed into the southern end of Donalal City, where they split off into two divisions. One team member was placed in a building facing directly toward the apartment complex that the three terrorists were using as a hideout. With one member scouting the area, the other members of the unit pushed forward through a narrow alleyway before entering an unidentified apartment complex 2 kilometers away. VIAD official reports state that after entering the complex, the unit marched toward the second floor before breaching. A firefight ensued after the VIAD unit entered the room, and a terrorist identified as Kasimir Gregori was fatally wounded in the engagement. Following this, the VIAD unit successfully captured the other two members and secured the body of Kasimir Gregori. From there, the VIAD unit exited the building through a backdoor, before being airlifted by a Mi-2URN Helicopter located about 5 kilometers away from the apartment complex. Once extracted, the captured terrorists were taken back to Varenskjyr. An official declaration from the Ministry of Defense has confirmed that Petros Itvanikopa and Strabo Horváth are now incarcerated and are awaiting trial.

Komidant Hjalmar Urzutkilsik and Premier Vlado Chernozemski gave a joint statement later, congratulating the VIAD unit for their accomplishment and thanking the Kebabibabi Dictatorship for its support in the endeavor. At 22:45, Komidant Hjalmar Urzutkilsik said:

We greatly thank the Kebabibabi Dictatorship and Bechick Donalal for their supporting in this operation. We were given approval by the Kebabibabian authorities to conduct this arrest on their soil, and through their cooperation we were able to bring these criminals to justice. We also welcome the signing of peace between the nation of Estados Vaticanos and the Kebabibabi Dictatorship, and we hope that the deescalation process will only further our efforts at countering terrorism, separatism, and violent extremism in these countries.

Since August 12, tensions between the nation of Estados Vaticanos and the Kebabibabi Dictatorship had increased exponentially, with both nations escalating in violent rhetoric and even threatening to unleash WMDs on one another. The Vatican Fleet had been mobilized, and several other nations entered the fray and offered their own support. Despite this, peace was found between the two nations before further violence could occur. Both nations have agreed to an accord forbidding military intervention in either country, as well as the removal of targeted weapons aimed at one another's shores.

Petros Itvanikopa is a former commander of Jayash Tharwar al-Kalkenistan (JTK). He became wanted by the VIAD and Ministry of Defense after the April 17th Stuka Bombing, which killed 23 people. It is unclear how Itvanikopa became affiliated with JTK, but intelligence officers have discovered that Itvanikopa came from a rural family, and most likely became coopted into the movement with lures of wages and bribes. After joining, Itvanikopa rose through the ranks quickly, and other captured JTK members recount that Itvanikopa was known especially for his ruthlessness. It is known that Itvanikopa developed an intense rivalry with Ibrahim Rûm and on many occasions the two fought one another. During the Ingushian Civil War, JTK operatives attempted to create a territorial fiefdom in Ingushia, making them adversaries to the Kominique-e-Muhammad. After evading a VIAD raid on June 3, 2012, Petros Itvanikopa fled to Syria where he became a major strategist for the organization's Deir-e-Zor division. After the Battle of Baghouz in 2019, VIAD officers attempted to arrest Itvanikopa, but these proved to be unsuccessful.

Strabo Horváth and Kasimir Gregori were both originally members of the Democratic Front and both were declared criminals after the assassination of Vice Kommidant Boris Rurik. After fleeing the country sometime in 2014, the crossed from Turkey into Syria, where they were placed into the Varenskjyrian wing of the Islamic State's Deir-e-Zor division. From there, the two became subordinates to Petros Itvanikopa. After the Battle of Baghouz in 2019, Horváth and Gregori fled with Itvanikopa from country to country until they arrived in Kebabibabi.
